Les Belles de Ricci

In case it's helpful to anyone else who was as obsessed with Les Belles de Ricci as I was (wore it for 16 years!), here are the perfumes I've bought that have close similarities.... Listya Tomata by Brocard - It has the greenness, freshness acidity and fruitiness, but with a different floral note (love it) In Love Again by YSL - Has some of the same freshness and notes, but is less tangy and more sweet. Very wearable (love it!) Hedonist Cassis by Viktoria Minya - Very sharp blackcurrant that gives a similar (more extreme and less sweet) acidity that really reminds me of Les Belles. (love it!) Grain de Folie by Gres - This is Les Belles, but with added vanilla. On first spray I thought I'd found the holy grail, but sadly the dry down made it unbearable for me because I hate vanilla in perfume. :)

After reading the comment below , i was very excited to rush straight to "royalstore.com" . . .8 euros - Bargain i thought , as this perfume is now very expensive on Uk ebay , and isnt avail anywhere else. Royalstore.com DOES look like a legit shop and i quickly clicked on the "designer perfumes sale" tab , grinning with happiness that a btl of Les Belles will soon be mine .....But Alas , my happiness is ruined .....The perfume sale page has no ACTUAL perfume for sale , in fact it is just a page full of links to well known perfume sale sites. . . . . Advertising nonsense and a waste of bandwidth IMO I wonder if this is one of those "affiliate" schemes and people who get the links out there get 0.0001p for every click recieved. NOT amused!!!

I finally got to do a side by side test with my old bottle of Les Belles Liberty Fizz and Herbae L'Occitane en Provence. They’re really quite similar despite having such different notes! Herbae is a bit more syrupy but along with Brocard Tomato and Blackcurrant, Herbae is as close to Les Belles as you can get. Herbae is obviously way more expensive but it is much stronger than the Brocard one and lasts much longer. For a cheap and easy to find perfume that has a bit of a Liberty Fizz vibe it’s also worth checking out Elizabeth Arden’s Green Tea Pomegranate :)

GOOD NEWS FANS !!! A new dupe house called Jubilee Fragrances - UK based , are doing this !!! I've ordered it and I'm so happy I could cry. Acceptable dupe that has brought me great joy..... I can't say if it's identical cos I ain't got the OG to compare. ...It brought back a flood of emotion/nostalgia/happiness/memories. This has been my frag Unicorn for YEARS!! They are also doing Boudoir and many many other much loved and missed vintages!!! Oh I nearly forgot. Their prices are v reasonable!! Not from the company - Just a VERY HAPPY frag head!!!

I have a small mini of this cute perfume! I gotta say it was a mistake to discontinue Les Belles :( I hope one day it can be rereleased even if it's in a different bottle! Les Belles reminds me of a green Caterpillar in a garden full of greens and fruits! Fresh tomato plants, mint leaves, sweet berries and some flowers growing near the vegetable fruit garden! When the notes all come together it's like a mint and sweet fruit tea on a warm sunny day :) very happy and unique scent! Please NR bring this one back!

I absolutely LOVED this back in the day when it was released .It VERY hard to find now. The Blue and Yellow bottled versions are much easier to come by. Some say its "Sour" , IT does not suit everyone. But i agree with the lady 3 places above - Yes - Fruity but not sickly sweet fruitiness's . Many of today's sweet scents are too cloying on a hot day. This scent is very refreshing , i love the unusual notes of tomato/mint/cucumber. Can anyone recommend anything that smells similar to this please ?

If you are thinking of getting the Jubilee dupe, get the sample first. I regretfully bought a big bottle, and although a little reminiscent of Les Belles on first spritz, on my skin it dried down to a very cloying perfume smell within seconds. I’m not getting any of the Les Belles notes like tomato or raspberry. Very disappointing. Hopefully it’s a skin chemistry thing and you all have better luck with it.

I wore this as a teenager. My family used to go on holiday to Scotland each year and this scent became associated with those holidays. So this is a nostalgic and emotional scent for me and I’d love to smell this again. I remember it being a lovely green fruity scent. Wasn’t a cheap teen scent at all. I think I’d def still enjoy this now and it would transport me back to happy memories of the past.

Cult of the Liberty Fizz crew , listen up! On the home page now Is an article about Naf Nafs new perfume set. Looks very inspired by this 90s Nina set. The green one is called MAGIC FIZZ and even has tomato leaf!! I'm hoping it's going to be a dupe. The other bottles in this new collection are similar to the other 90s Nina's too..... OMG please let MAGIC FIZZ be a dupe please !!!!

I miss this fragrance so much. I am yet to find a dupe for the perfume, however the brand Skandinavisk, make a range of products called Fjord, which smell remarkably similar. They make a candle, body wash, hand wash etc. There is no tomato in Fjord but It's the closest I have smelled to Les Belles. Please Nina Ricci. Bring back this iconic fragrance.

I had this as a teen and wish it was still available. I've just bought a sample of the Jubilee scents version and it's the closest I've got to the original, it doesn't have the initial 'fizziness' of the original but I find the longer I wear it the more it smells like the original, so I'll be getting a larger bottle.

Fizzy, fruity, green, fresh and invigorating. I love this a lot. Perfect for summer. And perfect for all ages. I particularly love the tomato leaf scent of it that's wrapped in a citrus raspberry sherbet cloud. Just gorgeous. Jubilee scents in the UK do a wonderful dupe which I have stocked up on.

This was my favourite perfume in the 90s and I really wish they had not discontinued it. I have bought old bottles off eBay but they have gone very vinegary due to shelf life. Please bring this back Nina Ricci!

I wore this as a 16 year old in the 90’s and I loved it. I remember it being a sweet, fun and quirky scent. I support all the other comments saying bring it back. I just want this back in my collection.

I wrote to United Colors and Prestige Perfumes, asking them to to consider bringing back Liberty Fizz. Just on the off chance!

I loved so much this fragance when i was younger ! It was very pleasant. Unfortunately, no way to find it now... Very sad.

Please please PLEASE if there’s anybody who can and who is reading this: Bring this masterpiece back 😔

For anyone looking for a potential "dupe", I have a suggestion. I used to wear this ALL the time when I was 16 back in 1996. My scent tastes moved in a very different direction over the years and I admit I've not given it much thought since then. Today I received a sample of Musc Amarante by L'Atelier Parfumeur which I ordered because I was intrigued by its description of having earthy beetroot notes. Well, I sprayed it on me and it has an initially very prominent earth note indeed. but lurking behind it was something very familiar. I couldn't put my finger on it but I new it absolutely reminded me of my teenage years and a scent I used to wear all the time. I know it is a beetroot note however once I thought about it as I kept smelling it, a sweet tomato scent that was "green" was what was emerging to me. So I searched for perfumes with a tomato note and low and behold, a picture of that neon green bottle and hot pink lid was staring back at me halfway down the page. BAM! The memories of that perfume and my 16 year old self came flooding back to me. The memory of Les Belles De Ricci was exactly what I was smelling under the earthiness. Unfortunately I have only my own, fallible memory telling me it is so as I cannot smell Les Belles to compare, but I urge anyone to seek out Musc Amarante and see if they agree. Now, it's no total dupe because of the earthy, damp note - and some people may hate that - but I think it's worth looking into. L'Artisan parfumeur will send you two samples from their site for the cost of shipping (£5.50) if you are in the UK, or I have also seen them in Harrods Beauty stores. Not sure where else you can sample their stuff.

I used to have a 90s miniature (while my mom had the bigger bottle) and boy, did it leave a strong smell on the tips of my fingers! The scent wouldn't come off no matter how much I'd wash my hands. I can't recall too much spiciness being there because my nose immediately detected raspberry and became addicted to it but I certainly remember some lovely fresh minty notes. The scent was crystal clear, a tad bit sour and joyfully playful. I guess I can call it a "young" scent but what a difference it is to Nina, which is also a "young" scent but a very sweet one. How wonderful would it be if Les Belles were released once again even as a limited edition range. Hard to find for a good price now unfortunately.

One of the first perfumes I got myself at some duty free store while traveling with my parents as a teenager. GOD I loved this perfume so much, that I hardly used it at all and still have most of it. At this time it's not exactly to my taste anymore, too fruity and fresh, almost girlish, but I do love opening the bottle from time to time and smelling my youth haha! Never realized there was tomatoleaf and basil in it, what a unique scent!

So happy I got to try this at a vintage collectors, it’s indeed sweet and freshly sour, tons of raspberry with the green backing, crisp apple and lime as a scent, clean and soapy, and then the slightly dusty interesting tomato leaf note. Nostalgic scent of the 90s/2000s for sure. Yes showergel. Gives me a headache as with so many perfumes with clean notes.

It is a very light perfume, it was not easy to get! Usually I use it in very hot summer nights, at first in my skin I smell oranges and mint with some jasmine in the background .. to settle becomes something masculine ..

This is one sour fragrance. It's somehow unsettling. There is something I can't put my finger on in this one, something that shouldn't be there. Anyway, it's sour and sharp, not at all what I was hoping for. It's neither fresh nor provoking thoughts of summer.

Another unique fragrance that quickly fell in the "Why was this discontinued?" category. I'm not familiar with Nina Ricci fragrances at all, but I bought this one a few years ago (long after it had been discontinued) based on aesthetics (I love the bottle) and the unusual combination of notes. It's a very green fragrance, but not "Green Tea" green. On me, tomato leaf and basil pop up immediately and stay. I can't really detect anything else, nor do I want to, because I bought it exactly for those two notes. The bottle and cap are extremely cute (I have the opaque lime green one) and I honestly think this is a timeless fragrance, because it's so unusual and it can appeal to people at all times. I haven't found any dupes, but to be honest I haven't searched for dupes either, as I still have half a precious bottle left of this. It's the only fragrance from "Les Belles" line that I've tried/have, but I can definitely say it's a stand out on its own. Such a shame it has been discontinued for so long.

is a pitty you cant find on any road. I imagine myself going to the grogery and smell that great mixed aromas at the end of the summer and going to the gas station and simply buy this one. is cheap is perfect to countinue a good mood that the freshness of the day gave me. I cand stand without this, I miss the fragrance, I need to buy it just to feel lhat tomato incredible good mixed with freesia and mint. is nothing like that is like feeding yourself from a fresh vegetables garden wich is unique in the world of fragrances where you mostly can find floral, citrus or oriental scent all together

I don't know if there is any difference between Liberte Acidulee in the clear bottle and the one in the frosted bottle, but the one I own says "Liberte Acidulee" and is in a clear bottle. That is the one I am reviewing (if there is any difference). This is an ecstatically fresh and happy fragrance. The peppery and organic-smelling tomato flower paves the green, sunny path to summery goodness and fresh, clean skin. I smell mostly freesia, basil, and tomato with a tiny little bit of fuzzy raspberry. Very cute and feminine without being cloying or girly.

Last time when I had that perfume I was 22 years old I guess its usual stuff to get a perfume from the times when you was young beautiful, happy and free. So I got it(not without difficulties, but all is possible on ebay) and - in a frosted bottle - AGAIN! And it still has same influence on me as before Fresh tomato leaves with raspberries!!! Mint and basil, sweet and sour, - charming. Never had anything similar. Girlish bottle but not candy-like smell. As before lasts about 8 hours.

Liberte Acidulee is so joyful, naughty and freshy. Start with strong Tomato leaf but then vanished to cloying floral note. Remind me for 15 yrs old girl Who wants to choose her first cologne. If it has re-continued. I wish it would reformula with more Tomato leaf and fruitty note. Project : 8/10 mostly on Tomato leaf and Rasberry. Sillage : 6/10 it's stay for 2-3 hours. Design : 9/10 The bottle is so lovely!

I guess this is the first perfume that I really liked since I was a kid back then. Initially I was drawn to the bright colors of the bottle of course. But I really liked the scent. Must've been the only Nina Ricci I liked from the ones that I've smelled. I guess it's also the only green sour scent I ever liked. And no, never got a bottle unfortunately.

This is my all time favorite and i have messaged Nina Ricci several times re bringing this back. For over 20 years i am searching for a dupe and trying various combinations, but nothing gets me close... 2026 will be the 30th anniversary, which is such a great occasion for NR to bring it back... Maybe they just lost the recipe and cannot replicate :)))

I found this at goodwill for $7 in a gift set of nina ricci splash minis and this was the only one I liked. This smells like raspberries and dirty laundry to me :( I'm not sure if it smelled like that because it might have been expired, but it doesn't smell that good enough for me to wear it again. The bottle looks really cool though.

Another trip down memory lane... I remember this was the first perfume I bought for myself (not Sexy Graffiti). I adored the rather tart topnotes, before it settled into a sweeter base. It was fruity - but it was done in a fresh way, not a sugary, cloying way.

I literally just emailed the customer support team of Nina ricci asking them to re release this gem in its original formula. Maybe if more of us ask them in email they will have enough user data to start producing it again

I loved this in my teen years. I've found a company in UK who has recreated it and it's smells exactly as I remember . Think this was the first ever tomato scent I ever owned or smelt. Was ahead of it's time

can confirm the jubilee dupe is 100% accurate. and i wouldn’t normally push a dupe house but this fragrance is long discontinued so if you love it, now you can get it

I don't find it sour, it is very nice for summer, as it is not too sweet or heavy, and still is pleasantly feminine and a little girlish :) also very comforting :)

After years and years of hoping for a revival, I've bought the Jubilee dupe which is lovely. So lovely to smell those notes after so many years

This green snail is full of fresh notes combinated with right amount of spicy notes. Femine and fresh. Very good for summer

It smells very soapy and similar to male aftershave. A very parfumey tomato leaf note.
