Mercury

Got this in my ScentXplore sample box and it took me by storm. This is basically Amouage's Crimson Rocks but without that cloying honey-drenched vibe which ruins it for me. It's what Crimson Rocks *should* have been. This is much fresher, still sweet (from cinnamon I'm guessing) and very rose-forward with spicy undertones. I'm surprised I don't get much citrus here to my nose. Opening is all rose and then spices and a powdery drydown. Unisex, in my opinion (although as a guy, you have to be into rose). Beautiful, smooth and well blended. Surprisingly long lasting (I'm on 10 hours and it's a skin scent now but still very prominent, not pushing out but I catch whiffs of it) but not intrusive. Used judiciously it would be office safe, I think. Very good first impression of this brand. Edit 4/20/2024: I've now gone through the entire discovery set and as it turns out, this along with Uranus are my favorite two among the set. I can't get enough of Mercury's powdery zingy rose. It's gotten me a lot of compliments as well, including one from a complete stranger, haha. For those who are into rose, this is absolutely worth getting your nose on.

not powdery at all. smells like a rich grandma. super spicy, rich, deep. Smells like spicy, amber, florals with hints of citrus. I hate powdery scents and this is perfect.

Definite Ambre Nuit vibes! Absolutely wonderful scent and so easy to wear, male or female. A safe blind buy because it’s just that nice!! 😍💕

I tried a sample of this fragrance and I really like it. It has a perfectly blended scent that is refreshing and unique. Unlike the trend that many luxury brands use more and more notes, this one uses just a few notes but it is created masterfully. The citrus top notes are subtle and the blend of rose and coriander is especially interesting. It's a clean, everyday fragrance with a hint of soapy vibe. The combination of spicy and floral notes makes it unisex. Overall, it's a very successful release and I would recommend it. 8/10

A lovely powdery rose scent. I think it is similar to others I have experienced but glad I had the opportunity to sample .

Oh this is lovely! Reminds me of Tiger By Her Side by Sana Jardin but more citrusy which makes it a bit more unisex!
