Vénus Eau de Parfum Intense

I blind bought in France. I received it ; quite generic but also quite pleasing. It reminds me of Dolce Gabbana the only one intense only with heavier vanilla + additional tropical notes (tiare) Unfortunately nothing intense about it, you could barely smell it anything after few minutes of applying, an immediate skin scent. I never tried Venus edp for a whole day (but i sampled it quickly and it was ok), people seemed to enjoy its performance. This is only reason i gave this one a chance, and i’m sorry to say i regret it. It also reminds me of ; libre flowers flames without the lavender (like zara golden decade sandalwood extrait version with with even less projection). Bottle is pretty and can be refilled, so at least it’s somewhat that can be reused. The vanilla aspect is also pleasing and boozy. Such a shame for its performance

I just received this (and I have the original) so this is a first impression. Darker and woodier than the EdP, which is to be expected. Strong cassis on paper but not so much on my skin. It feels nostalgic/retro in a way (can’t quite put my finger on why). I really like the creamy woody element from the base notes. Almost almond tinged like amaretto... wondering if that’s the liquor ?

Venus EDP was launched over a year ago and is not sold in stores or in almost any country... Does anyone know why? I don't understand how a perfume from such a well-known designer brand hasn't reached Italy, Spain, or Portugal... And so on... Now they're launching the intense version when the other one isn't available anywhere yet... Will the same thing happen with this one?

My new favorite. Very feminine, it's warm, cozy and sensual to me. My husband (who is very picky when it comes to women's fragrance) gasped when we hugged yesterday and told me I smelled really good! It's a definite win.

I wonder ; why did Nina Ricca made a refill for Venus edp but not the intense version? While still of both bottles are refillable (you can remove the cap) : it simply doesn’t make any sense.

Vénus Intense keeps the essence of the original, that exotic aura where I still catch that strong impression of pineapple. Yet it unfolds differently, less woody patchouli, more vanilla, with a whisper of salt that evokes a breezy seaside. The liqueur note lingers delicately - a little twist that elevates the composition. I didn’t find the original unpleasant, but a bit too basic; this one feels slightly better, softer, more interesting. And the bottle... I wish there were more bottles that dared to step out of the ordinary.

It's a really beautiful scent... there is solar notes are very obvious, the tiare flower is beautiful. I think this is a very nice perfume. It's warm, woody, cozy vanilla and sensual. It's a beautiful mix... but I have the impression that I've smelled this dna before. That said I will used every single drop of my tester and I still love it ! Try it ! ps : I don't care that much for the bottle... meh.

To begin with, the bottle is too pleasant aesthetically. The scent is bright, solar and warm/comforting, it definitely gives a nice feeling, however it fails to "convince" me to purchase. It is rather generic, I agree with the view below without wakening any memory/feeling to feel connected to this scent.

A surprisingly lovely and rich aroma. I don't see coconut in the description, but I definitely detect it in the drydown. (Is my nose broken?) More of a sophisticated lady's scent.

Just like the original in the dry down, although it starts more promising. That vanilla/patchouli on the base notes of both of them is so vintag-y & classy. I just can't get out of my mind Allure Sensuelle from Chanel each time a get a whiff of it. The intense opens more airy, I can't detect the 'liquor' or cassis I was expecting and I don't think you need both, nor that are different enough. Read my review about the original, it's a bit denser, more straight to magnolia and my feelings are the same. If I had to choose one, this would be the original cause it's truly more 'original' and maybe a tad 'sweeter'. The bottle is to die for, the vibes of Venus are: wifey, solar, class, a 'vanilla' you could easily wear during summer months, but for the audience on their 30+ in order to rock it right. P.S: The lasting power is fantastic, but the sillage is average in a way someone must be close enough to detect it. I never layer perfumes, but it looks like Bare Vanilla cream from Victoria's Secret would make it a real signature.

@FunkyTomo - um, no. The silly and immature boys shouldn't be allowed to rate or compare other ridiculous fragrances to anything, whether the name is "explicit" or not. That's absurd. The ratings are for true reviews only and the name of a fragrance doesn't warrant any type of reaction. The juice is what we're all here for. And maybe the presentation too, for some. I thought that was common sense but, here we are. Moving on... The notes sound gorgeous. I haven't tried the EDP version but I plan to get my nose on it soon. I'm curious how the original compares with the Intense version.

Looks like silly little boys are being puerile in the "reminds me of " section... Again. Pussy jokes. Maybe it might be warranted with some releases with explicit names , but I'm not seeing anything in the name or bottle that gives such an impression?? Must be the school holidays.
