OMG!! Aside from "Ralph Lauren Hot," this is probably literally my favorite fragrance I own (and my collection includes over 150 fragrances, both male and female.) When I bought my very first bottle of this about a year and a half ago...I thought the longevity and projection was horrible. As I'm a couple years into my fragrance "experience" or "career" now...I'm realizing that you really have to start realizing the difference between a fragrance having no longevity and sillage versus your sense of smell just being numbed to the fragrance and not recognizing the fragrance is still there. So here's the story: One night I was working my second job (which is at a restaurant here in Pennsylvania.) And anyway, it was just this past week...on a night it was REALLY cold, and I just really was missing and craving the smell of this. So...I decided to wear it. My shift started at 5PM and an entire 4 hours later a customer that was walking towards me, but I kid you not guys...she was still a good 8-9 feet away from me, AND I hadn't re-applied the fragrance at all in those 4 hours, and the woman out loud was like "Omg, someone around here smells like...amazing!" And since my co workers know me as the fragrance guru...they all pointed to me and said, "It's probly this guy right here." lol. But after that...I realized I should start utilizing people around me to know whether the fragrance really isn't a longevity monster...or if perhaps it is...and I just don't know it because I'm used to the fragrance after the first hour or so. So...I immediately started asking my co workers right after that customer walked out the door. And yep...to my surprise...it was just me. EVERYONE literally that I was working with...said they had been getting whiffs of it all night and the fragrance hadn't weakened much at all. So I apologize to this fragrance and I gotta give credit where it's due. I now update my review and stats of the fragrance's performance to the opposite end of the scale lol. I thought all this time I only got between 90 minutes to 2 hours max from this fragrance. But now...I know I actually get about 5-6 hours. Same thing with sillage. I thought it projected 6 inches to a foot off of me. But I now know this fragrance (when sprayed generously) can fill an entire room. And as for the scent itself... as stated earlier...I'm absolutely in love. One of my top 5 fragrances that I own and I own hundreds. It's amazing. So warm, so comforting, the best, most modern, and sweetest twist on patchouli I've ever smelled. This fragrance is versatile with age also. Can be worn by an 18 year old...or can be worn by a 45 year old. Really doesn't matter. And this smells good on either gender. Really doesn't matter. It's a beautifully made fragrance! Even the bottle and box is gorgeous. TWO THUMBS UP NICOLE!! Amazing job on this one!

Nope, not like Euphoria. This is not a FRUITY floral, it is definitely more in the oriental floral, as Fragrantica has categorized it. I walked around Macy's sniffing tons of stuff today...(CK, Dior, Chanel, BVLGARI, Givenchy, Donna Karan, Coach, Dolce&Gabbana, Lady Gaga, Selena Gomez... ( right, you get the picture!!) It all ended just being sweet and fruity. I have SO many sweet and fruity perfumes and body sprays...(including CK Euphoria, which is a favorite of mine)...While I love them all, I am sick to death of them and don't want to buy something that I already have a million of! Then I tried Nicole and was very surprised. Yeah, my eyebrows shot up! Creamy, amber, and that candied patchouli make for a faintly sweet powder dry down. There is not too much citrus, though it lends a small bite that fades pretty quickly, and "cashmere sandalwood" gives it a nice grounding. Let's just say the stuff is nicely balanced. I agree it has that Kim K Gold vibe & yeah, possibly in the neighborhood with Guess by Marciano both of which I really like, and btw for NOT being fruity florals!!! amber, citrus, the base holds it down. I think this would be a good layering perfume. You could put almost anything on top of it. Alas, it didn't last too long on my skin, though I only had one spray, but of all the ones I smelled, this and Gucci Premiere were the two standouts... as in, these were the ones that were not what everyone else is doing and re-doing and trying to get us to buy over and over and over again. Nicely done Nicole. I was pleasantly surprised. Probably going to spring for the FB. (the bottle is pretty cool too btw, though a bit chunky... looks like carved ice). Edit: sweetgirl. You can edit your entries. You don't need to clog up the review section with a new comment of every thought that flies out of your head. Also, YELLING at me in all caps that you think this smells like Euphoria is just silly. Everyone perceives scent differently SO MY experience is this is nothing like Euphoria. This is not a blog or a news forum where we all yell at each other in order to be "right" or "wrong". This is an opinion/my experience forum and everyone is right. Cheers! :)

Well this blind buy came in today and I am greatly happy it did. I was a bit nervous about trying another celebrity fragrance, well a fragrance from a candy-pop type celebrity anyway. 1st I'd like to agree with several others that Nicole chose a fantastic package designer, hats off to that. It's probably one of the most beautiful bottles I've ever seen or held. The vintage heavy crystal styled glass is almost worth the price in and of itself. Now to the scent. I was amazed by the unique slightly vintage, sultry and elegant aroma of this fragrance, I was surprised at the intensity of the Amber and Cashmere which seemed to stand out so strongly on me, producing an almost intense Spicy Caramel smell, but not a sweet one, a dark sultry one. After about 30 minutes it faded into a pure cashmere amber and patch smell with a noticeable overtone of jasmine. The blend was just amazing and rich. Certainly no weak watery sugar in this fragrance and smells WAY more expensive than it is. I happily place this in the category of other celebrity surprises such as Queen Latifah's 2 scents, Queen and Queen of Hearts, as well as the over whelming surprise known as Fancy Nights. Though they all have their own smell, this fits into the spicy, dark, sultry category very nicely. I didn't get much berry, orange or some of the other notes like Rose...thankfully. Like most of us of course, we can be hard on a fragrance we love when it fades or doesn't last all day, sometimes I think we demand too much "Time" out of an evaporative liquid. It seemed to last about 6-7 good hours on me before a small re-application is required. It's certainly a 9/10 and my hat's off to the nose behind this scent. I think sometimes we have to remember, that although a celebrity may attach their name/banner/Note-ideas to a fragrance, that it is the professional nose behind it that can make or break a fragrance. I will be searching his other works as he certainly has my vote on this one. Certainly a fragrance worth having in your wardrobe.

Opening notes of Nicole bring to mind the snapping open of a ripe peach, fresh from a market stand. You break it in half, the pit still in place, and inhale the juicy fruit in all its' delicious ripeness. Nothing synthetic, pure freshness, you can almost feel the juice dripping. Add fresh-churned vanilla ice cream, the kind you get from dairy farms in the country. Vanilla ice cream that has a fresh flavor and aroma to it unlike no other because it was just churned today with fresh milk from dairy cows. Now add the sweet patchouli. And this is a sweet, mellow you can eat patchouli. Nicole wears very lightly unless you layer it or use a moisturizing trick to get the fragrance to last longer. I use a very sheer veil of vaseline first on my skin, then spray the perfume. Any perfume I have that doesn't have good longevity suddenly lasts for hours on me. I really love this scent. It's full-bodied, creamy, rich with its ambery, spicy feel. Not too fruity at all, the peach is more of a rum type or a boozy impression. The bottle is what drew me in, tho. It reminds me of the Eiffel Tower. It sits neatly in my hand, easy to spray and is art deco and just pretty to display. I love wearing this now during the winter-watching the snow fall and hearing the winds blow. Its notes are warm, sensual and comforting. I do wish it lasted longer, but todays perfumes unfortunately do not, it seems. But, taking into consideration how wonderful the opening is, and how to make it last, Nicole really is nice.

I am (slightly) guilty of a habit of smirking & snottily, haughtily walking past a celebrity endorsed scent because of the name instead of doing a little research and a.)actually SMELLING the scent & b.) discovering who the NOSE/DESIGNER behind the scent actually is. People who pass over a bottle of one scent because it is boxed with Taylor Swift, Britney Spears, J Lo, or Faith Hill's name on it may be shocked to learn that the person who helped create that scent could have developed a Prada, La Perla, Theirry Mugler or Gaultier that sits on their dressing table. I knew I was taking a risk because it was sealed and there was a no return policy from this store, but I took it. I'm SO happy I did. It’s comforting in a "I've known this smell forever" kind of way. I’ve read that infants can detect pheromones & the scent of their mother and have even been known to instantly calm down when fussy in someone else's care if a soft t-shirt their mother has worn is placed near the child. This is the effect this perfume has on me! I felt instantly calm. It’s a perfect mix of musky pretty tones and warm soft spices. If you like patchouli, vanilla, & amber, give this a chance. It’s so well blended & almost seamless on my skin from beginning to end. Creamy, warm, soft & comforting. I get NO berry scent whatsoever and especially not a "Euphoria" anything to my nose. (Although, I realize everyone's chemistry does different things on their body). The bottle is GORGEOUS! xx

I'm a dude, and this has come to be one of my favourite fragrances of all time. I'll wear it whenever, wherever. This stuff genuinely holds it own clearly against some of my favourite tom ford, xerjoff, amouage, etc. Opens with a super juicy, sweet, blackberry and a light orange. Only very slightly soapy, which is just so perfect for me. This fruitiness dries down quickly though, and we get this SUPER smooth, AMAZING sweet, floral ambery vanilla. To me, most amber, even in much more expensive perfumes, can get a little harsh, or even a little abrasive, but with Nicole, it's really pleasant and buttery. With the amber and vanilla, sneaks along the patchouli. I am a MASSIVE massive patchouli guy, so this is quite wonderful. He sneakily plays a light role, until after maybe 6-7 hours after application when he ambushes you (in a good way) and steals the show. At this point, the projection has died down to just above a skin scent, and patchouli drives this thing straight to the finish line, its got the classic foggy, almost damp smell of patchouli, but its supported by the nice vanilla that remains. As always, this duo is amazing. Lasts a solid 8-9 hours, projects just okay. Really reminds me of another classic: Sadonaso by Nasomatto, but yeah, of course this came out well over a decade before it but they smell very similar, just take the fruitiness out of this fragrance, and add in some coffee and honey. I want to hug this smell. I want to eat this smell.

As a perfume rule, I avoid celebrity scents. Yes, that is a discriminatory rule but most are pretty vile and only released because it's the thing to do nowadays. While I do own a few celebrity created perfumes, most of them are in my collection for kicks (and also because I throw nothing away!). Imagine my surprise when I spotted a bottle of Nicole at Ross a few months back. First, I had no idea Nicole Richie created a perfume and second, I was suprised that it was already at Ross (it was released in 2012) for only $20! I bought it blindly and was very, very happy to discover this scent is really great. It goes way beyond the standard celebrity scent - it's not fruity overly sweet or bubblegummy - it's actually more of what I would expect from a design house as it is more complex and rich. I get more patchuoli and amber than anything from this scent. Since I love both of those notes, I enjoy this perfume. It almost reminds me of a perfume oil. I also find the staying power to be pretty good. This is definitely a find and has now become one of my favorite scents. Not overly floral or irritating, just soft and warm.

I am not usually a fan of patchouli scents, but this one may be the exception. It definitely has a bohemian vibe, but it's also young and playful. As far as bohemian patchouli scents go, Botega Veneta would be upscale luxe hippies with money, like Marin County hippies, Thiery Mugler Angel would be San Francisco yuppy hippies, Chopard Wish would be Seattle glam hippies, and this one would be Santa Cruz hippies - the ones who are young, carefree and live near the beach so they can surf. It has a light fruity raspberry scent with layered amber, but the strongest note is the patchouli. I always get headaches with Angel and even Chopard Wish, but this one is softer, much more wearable. I'm keeping it in rotation for my bohemian days when I layer a floral maxi dress with a headscarf, peacock earrings, and a velvet burnout shawl. It has that soft ladylike bohemian feel.

This seems to have DNA from several other scents I love, Guess by Marciano, Sean John Unforgivable, and a bit like Betsy Johnson's 1st one, and maybe even a touch similar to Victoria Beckham's Signature for her. I'm very happy with this even though it's similarity to others I have, it has it's own personality. Of course these are things I smell with MY nose, and this is how I compare it. This isn't for EVERYone, but it's for a majority of people I think. The bottle is sweet, looking like the Eiffel tower to me, along with other structures some here have mentioned. Glad to have this one. Wouldn't have been possible without some very informative reviews. Thankyou all! Edit 6/27/13 I hafta add that I'm getting gigantic lasting power. I adore this and am glad I grabbed this in a panic, thinking I might miss out.

I like, almost love, Nicole Richie as I do most fragrances by Steve Demercado. I bought my bottle of Nicole at Ross for $20 (thanks for that tip, JungleRed). My first impression of Nicole is seville orange brushed with berry and then almost immediately the fragrance dries to amber, vanilla and patchouli with just a hint of papyrus. On me Nicole is a lighter, and gentler version of Fancy Nights, similar to Queen but without the boozey aspect. I think that Steve Demercado is at his best when he works with these warmer fragrances. I have several others he has created but these three (by far the least expensive) are my favorites of his and Nicole is probably the most wearable. On me Nicole projects well, lasts about six hours on my skin and up to twenty four plus on clothing.

This is a wonderful body spray, but too weak to be called eau de parfum. I get mostly amber vanilla, with lots of dried roses mixed with 1 fresh white rose, a touch of honey, and a good deal of sweet yet mossy patchouli. This is one of the few fragrances where I actually believe it could have been inspired by what the advertising copy says it was inspired by. To me, it actually does smell like layering of body oils, lotion, shower gel and hair conditioner. But when I wear it,I have to layer the Nicole body lotion with the perfume AND carry a roll-on in my purse to avoid being frustrated by its lack of longevity. So don't spend too much. My giftset was only about $25, so I don't feel ripped off as I use it up fast.

This perfume smells just like Euphoria. I'm surprised alot more people don't think so. After initial application of both perfumes, Euphoria has a stronger and smoother scent. Nichole, I find is a little more sharp and can smell somewhat bitter. The dry down is exactly the same with the exception that Nicole is not as intense. I like to use Euphoria for date nights as it smells really alluring. I use Nicole on just casual nights out with my friends. I think this is one of the more mature celeb scents kind of like Hilary Duff with love. Totally worth your money. And, I don't think this smells like Jessica Simpson Fancy Nights. I don't think anything smells like Fancy Nights. It's quiet strong and distinct.

THEEEEE most beautiful perfume bottle and packaging in perfume history. Period! Not just celebrity perfumes. I mean ALL perfumes. Jennifer Lopez's Deseo bottle is a close second. Ironic that (in my opinion) the two most beautiful perfume bottles ever created are celebrity perfumes. This bottle is a work of art. And the bronze box with the peacock coloring is so beautiful and telling of the scent itself. Whoever designed it needs an award. **I did write a review on this but it's buried by now. It's below if you're interested. But I LOVE this perfume. LOVE IT! Is in my cheapie hall of fame for sure!!**

Nicole is one of my top 5 favorite perfumes! I love that when you first spray this perfume I get a huge burst of sweet oranges and blackberries but this is not like a sickly sweet this is a fresh picked juicy sweet then as it progress the lily of the valley come and just turns the whole perfume floral but it still has some traces of the fruit from the top. Then in the base the most powerful note to me is the vanilla and the sandle wood this base smells amazingly warm and cozy! One of my favorites 10/10 and are bottle is so vintage looking I love everything about this scent.

Patchouli as the #1 most intense note made me nervous. The more perfumes I try with patch, the more I realise I really love it! "sugared" patchouli is really a key term for this fragrance - sweetness to nullify the sharpness. Papyrus is a smell that does remind me of paper, but don't worry - the cashmere and tangy woods mellow everything out. As another reviewer said, Nicole is a "symphony" of notes. The staying power is on the light side, so expect to touch up ~3 times per day. Don't be afraid to spritz your scarf or cardigan, too.

The bottle, the juice and even the cap make this an overall beauty to me. I fell in love with this after my friend blindly purchased it in TJ Maxx. I begged her for it but she refused to let me buy it from her. Sadly it was the last bottle on the shelf. The next day I found it online for a steal and ordered it asap! I think it is best in winter because it is a bit heavy, but still perfect! The patchouli and papyrus stand out to me. The silage and longevity are a 10. I want a backup already!

I tried this today at Macy's. It is nice but I wish it lasted longer. All I get at the end is some pure vanilla that is very very close to the skin and almost undetectable. It also reminds me alot of other celeb scents I have tried in the past. Nothing too special but nice. I would get a bottle if it was really discounted like at TJ MAXX or something and I could pile it on in order to smell it longer, but I would not pay full price at Macy's for perfume that barely lasted 2 hours on me.

LOVE LOVE LOVE this. It really smells like art nouveau looks. It's decorative, but deep and earthy.... but clean, cozy and dreamy. Its seductive and mysterious but not too heavy...If you want something sophisticated but casual...but dressy. This is the scent for you...Probably the most versatile scent I've ever worn..It is best for fall or winter..but I love it so much..I dare say..its great for spring or summer....If you want to smell dreamy...and to me dreamy is good for ANY season.

I have never experienced a perfume that did such a complete 180 degree turn. To me the first spray is mostly sharp berries - harsh and off-putting. But just a short while later it completely transforms into soft vanilla-ambery lusciousness. A bit spicy and a bit powdery and very, very feminine. Then there is that ultra-glam bottle that makes me think of something an old movie star would have on her vanity. Very fun. What a good purchase this was for a very tiny price.

oh my...simply intoxicating! I could bathe in this...can't stop sniffing my arm. I bought this by following the nose Steve DeMercado. I also have and love Fancy Nights, Queen Latifah and Queen all by the same nose and they are all gorgeous. This one is angels little sister. It is very well blended. Blackberries,vanilla, amber and patchouli.....so delicious. Slight sillage. I just put it on so not sure how long it lasts.

This fragrance is heavenly! It's pretty one-dimensional,it stays the same all the way through. That's fine with me,because I don't want it to change! This is neither flowery nor fruity,this is more woodsy,with just the right amount of patchouli. This does not scream celebrity at all. It smells like a fancy,high-end expensive perfume. I'm not crazy about the bottle,but Nicole did do a good job with this one!

I am having to eat crow more and more with regards to patchoulli fragrances...I used to avoid them across the board...now I find I do better to test first-read later! This is so warm and lovely, it might end up my first patch-centric perfume if it lasts for awhile. I have no complaints about the patchouli in this and only admiration for the scent as a whole. That wasn't too hard to swallow....

I'm impressed with the packaging. The bronze box has Art Deco/Nouveau detailing with turquoise lining, very nice. The bottle itself was inspired by Art Deco, the Eiffel tower and the heyday of Baccarat crystal. Nice!. The scent does smell creamy and soft, like layering lotions and potions indeed, however the lasting power is really poor, and almost no sillage.

This inexpensive gem is very obviously from the same nose responsible for Vince Camuto...these aren't twins but very nearly identical cousins. Nicole is a bit sweeter and has an edge of citrus. Give it 20 minutes to dry down from it's initial sharp notes and you really do get a warm, comforting smell that is an echo of Vince Camuto without the booze. Love it.

I love love love this fragrance. This is my favorite scent and I have a very large collection. I love the sweet patchouli and enjoy layering it with some of my oud scents that are in need of something sweeter. I am so in love with this,I will purchase a few more bottles for my use and not for collection purposes (even though the bottle is divine).

Smells divine and sophisticated. It took me a while for this to grow on me. The patchouli is not that strong and it is well balanced with the amber. I don't smell much sandalwood. Bottle is gorgeous but the siliage and longevity is poor on me. Wish it was stronger. Other than that it is a well made fragrance.

While I find many celebrity fragrances to be "one note", to me Nicole is more of a symphony. It's well balanced and has depth. I also adore the bottle. I found the gift set for $22 on Amazon and it was a steal in my opinion.

Am I the only one who hates this bottle? The font of her name is awful, and the ad isn't very good. This looks trashy to me, like a celeb gragrance that's trying too hard to be upscale but it just isn't working.

I really love this perfume. It's perfect for those cold winter days. I think one of my favorite things about this is actually the bottle itself. It's very funky and unique looking and I love anything different.

for me ..patchouli and vanilla are nice..i love bottle..but The longevity is poor.it is very bad for it.. certainly softer version of euphoria scent...celebrity fragrance..I have found this product so lovable

Smells like something Lush would put out, but a bit softer. I really like that it's bold but not overwhelming. Fruity, woody & warm.

I absolutely love this perfume. It's really a great fragrance. It smells a lot like Euphoria... But better!!

When I first appied this golden beauty to my wrist, I thought : Casmere, Vanille Bourbon, , Apricot, rich Amber and fresh leather. I was not too far. Now I can slightly detect the blend of tart blackberries and fresh orange which I took for Apricot . This is a very light yet most noticeable Amber perfume , imho. I seem to be drawn more and more to sweet floriental ambers I now notice :). Interesting!.The bright yet noticeable Rose seems to add a certain early Spring freshness to an otherwise rather wintry frag. The lilly of the valley only emphasises that delicate floral whiff that somehow 'illuminates ' the fragrance and makes it multidimentional to me. I loved this one from the first delighted whiff, but as I let it settle on my writs, I appreciate it more and more. When the bright 'fruitiness' settles , the vanilla becomes a rich and opulent one that radiates slightly but creates a creamy cloud of honey-amber around you. I love this note that deepens to a sweet patchouli and creamy woodsy drydown. I am quite happy it lasts on me. Ambers always do. Especially such sweet ones. The papyrus in this one is not as decectable as in Fancy Nights. It is quite tame since the vanlilla is truly THE olfactive 'pyramidal pillar'; Light like white honey in the opening and ripening to a fruity apricot syrup necar ;) All in all , I ends up becoming a skin perfume , kind of like Lolita Lempika's Fleur Défendue perfume does . I got compliments hours later since I spray it mostly in my fresh washed hair. Great longevity ! It is a comfort fragrance to me and I find the bottle lovely to behold! Beautiful carving that sparkles in the candle-light and a most interesting shape: (it has indeed been popular in BBW too I noticed..) The Eifel Tower but.. somehow flattened :). The cap is especially gorgeous with the gold shimmering under ' crystal-like cap with inlaid details. Well done. And the fragance is for now my go to.. It was on sale so I kinda splurged ;) One I will surely enjoy but not sure if I shall repurchase. Great everyday warm fragrance for cool days xxx

I didn't even know this existed until yesterday when I saw this in the "perfume review" section on the right side of the screen (it was clickingpenguin's review that caught my attention)and the beautiful bottle made me click. I read the notes and the reviews and got pretty excited to test this one because it sounded like "my kinda thing". Then I noticed the box design...wait a minute, I just saw this at Ross like 2 weeks ago and dismissed it because I thought it was some heady, stiff, aldehyde-y 90's perfume. So I jumped in the car, hoping it was still there and it was! I like this a lot, but not because it is some groundbreaking fragrance I've never smelled before, I like it because it smells EXACTLY like things I already like. First spray is a very pretty, soft blackberry and vanilla but that last about 10 seconds before it turned into something that was so familiar to me I kept huffing my arm hoping the memory would materialize into a solid image. BAM! I know what this is!! My high school signature, Sun Moon and Stars (Karl Lagerfeld)I haven't smelled that for over 10 years but that's exactly what this is! About 10-15 minutes later it developed into another perfume I'm very familiar with and love-Guess by Marciano (which another reviewer down the line mentioned also and I cannot agree more!) That lasts a good while, but the perfume itself doesn't last real long if you don't use hefty squirts. You'll know it's on it's last leg and dying out when it starts to smell like a soft, creamy vanilla (like a soft serve cone). I wish I could give a more accurate description of the scent itself instead of just listing things it smells like ( I really hate that because most of the time I haven't smelled the perfumes that people liken it too either so it really doesn't help any) But I just can't verbalize what this smells like because all I can smell IS those other 2 perfumes.

I'm so thrilled to have this one. I usually don't take the actual bottle into consideration, but I just may have bent my own rule a little :) The bottle is absolutely gorgeous. I'm not going to go on and on about it, because I know that the bottle isn't that important. But it's this unique art deco type of creation that makes me smile every time I look at it. It reminds me of an old perfume bottle that my mom has sitting on her vanity. I think that vintage feel is what makes this bottle design so appealing. But anyway, on to the scent. I really have to hand it to her. Instead of coming out with some generic bubble gum fruit pop scent, Nicole took the road less traveled (by celebrities). The scent is warm and earthy, but still kind of citrusy sweet too. It actually reminds me a bit of With Love by Hilary Duff, which is another celebrity scent I stand by for it's uniqueness. Nicole's lasting power is so-so and the scent tends to sit close to the skin. However, sometimes I'll catch a little whiff of it several hours after application, just to remind me that it's still there. All and all, Nicole is a nice perfume. It's not my favorite, but it's definitely wearable if you like earthy, slightly sweet, patchouli based scents. I find that it's best to get the gift set because this scent really benefits from some layering.

Without looking at a single other review, I will submit mine in first stating that as a potential wearer you must, and I repeat, must, love patchouli. Still, the bitter-sweet amber that nearly matches the patchouli in intensity helps balance it, keeping the patchouli from completely dominating. On first spray you will smell the blackberries and they remain for a few hours, blending nicely and not overwhelmed by the patch-amber bomb. To my nose there is virtually no orange but that could be the bitterness I detected. The vanilla is greener, not gourmand and the papyrus helps to add a crisp edge. At about 30 minutes the rose develops and blends with the wood. I barely detect lily-of-the-valley and the sandalwood only appears in the long term drydown. Overall, this one's like a sweet incense berry-patch-amber nighttime scent with a hint of an unlisted tobacco and it's definitely unisex to my nose. If you miss the original Prada or Prada Tendre, this will serve as a nice substitute. Note: One of my Wicca books states that patchouli is an aphrodisiac when worn by men. With this combination, I see everyone having a good time. (Edit: three sprays in the morning at 7am. At 2:30pm, I am getting wafts of a tea scent. It's absolutely lovely, like opening a wooden tea caddy filled with assorted Twinings favorites. Mmm.)

NICOLE opens with a rich blackberry note. I can't pick up the Seville oranges, but I can make out what I think is raspberry. These berry notes are long and distinctive, so carries down to the heart of the perfume. I'm not able to separate any floral notes apart from the listed rose and a hint of lily from the sweetly powdered floral jumble heart of the fragrance, as the patchouli develops quickly and lasts for the duration of the perfume. The rose mixes with the slightly spicy vanilla, for a pleasant 'Turkish Delight' aroma. I'm not familiar with papyrus, but I'm guessing that it is responsible for the slightly bitter spiciness that hides under the sweeter notes. There is no strong indication between the heart notes and the base, thanks to the constant presence of the powdery floral/vanilla mix and patchouli. The soft, creamy cashmere and sandalwood mingled closely together so it is a warm, comforting mix, that is again similar to the heart notes. Overall: NICOLE is pleasant and easy to wear, but not anything to get excited about. The reasonable price and good longevity [between six and eight hours] make up for the lack of originality, so the perfume is a pretty good buy and a nice gift choice.

Okay, okay, I bought this for the lovely art deco bottle. I was hoping I'd be wrong and love the fragrance, but alas, despite so many positive reviews, I just don't care much for it. I think it's likely the patchouli that is off putting for me. I have a few select fragrances with patchouli, but they are somewhat sweeter than this. I love amber as a fragrance note, but for me, I mostly get patchouli. I don't smell the berry or citrus at all, and I also don't get a lot of floral in this. I'm glad it was so cheap, because it really is just going to be a pretty bottle with unused perfume. For someone who likes this type of scent check out TJ Maxx, because I got a 1.7 oz. for only $10.00. Maybe I'll try mixing this with something else, just so it doesn't go to waste. Edit: I've decided I like this a lot more than I'd originally thought. In fact, it's lovely. It has a sophisticated vibe that so many fruity florals just lack. To me, this is sexy and alluring. The longevity might not be the best, but I don't find it to be that bad either. A perfume I'd originally bought for the bottle, is now going to actually be used. So glad I bought this.

This is far more sophisticated than I thought it would be. Upon opening, there's a rush of orange, vanilla and a hint of blackberry. The vanilla is prevalent throughout the entire fragrance experience, but not so intense that it's distracting. The lasting power isn't as intense as I'd like it to be, however, I find that it's a good fragrance for daywear. I'd layer it up with some more amber for the evening (as I love amber). I don't detect the middle notes of rose or the lily of the valley at all. There's a slight hint of papyrus giving the fragrance a nice woody/dry aroma and amber is ghost-like in it's presence. The dry down is lovely and subtle. Amber, vanilla, patchouli and cashmere wood round off the fragrance well. The bottle design is ambitious - my interpretation likens it to a hybrid between art deco and a futuristic pyramid or a ship from Tron! That being said, I do LOVE the bottle design! I'll be adding it to my china cabinet collection of unusual perfume bottles! Sophisticated subtlety in a fabulous bottle! Highly recommended for office wear, high teas and any other girly girl-type activities!

this is a very interesting scent-when i first picked up bottle and smelled it at Macy's, I noticed the smoky floral and patchouli right away. I think I do get the blackberries but I wish this note was more prominent. after short time it gets to the middle notes and almost immediately to base. I wouldn't exactly call it chypre but its sort of smoky and musky smelling floral that has deep spice note. I am having hard time to describing this scent but it reminds me of Poetica by Kat Von D. As others said, lasting power is not great on this-I sprayed it before going out to dinner and it was completely gone less than 2 hours later. I am REALLY sick of fragrances that don't last! I will say that I have Guess perfume as well and it doesn't smell even remotely simular to me. Bottle is gorgeous but I know that I would find it very difficult to spray. I tend to prefer rectagular bottle. I am afraid this is a no for me-I would have been tempted to get a small bottle if the lasting power wasn't so poor as its quite a nice and unique scent

To add my two cents worth now, I happen to really like this. Today is both hot and humid but Nicole has now lasted over 8 hours. Although containing vanilla, and patchouli, it's not at all cloying. The amber is present throughout and never overbearing. Soft on the skin but it isn't disappearing. I didn't apply much so I'll have to try it again to see if projection increases as so far that is the only draw-back. Develops nicely on the skin however. Fruits and flowers never dominate. For me the amber is the heart of Nicole, and I happen to think this is the best celeb perfume I've tried in years and one of the few I've cared enough about to comment on. The long dry-down is a gentle and pleasant blend of amber, vanilla & woods. In fact I think this is just fabulous, and it is comforting, and a real surprise in the much derided celeb scent category.

Nicole is my perfume of the week but I was confused at first. It's really the first time that I've noticed the differences in performance depending on where I've sprayed on my skin. I wouldn't normally wear perfume on the back of my hand but that's where I have to wear it to get lovely soft moderately sweet patchouli with berries which lasts for a few hours. Delicious! Different story on the wrist. More of a green undertone which may be the lily-of-the-valley. It's still nice, but no berries and not as strong. I don't think the amber is as strong as depicted in the pyramid but it melds together into a beautiful base along with the vanilla and sandalwood. Nicole is a sophisticated fragrance, not overpowering at all. I'll be keeping an eye out for other products to layer with.

If SJP Lovely and Mugler Angel had a pretty, soft lil perfume baby. Mainly rose, patchouli, and sweetness. Mild but persistent projection. It goes on kind of rough at first, then it starts to smell like Angel-lite, then the rose comes out. It becomes like candied rose petals sitting atop fresh soil, but clean. It reminds me of how a chocolate-rose scented soap would smell. Earthy, sweet, and comfortable to wear. The bottle is stunning. Decent lasting power on the skin. The perfume is a great value for the price. (This perfume came out in 2012, was discontinued, and it's now 2025. So this review is not for a fresh, new bottle as it was when it was first released. It was probably even more enjoyable back then.)

Surprisingly gorgeous! Much better than I had imagined. I came by this on accident. It was just sitting there on the counter, and I was bored waiting for my husband at the mall. I had tried all the other frags of interest already, so I said why not. This scent is beautiful! I get lots of vanilla/amber/sandalwood on the drydown, and I guess the patchouli is there too but I did not find it that prominent, especially an hour or so after spraying it on. Even though I really really like this, I’m not sure it’s full bottle worthy. I just don’t find it unique enough to see myself wearing a full bottles worth, but I would totally get a decant or a rollerball if it comes in one. Nice job, Nicole!

I had this as a teenager and it's not the most memorable thing I've ever smelt. Very nice scent for younger audiences, but it's about as linear and uncomplicated as your average body splash or lotion with a similar note listing. Really, if you grab anything with a high enough quality dollop of amber off the shelf at the drugstore, you will find it very similar to this. That said, it is pretty; it's all liquidy amber with bright patchouli and bright fruity blackberry. There's a soft and interesting presence of wood in the drydown, mixing the dusty cashmere wood note with greenish papyrus. The whole thing is quite balanced and fresh. The price is on point for what you get. 2.5/5.

Another pleasant surprise from a celeb fragrance. I needed to come back to it after a test run because it reminded a lot of Banana Republic’s Malachite at first, which I’m not fond of. Nicole both looks and smells like a much more expensive fragrance. The Art Deco style bottle is beautiful and heavy, even the smaller sized bottle. The juice itself smells woody, fresh and earthy all at the same time. The berry and orange seem to dry too quickly for me to detect. However, I’m a lover of patchouli/amber/sandalwood, so this is right up my alley. The sillage is nice, but the longevity isn’t great. For its price I see no problem carrying a bit in a purse atomizer for touch ups.

This one smells like Glow After Dark or Kim K Gold or something of that nature. Those two are all I can think of right now but I swear it smells like something else too and I'm losing my mind trying to put my finger on it. I'll have to test it again. The bottle was ok. It felt very light. I was expecting the bottle to be heavy for some reason. Haha. I guess I wouldn't mind the small bottle. : ) Ok I too am definitely getting an Euphoria vibe from this one. Crazy! : ) I'm really getting a nice amount of patchouli from this one. Which makes it that much nicer in my opinion. Good job Nicole! : )

Nicole is a sweet, orange, amber, vanilla patchouli nicely done celebrity fragrance that is presently available at a huge discount. I have noticed the longevity is not outstanding so I layer with her body lotion and that keeps the fire going a bit longer. With the low price, it is no problem to keep dousing up as necessary. The vintage eiffel tower bottle is darling. The sugary, patchouli affect is something that I enjoy, as a patchouli lover. Lily adds sparkle and papyrus adds depth. This is a pleasing, warm, and overall likable scent that I enjoy wearing from time to time. Nice job Nicole!

This is in the same family as Mariah Carey's M fragrance. It's incensy, yet subtle sweet, little bit of spice and warmth. M is sweet marshmallow incense and this is bittersweet berry incense. And just like with M perfume, if you prefer the sweet warmth and loathe patchouli, wear it in winter weather. If you love patch wear it in the fall or end of summer. I personally hate patchouli very much so, in cold weather though it is tolerable if blended properly and it's a back bone for this fragrance rather than the whole body.
