Nina

This was the first designer perfume I was gifted and that I fell in love with. I wore this throughout my 20s and loved the candy apple scent. I've actually been on the hunt for more mature/adult red apple praline perfume. If anyone has any recommendations please let me know. Nina is a bit more whimsical then my perfume tastes these days but it still has very fond memories. I haven't really heard anyone mention this but I do believe the formulation is different now, I decided to purchase a bottle of the Nina for Christmas for myself and it smelled completely different to me and very floral. I see on their website the notes have changed as well which was very disappointing. The notes that Fragrantica lists are the previous notes not sure when it was reformulated but now on the Nina website it's listed as top - lemon/lime; middle - gardenia/toffee apple; base - cedarwood/white musk. I definitely get more gardenia/white flowers and the apple note is less strong. Gardenia heavy scents tend to give me a headache so I ended up returning it. I was able to find a bottle from 2016 on FragranceNet brand new in a sealed box and I purchased it without hesitation. I was so happy it was the smell I remembered that wonderful nostalgic smell. Sadly I'm much more sensitive to smells now (after a head injury from a few years ago) and as much as I love love the smell it's too strong for me to wear I get a bit nauseous. I've thought about selling it or just keeping it for the pretty bottle but I may try to trade it for another perfume. I think I'd rather if someone else enjoyed it than me just keep it on a shelf. If anyone has a recommendation of a website where people can swap perfumes I would be interested in that, it's practically a fully bottle only spritzed a couple times. For once an affordable frag with a gorgeous bottle, price and smell! This is the fresh smell of an optimistic young woman in her 20's. She is well composed, but approachable. She is probably wearing crisp white and has high hopes. She smiles all the time and probably doesn't take anything seriously. She is worldly and fun. Energetic. The bottle is slightly ironic, as this frag is indicative of Eve in The Garden. It is as close to a sparkling lemon/cucumber soda on a breezy sunny day as you can get in a fragrance. It feels like a cool glass of tea in the summer, but no sugar. There is no sweetness here, just freshness. I personally wore this throughout my 20s, The other day I saw a small bottle on sale. Purchased it for the memories. My daughter is in her teens, and saw it on my vanity. She is always playing in my perfume. She couldn't resist the bottle. After one spray, completely hooked. It has become her signature! For the Christmas holiday I purchased her a full size at $52. Thankfully, because at her rate of consumption of Gucci frags, she needs a job! For reference: my daughter has loved Gucci Guilty, Gucci Guilty Black Por Femme and BBW Into The Night, and Princess by Vera Wang. If you lean toward peppery/ginger/citrus/jasmine/violet/honeysuckle/cedar/musk notes, you will love this. It lasts all day, has great longevity and silage. Just enough to make people turn around and wonder what smells so heavenly. This is for the young/growing up woman. Also, a great transition frag for those graduating to more mature scents.

I have lost count how many “Apples” I have bought over the last 10 years or so. I went through college with it, I gathered a lot of compliments with this fragrance. It is interesting how this is an old scent, yet I never smell it on anyone on the street. It is definitely for a slightly younger crowd, as for women over 50 that may be too much of a girl-ish scent. It is sweet, I picture rosy cheeks every time I smell it. It is surely a joyful scent, that smells like you are ready to flirt and turn heads. The longevity is great, the price tag is appropriate, sometimes you can even see it on sale. Definitely a good buy. The problem I have with sweet fragrances that often they smell cheap, and it totally kills it for me. But with Nina it is not the case. Nothing cheap-smelling there. The bottle too feels heavy and fancy (also, let’s really appreciate the design! It is so rare these days to see other than rectangular-looking bottles). I recall the video commercial for this perfume, probably one of the best I have seen. No exposed bodies, no sexuality, yet the scent is so flirty. Pure beauty. Another thing I appreciate is that when you use too much of it, you don’t get any of the alcohol-like scent which often you hear even from expensive perfumes. It feels very high quality and I can see how it could be a great signature scent for every day. It was mine for years. I still wear it sometimes and will continue repurchasing Nina until they stop producing it (which is hopefully never).

Why I EVER stopped wearing this perfume is beyond me! I wore this with such dedicated regularity about 7 years ago because I was obsessed with the GORGEOUS sweet, pretty red apple scent. Seriously, this is next level. I figure it must be the praline bringing all that sexy back, but this never smells chocolaty. It's a perfect, juicy, gentle, girly, flirty - yet STILL office-appropriate - scent! I got a sample again just yesterday and - OH BOY - I am buying a full bottle as soon as humanly possible. That rubbish "DKNY Be Delicious" range? Throw it in the bin. The lemon in the opening is never harsh or acidic. It brings a *very gentle* zest, and stops this perfume from being cloying. Because ...it IS sweet. But not a cloying, immature sugar-explosion. It's eyes-roll-back-in-your-head sweetly intoxicating! Thanks to peony, apple blossom, cedar, and musk for supporting the star of the show here. As a side note: This is 100% red apple. Don't be fooled by that green apple picture. Granny Smith apples belong in pies, not perfumes. PIES, NOT PERFUMES! .. But I digress. The sillage is amazeballs. I've *literally* had someone I work with leap on me after I confirmed that I was wearing this. Leaping. Onto. My back. With growling. Not all your favourite perfumes have to be high-range designer or niche fragrances. As long as they bring you a true element of JOY; they're worthy. *** Kitty rating: 10/10 (Yes. A lovely fragrance. I wish this were still more available (I can buy it online but it's clearly disappearing). The opening is a green apple freshness and sweetness. Smells uplifting and enlivening, and this is the part that seems immeadiately suitable for summer. But it soon becomes less fruity and more gourmand with the praline. By about 15 minutes I only really get praline and musk and woods. Still delicious and I LOVE praline tbh, but the dry down makes it far less suitable for summer where I live (hot humid climate, praline is too cloying in that weather). It's a shame the fruitiness doesn't last longer, as I'd be fine with it if the praline and base came through after an hour or more. Maybe this is just how it is with time... I'm sure the bottle I tried was made many years ago. Still, a gorgeous, lovely fragrance, but more suitable for my autumn weather, and since I think it won't be available soon, I won't buy it. I also NEED to say, the opening is so so similar to Police To Be for Women, and the dry down is like a softer, less patchouli version of Angel EDT (2019 remake). I'd rather have Police To Be and Angel EDT separately so i can wear them in summer and autumn/winter respectively.

I am wondering if this could be a masterpiece. It’s fresh, tart and sweet at the same time. It’s lovely and sexy at the same time too. It’s easy, but not boring. For me, it has the X factor that makes me wanna sniff it all the time, and that is not because it’s so hard to decipher, but because it’s so uplifting and charming, and it makes me feel happy and carefree. It’s so affordable too. So I’m really wondering if this could be considered a jackpot in perfumery, just ticking so many boxes with a single product. This comes from a lover or larger-than-life perfumes such as Chanel 5/Coco, Shalimar, Samsara, Bal a Versailles and the like. So it’s quite an unusual thing for me to say, because I usually don’t gravitate towards this kind of “weightless” perfumes, but this is really really pretty. I could do with a slightly more potent sillage though.

I absolutely love Nina. It's sweet and girly yet there's a freshness and lightness to it that keeps it from becoming cloying, like many other sweet perfumes can be. The first time I smelled it the main note I got was toffee apples, which I wasn't sure I wanted to smell of! However, I really like it now and, combined with the other lighter, citrus (lemon & lime) notes, it's just really lovely! Also, Nina lasts forever on my skin - at least 24 hours. It's got to be one of the longest lasting perfumes I've ever worn. Also, I love the bottle which I think is gorgeous. Although one of the main notes in Nina is apple, it's nothing like DKNY Be Delicious. To me, DKNY Be Delicious lacks character and is almost acidic, and very unsexy, smelling. Nina, on the other hand, is appley, warm, sweet & sexy! Nina is a GREAT perfume!

The fragrance I have in my collection for ages is almost done. It was with me during my high school and during my university. Right after aplication I can smell sweet and sour notes. I don't recognize apple, but I detect many creamy and road notes. I used to use them in two situations: when I wanted to be powerful (as a teenager haha) or when I wanted to impress a guy. I do not know why, but it was huge compliment getter. Once I thought it was so strong and powerful, now I consider it as a warm daily fragrance. Even 5-6 years passed since I have Nina in my collection, I still enjoy the composition, which is still very pleasant to me. I would consider it as a nice gift for a younger person (it was me, haha) to feel special and more mature, or as a daily versatile fragrance in 25+.

This is a beautiful, fun, innocent yet sexy fragrance with decent sillage and longevity and an adorable bottle from the wonderful House of Nina Ricci, though it's production has been sold a few times to different companies, the current being Puig. I disagree with another reviewer here that the original Nina was a "dull floral" There was nothing dull about it, It was an exquisite, elegant fragrance that I had the pleasure of trying through Ebay as it is no longer in production. It's sophisticated and warm like something on a strong but warm, successful, beautiful woman. It had mad sillage and longevity, something sadly missing from most of today's fragrances.

I would reccomend this perfume, I am transmasc and while i do tend to enjoy more masculine smells. This perfume has a very special place in my heart as it was the perfume my mother used to wear in the 2000s, so it's a very comforting and nostalgic smell for me. I tend to spray a very little amount onto myself and even my partner has also worn it a few times (he also prefers masculine smells) but we both have very positive memories and experiences with this perfume. The notes of floral almost rose is a warm and comforting smell. Something I would definitely tell people to buy if they're going for a fun and fruity/floral scent

I wore this back when it came out in 2006 and loved it. I hadn't smelled anything quite like it. I recently smelled it again and still like it quite a bit and I still can't think of anything that smells quite like it. To me, it's sort of a hybrid between a fresh citrus scent and a sweet gourmand scent. It holds up well and doesn't smell dated, IMO. I definitely smell citrus in the top notes but never would have guessed it's specifically lemon and lime. This smells just how I remember it, so I don't think there's been any reformulation of the 2006 original, but I could be wrong.

I smelt this on a colleague and immediately fell in love with it! As soon as I got home I ordered a full bottle and couldn't be happier! It's not the type of perfume I would normally go for as it does have citrus notes, but these are so well balanced alongside the florals, praline notes and touch of musk that I don't mind them. It's a pretty fresh feminine scent that is perfect for daytime errands or work. I bought a 2nd bottle for my mum as she loved it too! Would make a good gift for someone who likes citrus floral notes, as the bottle is beautiful.

Fresh, juicy, watery green apple with lemon and peony. It's sweet but with moderation, it does have some light caramel notes but the apple stays very fresh and even kind of cool thanks to the lemon's sour touch. It's a pretty and innocent fragrance meant for Spring that can also be worn in Summer. Sadly it's barely more than a skin scent on me, but when sprayed on clothes, it has decent sillage and longevity. On fabric, the lemon note is stronger, makes the fragrance more sour and gives it a bit more maturity and character. I like it !

I think my mom had one when i was a child and i always loved the apple packaging. i always wanted to own it. so this year i finally own my own one. and in honor of my favorite model, Ruslana Korshunova, the beautiful woman who sadly passed away in 2008, the same year i was born in. the scent is clean but fresh, not overly cítrical. i love the apple scent, the sweet freshness. its a very cute fragance, not to strong but its beautiful. perfect for spring and summer, that fresh, apple, girly touch.

Reminds times when I was teen, with full of hopes and with positive view on things. Something so addictive in that scent...cant describe it, cant stop sniffing it. I have some already some kilos of other perfumery, but this one is special- it sweet and fresh, its yummy but not flat yummy, it is simple and at the same time, deep..it turns back me in times, when world seemed happier and easier...it brings back hopes again and feeling like nothing is wasted, many good things can be still ahead.

Love this perfume! It's very citrusy and fresh at first but the sweeter and woodier scents pop through once it dries down. The scent might be slightly outdated for some people, but if you enjoy fresh, soft, and fruity scents this is it for you. The smell unfortunately does not last, which is a shame because this perfume is not cheap. (also, beware when wearing this during the summer... the smell is sooooo much stronger than normal, a little overwhelming for some.)

I put off trying this for quite a while under the misconception it would be unbearably sweet like modern fruity floral or too soapy and artificial like older ones....I've never been more wrong. It's a fresh, citrusy gentle apple that I always wanted DKNY Be Delicious to be (a nice scent, but this one is magic). I also always value a simple perfume , so this keeping it easy and breezy really works nicely for me. If I see it on sale, I'll get myself a little bottle.

I have been wearing this perfume for over 10 years I have so many memories attached to this, it always brings me back to when I first worn it. It feels mature but young at the same time if that makes any sense at all. I think I have repurchased 3 times I just always go back to it. I like it best in colder months. It’s unique without being offensive like a gourmand but not too sweet it’s earthy with a little twist. For me honestly always been 10/10 so well done.

It was my signature one for a really long time (from high school to 10 years of business life). I still love it; it's not a unique scent, but I can't say it's generic either. Somehow I never managed to smell the apple. It's balanced citrus and berry/rose mixture for me, so young! But I'm struggling to find it at my location. Also, my nose started to look for more feminine and stronger scents with time. I guess I'm getting older :D

It's a perfume I dreamed of owning since I was a kid, as a little girl the ads mesmerized me and made it seem like a dream-like fragrance. Needless to say I wasn't a bit disappointed buying it as an adult, I love it, it's a quintessential 10 year-old girl sweet pink floral fragrance that I've worn out over the years. (& it might be just me but the citrus smell is quite phantomatic?)

This Nina by Nina Ricci perfume is beautiful and it smells so nice and girly and flirty I'm in my 20s but it still suits me and I remember my mom had Nina by Nina Ricci when I was a little girl I remember the smell and the bottle and the name and its a good perfume and its not to strong its good on my nose and since its a eau de toilette I have to keep reapplying but that's ok

this scent bears such a sweet nostalgia smells like an older sister or friend whom you would trust with all your deepest secrets, someone you looked up to as a teenager, the sweetest and coolest girl that could exist in your eyes, protective, fierce, captivating and Nina Nina Ricci was her signature scent it no longer is though, she grew up and so did you

I wish I could find this again - the first perfume that ever felt 'me'. Everyone was wearing DKNY Be Delicious and I felt so different with my 'different' apple (I realise now Nina was tremendously popular!), I remember it being crunchy sweet and fresh, girly with some syrupy depth. I've since realised I love almost everything Olivier Cresp has created.

Nina takes me back. It was one of the first perfumes I’ve ever found myself interested in. So when I saw images of the iconic bottle, I knew I had to have it. Much like an apple, Nina is crisp and fresh at first. Then, the sweetness kicks in. It’s a lovely soft feminine fragrance that will have you smile each time you smell it.

If you like the smell of sweet candied apples with a hint of lemon, then this scent may appeal to you. It's a fruity sweet smell but still has the maturity fragrance profile so adults can carry this scent, I used this extensively during my 20's and now that im in my 30's,,,,really missed it & planning to get another 1 soon.

Smells like a lime flavored skittle sitting on top of a cedar chest with apple peels strewn about. What a shame it doesn’t last longer on the skin. The caress body wash called black orchid and patchouli oil smells just like the Nina edt if you’re looking to layer and prolong the scent :)

I was gifted this perfume during work’s Secret Santa and I was very surprised. I knew later that it was from a close male friend. I loved the sweetness, fruity and also that it was light. It was different from the other perfumes I owned during that period. Nice one.

Starts off fruity and sweet with a bit of citrus, changes to a fruity with a tiny hint of spice, dries down to a pretty, feminine, fruity and slightly sweet scent. I just love it! I don't smell caramel at all...just a pretty, sweet fruity floral.

Kind of a musky, caramel apple scent. Opens very citrusy but calms down. It’s fresh but sweet but not Pink Sugar sweet. Very wearable to me. It kind of reminds me of Ariana Grande’s Cloud if you swapped the lavender for apple.

I really loved this perfume, it has like the perfect balance between floral and citrus (which is my fav combination tbh), very fresh and "easygoing", also really like how long it lasts, it's perfect for a spring day

I adore this fragrance but am really disappointed in the longevity. It doesn't last more than an hour on me. Considering spraying on my clothing for a longer lasting scent.

Just finished my sample of this. It’s a lovely fruity scent, strong apple. Very similar to Shagaf Woman which I already have, and Shaghaf has a woodier base that I prefer.

This is so enjoyable and happy scent! I always buy a new bottle after previous one is finished. Happy, juicy, crispy, summery, full of apples. Available in decent prize.

This was one of my first few perfumes and I loved it so much! I definitely smell the apple notes on this one, and it makes you feel sooo delectable.

Bright, pretty, happy scent. Smells like granny smith apples and lemonade. Very fresh and inoffensive, it's perfect for a younger girl.

Gorgeous scent! Sweet but fresh, so it can satisfy the sweet cravings and be not too overpowering for stricter work places.

If you want to smell this one in all it's glory, try it in 60 degree Fahrenheit temps.

2000S ASS SCENTTTT Super fresh and juicy

I love this lively and uplifting scent.

This fragrance brought me back in time. I remember when it first came out and was all the rage. I couldn't afford it and I wasn't working a job yet. By the time I did get my first high school job I'd moved on to other fragrances and forgotten all about this one. I saw a bottle for a decent price on ebay and decided to pick up a bottle just to treat my little ol self. Well, there's something in it that put me further back in the time machine than I anticipated. While it smells completely reminiscent of its time, and like dozens of smell alikes that I would become more acquainted with in the later years, there's something else. I'm transported to 2002. I'm 10 years old, standing in my older cousin's bedroom, looking at all of her posters on the wall, MTV is playing on the TV in her room, she's got a little assortment of perfumes on her vanity, and I would give my right arm to be an ounce as cool as her. She pulls out her guitar and we begin to write songs that don't make any sense and will never make it outside of the walls of her bedroom, she's got blue streaks in her hair, and she smells like this apple-shampoo perfume. It couldn't have been Nina, it hadn't been thought of yet, but the fragrance was ingrained in the memories I didn't know that I'd kept, and never thought about again until smelling this perfume. The scent itself is nothing extraordinary. Going off of scent alone, it's a fruity musky little thing. Could've told me it was Bath Body Works or Avon and I wouldn't have batted an eye. Performance is terrible , this must be a newer bottle, and possibly reformulated. I get absolutely no praline, I may have guessed there's some vanilla as there's a twinge of sweetness that keeps the granny smith from becoming bitter, despite also having a lemon-lime cedarwood soda accord present as well. Honestly, this is like Light Blue's younger, more artsy and bubbly sister. This would be the perfect first perfume to gift a young person. I'm going to start recommending it as such to people who ask. I'm wearing like 8 sprays and I can only barely detect it, wafting in and out just ever so often. A youngin who's going to drown themselves in their first few fragrances until they get older and wiser (it's a cannon event, you can almost never interfere) would be safe with this one, and so would the people around them. If you like the idea of light blue, fruity shampoo fragrances, are young (either literally or at heart) and your favorite candy of choice is sour patch kids or skittles, check this one out.
