I’m so totally transfixed by the beauty of this unique chypre fragrance. I never smelled Nicole Miller EDP until about 2 months ago. I was looking to expand my growing vintage aldehydic collection, and I blind bought my bottle of Nicole Miller from Amazon based on the notes and opinions of others only. I have to confess that the first couple of wear tests didn’t go so well. I was a bit surprised by its sweetness, which threw me off. We didn’t hit it off. Tonight while choosing my bedtime scent, I spotted her in the back corner of my perfume tray. Call it a guilt trip? I don’t know, but I put her nozzle to my nose and inhaled deeply. The fruits were so beautiful and I could literally envision honey drizzled all over them. The aroma was absolutely glorious! I had to spray the back of my hand and the aldehydes burst fully through the fruity notes giving them such beautiful intensity. The bodacious sweet rose came waltzing in on cue with the ever harsh red carnation and lackadaisical blue Iris. The whole scent profile bloomed like a carefully crafted ballet. Absolutely magical. This fragrance was created in the 90’s when aldehydes were being used much less in the creative process of perfumes but still had a heavy load of notes! I love the fact that my dear husband never complains when I overspray my aldehydic darlings. It will indeed be sweetest dreams for me tonight! Heavenly! Will definitely need to buy a backup bottle of this peachy-gold beauty as she’s getting harder to find! Don’t miss out!

I have been "on the fence" about this fragrance, it sounded great, but I couldn't find a tester and no one had reviewed it. While at the mall I found a tester at a perfume store and tried it. Even my husband, who isn't crazy about perfume liked it. It starts out like violets to me, though there are no violet notes listed, just like Jolie Madame. I don't know why I have been smelling violets lately. After a few minutes the beautiful floral heart comes out,rose,jasmine,and carnation sweetened by honey. It is warm, sensual, and luscious. After awhile you can smell the amber,sandalwood,and vanilla, still slightly sweetened by the honey. To me it smells a lot like Lancome's Poem, though not as strong. Nicole seems to last a good while as do most floral orientals, and has good silage. It is certainly too warm and sweet for hot weather,but perfect for fall/winter. It is also more of a perfume I will wear the the evening. It is perfect for a romantic or more formal occasion. I have been seeing it at discount stores lately for bargain prices as well as online. Since I am partial to floral orientals and the price is right I bought it. If you like Poem by Lancome and do not want to pay that much money,or if you like honey as a note, you should try Nicole Miller by Nicole Miller. It is one of those lost and under appreciated perfumes that are floating around out there, soft,warm and endearing.

Im love this one if im find it one more time im will buy it back faster then fast.In a Perfumestore not online choop. Its real perfume have it all im can wish.All notes is perfekt mixed up in a sweet old lady type alike perfume. No soap here its delicate. Soft sweetness in the end after a long day exact like Nina Ricci L'Air du Temps and Givenchy Ange ou Demon sweetness after a long day, for exampel. Think ppl. around me think this one is too owerpowdwering but im not care.. It is something ower this sweet and soft not menny perfume end the day so perfekt intoo the night. It is special and menny would not like this one tray it before a buy. The bottle is beautiful. One of my missing one!

Wear it lightly, others will swoon. I bought this at Belk Dept store when it first came out in the 90's. Back then I didn't have too many from the "Dept Store", but I loved it, & I always got compliments on it. I bought it again a few yrs ago for 12.99 at TJMaxx. Still have it & it still smells the same. To make it more of a "2025" Perfume, just wear a bit, don't overdo it, or you will get weird looks, it's a powerhouse. I never really **KNEW** what it smelled like, or how to describe it, but now I see why. There's a bit of everything in this, but I do not have anything else in my collection that smells like this. She's pretty!

This was actually my JAM in 93. I loved it on & everyone around me loved the smell. I bought a bottle at TJ Maxx today, I don't think the formulation has changed a lot, but, it does smell like a cheap 90's perfume now. Have we evolved? Yes, we have. Are they using cheaper ingredients as well? Probably. I agree w/ the Mackie reference, that was never really my thing tho. Sharper & cheaper smelling. This was worth the 12.99 I spent. A trip down memory lane once in a while. In reference to the "barely there" reviews, One spray is a beast for days on me.

I’ve had my bottle for about 8 years; maybe have worn it twice. It’s kinda just stayed in my perfume drawer, left and forgotten. I pulled it out this morning, sprayed it on my wrist, and the first thing l thought of when l smelled is Tide Powder Detergent lol. It mellows down to a peachy, powdery smell that reminds me of Trésor. I’m going to wear it out today and see how it goes; it’s cold and rainy so hopefully it won’t be too potent lol.

This fragrance is sweeter than others I enjoy in summer but I just love it. Reminiscent of 80's perfume but I don't get brashness only the confidence of a well constructed perfume. Great staying power even in sultry weather. Goes on quite strong and sweet in the morning but wears beautifully throughout the day, settling into a warm, musky floral by the evening. A great find, thanks to Fragrantica reviewers.

Picked this up after reading the reviews. When I first sprayed it on I didn't like it but after only a few seconds it smelled really nice. Honey and flowers and then a powder and soft musk dry down. I really love this fragrance. Very feminine and unique. It's has a little chanel no 5 vibe to it but a little sweeter so, it's a pretty good substitute if you don't want to cough up the money for chanel.

thanks jillzilla for the sample.i thought this was classed as fruity.i can smellfresh,ripe juicy peaches,the refreshing fragrance of oranges,and a big round purple plum.a little later it morphs into a beautiful orchid,tuberose scent that remains a good long time.finally as my day winds down,i can almost tastethe vanilla which i love ,with just a gentle touch of amber and musk.a true joy to wear.

not the most beautiful perfume in my collection but the one of the only ones i actually crave like, i will get out of bed to put this on and i often put waaay too much on it has a saltiness that may be the product of strong honey note mixed with strong peach note it's also present in rare gold by avon i want to stock up on this one love it

First I need to restock. Love it, so does my mom! Shes able to tolerate even with allergies. I enjoy it when I wear. Leaves you very sweet and powdery. It has all the right blends of what I like and is timeless. Its for any age. This smells nothing like Nicole to me, I like this Nicole Miller the best.

NO SMELL at all. How hard i try i really smell nothing. So my bottle is expired or my nose isn't sensitive enough but this bottle ends in the bin. It's so non existent that i won't sell it either. Too pity because i love! The old fashioned power perfumes from the 80 and 90ties. 😞

It's a great perfume. It is in the same category as the sweet perfume Chloe Narcisse. Not that heavy, but they have a lot in common. Where some people might think Chloe Narcisse is really too much, this could be a good alternative.

I just love it, been using it since 1997 and its a fragrance you won't match with anything else. I like the way it "melts" and combines with my own chemistry. It's good to find it again :)

It's a wonderful, beautiful, glorious creation! So exquisitely feminine!

I was expecting more creamy smooth sweetness with some spice but there's nothing sweet at all. Its 48 farenheir so maybe this will work better in the hear. I smell the same things as burberry body in this. Its almost good but not quite. Ill try this and body again in warmer weather. It is truly identical to burberry body edp. So its been 80s and 90s fahrenheit. This performs even worse in the heat. Now its next to nothing detected. Just mosh up of old dusty faded notes that i can hardly smell. Its bad. I wish i was able to smell the original version. Something tells me that the perfume industry has found out that a certain way they made the old perfumes has caused cancers so thats why they absolutely had to reformulate the old power house perfumes and now nothing is made as good as it was made back in the day. So since no one has ever linked their disease to their perfume, they secretly changed formulas with no explanation to the public to avoid lawsuits. That is whats been whispering in the back of my mind for awhile now. I just went into my air conditioned part of the house and its 68 degrees farenheit. And now.... I get this softly sweet lightly soapy waft of peachy delightfulness! I did have to spray 3 times in the same spot and wait about 30 minutes but now im smelling the good stuff! There's a lil bit of honey to the sweet cloud and its pretty soap . the peach is light and not syrupy. This is actually really pretty ☺. Now that i found the sweet spot for this fragrance ill be wearing this when the weather permits.

This is a nice smelling fragrance. It reminds me of Sirene by Vicky Tiel. Even the lid on the bottle brings Sirene to mind. This is not a perfume I will grab that often, and I am the older lady mentioned by some reviewers ;-). I got a large bottle for a very good price so I cannot complain. I read one review that thought this one was similar to Coco by Chanel, not even close IMHO. Another thought it was close to Beautiful by Estee Lauder but nope, never going to come close to that one either. This is a unique fragrance to it's own self. Even though it reminds me of Sirene and a few other scents I have smelled, it is still in a class of it's own. I think I like this way better than Sirene, but not as much as Beautiful. It lasted about 4 to 5 hours on myself without totally disappearing. Not too bad for a less expensive scent. I think the bottle is just okay, with the bottom being it's best feature. The clouded lid takes away from the eye appeal of this little beauty. All in all, this is a useful, pleasant scent for a small amount of money. Too bad it is being discontinued. I think it would be best if they just revamped it's container and gave the scent an added boost of something to give it more lasting ability.

I remember the ads in magazines like Vogue and Vanity Fair back in the nineties, and I was always curious about it. The first thing that attracted me to it was the bottle. I though it looked pretty nice (now, not so much). I was lucky enough to stumble upon a couple of vintage bottles of this, and I decided I'd give it a try. I figured if I didn't like it, I could always use it as room freshener with no regrets (they were ridiculously cheap). Boy, was this a nice surprise! At first, it reminded me of Lancôme's Pôeme and a little bit of Fred Hayman's 273 (love them both). A gorgeous fragrance that is way above its price range. Its opening is a little loud and may turn some people away, but a few minutes later, this beauty comes to life. Warm, honeyed tuberose and ylang-ylang make this fragrance like sunshine on a winter day. This is a (high quality) rather complex floral with a fantastic ambery drydown. I am really very happy I decided to buy it. Needless to say, another successful blind-buy!

I received a sample from a generous fragrantica member. Thanks, Malegria. Oh my, this is the most beautiful soft scent. Opening is fresh, warm juicy peaches and plums (like they were just picked off the tree on a hot day)with aldehydes and green notes. Then it develops into a bouquet of warm spicy flowers (carnations, iris, roses) dipped in honey. There's nothing too sweet about this, though. It's fresh, juicy and a little spicy - a warm fresh, instead of a cool fresh. The sweet vanilla dry down lasts a long time - 4-5 hours. Intoxicating! ETA: I found Nicole Miller to be quite similar to Gucci Accenti, too. It has the same kind of blend of spices and florals and a warm sweet dry-down. I'm so glad I found a bottle of this at a good price...

Opening very, very sweet with lots of powdery peach. When other notes start to appear I'm disturbed by some plasticky and nail polish like smell, which appearad suddenly and is not going away as fast as I would like. When the syntethic/sharp hit disapears I'm left with powdery and a little bit bitter combo of honey and flowers, I can feel jasmin the most, but there are whifs of my loved tuberose. The honey note is weird, but likeable. For me it all appears to sweet and chaotic, but that's just me. What I want to add - this stuff is very powerful, apply with light hand or could easily induce terrible headache. I could suggest this to all those people who love sweet pile of flowers in their perfume.

If this perfume were a color, Nicole Miller would be dense golden yellow, like afternoon sun warming terracotta tiles. Gorgeous honeyed plum and tuberose with lots of aldehydes. Makes me think of Solara, Poeme, Animale Animale, Le Roy Soleil. All the big sunny stewed peach white florals (with a touch of chypre) of the early 90s. Redundant in my collection, but also really nice, even this most recent iteration I bought last year. It sat unloved for awhile, because we didn't hit it off on day one, and I'm so glad I gave it another chance. Reformulation may have changed its character (never smelled the old one), but Nicole Miller is still a classy frag for little money.

My 1st thought when I smelled this one was "Mackie!". I see that they only have a few notes in common so must be the early 90's "vibe" they share...the tail end of '80's bluster but with fruit juice added. I can't really single out the specific notes so seems well blended but with a slight plastic doll smell (similar to Red Door) after the 1st 10 minutes or so, which is thankfully short lived. The overall tone is powdery sweet peachy vanilla. I will happily wear it but spritz lightly as I think it could be a little overbearing if not careful.

Beautifully blended to where no one note overwhelms another Nicole Miller is pretty tuberose, jasmine, ylang-ylang, heliotrope and honey, juicy fruits and sweet flowers. Nicole Miller is very warm and elegant and definitely underrated, under appreciated and unknown and therefore unique and very special and worth its weight in gold. Yet its available very, very reasonably both on online retailers and at TJ Maxx and Marshall's. If you find some, treasure it - as they used to say, "they don't make them like this anymore". Really, really lovely!

On me this is a mixture of ET White Diamonds, Oscar, Bijan original and Lancome Poeme - though this is a much more wearable scent on me than poeme as it is nowhere near as sweet. This was a blind buy based on notes and it turned out to be an amazing purchase. Unfortunately one of the notes smells disjointed on me (think it's the tonka bean and corriander which don't combine well with my chemistry) and I have re-homed - nonetheless this is a beautiful fragrance. Classy and wearable for daytime but still has presence.

I had a sample of Nicole Miller in about 1995 and I was really enthralled with it but I was only 13 years old so I couldn't afford to buy perfume Willy nilly and didn't think to ask my parents. Anyway I just received a brand new 100 ml bottle of it and it's not like I remember. It's similar but it's not as complex. I thought it was wonderfully classy and unique in 1995 and now it just smells okay. Floral, peachy, effervescent. I do however like the way this perfume projects so I will be wearing it during the day.

Starts with a nice honey, green spice, and woodsy blend, then disappears from my skin and clothes. I'm not even sure what the drydown smells like because even thought I used 6 sprays, it was gone in 3 hours. It has a bit of 90s vibe, but is still very accessible to those who enjoy modern scents like fruity-florals. It does not resemble the sillage powerhouses of the 80s, so don't be afraid of that. It's a good everyday scent that isn't too youthful nor too mature. Is available cheap at Burlington.

Honey plums & peaches. It's a fruitti sweet floral blend with that peaches, honey, plums, tuberose, carnations, and sweet amber. It has slightly jasmines, and aldehydes. It has roses but lightened with doses of sandalwood. I liked this one, but i need to test it more to know wither if the sweetness is that balanced or cloying. nice. Edit (30 minutes in) The colder the softer it becomes with heliotrope, jasmines, soft tonka beans, and vanilla while the peaches, & plums are almost vanished.

Aldehydic and honey-forward peach and plums turn to powdery roses and carnations, turns to a lightly smoky tonka & amber base. Not obviously sweet, this leans more fuzzy and pollenated that I associate with 80s/90s floral chypre powerhouse scents. Love this profile in the spring & summer, but could definitely be worn in cooler months. Lasts a very long time, 8+ hrs. My bottle is rather old and well-macerated, so that plays a major factor too.

I recently purchased this perfume based on some reviews, and by notes that I read. Although I haven't wore the perfume yet, I did spritz a little just to get the effects. It really smells pleasant, a very subtle, and not a overpowering scent. This may be one of those scents that may need a little extra help to bring out the vibe a little more. The key with fragrances are going to also be based on moisture levels on your skin.

A lovely fragrance that emphasizes honey, jasmine, and amber. Although it does smell a bit aged, I found it to be a very cozy and warm scent which I enjoyed wearing during the winter months. While it might not project dramatically, it stays around for quite a while without ever becoming stuffy or offensive.

Lovely, sunny, rich, creamy. Lasts very well, very soft & classy. Drydown becomes slightly soapy, but in a likeable way for a change. Cost is AMAZING. Smells VERY similar to Red Pearl, with RP being a little brighter/sweeter up top. I prefer NM, it is longer lasting and simply more beautiful.

I wasn't impressed with Nicole Miller right at first. Then I did my take a bath before bed time and then sprayed it on. I woke up to a lovely smoky fruit smell...the plus side my husband LOVES it and begged me to wear it more..I put it away for winter and fall.

Sweet honeyed peaches with first spray. So many of my favorite 90's fragrances have a peach note. This is warm and opulent. Creamy tuberose, powdery amber, and rich sandalwood. Fantastic bargain buy. This is a gorgeous oriental floral. Such a pretty bottle too.

Nicole Miller is a great designer so I purchased this EDP because it was a great buy on the Managers Special ($22). I have not found an occassion for it as of yet.

The sweet powderiness of the Parlux version actually reminds me of Boudoir-Vivienne Westwood.

This one is interesting! I definitely get the 90s chypre feel and I’m not really mad about it. I sometimes miss the richness of those 90s scents! I have a feeling there’s a lot of people that may feel the same way! I get a fruity, powdery floral with a warm woody base. Back in the day, I would’ve rocked this year round. But today, I feel it’s a bit heavy and would keep it to fall and winter. The opening does smell slightly cheap but not too long in, I feel that goes away. I don’t love it, but I do like it and can see myself wearing it for day to day occasions during the cooler months. I struggle with a powdery accord, and if it wasn’t for that, I would’ve personally liked it a lot more. I was a huge Mackie fan, and still have it in my collection. I just smelled them side by side and can say, they're maybe similar, but Mackie has a soapy smell where this has a powdery one. As far as 273, I find them completely different aside from both being 90s scents and sharing a few of the same notes. I prefer both of those to this. However, as I stated, I struggle with a powdery accord, and can give me a headache. If you love a powdery scent you’d probably really enjoy this!

Thanks Jillzilla for the sample, and the warning that Nicole Miller might be "sharp and plasticky" like Red Door. Luckily, not on me! On my skin, Nicole Miller is a beautiful 90s fruity floriental that I would recommend to anyone who loves warm florals. You have to let Nicole Miller air out initially, as the green-coriander-aldehyde bomb smells quite synthetic and sharp. But after that point, the top notes are pure gorgeousness. Peach and plum, plum and peach, juicy juicy liquor. Playful and exhuberant, but still spicy in good oriental taste. Then the composition melts into dry honeyed white florals. I pick out tuberose (white floral) orchid (musky skin-settler) and honey (just-right sweetness) most clearly. It's so luscious! I say it's dry because of the undercurrent of benzoin and woods from the base. Nicole Miller is like Mackie, less spicy and white florals instead of a flower bouquet. Nicole Miller is also like Accenti, adding in plum and floral notes. And Nicole Miller is like Kenzo by Kenzo, though less floral, sweeter, and more fruity. Mostly Nicole Miller is wonderful and deserves a cult following!

I bought it because of the raving reviews here, but I should have known better. Floral is usually not so much my thing (with a few exceptions), unless it is in combination with some balsamic, citrus or vanilla undertone or a true jasmine bomb, because I am a jasmine addict. This is sweet. VERY sweet. I usually love very sweet, but to me it smells like something is missing to actually make me go "WOW". I will try this with a citrus body wash and citrus body lotion. I bet it will pop right up for me that way. I find no similarity at all to Poeme, which I love. Again, it is nice, and I like it, but it is not a frag where I would store a back up bottle in fear it might be discontinued. In fact, when it's gone, I will not repurchase for sure. Update: Tonight I wear Nicole Miller after taking a shower with lemon shower gel and afterwards I applied a lemon lotion, and it happened what I thought it would: Nicole Miller mixed so lovely with the lemon aroma: WOW. But a great fragrance needs to be lovely on its own without help of shower gels or body lotions that stir it into another direction, and for me, Nicole Miller can't stand on its own to make it work for me.

It is cheap and unfortunatelly smells also very cheap - in its current formula at least. More retro than classic in style but the problem is the cheapened, low-quality synthetic formula that almost burns one's nose. Please don't take all these as insult for those who love this scent, I often like retro cheap scents that has quality but even more often have to face the fact that many of those retro/clasic scents that are offered at a very good price nowadays are not cheap by accident but by the fact that their current producers ruined them terribly. To the actual fragrance: it is anooyingly sweet, aldehydic and powdery at the same time with ripe fruits and heavy flora accords. Actually, I'm sure it was a beautiful rich fragrance once and it's a shame how it smells today.

To my nose, this is a very dated scent. Smells like it came from the eighties rather than the nineties.I own several fragrance from that era that,in my opinion,are more timeless. The combination of notes are tolerable and well put together but not something I want to smell like.Very feminine and sweet but seems as if it should be wafting off of a classy,seventies-something lady...... Hopefully that is not offensive to any of you lovely people. What I'm really trying to convey is that just as one often associates light,fruity concoctions with the very young crowd, this one..in my mind...is associated with the more mature.This is not to say that if you love it...no matter your age...you shouldn't,by all means,wear it. It's just not for me.

OMG! I recently swapped away a floral chypre called Strass by Luciano Soprani because it just wasn't sweet enough for my current taste. When I first sniffed Nicole Miller, my first thought was "Strass, but sweeter!" Well, guess what! Of the 10 notes listed for Strass on this site, 9 of them are in Nicole Miller! Will wonders never cease? This is a classic perfume that smells much more expensive than its price tag. Later: Unfortunately for me, the chypre-esque opening fades quickly and NM becomes more just a soft floral a la Sung or Mackie. For that reason, I probably won't reach for this very often.

This one just arrived. sadly all the things I dont like in Opium and Shalimar (both of these I very much wanted to like) and one little thing I love in Spellbound. This is very strong, deffinately suited to night time and the cooler months. Really dissappoingted. But I'll give it another try before giving up. If any Aussies are interested though.. Its available for you :)

It's not nice to dump on any perfume, but this feels more like a PSA. I was working from memory, having owned and given away a full bottle many years ago. I figured my taste has evolved so much, I would probably like this now. Nope, not the case. It's just not good. Read all of the negative reviews here and take them to heart.

This scent to me smells VERY 70's. I can't complain - it smells like something I would have sampled from my mother's dresser top. Very powdery, "cloudy" incense smell. It smells warm, comforting, and traditional. For me it is "OK", I'd wear it now and then if someone gave it to me, but probably wouldn't buy it for myself.

Smells like honey (predominant note). Smells like a cheap drugstore perfume (in a bad way). I love cheapies. Don't pay more then 5-10$ It does not worth $15-20. I can imagine that it was beautiful back in 90s. Not anymore. Love the cap though. Pretty.

long lasting perfume, but it is not a young bright scent. It is "perfumy" in the old fashion way. Its like walking into a classy soap store, and picking up a powder scented with peach fragrance. think Chanel No5.
