Cloud Essence 28.08

Immediately got a compliment from my Husband unprovoked🤯, this is major since he could care less about fragrances. This fragrance is creamy & fresh smelling, without being gourmand, & it’s NOT a laundry fragrance either. I do NOT feel it’s a dupe of L’Eau Papier (which is one of my all time FAVORITE fragrances), but it’s just as lovely & easy to wear, truly signature scent worthy💯

I had high hopes for a prominent rice powder note, but this unfortunately opens and stays as a perfumey milky coriander. It leans heavily into a green, petrichoric musk territory and, true to its genre, remains incredibly low-profile. While it sits close to the skin, you do get a faint, hovering cloud of molecules right after spraying. Ultimately, it leaves me wanting more. On the bright side, if you aren't a fan of vanilla, you're safe here—it's completely imperceptible.

A perfume line inspired by dreams and by aromas that could awaken them. 28.08 is meant to evoke a soft white cloud: sweet, creamy, and enveloping. It’s a non-intrusive gourmand fragrance, sugary in just the right way, like a sweet foam. The vanilla is always present, yet never cloying. I’m not usually a fan of gourmand scents, but I have to say this one truly feels like a cozy embrace, perfect for winter. “Cloud Study” by Constable.

Has the same kind of musk as Parisian Musk or Pas Ce Soir. Sadly it's a musk that smells offensive to my nose, occulting any quality this might otherwise possess. If you enjoy the perfumes I mentionned and want a very dressed down version, maybe you should try it out.

A cozy gourmand for those of us who can't stand overly sweet caramel-y vanillas. Good everyday fragrance that's growing on me the more I wear it. Edit after several wears: The coriander is a great addition here, adding just the slightest (when I say 'slightest,' I mean it) hint of freshness and greenness that uplifts the scent and stops it from becoming anything close to cloying. I agree with its comparisons to Parisian Musc, albeit this is a very simplified version of it. I do wish it lasted longer.

This scent reminds me of an unripe banana, when it’s still a soft neon green color. It’s creamy and only slightly tart with a clean sweetness. A delectable minimalist gourmand. Makes me think of clean bright skin, someone with a babyface, a white frothy banana and sugar milk shake and a sky filled with bright glowing fluffy cumulus clouds.

Fluffy, light and inoffensive. Clean smelling and a bit musky. Reminds me of a lighter version of Nude by Mith.
