L'Air du Temps x Alix D. Reynis Eau de Parfum

bought for the bottle and it is beautiful. as for the scent when i first tried it, i wasnt sure i wanted to smell it on me- seemed specific, very elegant and a little mature. Then a year later, put it on which was only a few days ago, start of spring. it was surprisingly uplifting and light and elegant. turned to love.

Disclaimer: I tried it on my skin, not on paper. In the first 20 minutes or so it was really fresh, soapy and clean. However this cleanliness disappeared soon and I felt nothing but ylang ylang - it was dominant, cloying, perhaps somewhat indolic, or dirty, or maybe even felt rancid. It made me want to scratch it off, but I was curious to see what will follow on. Well, ylang ylang was quite persistent and in about 12 hours ended up smelling like puke. Perhaps this is the drydown. Endless longevity and great sillage (unfortunately for me, in this case). Perhaps the frag is not that bad, but it's certainly not for ylang ylang haters like me. Perhaps I can't detect anything else when/if I detect ylang ylang. I have to say the original L'Air du Temps is my first and great love, and it does list ylang ylang in middle tones, but strangely I don't feel it anywhere there. As for the bottle, according to the description I see, it was meant to represent "exquisite ceramic". Well, it does not look like ceramic, not to speak of being exquisite. It feels like rubber or plastic when you touch it, and from distance it looks like made of gypsum with quite uninspired motifs carved on it. To sum up, in the beginning there are some vague hints that it's a LADT flanker, but for the next many hours it is all ylang ylang.

29. April 2023 This is not the same scent as classic "L'air du temps", neither other flankers of it. It is completly new scent, which i am not impressed with. I love the original, some flankers, but this one did not impress me much. Very weak and soft musky scent, which i cannot almost detect on my skin after 30mins. Bottles is ceramic? At least the cap feels like a ceramic, but i guess it is specific type of plastic and is very plain looking and boring. The problem is, that it is so porous(material of the cap), that it gets dirty quite quickly. I cannot say anything good about this fragrance sadly. 100eur for 50ml is not worth it at all.

While similar to Narciso Pure Musk, this perfume is much better. In fact, if Pure Musk had smelled like this I may have kept it. L'air du temp x Alix makes me think of clean, white porcelain if it had a scent. Light, powdery, aldehydic, hints at sweetness and delicate heliotrope. Pretty (if almost too clean). Unique bottle and I love the deep blue packaging with stars. ✨

reminds me so much of drop d'issey it's insane, very clean scent
