Nina Illusion

'♐︎♎︎♊︎ i see sag, libra and gemini girls in this one wow. in the very beginning – like the first 30 minutes, i clearly smell wild strawberry, even though it's not officially listed in the notes. i also noticed a difference between bottle sizes. first, i got the 30ml, and in that one the pepper note stood out more, and the scent lasted all day (not super diffusive by evening, but still very present). with the 100ml, i get more patchouli right from the start – but weirdly enough, it doesn’t last as long as my 30ml bottle... overall, this is a very polite, well-balanced perfume. honestly, i’d say it’s a blindsafe purchase. to me, it smells like summer in 2006. like my mom. like warmth. and vacation. it’s a lovely scent – neither a basic fruity-sweet vibe nor a harsh pepper bomb. just really harmonious. i also tested it next to my way, and my way floral didn’t work for me at all. they’re definitely different. illusion feels lighter and more beautiful (for me personally! no offense to my way fans 😅).

Citrusy, sweet, you really get the fruity notes with this one. I received a sample of this fragrance and I'm waiting to buy the full bottle, it's really easy to like and I find that the orange blossom note really sticks out the entire time you've got this on. It lasts a good 4-6 hours with medium projection. You can't really go wrong with a fruity/citrusy-sweet fragrance, if you're into La Vie Est Belle I'd give this one a shot as well.

Sweet as a candy but in a good, cute way. Totally summer perfume for me. Longevity is pretty nice, I smelled it a little bit from my hair even after washing. Sillage is average - I could smell it well the whole day but it wasn't overwhelming. I probably won't buy it 'cause I don't need a summer perfume right now but maybe sometimes...

Um cheiro muito fresco e doce ao mesmo tempo apesar de ter um pouco de amargura se deram burrifadas a mais, mas de resto é extremamente agradável , tem um cheiro íntimo na minha opinião quem sentar por perto com certeza irá sentir, recomendo para quem gosta de cheiros doces mas nada pesado e sim um doce fresco 🥰

The scent itself is quite delicious, it reminded me of my way. However, longevity disappointed me :( It does not leave a trace on my skin after three hours.

An apple without apples..BUT beautiful scent. Raspberry and some sort of citruses, fresh, juicy, crispy. As Nina Ricci is not recognisable. Could be scent of almost any brand that creates vibrant, youthful, easy-going fruitchulies like Juicy Couture, Escada, Missoni.

A very fun, vibrant, juicy explosion. Lighter, more effervescent than My Way or Paradoxe. Beautiful drydown of deep orange blossom with hints of Bourbon vanilla and patchouli. Overall, a very nice creation, not my style, but still lovely.

What can even be said about Nina Illusion? Coming from a house that created the famously beautiful L’Air du Temps... What a fall from grace. Obviously, this is a boring and vapid release with little to no substance or reason for existing. Does it smell nice? Yes, I suppose it does, and if that’s all you’re looking for then that’s absolutely fine. But I find myself wanting more. The scent is a sweet, bubblegummy fruity affair focused around the combination of raspberry and orange blossom. Sweet vanilla and an array of citruses are also present in support. Overall it’s a pleasant scent, very feminine and surprisingly youthful from a house such as this. I wouldn’t mind smelling it on someone else, but for me it lacks character and interest unfortunately.

I get a tart and bitter raspberry note up front, accented by pink pepper and a hint of citrus. As it dries down, it leans more towards a mature fragrance, likely due to the presence of patchouli in the base.

There is a very disturbing note from beginning to end, I did not like it.

I thought the reviews were exaggerating as some reviews on this site tend to be overly negative. Y'all... this is terrible. I don't know how they came up with such an offensive scent with those "simple" or "easy" notes. As the reviewer below said, there's something really odd at the opening of this fragrance and the drydown isn't helping out either. The bottle is beautiful, I'll give it that.

I wonder what consumer panel this chemical mess has passed. To be avoided!

I want to get this as a gift but don't really know what to think, thought the design was acceptable, but seeing what the Reed person chose to do, shoe lace and plastic on a bottle design, makes me think its not elegant enough in person to present as a gift. As for the scent I was always told their offerings used to be good, but recently it appears reviewers describe their scents, like last years Nina, as "synthetic" without a single hint of Apple even though it was mainly comprised of its notes. Their description for this new Illusion perfume doesn't boost confidence either with such illustrative choice words such as "Conscious" and "Up-cycled", its hard to figure out if they are just at a lack of words in describing their product or are truly selling thoughtfully rebottled recycled squeezed byproduct from lemonade processing plants. But given Nina's review, there might not be a hint of Lemon after all.

To be fair, I bought this mainly for the enchanting bottle, but the scent itself is quite pleasant. However, it’s a predictable fragrance, with similarities to My Way EDT, My Way Floral, and Prada Paradoxe. This feels like a lighter, fresher, and more citrusy take on that scent profile. Nina Illusion smells very bubbly and girly, like sweet, citrusy bubblegum. The longevity and sillage were pretty good—lasting about 7 hours on my skin and leaving a lovely scent trail.

Dang I usually don't buy Nina Ricci scents because the longevity isn't the best and I prefer darker accords usually. But this? This looks made for my taste definitely. Very interested in this one, not to mention the bottle is gorgeous. All of her bottles are but this one is top 3.

I love Nina Ricci apple scents, so I'm always excited to see a new flanker hit the martket! This one has a very pretty bottle. Note-wise, did not expect to see patchuli and pink pepper..

Very sweet and a bit synthetic. Opens fruity and almost candy-like and dries down to a soft vanilla sweetness. The bottle is cute but the juice is generic. Longevity is good.

I usually think it’s annoying to post before anyone can even smell the perfume but I am absolutely drooling over this bottle omg

I don't even care what it smells like, I am in love with this beautiful bottle.
