Summer Sun

Edit 01/25 I haven't used this for a really long time. I still haven't even used a quarter of my original bottle. I ended up getting into fragrance big time and just never reached for this but decided to try it again tonight out of curiosity. I'm nowhere near as impressed with it now. It smells nice but it lasts like two minutes. I could decant some to take out with me but I'd have to be topping up every five minutes. It's more like a body mist than an edp. It's got a bit of a harsh smell too. I don't like to say synthetic coz synthetic can be amazing at times but I think it applies here. I doubt that it does smell exactly like BG now tbh, I'd need to test that one again. It's a shame it's so weak coz I think in the really hot summer it'd be lovely paired with a matching body lotion. I might use it for layering in the summer this year and just use it as a topper for something stronger. Smells identical to Bronze Goddess, at least from my memory. I only ever had a free sample of BG and got this after I'd used it up so I haven't tested them side by side. Smells like a pina colada. I'm surprised there's no pineapple in it. Pretty summer scent. Reminds me of being on holiday, suncream and malibu and pineapple juice. Such a good bargain aswell. Huge 100ml bottle for £12 or something (I wish I'd got the gift set with the body cream for around the same price though 🙄). Not the strongest or longest lasting but not terrible, and for the price you don't feel bad overspraying.

Next UK "Summer Sun" 2026 100ml Eau de Parfum 236ml Body Lotion (and a shimmer version) 145ml Body Shimmer Oil I had the pleasure of working for Estee Lauder and every year on training day the Bronze Goddess would be cracked open and all of its variants. We knew summer had arrived when we could spray copious bottles through the season around our scent world, captivating passers by. Hands down, after years of smelling Bronze Goddess, Next have pretty much nailed it. It's about 20% weaker but it's exactly the same juice and I love it. The Estee Lauder Bronze Goddess Body Cream was outstanding and the Next Summer Sun Body Lotion is an excellent replica Personally, I'd avoid the SHIMMER it's very silver, and the grade of mica isn't refined. Just stick to the perfume and body lotion. 4-5 hours lasting power of you've sprayed onto oil or body cream. TIP: If you own Dior "Amber Nuit" I'd spray that first then the Summer Sun for an extra boozy summer scent.

I've been buying this for years and really love it. £14 for 100ml with a free 200ml matching body lotion. Bargain! I also have the 2019 EDP of EL Bronze Goddess, whish cost around £85 for 100ml. They smell and perform so similarly it's crazy. BG has slightly more defined florals. I wear fragrance for my own pleasure and like to be able to smell my own fragrance, so I do tend to over spray. This I can spray freely with abandon, while saving the EL BG for when I am going out. Next also do a fragrance called Pure Happiness, which I am also a big fan of. It's a creamy white floral, with Jasmine, bergamot, lemon, almond, coconut, vanilla, amber and sandalwood. I would highly recommend trying this one too, if you can get it!

Another eBay bargain! I only got a 10ml travel spray as it was a blind buy , but I had a good idea how it would smell from the notes . I'm very happy with it for the low price I paid , I will definitely be seeking out a large bottle for next summer now. It's a beautiful coconut, tiare flower beachy tropical goddess type perfume. Lasted quite.a while on my skin . Nice caramel and amber dry down. Id wear this on sultry summer nights and even in the early autumn days ,which it is right now in the UK . In the high heat of the day in summer I prefer freshies/Colognes and even mens frags , I can't wear these type of frags in the day as I find them a bit sickly for me. Perfect for summer nights !!

It's Spring here at the moment and I happened to come across this bottle in my collection and gave a spray. A lovely suncream coconut scent that evokes Summer sun holidays. On me I get a lovely gentle white floral note with a warm caramel base that saves it from being a screechy beach only scent. It doesn't actually seem out of place to wear it at this time of year so I wouldnt class it as only a Summer scent. I get no ginger as others have noted and although I can see the commonalities between this and Crystal Noir I find this much less cloying and abrasive. Cheap and cheerful and lasts well for the price! Recommend - especially if you love coconut!
