Meidum is another luxurious fragrance from the Egyptian luxury Niche perfume house Nilafar du Nil, with a wonderful scent that captivates the senses, very elegant, unique, not harsh, but delicate like a summer breeze. A fragrance that has no equal, no matter how others try to liken it to something else, Pure ingredients mixed with high craftsmanship that indicate significant experience, the scent of lavender, cardamom, and sage are at the utmost level of refinement and tenderness. also, the metallic notes are not sharp, but rather come in a very likable style, Nutmeg and coffee add dignity. Distinctively, Olibanum, Leather and Myrrh add a special kind of depth, the gradation of notes from beginning to end is very noticeable. The fragrance is definitely masculine to the point of debauchery, suitable for spring, autumn, and may also be suitable for cold summer evenings, as a first-class fragrance for offices and closed meetings. The Pyramid of Meidum was built during the Old Kingdom during the reign of King Sneferu of the Fourth Dynasty in Meedum (2620 BC); Three mastabas currently appear from it, and it was the fifth largest pyramid in Egypt when it was built, hence the name of the fragrance. The performance of the fragrance is fairly average: - Longevity: 5 to 6 hours at the latest - Sillage: 4 to 5 hours at the latest The fragrance bottle is very luxurious and made of polished clear glass with a very distinctive metal cap. Conclusion: a luxurious, elegant fragrance that stands alone in a high place, definitely worth trying and purchasing. 9/10

I had the luxury to try this first hand. This is one of those classy timeless scents, that may not appeal much to younger generations but anyone above 30 would love this + hardly anyone can find it offensive. It starts with a blast of fine lavender well blended with citrus notes, few seconds later you immediately smell lots of spices, like a flower opening up slowly, cardamom, nutmeg, cloves (even though it's not listed but I can definitely smell it) and very very faint whifs of cinnamon maybe. I can also smell something herbaceous in it. The scent is dry but not too dry. It has a sweet under tone that balances the whole aroma pulling it away from going sour. What I like about this scent is that it's busy, it has a lot going on. I think it makes an excellent office scent and works all year round, but maybe not an evening winter scent, its more suited to mornings or maybe a summer/spring evening. This is my fav from the house so far. Would definitely buy when it's available.

Fortunately, a fragrance with an identity somewhat fitting the described imagery. I think too much has been said about individual notes, although am sure this helps certain people. For me, this was surprising in a way that helped me to feel I'd stumbled into a hidden quarter of Egyptian surroundings; as though close to a quiet, caressingly scented stone wall of a balcony, conversation in the background, but you've stepped away, calmly inhabiting yourself in the ease of the moment. Dusk and a view from above the city, a pyramid on the horizon. A momentary, sweet remembrance of youth. A sensual kiss. Lightly melancholic, yet grounded; innocently delicious.

A great fragrance for those looking for a compliment getter. A very fresh and aromatic fragrance, with lovely Lavender and a subtle refreshing citrus. Not for younger guys, perhaps 25+. It's leaning more masculine, but, some girls might find this wearable. Great performance. Excellent quality. Definitely worth a try. I'm not gonna rate it, because it is nowhere to my taste and preference,but I am enjoying it. Could be a great year round Signature scent. Could be office friendly, but just 1 spray.

Many users compare this to endymion from the house of penhaligon, but I would say that meidum is more cardamom focused compared to the aforementioned scent. However, as YSL la nuit de l’homme has proved, this is not necessarily a bad thing, and this is a very aromatic masculine fragrance that I believe has the crowd pleasing scent profile of a highly researched and perfected designer fragrance. I personally believe any age could wear this, though I can see how the opening cardamom/lavender/bergamot trifecta brings an heir of sophistication that could be associated with a fashionable late twenties or thirties individual. For the silage, I would say that Nilafar du Nil have attained an acceptable projection, and so I would guess most people would not have any qualms in this area (for myself I would say that the silage is perfect as I dislike overpowering fragrance bombs). Overall, pretty safe scent profile in terms of mass appeal, so it does not bring too much innovation, although this is expected. If I had to describe this in an abstract way, I would say a big juicy and green cardamom based scent (although this is a bit of a let down for me as I was hoping for an endymion clone). Definitely one of the better scents on the market currently, so would recommend for anyone looking for a versatile mens fragrance.
