Vanille Tonka

EDITED TO ADD: I re-read all the reviews for this perfume because with each passing day, I love it more and more. Earlier on in 2022 @clairdelune described this fragrance perfectly; during the dry-down, the fragrance DOES smell like Comme des Garcons "Incense Avignon," or Heeley "Cardinal." Absolutely! The dry down DOES smell like a Byzantine Church filling with smoky incense. Originally, this is such a pleasant surprise. I blind-bought a full 100ml bottle because I love this house, Nicaolia Parfumeur Createur. I adore their unique niche compositions! I owned and wore Saint Honore for quite some time but decided I needed a change. I've owned other creations by Nicolai. After a recent few blind purchase "fails" with this house, someone suggested I try "Vanille Tonka." So I did! Vanille Tonka is not at all what I expected. With carnation and orange flower among its ingredients, I feared Vanille Tonka might be a cloying flower-bomb. But it is not! And after some wear, I'm really liking this fragrance. And my husband (oddly) LOVES Vanille Tonka on me, which is always a huge plus! My husband said, "That perfume is sooooo nice...it's EXOTIC!" Typical for Nicolai, there's citrus in the opening (lemon, orange). But Vanille Tonka also has BASIL. Basil gives the opening a VERY unique, green, vegetal, organic feeling. But despite feeling vegetal and organic, the opening is not dirty, or ground like. Within 10-15 minutes, there are gentle florals, which never over-take, or overpower the opening. As my experience with ALL Nicolai Parfumeur fragrances, the mid-notes rise and SEAMLESSLY blend with the opening notes! After a bit of time, vanilla notes emerge, along with tonka. The tonka notes are COUMARIN DENSE and a bit smoky, which I love. The coumarin lends to a slightly bitter, dry, hay-like experience. The base notes seamlessly blend with all the other notes. With time, the perfume morphs into an ephemeral, ethereal, gentle, slightly sweet, smoky, mildly floral, dry, spicy, vanilla-tonka perfume blend. This perfume is so unique. It's unlike ANY perfume I currently wear, or own. It's actually unlike ANY perfume I've EVER owned, really! The landing is glorious. Cannot stop sniffing my wrists and forearms! I. Absolutely. Love. This. Perfume.

How woud hell smell a like? And not a torturing, sad and so on negative site, but flame throwing hot place with naked people having shamelessy fun? I woud say Vanille-Tonka. My holy grail, my absolute favourite, best of the best...You get the point. I love Parfum de Nicolai Sacrebleu, and thought this is it, perfume coudn't get any better and then I did find Vanille-Tonka. I don't even like vanilla and that's why I almost did pass testing V-T, cause I'm not intrested of most of the sickening sweet vanilla perfumes. And there isn't any of sugary, cupcakes style sweetnes here for sure. V-T is like a high charce turboversion of Sacrebleu, more intense, much more hotter,much, much, more spice. Lot's of nose burning pepper, dark brown cinnamon (V-T is also my favourite cinnamon scent) and incense. I do not get any sweet vanilla, only some sort of soft base under this spicy beast. V-T feels like a living thing when you put it on, it breaths and roars. And because all of this, it only suits night, darkness and time when you are feeling dangerous. Enjoy.

Bottle arrived today 🤤 So many complicated and unjustly negative reviews. I have many vanilla scents - with Twisted Lily’s sad demise I ordered this as a why not... Super straight forward and gorgeous natural vanilla with tonka that creeps forward after an hour or two. The opening is blessed with a super acidic orange just like when you squeeze or bend a bit of peel or bite into an piece and it squirts. After this fades (15 minutes or so) the scent becomes slightly dusty and a tad of incense helps darken it just enough but it is by no means the major player in the make up. Lovely buy, completely unisex, up there with my faves like Atelier Cologne Vanille Inscensee and Vanilla Shot by Olfactive Studio. I disagree with the note vote for the percentage of Incense as it is much softer and more complimentary. All the other notes are there though again very much mixed in and complimentary. Again, straight forward and if you want simple gourmand vanilla that works on a guy give this a go... very happy.

Vanille Tonka is a near-perfect creation by Parfums de Nicolai. This niche company is run by Patricia Nicolai, granddaughter of Pierre Guerlain. As common among niche perfumeries, they focus on distinctive scents that pay little attention to pop trends or marketable bottles (I have the smaller size, which comes in a plain square bottle like the ones you can buy retail on-line for a dime a dozen). This offering is close to a sweet gourmand, especially in the tonka-vanilla base for which it is named. The top starts with a delicious creamy-sweet orange peel note, underpinned by pepper and the ever-present tonka-vanilla. As the citrus top note fades, the scent becomes subtly spicy, more with carnation than with cinnamon. Finally the delectable base remains and goes on forever. I suppose it is mostly a touch of incense that makes the base great - it certainly isn't just vanilla and tonka, though they dominate. A thing of beauty.

The most comfortable, lightweight tonka/vanilla scent in existence, like crisp white sheets in a hotel room in Florida cooled by a summer breeze. There’s a warm-spicy incense thread winding through it, which only accentuates the soothing white-on-white main chord. Similar vibe to Heure Exquise (creamy white minimalist luxury like lotions and sheets in a fine hotel) but Heure Exquise’s vanilla-iris is far sweeter and heavier while Vanille Tonka is fairly dry and whisper-light. Linen, rather than satin. Several hours later it lands in a warmer, sweeter cinnamon-spiced place, though still pleasantly understated. A “simple pleasure” whose construction is probably anything but simple. All hail Patricia de Nicolai, mistress of understated, impeccably crafted delights.

Nicolai is currently one of my favorite perfume houses. I like all their creations, even those that I wouldn't choose for myself and there are some that I love. Vanille Tonka is a love for me. Works every day and in any occasion. It's far from linear, very fresh in the cold, more ambery when inside, sweeter when my skin gets warm, sometimes the flowers are shining, other times the spices, the incense never hides, mixed with a woody, slightly animalic vanilla. Lasts all day, others can always smell it, even when it eludes me. Totally unisex, both women and men ask me what perfume I wear, liking it for themselfs. So very beautiful

This one had to “grow” on me a bit. Ordered a sample and tried it several times. I LOVE that it is not a vanilla with a ton of fruity or bakery notes. Just a clean, dry “adult vanilla” with herbaceous and pepper notes, very unisex. It has a very sophisticated scent profile and is well compounded. Great for colder months, but honestly this one can be worn all year. It is more of a skin scent, with very low projection. Going to take the plunge and purchase a bottle and also a discovery set! Also love the quality and history of this niche house.

Gorgeous vanilla scent - don’t be misled - it’s unisex with a slight lean on feminine. Blind buy - lovely fresh citrus burst rapidly disappears leaving a slightly darkened natural vanilla thanks to a tad incense and a teeny bit of dusty cinnamon. After an hour the creamy tonka backs up the vanilla quite heavily with the other notes backing it up and rounding it off. Nose to skin there is a slightly tart orange rind helping keep it gourmand and fresh softening and polishing the cinnamon and incense. Gorgeous - have to buy a big bottle now!

Warm, resinous vanilla with a green, ashy tobacco leaf and touch of smoke. The light dusting of spices give it a slightly powdery feel, while the citruses and frankincense add a faint fruity nuance. Cozy, comforting amber scent. Consistent moderate projection for 2-3hr, longevity 8-10. Tobacco Vanille wishes it was this and not the cloying sweet mess it is to my nose. Reminds me of Royal Crown Sultan, warm and comforting with just the right amount of accents, but this is more powdery and has green instead of woody undertones.

Handsome, spicy and sweet in equal measure. The cinnamon-orange-vanilla chord from her old Vanille Intense is here, but it's made more edgy by a dose of green basil and black pepper up front and a big carnation note in the heart that lasts through the drydown. It's a nice combination, quite unisex, and the perfume itself is pretty strong, almost more like an extrait than an EDP.

Gorgeous vanilla scent. Not vanilla you would expect. It is a dry, a little bitter vanilla with the light smokiness of incense and a little sweetness from tonka. Develops fast and then lingers around for the whole day to warm you up. It is perfectly unisex. Love it!

Much more interesting than its name suggests. Spicy and citrussy vanilla. Tasteful, not too sweet and the variety of notes remain prominent into the drydown. Deserves more attention!

The thing about PdN to me is that all her perfumes smell somehow obvious: But of course this is beautiful, did nobody really think of this before? Nobody did, and the scent is new and unique but not surprising, just pretty. Right now I'm wearing Vanille Tonka for the first time, and I like it very much but I don't love it. Why? Maybe because it doesn't ask anything of me. It changes nicely on my skin, all different phases of the perfume are beautiful but it never shakes me to the core. I'm a SL fan, mostly because the scents from that house make me laugh, they shock me and surprise me and never fade to the background. Even the most polite SL seems like a drunk anarchist next to Vanille Tonka and the other PdN-scents I have. And I guess I prefer the anarchist.

I went to a perfume shop to explore this one. The SA sprayed on the paper strips, and I was like 'ooooh', nice citrusy vibe, along the lines of a lemon cheesecake. I almost bought it, however, I reminded myself that perfumes can massively change on the skin, so I only took a sample of it. And man, I was right to do so. On my skin, it turned out entirely different: I did not get the lifting effect of the citruses, but more of the aromatics, perhaps the basil note, and lots of it and then some carnation (which I'm not a big fan of). Long story short, on paper strip, it smells like a modern take on tonka, vanilla and citruses, while on my skin it smells like a heavy, dusty vintage, and is rather sweet. You might get lucky though.

Pleasantly surprised. I’ve tried many Nicolai perfumes and this is the first one I would like to wear again. This is a vanilla scent but it has unusual development—sometimes I pick up orange citrus notes, other times it’s incense and sometimes it’s cinnamon. But vanilla is the note that’s holding this all together. This is not a sweet, cake batter vanilla. To my nose it’s sophisticated and would seem best in colder weather. I know better than to trust my experience with a vial as I can only splash it on my skin. I want to try a spray. This review is TBC. Edit: im looking for a used 30ml. Message me if you have one and you’re letting it go.

Another fascinating creation from Parfums de Nicolaii. Ever-mutating, just like Vanilla Intense. Vanille Tonka smells like a soft orange at first. The vanilla becomes stronger over time. It's a very true vanilla, not overly creamy nor too sweet. After wearing it for a few hours, I was excited to smell some masculine qualities like pepper, green basil, and a spicy carnation. But they never overwhelmed the vanilla, so this is definitely a vanilla perfume. It's really easy to wear for men and women--really, really lovely!

I like Nicolai fragrances, they are not simple and linear. On my dry, cold skin, vanilla did not sound at all at first. The aroma at first was how be "prickly" . Incense and black pepper with citrus notes. Then this witticism dragged on smoke. Vanilla is beautiful, soft and slightly bitter with the sweetness of Tonka beans, it appeared on me after 4 hours! The scent is very strong and beautiful. I would like to hear it on a man ... Unfortunately, my significant other does not use perfumery)

I have no idea why this one was targeted for women; it's 100% unisex, imo. I usually despite Carnations, but it's extremely well blended here. The overall scent profile for me is a powdery, light amber, with a floral touch, and some incense. No sickening sweet, desert-y vanilla here. IDK why, but it feel a bit "Baroque"; probably because it's got that "old money" vibe. Very nice!

Frankincense seems the most prominent note to me, alongside a lemony-cinnamon vibe. There is something faintly creamy underneath, but Vanille Tonka is a misnomer. Although not really alike, if you delight in Byredo's Gypsy Water you might like this too. Note: extra points to this house for selling 30 ml bottles.

Warm, spicy-fresh aromatic with a cosy atmosphere of vanilla-infused incense. Warming and lovely, but doesn't develop or thrill. A rainy day pleasure. Distillation: spice-infused lemon with a shot of cinnamon in a cloud of warmth

This has a nice, warm, spicy start, with clear carnations (and I guess basil, although that's not what I would have pegged). Something earthy and dark. Unfortunately, after half an hour, all I smell is incense and dust. I smell like a cool used bookstore. I think some of the more interesting and rich notes are lost on my skin, and I get very little tonka and essentially no vanilla in the drydown. I'm afraid I have to leave this one for others with luckier chemistry.

Not enjoying the incense and black pepper. Ends up sort of powdery.

I started a thread asking for recommendations regarding perfumes that smell more or less like salmiac (ammonium chloride) and/or salt liquorice a while ago, and this one was suggested to me by a fellow Finnish member who said it reminded her of Kvilla, a children's cough medicine we have in Finland that uses salmiac as a mild expectorant. Having recently procured it through the handsome Deefit, I figured I would give my impressions of it. This perfume certainly packs a punch. Positively fries your nose hairs if you get too close. Certainly unisex, there is nothing frilly and girly about it. In the opening, I get absolutely no sweetness, it's all lemon, basil, pepper and incense on me. As it dries and warms up I get some vanilla and tonka peeking through, but not enough to get me hooked. Despite being so spicy, I don't find it warm - on the contrary, it is a profoundly cold. The discrepancy is interesting. So what about the supposed likeness to the yummy pitch black salmiac concoction that is Kvilla? I see it, but it's not literal, and it would most likely not have come to mind had it not been suggested to me. For the lovers of salmiac (Dutch: zoute drop), there is a perfume that hits the nail on the head: Hilde Soliani Saaliiisssiimo. Straight up salmiac. You're welcome.

This is very different to what i imagined it to be :) it is so light hearted and sweat. like a cheewy fudgefor kids. it reminds me off candy and sodapops the vanilla and tonka is to sweat in this . all i can smell is vanilla lemon , tonka and Mint . i am shure it is Basil as listed , but to me its very minty. very strange , on my skin there isent any floral notes at all. just sweats. this is on my skin almost like a childs fragranse :) wow , so strange the power off skin cemestry;) he he

For me, the basil is too over-powering; it smells on the top of everything else and ruins the entire fragrance for me. The scent is very natural and performance is excellent, but it takes at least 6 hours for it to become tolerable without the strong basil. That's too long, so it's a pass.

I thought I would love this perfume but I don't. First I could smell a wonderful smell of citrus and then a weird bitter smell that doesn't change at all, no vanilla no tonka.

This is a little bit of complex for me. Lots of black pepper & vanille with a hint of basil and a lot of sweetness. But it is simple enough to say, no.

I went to my mom and asked her to smell the perfume, she asked me if I’ve bought a new lemon toilet spray, you heard me, TOILET SPRAY. And it’s exactly that. Happy for me it was only a free sample. Like it’s literally called vanilla?? What in the lemon citrusy spray.

Vanille Tonka (1oz, usd 35 barely used) First Impression It is strange carnation fragrance, a good one in perfume eyes. The carnation to be pre-dominant but it is - kind of Green Carnation and Vase Water. While, Sweet tonka in the background. It is also kind of incensy along with Carnation accord. Build on Amberine accord, sweet powdery vanilla / coumarin. That's why you would probably recall Sharlimar. But this one go red and carnation direction. This is classic powdery carnation type with powder end, the twist is green note. Scent feel full body. ----- Full Review on April 17, 2025 After I tried a full wear, I feel like writing a full review of this fragrance. Perhaps, anyone looking for carnation scent. I think this is the oldest, dustiest Carnation possible I have sniff. There was 2 ways of carnation as far as I sniff. The one that replica the real floral, very few - ETRO Dianthus and Oeillet Sauvage by L'Artisan Parfumeur, the later is my ride or die a scent from carnation. The second is what I call "Perfumer's Carnation" The one that becomes that make from Powdery end, Soft Leather, Clove and Geranium. It can be either part of fragrance (Chanel : 1932 EDT, L'Heure Bleue or HdP Mata Hari) . . I find Vanille Tonka takes Perfumer's Carnation to the extreme. By most incense, unsweeten tonka powdery amber. Carnation with Leaf and Vase water. After Initial blast of Green Mandarin. The fragrance doesn't Hesitate to show it true nature, Clove - Rose - Geranium. Starts forming an Carnation accord. At as same time, Incense Tonka sneak in. At this very moment, it is a wild ride. Tight and War. I don't really know how to reassurance my feeling. As The base and Top flight neck to neck. I think, this one fragrance that very base heavy from the get go. As the top starts to let go, the basil become part of carnation. The Wild, Herbaceous smell become a left. Acceptable. But still somewhat. Kind of - unfamiliar. After Carnation co-existed with (slightly) sweeten powdery amber base. It becomes the show for Vanille and Tonka. In Very VERY classic Amberine. Shalimar manner. But with a ton of Incense, smell smoky. After all that, Carnation let loose become the backgorund. Left a slight dark powdery touch on your skin. .... I.. at this moment, find this challenging. No, not the way of modern fragrance. But how note arrange but somewhat it is a unique ride. In the way that I want to ride this again a few time. Ah.. what shall I say more, I find the name is really miss leading. Even perfumer itself classifed this as Spicy-Amber-Floral. But it might be a point. The name might not really suggest anything. I can't truly say is this a good ride or bade ride. But I think, this really worth. Experience.

This smells amazing on my skin. This is a spicy vanilla that drys down into something bordering on gourmande. But keep in mind, this is a very oldschool perfume. If you're looking for something like Hypnotic Poison - you won't find it in this. I am a vanilla lover and this is definitely a vanilla scent I have not encountered before. Some people may not like that it is not the typical sweet vanilla but that is what makes it special. The opening notes, on my skin, gave the impression of a strong black liquorice/cinnamon mixture which was fleeting but at first ever present. It moved into a spicy and sweet vanilla tempered by the citrus and pepper oil. Again, it is a heavy kind of vanilla...not a sweet, coquetish vanilla. This is a vanilla that exudes maturity. Sillage is moderate but I feel as though I need a few sprays which is upsetting for the price...quite dissapointing in that regard. It can be comforting but also a little bit sensual like a weekend lover you've made a habit out of. There is something ever so slightly unisex about this vanilla...indeed, as if your boyfriend's basil, lemon cologne mixed with your vanilla, cinnamon perfume. In the finale of the drydown it's all vanilla but this is after 6 hours or so. Today I went to a department store to toy around with the celebrity and pop fragrances. After having done that for a while, I have to say I was sickened by the all of the sweetness. I came home and washed off the obnoxious frags and put on Vanille Tonka and was heartened that it was sweet in an understated, mature way. It made me feel much better after my sweet perfume overload. Edit: As much as this one can be rather nice, I am considering giving it to my mother. I think this is a scent that she would like. Initially I was enamored and still find it lovely. For me, I'm finding it has too much citrus and pepper...I like my warm spicy scents to have a sweet side. There isn't enough breadth to this...I want something richer with more development. This seems one dimensional. I did end up giving this to my mum for Christmas and she loves it. It better suits her skin and reminds her of a perfume she used to be mad about some years ago. I'm happy.

I love Sacrebleu, and oh my holy blue I love this as well. I don't always want my fragrance to punch me in the gut: this fragrance isn't wrenching but very lovely and interesting. I didn't read the notes before testing, so the opening notes are accurate as I could get. There is a very light citrus with a cinnamon/carnation note mixed with a licorice sarsparilla. Then I get a spiciness of cinnamon and perhaps a touch of pepper and incense. I think it's the basil that I'm thinking of as licorice, which if you crush very fresh basil you can understand my guess at licorice and sarsparilla. In the middle I get cinnamon, spice, incense and the vanilla. At this point I went to add more, and dropped my sample on the carpet. AAAAAAAAAAHHHHHH!! Yup, I was trying to rub my wrists on the carpet to pick up the remaining drops of my precious juice. Okay, I get it. I am fated to buy more of this and the Sacrebleu. I may become a Parfums de Nicloai junkie. If so, what sweet servitude! Her scents are enticing, and kind (yes, I mean it) while also being lighthearted and fulfilling in a gentle way. Other perfumistas will understand my use of such superlatives. I get this feeling from the few Guerlains I've tried, so apparently talent is inherited. Mon Dieu!

As I continue my quest for the 'ultimate vanilla,' next in line of my vial samples was Nicolai Vanille Tonka. I was pleasantly surprised by it because it was more complex and layered than others I had tried recently. The day before I had tested Van Cleef and Arpel's Vanille Insensee, which to me was a nice but very linear and simple (bordering on juvenile) vanilla/milk chocolate combo. While testing Vanille Tonka all day yesterday, I kept racking my brain, trying to remember what it reminded me of. Finally, late last night it came to me -- I think it reminds me of the original formulation of Parfum Sacre. They both share some spices in common and also have that ethereal incense/cathedral vibe. It also reminded me a bit of Commes des Garcon's Avignon. While VT was more complex in terms of its notes, it didn't evolve much if at all. It did have excellent staying power though - even after washing my arm after going to the gym, I could still pick it up. Not huge projection but that would be overwhelming for this kind of scent so that's a good thing imho. Due to the pepper, basil and tobacco notes, I found this to be quite unisex.

First and foremost, this is not a vanilla scent for me. That note is unfortunately suppressed by more aggressive and dry notes in every phase of the fragrance. Starts off with lemon and black pepper, sharp and sour. Followed by spicy and slightly floral mid notes. Cinnamon effectively sucks up other notes and you get some sweetness from florals. The base notes start to show themselves and I liked the carnation-tonka smell trying to reach me from the disturbing cinnamon-floral clash. There is considerable soapy barbershop feel right from the start. You remember the fragrances of 80s and 90s. Elements from grandfather's fragrances. Dusty old and aged feel. After 2 hours, base notes clearly show themselves and I understand that pepper-cinnamon-vanille is not a favorable route of succession for me. You need to like cinnamon note and a spicy, dry and ashy vanilla, almost a sweeter tobacco, to enjoy this fragrance. I would call this cinnamon tonka or spicy tonka rather than vanilla.

J8This is a lovely, dark and spicy vanilla- my favorite kind. Not the light and fluffy variety. The citrus top note seems to my nose all effervescent lemon, bright and fleeting. The carnation is nice and spicy but not overwhelming. The tonka and vanilla are the most prominent notes, and linger all day. The whole is a great fall/winter scent. It's not overwhelming and too heavy however. It reminds me of Ava Luxe's Vamp, a similar feel to the base notes. It lasts pretty well on me, and has moderate sillage. It smells like a grown woman's vanilla, mature in a pleasant way. I would definitely recommend it if you like vanillas along the lines of Double Vanille Spiriteuse for example (though I find this one more wearable and less aggressive). Cozy and luxurious in feel, like a cashmere sweater.

This opens with a little woodiness and an anise-like basil. Others have noted orange here, but if there is citrus, it is a little whiff of lemon, and it fades fast. Next comes the sweetness. While this does not reach the currently popular sugar-bomb levels of sweetness, the sweetness is there never-the-less. The floral element here is softly spicy, and recognisably carnation. Beneath it all; beginning, middle and end, are the two companions, vanilla and tonka. They travel hand-in-hand, and underpin this pleasant gourmand from start to finish. A little spice, mild and mellow yet quite fundamental to the composition, accompanies them.

Mostly cinnamon, and basil with some incense. Pepper = yes Lemon = Yes Geranium = a bit Carnation = aha Orange = yes after 5 minutes Incense, cinammon, and basil = OF COURSE Tonka = nope Vanilla = no even detected yet (10 minutes in) I'm sure voting on vanilla & tonka was just because the name of the fragrance was saying so, but this fragrance almost everything BUT the vanilla and tonka. This proves that Nicolai aren't good with gourmand fragrances as i thought this fragrance would be a SPLASH of DELICIOUSNESS, but it turned to be bits of everything but deliciousness.

I love this, it starts out very lemony before the basil moves in and gives it a lovely licorice/aniseed smell. The next stage is the best part, nose-tickling pepper, orange blossom and spicy carnation (I didn't know I liked carnation until discovering PdN fragrances). The vanilla is in there but it is more in the background becoming more apparent as the fragrance wears on, but it is not a sweet overpowering vanilla, more of a lovely warm base for the rest of the fragrance to linger on.

This is a true gourmand, in the sense, that it smells like actual food. I'm always baffled, that people use the term "gourmand" only for scents, that are sweet and candy like. Do they only eat Mars bars? Anyways, Vanille Tonka smells like home made creme bruleé. You now, the variation with orange peel and a slight hint of spice. I wouldn't like to smell like it, that's why it's not for me, but it is nonetheless a very well crafted and very satisfactory perfume.

Very unique vanilla! There's a softly herbal undertone that took a long time for me to place. I know it's the basil and carnation however what it smells like to me is a posh Christmas candle. Almost piney and the cinnamon only adds to that Christmas vibe. Rich waxy aromatic tonka and vanilla. Also feels shalimar esque on the drydown - vintage, rich vanilla smoke and spice.

I get an opening note of ozone/printer’s ink and what smells like chocolate, and then it begins to dry as vetiver, frankincense and faint wood. Some licorice-y myrrh creeps in as it dries. Just not getting vanilla or tonka at all, really. It’s almost a plastic-y resin smell. Most of the listed notes are missing on me. Huh.

Very cinnamon heavy on me. Christmas time perfume. I like it, but I wear it rarely. You have to wait the christmas-phase to pass, the you will experience a unique spicy vanilla scent. I like it, but it’s not my signature scent.

This doesn’t smell like old money to me, it has classy notes but there’s no harmony or decorum. Smells like a rich woman who is tacky and rude to everyone.

Too smoky for me, and a little masculine. I had to wash it off. Vanille Exquise by Guital is more what I was looking for, a “kinder gentler” vanilla.

If anyone would like to switch this porfume with potchull Intense please pm me. I have full bottle without box. I can send picture .

-Opens smelling like your generic vanilla. -Dries down a tad bit weird and syrupy. -Tad too whimsical for my liking. (-)

refreshing vanilla that is not too sweet. good for summer evenings on a jitney back into town from a beachy weekend.
