Les Sorbets de Nina

At first, this perfume had me a little nervous. I blind-bought it, so I really wasn't sure what to expect. The first moments of the spray have a really odd, slightly off-putting scent that I can't really describe. This had me pretty worried. However, the odd scent cleared up after a few minutes and gave way to a strong citrus. For a while, I could only smell the lemon notes. After that, though, it morphed into this enchanting, sweet, fruity smell. Other reviews list raspberry lemonade and berry sorbet as references, I think both of these are pretty apt. It smells like a refreshing, citrus snack on a hot day. So, I would absolutely recommend! Don't let the initial smell throw you off, I promise it gets better!

Ok ... I need to update this review. I actually have grown to love this scent. Its a delicious sorbet treat on a hot summers day. I feel kind of foolish for dismissing it so quickly apon first smell. I just needed to give it time. It did take a couple days for that to happen (interestingly enough), but when it did WOW. This scent evokes the original Nina Nina Ricci scent, but has its berry sorbet loveliness which I finally understand, and appreciate. Just goes to show that you have to give these things time.

So far I am disappointed. I agree with the statements below that its just goes too full force into citrus town. I don't smell any praline either. This frag smells a lot like Hidden Fantasy by Britney Spears, with that orange creamsicle aspect to it.(To be honest I prefer that scent to this) But it decides to abandon that with this hardcore zest which I am not vibing with. Well that was an expensive mistake as I had to order this from out of my country which doesn't carry this line.

This....is a perfumey perfume at first sniff. There is this dense cloud of.....something in the opening that is odd to me. The lemon is there too but almost as if it was squeezed on top of the rest of the scents. But once it settles it smells just like lemonade! It gets sweeter and there’s a fun raspberry aspect to it. It has close to no projection and lasts less then 30 minutes, however, so I think this is one of those “here for a good time not a long time” scents. It feels like dancing in the grass at golden hour.

Smells like orange cream desserts. Very pleasant, unfortunately it doesn't last long

My least favourite of the 3 Sorbets , and I bought them all blindly . Surely the bottle is adorable , probably the best of all 3! But the scent is a citrus mixture that goes into gourmand territory at first sniff , just to turn back citrusy all the way and full force until the end . I don’t smell any praline .... I think the scent doesn’t match the pink bottle at all . A full , sprayed twice 80 ml bottle is available for swap if you are in Canada .

This is lovely. It smells like raspberry lemonade! It fizzes and sparkles, and the top and middle notes really shine. It smells very bright and cheerful. I'm sure I'll love it more when it isn't super cold out... I'm not a huge fan of the dry down, which is sort of a harsh citrus. Maybe in the summer, I'll feel differently.
