A Date With Oud

The first thing my nose sensed after 2 sprays on the fabric was a heavenly, juicy, sensual sarsaparilla(nannari), in all its glory beaming through! Just right after comes the dates, this is not dates in it’s raw packaged, for sale form, but the ones that are plucked from the trees directly, carrying a young juicy aroma, more like a very sweet dates shake; yummmm! ( I prefer this anyday over Ani). Amazing longevity and projection, then comes a moment where the leather follows up with it’s subtlety; how it’s meant to be. Over spraying will make it too strong for certain occasions and closed spaces, with the leather along, but this is a whole new mood. Dear Nishane, you win here! Sweeeet af!

@BEDrone Grow up kid. You cannot just pull down a whole country just because your nostrils have been long dead. There are countless perfumes that are made based on India. I’ll list few for your reference so you get educated. Memo Paris - Madurai ( Named after a South Indian district) famous for its jasmine. Chandigarh Express - Ex Nihilo (captures the mood of busy streets and aroma associated) in a bottle. Byredo - Mumbai Noise. And lots of others. Btw your comment already stinks like a b*mhole, reflecting your dear self.

I love this one! It smells so good on me while I was still in Dubai (dry and very very hot), in the Philippines where it was so hot and very very humid (my husband asked me what I was wearing and everyone who hugged me said I smelled great) and now in Brisbane (mild and cool) during the winter months. This will be my ultimate middle eastern perfume and if not for the hefty price tag I would love this to be a signature scent too.

My sister has her internship at Harrods and managed to steal 4 samples for me. It smells like a market in the slums of Mumbai , Powerful lasting power and silage is very good. Can be used in winter which it will be the best I believe. I ain’t paying all that so my sister can get me a bottle but I prefer not to smell of Hindustani hygiene. Might be for the freaks who like to smell like bumhole and say it’s artistic

A sweet, spicy date covered in a woody, leathery oud. The oud is a tamed, westernized oud. The citrus is definitely there, but it acts more as support to give it some lightness and brightness. A lot lighter and airier than I anticipated. I can see this being worn year round, maybe not during the dead heat of summer. Very pleasant and enjoyable. Test for yourself and don't let other comments deter you from at least trying it out.
