Fig Tea

It's a relief to discover I'm not the only one smitten by this fragrance. And it's interesting to see how much divergence of opinion there is in what it smells like. The opening is the one phase of this scent I don't like - photorealistic fig flesh. If you've ever made fig jam you know this smell, hot, juicy fig bubbling in a pan. Not at all what I enjoy smelling like. Happily this phase only lasts 5-10 minutes and then it's on to the main event, this gorgeous, dry osmanthus/mate scent that I suspect is addicting because it is something I find myself craving this especially in summer. The ending gives a little more space to the amber which provides a bit of sweetener to the finish. It's the long lasting, gorgeous middle that I crave. On me, even in the heat, sillage and longevity are good. Edit: More evidence of how polarizing this fragrance is: in the original version of Perfumes: the Guide, Tania Sanchez gives this one star, which I always thought was the one review in the guide where they simply got it wrong. In the new version of the Guide, Luca Turin give this four stars, saying it's one of the best treatments of osmanthus. Tania says she still hates it. I still spend the first few hours wondering why I put this on, but it just keeps getting better and by the next morning, I want it again.

As a devoted tea fragrance enthusiast, Nicolai Fig Tea consistently ranks among my top 3 most beloved tea scents. The mate tea note is subtly fragrant, yet its projection is remarkably impressive. The mate tea, combined with the incredibly captivating osmanthus flower, has led me to purchase my third bottle – purely because I'm addicted to the feeling of wearing it to work. It's a gentle floral tea scent with impressive longevity and sillage. Nicolai has crafted this fragrance exceptionally well; it feels both modern and fresh, yet simultaneously nostalgic and classic. The scent isn't overpowering but diffuses very gently, just enough to make a subtle impression on those around you. It's a versatile fragrance, suitable for work, dates, or simply meeting an old friend. The osmanthus, jasmine, and mate tea combination is simply exquisite on my skin. It lasts for over 8 hours on the skin and more than 10 hours on clothing.

I absolutely love Fig Tea! I purchased it as a tester since I love most everything from the House of Nicolai and boy was I pleasantly surprised! For me, it opens with a perfect blend of osmanthus, fig, a tiny hint of jasmine, artemisia and guaiac wood. At first I thought it might be a little too floral, but the drydown was absolutely lovely and blended to perfection. I can't stop smelling my wrist! It did become a skin scent within just a few minutes, but that's ok, it's the kind of private perfume that you share with your lover when he holds you close. Fig Tea is perfect for any occasion and a great scent for spring and summer, and very office appropriate. I imagine this is what Jayne Seymour would've worn in the movie Somewhere in Time with Christopher Reeve. Very private and oh so sensual.... Longevity 5/10 Sillage 3/10 Projection 3/10

I've been searching for an osmanthus frag for a while, and am so glad to encounter this beauty. This is by far THE MOST realistic osmanthus that revokes my childhood memory in China. The fruity but refreshing facade of osmanthus is well captured here (some may say it smells like apricot). I don't get the bitter mate tea at all, but there's definitely a hint of tea/greenness in the background. The DNA may seem to be similar to Memo Inle, because they both focus on osmanthus + mate. However, Inle is much heavier on the mate (almost 50/50), and Fig Tea is more osmanthus dominant (90/10). There are also many other frags that have the osmanthus note (such as amouage sunshine, TOC osmanthus, hermes osmanthus yunan etc.), but osmanthus is never the start of the show. Fig tea is all about osmanthus, which is why I love it.

vdxl, about longevity you have a point there, I never really spray more than 3times, perhaps I'm overly considerate with my surroundigs :P though I will try out at home, for solely my joy :) and I was fortunate enough to meet with Kiss Me Tender, but (on me) only vanille was detectable, though these days I was wondering about giving it another try, because my first and second encouter with it was in spring and summer. from Patricia Nicolai I do love Sacreblue (no longevity issues there). "We perfumistas should thank Patricia de Nicolai for her gorgeus creations :)" couldn't agree with you more :) edit: retested KMT, it's still mainly vanille on me, overall has a 100% resemblance to my cupcake doll from my childhood, that's why I couldn't take it too seriously.

The mix of osmanthus, orange, and tea is lovely. It invokes 'refreshing' and 'luminous' and yes, watercolors. Watercolors are quite beautiful. I only have a sample so I'm unable to spray, but I suspect that it's not going to perform in projection. It is lovely and stylistically reminds me of Osmanthus Yunnan, which I prefer, OY has more depth and complexity to it (but OY is my signature scent, so I'm biased) If I were looking for another osmanthus tea scent, I would purchase this, and I am tempted anyway because it's very well done with nothing synthetic to it. It's a wistful love for me. However, I already own Osmanthus Yunnan and the drydown reminds me of Yuzu Rouge which I also own, both of which are less delicate scents.

After wearing a sample of Fig Tea for a few days I ordered a full bottle. It's the right balanced amount of sweet and herbal for me. I can wear this fragrance easily every day. It's pleasant and doesn't interfere with dining. Wear it to lunch with your friends! They won't complain - they will more than likely compliment you. I can smell the fig and the tea and some florals, though I can't pick out specific flowers. It's just a nice, soothing blend of fragrances. It's not a beast when it comes to longevity, but then it is an EDT. I think for an EDT it's absolutely acceptable in the longevity and sillage departments. I recommend Fig Tea unless you're searching for a sex siren stank or a fragrance for a formal night out.

this is a clever, elegant perfume. I'm curious if relatively low scores are due to the expectations placed upon the name. it's fresh, clean, juicy without being sweet, and herbaceous. a sophisticated warm weather day scent with moderate to low sillage, and average longevity. it's office safe in my mind, and would make a playful yet intellectual signature to be known by. memorable yet unobtrusive, doesn't linger too long where its host is no longer, and refreshingly bright-- but remains sophisticated, and doesn't lean into juvenile territory. this one grew on me, and I began to crave it. the more you smell it, the more you want it around. very pleasant.

Just... stunning. I've never tried anything from this brand before, but if any of them are even half as good as this I'm sold. I got this in a parcel of samples from a friend and as soon as I sniffed it, I thought "osmanthus". I have a mild proclivity for these types of fragrances. It reminds me a little of the suburb I went to primary school in; the teachers, the book store, the library, people walking down the street. It's a subtle, but not quiet elegance. After that, a bit of green tea and fig not unlike Figue Sauvage (which I only have good things to say) On my skin, in the far background, I get a smidgen of chlorine... in the best, best way.

Got to test 2 ml and ohhhhh I love it!!! This is how citrus should be - bright, green-ish, uplifting, with a bit of florals. Particularly liking the fact that within couple of hours it goes smoothly to the calming mate tea note, still keeping bright citruses, but they are not so loud anymore. And although I'm not a fan of jasmine - here it's just so subtle and delicate that I really like to catch it between the woods. Update: wearing this a bit more and even more happy, it has even that creamy note on my skin which I like so much. Very unexpected turn from that bright opening! Ohhh what a magic. Omg, maybe I need a full bottle...

Fig Tea won't knock your socks off, but it is a very nice every day spritzer. If I'm not mistaken it's only around $100? Yes $100 is a lot but compared to fragrances around the $400 range this one's not too bad. It is very light and does not seem like it will last very long. Sometimes that's all you need. Surprisingly there is no fig! That is so funny. The essence is there. Between the orange and the apricot if you close your eyes you can smell and taste fresh fruit in particular fig juice. There's not much else to say. There’s no evolution here. What you do get is excellence in simplicity. Perfect for beginners.

I was very pleasantly surprised by this one after reading the negative reviews...I really love this one. I was expecting fig as a prominent note, but it's not a fruity gourmand or green fig, in fact, the fig isn't very noticeable to me at all. So the fig part of the name is misleading, but this dry, delicate herbal floral scent is tea-like. It smells very well-blended and natural- could be worn around babies and small children without seeming harsh or offensive. The longevity is moderate on me- a two sprays last several hours.

Absolutely stunning. I don't get fig or tea notes as much as I do osmanthus! It's a big juicy peach tea with clear hunks of ice and an unforgetable paper umbrella for your glass. This is everything I wanted Ex Niliho Fleur Narcotique to be minus the "metallic note" This is crisp and clean without being shampoo-y. Even tho it's an edt just a couple of sprays will carry you well past 8 hours. Great sillage without being intrusive and at an attainable price. Well done scent for summertime

Refreshing, fresh fig with hints of tea and fruity sweetness. Leans feminine but as a guy who loves fig, I would enjoy wearing this on a sunny day spent by myself reading a book in the back yard. Very natural, soft, pleasant, and charming. However, deep into the drydown, it loses the fig and fruity charms and becomes mostly soft white floral and feminine. That takes my scent score from an 8 to 6.5-7. Scent: 7 / Sillage: 6 / Longevity: 6

Opening smells just like sweet tea. Can’t really pick up any particular notes because that’s exactly what it smells like. Has a very faintly aquatic feel. Stays similar all the way to the dry down, but with a bit more of a soapy feel and slightly woodsy at the end. This is my new favorite tea fragrance. Manages to be uplifting and cozy at the same time. It has the type of scent profile that makes it work during any time of year.

I find this opening quite leafy with some bitter tea. Then in the dry down there is a fresh milky sweet fig that smooths it out. The silage is weak but the scent is a cool fresh aromatic figgy tea. It’s extremely pleasant but longevity and projection matter especially in niche. The scent itself is so refreshing just like a cold glass of sweet tea on a hot day. WHY are the beautiful ones so fleeting?

This is a great floral fruity scent, Fresh, Unique, Modern and UPLIFTING. There is no Fig note in this perfume ! I received a sample of that and I must tell you honestly that I fell in love with it at first sniff ! It has High Quality and Well-blended composition. It Smells similar to Cold Peach Cocktail. It is suitable for Hot weather, I love it. Highly Recommended. Thumbs Up. Rating : 8 / 10

I do not know osmanthus as a note well, but for me this fragrance is a pure joy. I had been looking for a fragrance like for a while. I smooth,fresh , fruity tea fragrance ! I absolutely love this fragrance, but performance could be better ! 5 to 6 hours longevity and fair projection and silage I do wish there was some more complexity, maybe with some papyrus or light airy patchouli

As others have noted, the name fig tea is misleading. Rather, it’s realistic osmanthus and orange with an understated mate backbone to add complexity. I don’t detect any coriander or guaiac wood, and I’m not sure what davana is supposed to smell like. It’s juicy and light without being juvenile. Love! I have a decant but already planning a FB purchase.

For me it smells like OPTIMISM, CHEERFULNESS and CONTENTMENT :) Best used on a nice sunny day, preferably holiday. In the first stage on me an apricot note dominates (osmanthus?), the drydown is extemely cosy, soft, sweet as fully ripe fig. Has longevity issue, I could appreciate a more concentrated version.

A very unique, bright, invigorating, and pretty fragrance. This fragrance is an interpretation of fig but instead, I pick up the peachy, apricot qualities of osmanthus and very slight orange. It's fruity, sweet, herbaceous, and slightly spicy. A couple of sprays goes a long way. A holy grail.

The people who don’t smell any tea in this must have a broken nose. It is very TeA forward for me. I even get the fig more as a fig leaf. I smell tea more than the osmanthus or the orange. Love this fresh and easy to wear scent. 8.5/10

the most refreshing scent i've ever smelt, it's like if you were stranded in a desert and finally stumbled upon a spring. i think this could be a unisex fragrance, since the florals don't lean super feminine in my opinion. 9.5/10

Osmanthus yes!! The scent has the milky fig note that makes it creamy and airy at the same time. The osmanthus makes it more floral than a direct tea scent but it is absolutely stunning. Bought it on the first try

What a gourgeous smell!! It's so perfect from the top to the Base, nothing annoying, very relaxing,high quality ingredients, the perfumence is mid and getting close to the skin quickly, must try for the summer..

Not too keen on the opening, which smells divine, but like a divine orange oil, not like a perfume. But then it dries down to a sumptuous orangery, jasminey, creamy amber. Lovely! 0 fig, 0 tea BTW.

I bought a sample of itand I love it! Lovely fig and tea distinct and easy to wear. From first application to dry down and beyond it is a keeper and candidate for a full bottle.

The trees are beautiful lively green, the birds are chirping. The early start of a day. A saturday morning that starts with a book and a nice cup of cold orange-fig tea. It doesnt upset you. It doesn't sting your nose. It's just accompany you in the background, walking silently behind you. It makes you feel as you are not completely alone. It eases your anxiety and puts you in the right frame of mind. It keeps you company just as long as you need it then leaves you alone. You are ready for your day. You miss it when you feel the sun on your skin. You meet in the next morning again. Who i recommend it to?: Someone who's got a lot of anxiety and stress. Who has a mind full of worry and heavy thoughts and wants to be free from them for just a few hours even. Someone who is introverted, quiet, prefers the company of books and silent, kind people instead of a loud crowd. Someone who has a baby - the scent is light and peaceful and going away fast. A therapist. In or Out?: Both. Strength?: It is not srong. It doesn't have to be. It's giving you all of it's strenght evenly and passes away peacefully. What size i purchased it?: 30 ML Would i rebuy it?: No. If it would be cheaper and last a few hours longer i would. It is a beautiful, self-confident scent that is the best company you can have, but it goes away too soon. Someone who's got a great deal of social anxiety, it sweeps away your bad and worrying thoughts for a few hours. Allows you to breathe her in evenly, it is not an ever changing roller coaster. It is a peaceful park that is gonna be there everytime you choose to visit her. But you have to part ways and you gonna feel it as too early.

As everyone has already said, Fig Tea is a misnomer. It is not a fig scent (although there is tea here) - instead, it is an airy, fresh take on osmanthus. I have tired of fig scents, and I didn't want to smell another variation on Philosykos, so FT's misleading name is not an issue for me. It is a fresh, lightweight floral-fruity with some fruity sweetness up top, balanced by a bitter herbal undertone. It can be described as an olfactory watercolour - sheer and subtle - and is a good-quality scent that makes for an easy reach in warm weather. FT opens with sheer, peachy osmanthus, with some sweet orange adding juiciness up top. The herbal undertone follows closely, green and fresh, with a subtle yet distinctive tea note that comes to the fore as this scent develops. It becomes softly powdery after a little while, with clean jasmine adding body while remaining subtle. I love to drink jasmine-infused green tea, and this is what comes to mind here, thanks to the mate and jasmine accord. I get some peppery coriander too, adding an aromatic edge to the herbal notes. It becomes increasingly dry, fading to a soft woody, musky skin scent. Sillage is intimate and longevity is weak. It is a unisex spring/summer daytime scent. A pleasant, slightly unusual fresh scent, FT is let down for me only by its limited performance. Petition for Fig Tea Intense, please! 3/5.

The fig in this perfume is an interpretation, according to Nicolai Parfumeur. It's a scent designed to remind us of figs while emanating from other sources; an olfactory riddle we are invited to puzzle over, nose twitching in the perfume's breeze. For me, Osmanthus is central. It radiates a plush, suede fruitiness initially infused with a juicy orange mist which morphs into a pungent tea. All of this is lit up by a green rush of Coriander with a peppery quality which twines through the Osmanthus til the perfume evaporates. There is an almost rubber-boots indolic note from the jasmine, but it isn't floral and that rubbery quality is interesting and adds some character. In the heart I detect an aquatic note which reminds me of fragrant steam rising from tea, as if the perfumer is playing perfumery charades. Masterful! It's quite original and fresh, almost zesty, but it's the most fleeting of all the Nicolai perfumes I've worn. Given the steamy tea notes, it's understandably thin. I am wearing it on my right hand while the tail-end of Cuir Cuba is on my left. It's bad manners to combine, I know, but it creates a rich, deep fusion of tobacco leaf, honeyed pepper, tea and osmanthus I'll be wearing again. When I first tried ‘Fig Tea’ I thought it was very clean, almost too clean. Like a harsh cleaning detergent, with something chemical and alcoholic to it. I clicked the OK, button and didn’t really care to try it again. This was on a cold January day, and maybe I was a bit out of it. Fortunately, I tried it again during a warm July day, and my whole view of this perfume changed. The osmanthus is sweet and soft and mellow together with the jasmine. Initially the orange is very soapy, but it soon dries down to a fresh floral scent. In the warmth is melts beautifully onto my skin, and the tea appears. A light green tea that is slightly herbal. Still, as many have commented this is not a typical tea scent. But for what it is it is really beautiful as an innocent and calming one. I wonder if this green tea is what is supposed to mimic a kind of fig? Nevertheless, I don’t really get any fig vibes from this, the name is just misleading imho. I think the price point of this is really good, and something to consider for the spring and summer months is you want something clean and inoffensive, that still is a little stand-out-ish. It is giving ‘picnic in the park’ vibes, and I love that.

Fig tea transfers you to a different dimension. One second I was standing in the Parfums de Nikolai little boutique, the next thing I know I am having a pick nick under a tree, sipping a cup of delicious, aromatic, fruity tea. I have fallen in love with it at the first sniff, although fresh fragrances are generally not my cup of tea (no pun intended). Fig Tea is fresh and bright and very crisp. An optimistic blend of tea notes and sweet fruit, juicy, with a touch of what to me is orange and cinnamon aroma, and the green fig leaves. It does not evolve much, but maintains this tea-fruity air the whole time. Ehmmm, the whole time, which is about 30 minutes. This is when I have to complain. Fig tea is an Eau Fraiche. I am not sure about the concentration, but the longevity of the scent is almost non existent. Half a hour later, you can smell nothing, nothing at all, even the faintest hint of the fragrance on your skin. It evaporates quickly, so I suppose this is when you need a big bottle, just to reapply it every half an hour.

Someone who is crazy for Osmanthus Yunnan by Hermes is very likely to love this one, and vice versa. The same spirit but distinct smells. Me? Neither! Though Fig Tea smells better (less synthetic) than Osmanthus Yunnan by a small margin, especially when you smell them from a distance. I have not yet found any realistic osmanthus note in the western perfumery that literally captures the authentic rich heady smell of osmanthus in a late September morning with a little cold when I was in high school in the Southern China. I miss that scent but I cannot bear poor simulation solution to it. A bunch of cheap toy fragrances charging with five bucks, say a Chinese brand Golden Ballet (金芭蕾), are more capable of expressing the osmanthus note than most high-end perfumes. Please don't try to use terms like aesthetic reframing methodology to cover the inferior. Now, I just hope the industry devises an extraction technique for osmanthus to replace the simulation someday.

FIG TEA smells to me more like a very refreshing and light apricot tea, thanks to the strong osmanthus presence. What about the fig? It is there but very light and fresh. It is not green like other fig fragrances that seem to capture the whole fig plant but it is not overripe either. It is just perfectly fresh and very light. It is definitely refreshing enough to quench my thirst on a hot summer day. The scent opens with very lovely and refreshing notes of apricot-like sweetness mixed with the tea notes. Then for a brief time, there is something green, herbal and fresh emerges. But this stage does not last for a long time. The scent transforms again into a lovely, refreshing and light apricot tea. It remains linear in this stage for a while. Finally it becomes more and more subdued turning into close to the skin and extremely light scent. This was an interesting fig scent to try. I love tea notes and this one turns lovely on me. My overall rating is 7/10.

You would never expect this from a perfume called "fig tea" but...this smells EXACTLY like the Herbal Essence shampoos from the early 2000's, or like Garnier Fructise shampoo. It smells like that extra fruity, fresh, sweet drugstore hair product that fills the room when you take your hair out of a bun. It's amazing. Over time it eventually smells more like you'd expect. I get more fig and tea notes later on, but it take over an hour to get there and I'd say if you're looking for a tru fig perfume, this isn't it. Out of 5 stars I'd give it a 3.5 just because of the lack of accuracy in its description. It's a very pretty perfume though. It's so good for spring/summer and I've gotten a ton of compliments. This would be perfect for someone who's looking to get into a fig perfume but not go too extreme. Fig is an acquired smell that not everyone likes, so this is a good beginner fig perfume.

You're at an old school mall that still has a fountain and a bunch of indoor plants. You're walking in between a hair salon and kiosk that sells smoothies and iced teas, while getting a little whiff of salty pretzels from further down the mall. There's something surprisingly aquatic here. While I definitely get the shampoo, the fruity hair smell, it's sharing the stage with something green. Tea is very subtle. Strength is just right. The salt bit might just be my chemistry as it takes a while to come out. I'm getting a 90's vibe; in an atmospheric sense. I find La Casa Azul by DSH to be quite similar, albeit that one is more deliberately salty and more unisex. It also reminds me of Ralph, maybe a higher quality version. Could be a good summer scent for someone looking for something fun but not weird. I find this line quite reasonably priced for what it is.

Wow! This is a fascinating brew from Pat! Not really Fig nor is it tea but the feeling and spirit of tea definitely comes through, same with fig I mean it's an unconventional fig, it's no stemone bomb but I think the fig accord is carefully entwined with the peachy osmanthus note which I think dominates this perfume. It's fresh, fruity, exotic and floral. The opening is like a big, cheerful peach/orange hybrid, after the initial juice phase it becomes drier and chalkier. Yet again Nicolai puts that sour mossy quality to juxtapose all the pleasant, well behaved and sweet stuff, it's almost like bittersweet caramel, bisabolene or something when it's settled down. Also the tea effect gives a sparkly metallic quality. It dries down to a completely different vibe, a bit less playful, more grown up. It's good. If you like fruity, florals check it out.

From a sample vial: Wow, this is unspeakably sexy. It goes on smelling like the rich, ripe fig...even with the slight spiciness, floating in a hot cup of tea. Then it drys down and smells a little more like black tea, powder, and dried fig. Very refined but not prissy. Also I can see how this is both very feminine and very masculine. Unusual and not "perfumey" at all. I could just eat and drink myself when wearing this. Thumbs up for great staying power too--it's the only fig I've tried that lasts beyond two hours. From the bottle: Smells a lot less rich and complex than the sample I had. From the bottle I ordered, I only get figgy detergent. Maybe the bottle was old?

This is the fragrance I was looking for: perfect for days, I want to smell lovely, but without effort. Fig Tea is dry and nobly bitter, very nature-like. I love it. Yes, the scent is almost all about osmanthus, gently transitioning to jasmine. But the associations are similar with fig: I get its green, slightly lactonic aroma. The heart of the perfume is well-blanded in woody, gently leathery base. It doesn't make impression of dark maté or green jasmine tea, but definitely adds comfort and harmony. I admire the balance between incisive tones and the staid base. Fig Tea is remarkable. Unpretentious, but pleasant and tasteful. --- Weak projection, but solid longevity.

A beautiful tea fragrance. I can smell osmanthus, fig and tea. Osmanthus is the star! Very fresh, perfect for spring and summer. Versatile, fun, fruity, I really like it! A delicately fruity tea. Same vibe of Inlé by Memo, more for woman and all ages to my opinion. Inoffensive and linear, compatible with office. 8/10, I will wear it with pleasure when I want an "osmanthus style" or a tea scent! In this brand, for spring and summer, Rose Pivoine (rose, pivoine, sandalwood) > Fig Tea (osmanthus, fig, tea) = Eau Mixte (citrus, mint, blackcurrants, vetiver) = Eau de Yuzu (yuzu, grapefruit, wood) > Cap Neroli (neroli, petit grain, oakmoss).

Watery, ephemeral, a watercolour painting. The name is misleading, this is an osmanthus dessert with a hint of a dry bitter tea in the background. Quite evocative of a Hangzhou garden, sipping longjing during the osmanthus bloom in October. There's also a quality to it that evokes the moist air of the sky after rain. My only critique is just how pleasant it is - there are no surprises or discord that would makes a perfume truly memorable, and it's ephemeral nature means it fades quickly after a couple of hours. It's a comforting choice, but rather safe than inspiring.

Of all the fragrances I have sampled, this one is the best "office scent" I have encountered for women. It's light, feminine, very slightly fruity without being immature, and herbal. It is very pleasant. I don't love it, but I like it a lot. It strikes me as something so likable its impossible anyone could find it offensive, which is why I think it's perfect for the office. Lucky for me, I work from home. So I don't need an office scent. But I am traveling for work occasionally, and this is the sample I will take with me to wear to the office. It's just NICE.

This is such a pretty, light fragrance. It was conjuring up mystical faerie imagery for me 🧚 Top notes: Light, dry, airy and sparkling, with a hint of bitter citrus and something creamier but green, like green figs ripening on a tree. On the dry down I got more and more florals popping through, that jasmine really starting to lead the way, with some jammy notes like a pear jam, and fruit skins, perhaps apricot. Dries down to a lovely sensual combination of amber and wood, with just enough bitterness to keep it fresh and lively.

This should honestly be called osmanthus leaf because it's the main player followed faintly by mate 🌿 A very fresh, clean and delicate scent, almost like I'm smelling morning dew. I pick up a little bit of white woods in the base. If you're buying this because it has fig in the name you're going to be disappointed, it's hardly present. But if you're looking for an ultra fresh and safe osmanthus fragrance for the high heat, go may dig it. ----------------------------------------------------------- Scent 6/10 Performance TBD

This fragrance doesn’t project well, and doesn’t last, but it smells good, and is an everyday scent. To me it smells like fanta exotic, I can’t smell the fig note in here, and I don’t smell tea either, unless the tea is very sugary. It doesn’t smell herbal, so if you are looking for a herbal tea this is not, this is sweet and fruity. This is a linear fragrance, it doesn’t get better or worst during the day. And I can smell orange oil in it too. And for 30 ml is not expensive at all.

Fig Tea is not a fig scent, but a mild and delicate flower scent. Almost no projection, even just after the application I have to press my wrist to the nose to smell something. It's a pity though, for after initial disappointment of not finding any figs in 'Fig Tea", I liked the gentle summer flowers. But really, more fleeting scent I have never even encountered. 10 minutes is ridiculous. I wouldn't be buying a bottle, it'll be finished in a couple of days.

Fig Tea is a playful deception, a fragrance that promises figs but never offers one. Instead, it greets you with a jammy sweetness of oranges. It settles into an apricot preserve spread onto warm brioche beneath flowering trellises. After you pass through the orchard, you are met with a cup of rich black earl grey tea. It is happiness captured, bottled, and worn. A fragrance that turns an ordinary day into a garden tea party.

The sharp/bitter artemisia hits first, followed by the sweetness of osmanthus, although neither the sharpness nor the sweetness is particularly overpowering. For me, this scent has an opening, clearing quality--like rays of sunshine in the morning. Amber and guiac wood emerge after the dry drown, grounding you after you have been opened. This seems like an excellent scent to wear during meditation and prayer.

It’s lovely. It’s fresh and fruity and aromatic but a little bit boring. If you like fresh aromatic and not overly sweet fig perfumes you would love it, but if you’re looking for something special then you won’t find it here. It’s a really good beginner perfume for someone who is getting into fragrances and wants to start with the basics. Really good performance and price for what you get.
