Nina Rouge

This is sooo pretty! I received this as a gift, I must admit that I never was interested in Nina Ricci fragrances, they just never appealed to me, but now I will surely reconsider. It's a cute, lovely fragrance. This is how I'd describe it. It's not sexy or sultry or really sweet imo, it's a very uplifting, girly, springtime scent. This smells just like candied fruity jelly beans. It's a bit sweet and a bit sour, I cannot smell the caramel. It's also flowery and fruity with some tartness in it. I don't think this is creamy, for me, this has a little sharpness from the slight sourness, but omg this is such a youthful happy scent. And the bitten apple gives me Snow White fairytale vibes! The little girl in me is so happy to own this, this smells like a happy childhood memory to me, even though this is the first time I smell it. It just gives such good vibes, I will definitely always have a place in my collection for this perfume from now on.

Everybody has their own interpretation of perfume. That's part of the joy reading reviews because they are always so varied, sometimes nostalgic, sometimes unpleasant, but each analysis is highly interesting whether you agree or not. My first impression of Nina Rouge was so much fun and here's why. It reminds me of the smell of those oblong donuts you find in home bakeries which are dusted in caster sugar, filled with a ripple of buttercream straight down the middle and topped with a proud dollop of strawberry syrup. Or sometimes perhaps the sweet buttery shortcrust pastry on a warm apple pie with Chantilly cream. It's not something I wish to smell like every day, but when I am feeling light-hearted or need a pick me up, I will reach for this gal on my way to the patisserie. I get between 4-6 hours wear with an intimate to moderate projection. P.S., the bottle is gorgeous!

I’m certain I have done a review on this before but I wanted to do another since my now third bottle of this is down to the last few sprays. I absolutely love this. This is probably my first vanilla/caramel/spicy type fragrance that I have absolutely fallen in love with. Fresh/clean aquatics are my primary jam and then fruity comes in second. So when I smelled this and loved it and saw the notes I was like no way I just couldn’t believe it. This is undeniably so fruity, so creamy, and so so so wearable that I literally will be buying my FOURTH bottle of it probably this week!!! There are several fragrances in the Nina Ricci brand that I do enjoy, but THIS and Luna Blossom are number one and two respectively! Great fragrance!

Why does it remind me of apple pie, even though there's nothing distinctly apple pie-ish about it? Spicy ginger, sweet caramel, and so juicy and crunchy- it was love at first spritz! The perfect autumn perfume for me, it makes me instantly cheerful, and i can not get enough of it. I wore it all last summer looking forward to wearing it in colder weather, so i can smell it on me and warm me up. I was pleasantly surprised at its longevity and projection as well, it does a better job than many EdP on the market these days! Love love love!

It is so simple yet so powerful. this is sensual and mysterious but also sweet- I guess I am describing the fragrance wearer but seriously I wasn't into it at all but after an hour or two I am definitely liking it a lot and I think it is because of the gardenia note which I adore so much in fragrances. It is a definite winner because it is such a likable scent- 9/10 -however because it lacks a bit of power in projection I have to give it an 8. Overall really beautiful.

The opening is very sour/tart, fresh and fruity, whereas the dry down brings out a caramel like sweetness. I feel like you cant go wrong with this, no one will ever think you smell bad or weird since the character is not too strong. I'm however still indesicive if I think the scent is too juvenile or give off an inexpensive vibe. Can be worn during the day as well as on a date.

Got it for Valentine's day and like it. It is sweet, fruity and warm. You can wear it everywhere and anytime and be just fine. Nothing offends your nose as it is playing safe. The lemon ginger vanilla gives it a certain gentle uniqueness. The haters may say that it's nothing special but I am pretty sure your colleagues will love smelling it on you.

This perfume completely reminds me of a raspberry and apple salted caramel pie. Absolutely unique. It really takes me into a journey of different scents and the ingredients and the notes can be scented clearly. Recommend for spring to match the green scents of the season.

this is my actual favorite perfume! it lasts a lot on my skin and it makes my feel like i'm a living candy apple. its sweet but not too much like others sweet perfumes, it doesnt give me a headache and its crowd pleasing. i love it<3

Lovely, very similar to the original Nina, apple is definitely présent, it's sweet, more floral and not sour. I love the original and I love this new flanker too, the bottle is gorgeous ❤

The scent is just like other Nina, with a little twist. But i give this a LOVE because of the bottle, very pretty, it could be the prettiest bottle from all of the lines.

My first thought: so lovely. Creamy, sweet gardenia. An inoffensive gourmand. I can detect a tiny bit of raspberry/strawberry note too. Kind and sweet :)

I will buy this. The bottle is everything. I love Red, i love ginger. This is for me i am sure.

I blind bought this after finding it on offer for a good price. The notes sounded nice and I'm a big fan of Nina Ricci fragrances, especially the Nina line so I thought I'd risk it. I like the scent. It opens with sweet, crisp citrus scent on me, I get a lot of lemon. The more it dries the more caramel starts coming through and then a more creamy, sweet, citrus scent on my skin. It's nice, not too dissimilar to the original Nina EDT and if you like that I can't imagine you won't like this one. Unfortunately its performance lets it down. The initial citrus scent is quite strong, it radiates and fills a room upon initial application. As it dries (which comes quite quickly on me) it sits closer to the skin, barely undetectable without bringing a wrist to my nose in not much longer than a hour. After three hours I really can't pick this scent up on my skin at all. It's an EDT so I wasn't expecting something ridiculously strong but I can't help feeling disappointed by its poor staying power. It's a shame as the scent is really nice!

Nina Rouge is fruity and sweet, with a little musk. The fruit notes are said to be raspberry & citron, and sure, I guess it could smell like that. But truthfully, the fruit here is more of a non-descript berry, and could even be interpreted as apple as another reviewer mentioned. It's ambiguity doesn't make it any less pleasant though, and though the vanilla comes through more strongly later in the wear, there are still hints of the fruit here. This is not a super complex fragrance, but it does smell good and it's a very easy perfume for casual day wear. It has a happy, youthful spirit about it. The scent most certainly matches its cute, glossy bottle. Decent longevity, not a lot of projection, but it's not a skin scent either. I'm overall happy with this purchase: it's fun, it smells good, it didn't cost a fortune, and the bottle is adorable. That's really all I ever ask of a Nina!

What a happy fragrance!!! It's uncomplicated but very pretty and it's exactly what I was looking for. I wanted something fun and easy to wear because I'm not always in the mood for the loud and heavy fragrances. Nina Rouge is girly, is fruity, is sour-sweet, it starts very citrusy, the citron peel note is very prominent and goes very well with the juicy raspberry note, which makes the fragrance very bright. After the opening, it settles to a more sweet fruity caramel-vanilla, still very nice and so yummy! I can recognize the original Nina's dna in this fragrance, and although apple isn't listed in the notes, I get a lot of red apple especially in the dry down and I really enjoy that. This is such an optimistic fragrance and the bottle is so cute, I just love it! ❤️

Sweet, fizzy and feminine. Am I crazy about Nina Rouge? No, but that doesn't mean I don't enjoy her. She's another easy reacher in my collection. Something I don't have to worry about being cloying or offending others. I especially enjoy this pretty scent after the gym or when I'm running errands. Nina Rouge starts out very bright and sparkling with raspberry and warm citron, like fruity champagne. I personally don't get any caramel or vanilla which is a bummer, but the ginger adds to the softer drydown. If you're looking to gift someone perfume and you're not sure what they like, I'd say this one is a winner. It's fresh, girly and non-offensive, which is great for work environments or casual days out. I can't imagine anyone not liking this.

I was almost bummed out by the initial spray. Smelled like soap from a public bathroom or a deodorizer. It smells really good but I would not wear it if it smelled like that all day. Then it dried down and it has a slight boozy apple cider smell mixed with haribo gummies. The drydown gives me nostalgia for plasticy artificial scents or potpourri around Autumn and Christmas; spiced artificial fragrances sprayed on plastic decorations and Christmas tree candles that don't actually smell like Christmas trees. Also smells a bit fresh and green and like red delicious apple peels. I only slightly get a hint of caramel. I could wear this every day because it's affordable and it's not powdery.

In simple words it is sweet and uncomplicated. For me it is a great summer-to-autumn transition scent, especially for days when the mornings are cold, but the day still promises some warmth. It opens with a sweet and tangy mix of raspberry and citrus, then it transforms into cozy vanilla and caramel scent that lingers for several hours. Unfortunatelly, I can't really smell the ginger. The projection is on the softer side—more of a skin scent after a while. I don’t mind that, but if you prefer long-reaching fragrances, this one might not be for you.

Sweet and fruity, not cloying. This perfume reminds me of one of the "So?.." perfumes I used to purchase from Walmart as a preteen in the early 2000's. The raspberry note is most prominent to my nose which is nice but it is mixed with a slight hairspray scent to me. Longevity is short but it does leave a subtle sweetness on the skin for several hours. Overall I do like this perfume but due to obvious factors mentioned in this review I will not be purchasing a bottle of it.

Literally my high school perfume and second perfume ever, got Les Sorbets de Bella as a middle schooler and I loved that scent, sadly it was a limited edition so for another Christmas my mom bought me this one. Ended up as my high school perfume and I loved it! This is such a fruity and sweet, it reminds me candy apple, very much soft and feminine scent which reminds me also of my high school self, very nostalgic to me.

this was my favorite perfume when I was a little younger, inoffensive, so sweet and fruity, it has that sweet citrus and raspberry smell. I would recommend it to younger women all year long but especially in hot weather, if you want a raspberry fresh perfume this is definitely the one, very similar DNA to the original nina ricci but much sweeter. sillage and longevity are both moderate.

Lovable, long lasting, great projection but not irritating. Clearly detectable all day during summer. Soft, feminine, sweet, cute. A lot of well balanced raspberry with caramel backing. Beautiful vanilla at heart. A bit of refreshing and spicy, indeed must be ginger. Softness and creaminess of gardenia petals. I had a great day in it. And I Immediately used it next day from my sample.

A sweet caramel citrus that holds down the fort. This is like a dupe of a dupe of Akro bake, with an added berry note. Like the idea of berry lemon scones. It’s still nice, tart, and fruity. It gets the job done. It just doesn’t have that same nuance as others may. That being said, I really quite like it!

The first thought i had when smelling it was „caramelized apple“. I am surprised to see that there is no apple listed in the notes. Anyways, it is a nice fragrance, has a pleasant lipgloss smell. It’s a bit too soft for me, but it’s well done. I recommend it to young, romantic ladies.

Pretty scent. Super weak on my skin. Not sickly sweet nor too flowery-powdery. Nothing sophisticated neither. Imo overpriced. Would be a lovely perfume for a young lady under 20.

Not nearly as cheerful as the original Nina, i must say Rouge is probably the only flanker i would consider smells like a real confiserie, lovely gourmand scent.

A soft, pleasant and easy to use perfume for everyday use. The notes very good. But .... The durability, in me, is so weak 2 hours, maximum. Very disappointed.

Cute and sweet fruity/floral scent. The ginger note is very prominent. Easy to wear but don’t expect great lasting power from it.

Testing this today in Douglas purely because the rich, burgundy red bottle caught my eyes, but the scent is kind of mediocre. A very generic, fruity, sweet, floral, with some citrusy nuances but quite faint and boring! Sorry for being so dismissive about this scent, but that gorgeous, rich red apple bottle deserves a better juice than an average caramel, raspberry, vanilla based scent. If you’re very young, you might like Nina Rouge. If you’re not invested into perfumes too much or work in an office or an environment where scents with personality are not tolerated, Nina Rouge will be your best choice. It’s light, very likeable, difficult to dislike if you’re into moderately sweet, fruity scents and has a bit of a floral side. Otherwise, stay away, there’s better out here...

To me, this is rather boring and just meh. It just smells like a simple, powdery, raspberry fragrance, with some mild sweetness. Very minimal on the complexity, and the notes. Stays relativity the same throughout the entire duration of the fragrance. It's not sexy or intoxicating. It's rather easy to wear though. Not complex in anyway, but it smells of decent quality. Completely forgettable in general

I have it for a year now. It's fine. As my collection is growing, I noticed I reach less and less for it. And I found that the combination fruity-sweet/tart is not my favorite. When both accord are fighting to get the spot, you know what I mean. I have the same problem with Amor Amor Cacharel. I would have preferred the dry down minus the citrusy note.

It's a good perfume, but it's strong. It gets tiring pretty fast. I get no vanilla or caramel, only fruity/flowery scents, but it's still good. Silage is strong, but longevity is not. I wouldn't buy it again, but I'll enjoy my small bottle while it lasts. 6.5/10

Smells great and very similar to the original Nina Ricci in my opinion but is just a little more alluring and tasty. It is also a bit stronger but I find that it only lasts 5 mins and then it's gone. Horrible longevity so I am returning it

The short-term sweetness of the sweets is replaced by a woody smell (modern classic) Zero flowers, some aldehydes. Nothing special or memorable. For me, there is nothing to hold on to. Everyday. Usually.

Smells like a grandmother who just baked an apple pie. It's too old and sweet for me.

This is horrible. It's the most generic, boring, fruit bubblegum smell, like cheap fruity soda, with something synthetic that resembles burnt rubber on top. I blind bought because of the nice bottle and the promising notes, but I was so upset by it after a while, that I binned it, cute bottle and all. The longer I kept the bottle, the more prominent that 'burnt rubber' smell became, to the point I think there is something seriously chemical and unstable about this. To the bin-mobile.

Oof, not great... The opening smells very, very artificial, the sort of scent you would find in a little girl's 2 dollars chapstick. After a while, although the chemical sweetness lingers, the scent develops into something that reminds me of Bvlgari fragrances, but that sweetness is just impossible to deal with and I am no stranger to loving sweet perfumes. Performance is decent, projection not the best, but you still have to apply it lightly or it will induce a headache.

I don’t know why this perfume gets so much hype, but it smells like someone ate a lemon raspberry loaf cake, caramel tarts, and a bunch of other vanilla ****s, threw it all up, and then that vomit somehow turned into this beautiful perfume. Thanks to this wonderful magic in a bottle now as an introvert i can avoid people without even trying, because of this stinky cloud around me.

I got a sample and when I first sprayed it on my skin, it was a strong fresh floral fragrance, a few minutes later it was softer and fruity, then half hour later I couldn’t smell any of it anymore. I tried on my clothes and first it smelled like bubble gum then a boring floral. In general words, there’s nothing special about it, it doesn’t last and no silage.

when i bought this i loooved it but the more I wore it the less I could stand it. its not bad I just got sick of the smell, it's not very strong but a pretty unique scent kind of. to me it smells like cherries (even though it's not listed in the notes) and caramel. it's really yummy but I just cant put it on anymore, it's like a sticky sort of sweet.

For me there's too much gardenia initially for first hours in Nina Rouge for me to like it as a gourmand scent, I wish there was a bit more caramel. There is also something very synthetic about the vibe I get from it... Projection is good enough for the price, drydown is pretty nice, and the bottle is so cute!

When I was a kid, candy stores sold this plastic sticks full of a pink, strawberry-flavored sugary powder. That's EXACTLY what this smells like. 4/10

The top note is beautiful and fine, but then the caramel and vanilla come in and it smells like a vanilla bean smoked on the grill.Who has a dog and knows shampoos for sensitive hair that smell of smoked vanilla well that is the smell...bleach.

Burst of sweet raspberry and citron in the beginning, like candy. Projection is good, it is a little sharper than the scent pyramid (typically vanilla heavy scents seem round on my skin) in a good way, in that you do smell and recognize something is there. Stronger in that way than original Nina, which smooths out and becomes softer. 3 hours in and it's a punchy raspberry caramel candy. It actually reminds me of Les Monstres de Nina (cotton candy pear) and Nina Fantasy (sweet cherry blossom). They have the same base DNA, you would know that it's from the same line. Another lovely scent and happy to add it to my collection!

Exactly, like evazquez wrote before me, nice, sweet, forgottable. I ́d like to add, that it could be great for teen or twentish girl, it ́s quite youthful. It ́s suitable for whole year but scorching summer. Office friendly. After several months on my shelf, it started to be more sour and caramel like and deeper. That ́s surprise for me, because another Nina apples, which I had, started to be weak or spoilted. It ́s good for layering, I layer it with Kenzo World Intense. Good for a blind buy or a gift, if you like sweet, gourmand scents.

When I finished up my 50 ml bottle last week, I was sad. So many memories (good and bad) connected with this forgettable perfume for last 2,5 years. It matured in bottle, so it was in the best shape after few months after buy up to 1,5 years of sitting of my shelf. But even at the end it smelled well. It's interesting. Bella of the same age smelled weakly after 1,5 years on my shelf. I keep that beautiful bottle. Apple bottles by Nina Ricci are really beautiful and worth for keeping them in collection of empty bottles.
