Pink Friday

I snagged this fragrance for $14.99 and immediately returned it before I even left the parking lot. I smelled nothing but alcohol. Later in the day, I kept getting whiffs of something tropical and didn't realize what it was until the next day. My husband said I smelled yummy. I couldn't believe he could still smell that. As soon as I saw it again, I purchased it and I'm so glad I gave it another try because now it is one of my spring/summer MUST haves! It's one of the few fragrances that performs exceptionally well in very hot/humid weather and it lasts a really long time on my skin. Great for summer vacation. I think the 1st one I got may have been old, but the 2nd bottle smelled amazing! Very nice fruity island vibes. I have no idea why people claim this smells anything like Juicy Couture because I cannot stomach any of the Juicy Coutures. This is nothing like that. This doesn't smell like a cheapie teen fragrance to me. Fun, but not cheap. It's also not super refined and expensive smelling either. Just like a pretty young woman in her early to mid twenties from a tropical island. Although it smells like that, you can wear this anywhere any time and not be offensive at all. It lasts but is not a strong projector. I'd say within an arm's reach for the 1st 2-3hrs, then it's closer to the skin. I notice, men in particular always compliment me on this fragrance. They really love it and are surprised when I say it's from Nicki Minaj and only $15 bucks! I know a lot of people don't like the bottle, but I have an appreciation for Nicki and I think the smell and bottle are very her. So it doesn't bother me. I think it's actually one of the better looking bottles from her collection actually. I'm definitely getting a backup and now I want to try the Pink Friday Special Edition and the Deluxe Edition.

AM I A NICKI FAN ?? Pull up in the monster, automobile gangsta~ This is Roman Zolanski personified, this screams colorful 2010's pop music and I adore it. The bottle design is really hated by some, but loved by me, the color scheme is so so cute and represents the aesthetic Onika went for, for the Pink Friday album perfectly. Think of a fruity/sweet dream. A nice Carambola complimented by the Blackberry and Italian Mandarin in the opening, then, when it dries down I fully get the Caramel, Pear, Lotus and a slighty creamy Star Jasmine. Even if you smell it at the opening I think that the Blackberry and Italian Mandarin are stealing the show, and when it dries down you get them but in a really slight and subtle way, as if they were base notes on an EDT. A ton of fragrance lovers describe Pink Friday as a dupe for Viva La Juicy, but I don't think so. It is indeed similar with some close and similar notes but I think it is really more fruity and just similar not the SAME. It lasts surprisingly good for a celebrity perfume, Pink Friday being my second celebrity perfume after the infamous and disgusting Adam Levine perfume range. Then I recently bought Indi Visible from Katty Perry makin it my third celebrity perfume and it proves my point on saying that Nicki's Pink Friday lasting power is beast mode compared to the others that I tried. I really consider getting another flanker before it becomes even harder to find in France, I have the 50ml bottle which is already fine but I might get the 100ml. Definitely wanting to get Onika as well since it seems like a more mature Pink Friday. Her EDP's seems to last forever. Love, love, love. 9.5/10

Several of the perfumes I own are blind buys from discount stores and pink Friday is one that I see all the time . However I never felt drawn to buy this because I don’t particularly like NIcky Minajs music and I didn’t think this perfume bottle was pretty enough to justify an impulse buy. A few weeks ago I found an opened box of pink Friday at Tj maxx and without thinking about it too much I sprayed it once on my coat sleeve. I thought it was extremely sweet so I put the bottle back and moved on with my day and I left my coat in my trunk to take it to the dry cleaners... a few days later I pulled the coat out and a beautiful scent hit me , woody florals with a hint of sweetness. I mentally retraced my steps trying to remember which perfume I had tested on my coat sleeve, I even went back to the same store to check out all the perfumes , and there it was , the same bottle now on clearance (because it was opened ) and I couldn’t believe that was the fragance I was looking for because I didn’t like it the first time around. I bought a full size bottle and a backup after that because this perfume really makes me happy . It starts very strong , fruity, citric and very syrupy at first, it reminds me of a summer cocktail , then it slowly evolves into something beautiful and ultra feminine. This perfume is a rollercoaster but one that I enjoy from start to finish . I’ve read a lot of reviews here that say longevity is not great but this last 6-8 hrs on my skin , maybe not noticeable from afar but It’s definitely there. Lasts for days on clothes.

I'm not a fan of nicki Minaj or her music but I must admit her perfumes do smell pretty. Nothing amazing but they are lovely. Not a fan of the bottle either but I kinda think them to be a bit cute. I never would have thought Id buy her perfume but my little cousin (15) wanted a nicki Minaj perfume. My sister in law (27) and I (24) were sniffing NM perfumes to figure out which to get for my cousin. We sprayed our wrists and the whole shopping trip we kept sniffing them. We were surprised at how pretty they smelled. My sister in law caved and bought Minajesty. We bought Pink Friday and Minajesty for my cousin. This was two years ago by the way. Since then, I have been sneaking sprays of Pink Friday because it smells so good! It's a girly, flirty scent. Fruity and the right amount of sweet. Doesn't last long but hat doesn't really matter much to me. A few weeks ago I found a pack of Nicki Minaj (pink Friday, pink Friday special edition and minajesty) purse sprays for a decent price and purchased them right away. After days of using them I decided to invest in the bigger bottles and I don't regret. I know this scent has a lot of dislikes but it's actually a pretty like able scent. My hubby thinks I'm silly for buying Nicki Minaj perfumes but I'm happy with my purchases. I especially like pink Friday. I use it on days where I'm just lounging around the house or running errands in a t-shirt and jeans. I can't wait to wear this in cooler weather!

I don't know much about perfumes, especially the low, high and main notes of a perfume. I can't even detect certain ingredients in a perfume so it is a little hard for me to explain how something smells..... Let me just get on with my review. I got this perfume for Christmas from my sister. I've been wanting this perfume for awhile because I smelt it at a department store and fell in love quickly. I used to HATE sweet and fruity perfume scents but as I got older, I started liking it a little bit more. Pink Friday is very sweet and citrusy. The sweetness of the scent is not overpowering and it doesn't give me a headache either. I like it for everyday use, going to work/school and even spraying it a couple times before doing errands. Not much of a night time perfume so I don't wear it when I go out. My boyfriend also loves it (he hates musky, mature scents) so this one is perfect. I can say that this scent is a little bit childish, teen like but anyone could wear it and the perfume does not last long at all. BUT AS FOR THE BOTTLE, I have a love/hate relationship with it. I love it because its very cute, I have the 100ml and the bust wears a Nicki Minaj necklace and the gold face reminds me of the Oscars award. I hate it because it reminds everyone that Nicki is very conceited person (as all of her perfumes are of her bust). Overall, I like the scent of it and the bottle is great to add to your collection, something different :)
