L'Extase Caresse de Roses

This is a lovely rose. Rose is one of my favorite notes, so I had high hopes for this (a blind buy), and I wasn't disappointed. It's lighter than the original L'extase. I would say this is a cross between Chloe and Stella McCartney, both beautiful roses. It has a bit of the freshness and smells very clean (though not at all soapy like Chloe) on the dry down, but the rose is richer like Stella, but less musky than Stella. This is a more modern rose. The original L'extase seems more mature and traditional. This would be appropriate for any age and really any environment-- it's interesting and a bit sexy but still clean and office safe. This is unique, and I'm really happy to have this. It's good from start to finish, though strong at first. My favorite part is the dry down. It has good projection and longevity. It's not a beast mode scent, but it lasts several hours with projection, and I can still smell a skin scent at the end of the day. I'll continue collecting roses, and this still isn't in my top spot (that is Aerin Rose de Grasse), but this is definitely a beautiful rose fragrance.

This can be the spring version of original L'extase.I can definitely see similarities between them,rosey and sweet raspberry gene is in both,but original L'extase is much more sweeter and warmer.it has a gourmand delight quality which is absent in L'extase caresse or if there,it's very faint,still new version is sweet but not in a gourmand praline way.it's fruity sweet and I can pick up sweet raspberrychouli blending with musky florals,lots of rose and peony and a sheer powdery veil of violets Nina ricci L'extase caresse is a very pretty sister of original extase.it's rosey,delicately sweet,sparkling,feminine and has a touch of freshness and powdery quality beneath it's sweetness. I see it a spring scent but it's easily wearable all seasons expect cold winters.it's a day perfume while original is better for nights.longevity and sillage are both less than original but still good and it's bottle is breathtakingly pretty Highly recommend to rose lovers,or to whoever is looking for a L'extase for hot months ❤❤❤❤

Strangely enough, to me Caresse has nothing to do with the original Extase. Nothing. Apart the bottle's shape. I was very excited to try this one out. When the time had come,... boo. Nothing. And I tried it again. Still nothing. It's all about roses and reminds me of YSL's Paris. Pleasant, nice but nothing exceptional. And I went for it a third time again. Couldn't accept that I love L'Extase and cannot catch this one. And then it bloomed into my face. It's like a velvet, cashmere silk on the skin. You cannot grap or catch it. It's lingering around you. It's sensual, beautiful, georgous. Like Laetitia Casta modelling for L'Extase (sounds cheesy perhaps, but this is what came to my mind instantaneously). Soft rose with a powdery touch done by the musk. I couldn't stop sniffing my wrist. I am in love.

I love it but if olny it lasted on my skin... after two hours on me i’ts barely there... so sad since it is a great, fresh rose. Not common to smell her this pure.

In 2016, following a worldwide trend, the brand decided to launch a lighter version of more diurnal appeal. However, instead of launching a perfume named L'Extase Eau de Toilette, decided to invest in a fragrance with a higher concentration of essential oils and floral composition. L'Extase Caresse de Roses was born in Eau de Parfum Légère concentration. Again, Francis Kurkdjian was the perfumer responsible for the task of giving life to a fragrance that continues telling the story of the woman who reaches the climax and exhales desire, even during the day. The official composition brings Bulgarian rose essence, at the top, making way for a floral heart of rose's absolute from Turkey, violets and peonies, on a base of white musk. On the skin, L'Extase Caresse de Roses is sensuality in a bottle. It is a floral bouquet of roses that walks through the various tones of the flower, such as the innocent side, the opulent and the metallic. The peonies help to propagate such an impression, but the violet gives it a dry softness, which becomes sweet for a few moments. And the white musk, used in great quantity, ends up conferring that milky and sensual floral aspect, which serves more as a backdrop and helps in longevity than anything else. Oddly enough, even with totally different compositions, the comparisons are true: L'Extase Caresse de Roses has an olfactory path very similar to the J'adore EDP fragrance. However, it is worth remembering that the similarity is great during some stages of evolution, but they are not identical. This one from Nina Ricci has a lot more roses content and evolves a bit more than the other, from Dior. I think the two are quite versatile, but this one is more discreet (less projection) and this is a point to be taken by women who care about the use of perfumes indoors, as in the professional environment. The bottle of this version has gained lighter paint, resulting in a kind of translucent nude, in addition to bringing a pendant inspired by the bracelet "Calisto", which was designed by Guillaume Henry for his first ready-to-wear collection.

This fragrance opens with a horrifically strong citrusy note. I actually almost gave it away as that opening was very scary haha. But I left it on me and actually grew to like the drydown a lot! Don’t sniff as soon as you spray! Anyways, I definitely get the pear/bergamot in the opening! It’s very sweet yet acidic. I was strongly reminded of j’adore. It has that same airy feeling, with a fruity/floral thing going on. Yet I found it softer and not as headache inducing as j’adore (I like it don’t get me wrong but smth in it gave me migraines). This one is still very strong so don’t overspray!! One spray is enough to project and the longevity is excellent (6-7 hours on me before it stays as a skin scent). The scent does change 30 min after sprayed, it becomes more “rosy” with a light touch of raspberry and soft musk. This is a very fresh perfume regardless of the musk, and I think you have to like fruits in your perfume (I.e. rose, peony) to like this one. If you liked narciso poudree but wanted a rose musk that’s not as strong or powdery, this one is good for that! I also think this will shine more in the spring or summer, it’s a bit flat (something about the fruits or musk) in fall/winter. For colder seasons, i would go with a gourmand or a warmer/spicier perfume. This one does remind me a bit of rose extase but has a different vibe. Not at all like l’extase except that initial opening (I think). I think if you liked any of the perfumes in this collection, this one would be a safe buy. They are all similar in what they are going for (makes sense since they are made by the same perfumers), yet you could find a place for all of them in your collection. The bottle is also very pretty for the people who like to collect/display stuff like that. It looks fancy and like you spent lot of money on it. I wouldn’t pay over 50 dollars on this though:) it is discontinued but you should be able to find it online.

I have the original L'Extase as well as Rose Extase. I love those two. L'Extase Caresse de Roses is my least favourite of the three, although I am not ready to mark it as a firm "dislike", since fragrances tend to grow on me over time. Caresse de Roses does share some similarities with the original version, but it lacks the sweetness, depth, and complexity, which is what I loved so much about the original. On me, the opening is a cold sharp floral that could be headache-inducing. As it develops, I can detect a barely-there hint of sweetness underlying the cool floral. The dry-down is less abrasive, but not worth enduring the first two stages. I am really disappointed because the original L'Extase is currently my favourite sent. I had high hopes for this one. I was expecting a smoother creamier floral, not something so crisp and "perfumey". I am hoping that this fragrance wears differently in warmer weather. Right now, it is a cold snowy day in April here in Canada. I'll revisit this fragrance in later spring and summer, and will update this review if my impression changes. P.S. This reminds me of Estée Lauder Pleasures, which I wore in middle school to feel grown-up. But take this with a grain of salt, because I haven't smelled Pleasures in about 20 years. EDIT: I can't believe it is growing on me. Wore it on a warmer day after a shower. Felt fresh and clean. I think it has its place in my collection after all.

How the HECK does this smell SO much like "L'extase"?! Look, I know that sounds idiotic. Seeing as this is a flanker and they all made by FKD. Yeah, I get that. BUT - It has the same, *very distinctive* DNA of the original, but the only notes they have in common are: - pear - rose - vanilla - patchouli Which - as far as I can tell - are the very same notes that every single modern perfume release has anyway. Yet neither of them smells like other releases on the market except those from within this line. What is this witchcraft?! The differences, then? This is indeed lighter with no deep caramel. It took me forever and a day to realise what this combination this smells exactly like. Listen, Reader, I'll tell you: This is a mixture of "L'extase" OG and... Kenzo's "Flower in the Air". Facts. You can't convince me otherwise. I was initially underwhelmed when I first smelled this (as I was with "Flower in the Air"), but it has grown on me in recent months (as above). Loving this range. May have ordered "Rose Extase" and "Chant d'Extase" already. Sadly, longevity is decent, but not great, and sillage only exists if you empty half the bottle onto you and your pile of laundry. But as a rose scent, I bloody enjoy it! 🌹 Borderline repurchase-worthy (borderline being if you already have one in this line you love, then perhaps don't need this as well). *** Kitty rating: 7.5/10.

This goes on very heavy and the first couple of hours it's a bit too much for me. Then it calms down to a sensual warm floral. After 12 hours I can still smell it on my skin but I think I smell mostly roses then. The description above says it is the lighter interpretation of L'Extase but it's hard to imagine something heavier than this. I'd say this was for date night with the husband. I've worn this during the day but I use just the lightest spray of L'Extase Caresse de Roses then spray L'air du Temp over it.

Mmclean, I have tried L'Extase Caresse de Roses already (Sephora, Czech Republic). I would describe it - it's like the first L'Extase but without that depth and dark side. I find it sweet (but not too sweet), it's nice rose with peony with hint of musk. It would be nice spring scent, bottle is also very pretty. Longevity and sillage are very good. If you like the first L'Extase, you will like this one too! :)

I prefer the original. This reminds me for some reason of J'Adore, which I really like. It's very fresh, sparkling and it screams spring. However the gourmand rose in l"Extase appeals to me much more.

Hard not to love this raspberry rosy patchouli scent. Versatile w/good lasting power and safe blind buy.

Original L'Extase is wonderful fragrance and I am looking forward to try this one :)

A lighter version of L'extase, I would say a summer edition, without the gourmand touch of the original that gives L'extase that smokey sweet vibe, it misses the benzoin and the caramel, and instead, it has peony, musk, and lily-of-the-valley in the background, with more pronounced pear that creates similarities with J'adore! I've never been a fan of J'adore, and if I have to choose between both I would probably go with this fragrance, but as I am a sweet-gourmand lover and don't love lily-of-the-valley as a note in perfumery, I would stick with L'extase for the colder months and Rose Extase for the warmer months. If someone is a fan of J'adore but wants something more joyful with peony touch, this would be a great option, again this is a fresh, more green version of the other 2 I've mentioned, with moderate sillage and average longevity, absolutely great for the hottest days of the year.

From all the flankers of L'extaze this is the weaker. The smell is a sparkly, champagne rose, fresh aquatic very nice for spring and summer. But it performance is bad. After 2 hours it's gone. Even if I spray myself 8-10 times or I spray on the clothes it doesn't last. But ,oh well, what can I expect? After all its says on the packaging Eau de Toilette LEGERE 😁

Well, I have the original one and yesterday I saw this one in the shop so I have tried, but for me is almost exactly the same as the original L'extase. The only difference is maybe that this one is not as sweet but for me too similar to buy it and behind the rose there is something...what smells bad for me. Maybe turkish rose I don't know..

I can't appreciate it. To me it just screams: peony, peony, peony! I don't like that super strong peony note in it. There's some rose as well, but it's mild compared to peony. Matter of taste, but a definite NO for me. Way too floral for my taste.

Almost like Rose Extase, only with noticeable pear. Not my type.

Just bought it and it's wonderful!! It's attractive, but not in a mysterious way like L'extase, but in a dreamy, sweet way. The rose fragrance is strong, but not plain. For me, it's a very seductive perfume, it's very fit for a young female who is strong but also wants to show her playful side, in a alluring way rather that immature. It's ideal for warm days of autumn or even spring. I'm so proud I got it. The bottle is such a playful thing because of those chains that L'extase doesn't have, so I ressemble myself like a cat playing with her toy..guilty pleasures :">

I love this perfume and it has joined the ranks of my all time favourite fragrances. I do hope that Nina Ricci continues to offer it for a long time. It was a chance find when I was looking for another perfume. A friend who collects perfume bottles is counting down the days for when I finish my first bottle as she also loves the bottle. Me? I adore the romantic fragrance which reminds me of a romantic happy sunny day in France when walking through a rose garden with my beloved late husband. This perfume is magic and warm and gorgeous

Fast fading love: a lovely scent that lasts the blink of an eye. A cross between J'adore Dior and Nina Ricci L'extase. Good sillage as long as it lasts...The least persistent of the whole line, unfortunately. If you like J'adore, you will love this one. The first time I wore this one I could not believe it, after 1.5h I could barely smell it. In comparison, J'adore lasts way longer, so I was very surprised about the weak performance of this perfume.

I tried this in a shop. I own l'extase but they are wo different perfumes. The original is more musky and powdery meanwhile this one is very very soft floral. Nothing common at all. Definately suits for spring time. It is very youthful however it has poor sillage and longevity. So i will pass.

A fusion of OG Extase and Dior J adore. So far I love all the Extases I've smelled. This one isn't as creamy as Rose Extase, not as sweet as OG Extase. A bit fruitier, I find the whole line to be quite complex, well balanced and just so well made 😍

Warm, soft and powdery rose fragrance. Clean and nice, but boring. It is not gradma like, but too safe and inoffensive. Doesn’t project well, but longevity is ok. I would recommend it to someone looking for something comfy. A new mom, maybe.

I am super excited about this, being a big L' Extase fan. Although here in Greece it's gonna take a while before it's available in the department stores. And the bottle, wow! It's even better than the original, as if that was even possible!

Cheaper version of J'adore from Dior, the original one. It's nice and feminine. It develops wonderfully from bulgarian rose smell to creamy, rich, close to skin charming scent. Recommend it. It's half the price of j'adore and just as good.

I really hope this version will still have that beautiful Turkish Delight scent that I am madly in love with in the original L'Extase. Will still buy it purely for the beautiful bottle either way.

The scent is not as good as the original. It is lighter, possibly less rosy (despite the name) and has a floral fruity touch - peony I'm guessing. It doesn't last as long either.

I am dying to smell this! Can't seem to find it in Canada yet...anyone had any luck? (It's almost April and I thought it was to be released in March?) Thx! :)

My opinion: smells like dead roses, something morbid... brrrrrrrrrr.... Not sexy at all.

This perfume just screams SPRING to me!
