Trajan

A very price-worthy purchase for honey fruity tobacco fan. I see the resemblance of tobacco vanille and herod but I feel this is a younger and more cheerful version. It does not have the synthetic sweetness from those cheaper fragrances. It has a juicy syrupy sweetness that is so yummy. You can imagine TF Lost Cherry + PDM Herod got married. It is unisex and more suitable for colder weather. Powerful and long-lasting. Nothing else can be asked from this price point.

Just received this, I get the similarities to Herod but to me Herod is slightly softer, at least in the opening, the tobacco note is more prominent in here as well, the cherry note is noticeable but perfectly blended to the point it's not overbearing, the dry down is absolutely gorgeous though, I get really good performance out of this one thankfully, definitely worth the price

Completely agree with the comment below me. To me, it is Herod with a prominent smoke note. Exquisite is the perfect word. Ordered 3 fragrances and they sampled me the entire available collection. This house is vastly underrated.

I first heard about Nilafar du Nil here on Fragrantica and immediately decided to blind-buy Trajan and L’Homme Fort Extrait. I’m very happy with both purchases. Trajan definitely reminds me of Herod (I feel like there’s a Roman Empire joke in there somewhere). While they’re not identical, my initial impression was that there’s a lot of similarity. If you love your bottle of Herod (like I do), and want to complement your collection with a fragrance that’s perhaps a bit fruitier and maybe a little smoky, Trajan is a wonderful option. It’s inexpensive, they ship promptly (I received my order from Egypt in less than a week), and you’ll proudly have a unique fragrance that no one else in your social circle will have. Honestly, Trajan is wonderful.

A beautiful and exotic Egyptian composition that can summarized in a simple equation: Trajan = (50% the best part of Carlisle) + (30% This is Him by Zadig & Voltaire) + (20% Herod) Moderate projection and refined sillage, so if you have no problem with tobacco and incense (not ecclesiastical at all), you can abuse the trigger, less in spring and fall. 👌🏼

Sweet slight citrus but not super sweet strong at first and fruity powdery i dont get a lot of smoke very very little i like not love tho i got it at a steal tho so im happy

Dead ringer for Herod. Period. And it'll have better longevity than new batches of Herod. And at a much better price!

DISCLAIMER: --my review is based on a sample from the sample kit,and I believe samples can smell differently,so I want to be clear onthat-- Sadly,I do not get any Cherry or Tobacco,however, I get this old school aromatic fragrance that is quite mature,and for that, I am actually enjoying it. I think for my age(35) and other factors,it works quite well for me. I think this can be a Signature scent for me. Performance seems very good,but again,I can't say for certain based on a decanter. For me it is very masculine , 26+ Once I get a bottle,I will make an update
