Definitely Unisex and so sexy on men This iconic perfume is really well known and therefore widely reviewed so I try to concentrate those kind of things which I didn’t found so easily answers before I blind bought this. When I bought this almost three years ago my questions were: Is this too spicy and is vanilla anyway the strongest note? This is not too spicy but this is strong. This is rather a fresh and really unisex and unique take on vanilla and that I like because it’s not sugar like or any kind of ice cream vanilla which kind of I only want to wear while sleeping. In the opening green notes, pepper and ginger gives a magical touch for vanilla, which is dominant note from the beginning until the last tinge of this unique long lasting high quality perfume. Cardamom continues the spicy touch in the drydown and all those spicy notes you can smell well blended until the end -those just fade away a little bit. Other base notes start to shine and together with vanilla and fresh vibe from Patchouli they give a soft, pleasant, cozy and sophisticated experience of this juice. This scent lasts and lasts and it really won’t leave you alone. What comes to citruses, I don't think it contributes significantly to the aroma, and citrus is not the main character in this fragrance at all. It is only present as a small molecular opening note and therefore disappears very quickly after spraying the fragrance. This is not a citrus-vanilla fragrance, but a ginger-cardamom-vanilla fragrance. Still, when I reviewed Cécile's Outlands | Amouage and compared it (not similar ones) to Ani, Material | Amouage and African Leather | Memo Paris , a faint citrus aroma is noticeable, especially next to Material. It is very mild, however, because I am known to be not a fan of citrus and in no way does it reach the citrus cake-style aroma that is found in Lira, for example, which I do not like at all. The lemon remains gentle the whole time, bringing brightness to the fragrance rather than a sour citrus aroma. Fortunately, it is clearly understated by the ginger and cardamom. This is not shy vanilla, this makes you stand out but it’s not what I was thinking based on reviews: too spicy or too sharp. Without those spices this would be just another ordinary vanilla perfume. Instant love. The opening did not really impress me. It's kind of chaotic? I cannot think of a better way how to describe it. Like if there were too many notes fighting for my attention and I couldn't grasp what's happening. However, after just a couple of minutes, the magic started working and it turned into one of the best, masterfully blended and nostalgia inducing vanilla scents I have ever tried. I am a proud owner of Bergamoss - Let's make love on Christmass, which is an uprecedented take on Czech variety of gingerbread cookies. It's lovely, festive and it smells so edible that it drew one of my colleagues to come and ask where are the cookies and if he can have some! And Ani? Ani smells just like a raw, unbaked linz dough full of vanilla and grated lemon peel. You know, the kind that smells and tastes just so good that you have to hold yourself and stop snacking on it even before you actually bake it. It evokes so many memories. Even though this fragrance is not marketed or classified as a gourmand scent, to me it is just that. The most mature, pleasing and absolutely addictive gourmand there is. I can't wait to add it to my collection.

Fragrance Journal Entry #123 So admittedly at first i hated this fragrance...let me explain, i sprayed this on a tester strip and immediatly pulled my nose away. I thought wow how can people like this..i waited a few days and decided to try again and still it was not good, my last try i decided to spray on skin and kept my nose away from my hand. About 30mins later i got a whiff in the air of something i could only describe as "heavenly", i smelled my hand and sure enough the harshness was gone and what was left was a beautiful masculine take on a "lemon cake" style of fragrance. The ginger in the opening is what was throwing me off..now i don't think it is a quality issue as nishane uses high quality ingredients but probably more of a blending issue. My advice is to test this on SKIN first and wait about 30-45min before giving a judgement...you'll thank me later. The performance is eternal for this one and you'll smell it on yourself all day. This fragrance smells like a lemon dessert done right — bright, creamy, and addictive without ever becoming cloying. The ginger and bergamot give a sparkling opening, fresh but not sharp, while the pink pepper adds just enough lift to keep it interesting. As it develops, it turns into a smooth lemon-vanilla accord, softly sweet, slightly spicy, and incredibly well balanced. It truly feels like a refined pastry rather than a sugary bomb. The rose and black currant stay subtle, adding depth instead of stealing the spotlight. The base is where it shines: vanilla, benzoin, woods, and musk create a warm, elegant trail that lasts forever. Longevity is excellent, and the sillage is confident and noticeable without being aggressive. Brutally honest: this is comfort, quality, and pleasure bottled. Easy to love, but not boring. Sweet, yet grown. Final thought: a lemon dessert fragrance for people who hate sticky gourmands. I’m obsessed

Absolutely fucking phenomenal fragrance. It's well blended, natural smelling and just a perfect vanilla lemony cake fragrance. On first sniff it smells like intense cedrat boise with vanilla. It's a fragrance that you must wear a few times to really appreciate in my opinion. The projection and longevity are really great, my neck got soaked in snow in freezing temperatures and Nishane Ani was still projecting heavily for the whole night, and of course the clothes I wore still smelled like crazy the day after. Elegant, smooth and refined. Ladies absolutely love this one, genuinely have gotten stopped on the street multiple time by grown women to ask me what I'm wearing. It can definitely be worn by younger dudes or adults, and also women. Top tier fragrance.

A unique fragrance with a great dry down, although sharp opening The opening of Nishane Ani can be a bit much, smelling slightly medicinal or sharp, but after 10-20 minutes it really starts to smooth out. Mine lasts me 8+ hours. Personally I enjoy the dry down of this fragrance the most. It really smells like a lemon cake, very smooth and comforting. The first hour or so you get a lot more of that sharper ginger as it opens up pretty spicy at first, and it slowly smooths out into more of a bright gourmand. A bit more unique so I’d say sample it or find somewhere to smell it before buying. If you’re considering it don’t come in with the mindset that this is a vanilla-heavy gourmand scent. 8.5/10, would probably buy again if I ran out.

Opening with the spice scent of ginger and pepper and a little bergamot makes the scent feel like early spring. For 5 minutes later, I can smell a fruity scent and it reminds me of Creed aventus or NS Hacivat. Within half an hour, the Vanilla based creates an extremely seductive and attractive scent. It reminds me of the little jars of vanilla we use to make cakes. A sweet and pleasant vanilla scent, suitable for cool days and date nights. Quality: 10/10 ( for someone who loves sweetness or vanilla ) Longevity: 9/10 ( 8-9h on my skin ) Sillage: 7.5/10 ( not to loud ) Versatility: 7.5/10 ( actually could be used daily, but it's best for cold days or night dates) Cost: 7/10 ( yeh it’s expensive but it’s worth 😵💫 ) Total: 41/50

I blind bought this one. I'm damn glad that I did. This is a fragrance that feels like the perfumer just read my mind, and made a fragrance for my taste personally. I had to sit down for about 15 minutes just to smell this one develop the first time I tried it. The opening with the absolutely beautiful ginger and blackurrant dancing together in a fruity, zingy way, and the creamy backdrop that hasn't yet settled completely. Then the mid and the drydown, with the most gorgeous vanilla I've ever smelled, sorrounded by beautiful spices. I'm a vanilla lover, and this one is the holy grail for my part - so far.. A 10/10 for me, no doubt. Blind buy-worthy? If you love vanilla, I don't see how you can live without it. Honestly.

I think I love this stuff. Got an absolute steal on facebook marketplace (80$ for a 50 mL full presentation) so I had to take it. I'm not sure if this projects but I have found that when I my body is warmed up or I'm moving around a lot (like at the gym) that I get such pleasant whiffs of that greenish, vanilla, and ginger. After 2/3 hours I feel like it sits pretty close to the skin but does provide a decent scent trail. Longevity is actually amazing, I sprayed yesterday around 9 am before going to the airport and could still smell around midnight on my wrists. I think I will use Nishane ani for my gym fragrance but it could be a great daily or special occasion scent. Get your nose on a sample! *Edited

Wow!! What an absolute masterpiece of freshness and warmth. From the very first spray, you’re greeted with bright bergamot, fresh green notes, and a vibrant kick of ginger and pink pepper. As it settles on the skin, a rich heart unfolds, where black currant, Turkish rose, and cardamom come together beautifully, adding a soft floral warmth. The dry down is where the magic truly happens — a luxurious blend of patchouli, cedar-wood, vanilla, benzoin, ambergris, musk, and sandalwood creates a smooth, creamy, and comforting finish. Bold, elegant, and incredibly well blended, this is the kind of fragrance that stays with you long after you’ve left the room. It’s definitely 10 out 10 for me.

I echo everything that @Big Pay Ness said. Ani is gorgeous beyond description. Longevity is unbelievable. I get 24 hours on skin and over two weeks on clothing, with very heavy projection. A very tangy, slightly floral green vanilla. The scent is absolutely breathtaking and exudes sophistication. It doesn't lean masculine or feminine, it's perfectly unisex. Two sprays is more than enough. Ani is extremely creative and versatile. I would wear this in any season, aside from outdoors in high heat. So well-blended and stunningly beautiful, this is really something special! Scent: 10/10 Longevity: 10/10 Projection: 10/10 Versatility: 9/10 Price/Performance Ratio: 8/10

i need to get this creamy vanilla with green elements in the back that are super well blended probally my favorite fragrance ive smelt so far if you say this is feminine i get it but on a younger guy this would deff work as your date nigth fragrance or in general a winter fragrance i sprayed 1 spray of this on to my wrist and it was radiating like crazy then at hour 4 it died down a little bit and at hour 8 it turned into a skin scent that lasted until i woke up the other day so imagine what would a couple of sprays would be really it reminds me of vibrato but on gourmand territory with a creamy vanilla and warm spices and pretty sweet

First time wearing this today. The opening comes in bold with a noticeable hit of spice, but thankfully it doesn’t linger too long. Within minutes, it softens and transitions beautifully into the heart and dry down, where it really shines. The blend of creamy vanilla, delicate rose, and smooth sandalwood creates a rich, well-balanced finish that feels both elegant and comforting. It’s one of those fragrances that evolves in a way that keeps you interested starting off assertive, then settling into something undeniably gorgeous and wearable. Perfect choice for a workday scent that still feels a little luxurious.

This is familiar. You know what it is? It's Grand Soir, but massively improved in every way without all the synthetic kicks. Heavily sweet, slightly spicy, benzoin-amber-vanilla, with a unique citric top note. Well-blended, with soft yet loud drydown. A unisex scent with slight masculinity - it is quite potent. Initial hours of sillage can be smelled across the room. Insane 12+ hour longevity due to high concentration and profile. Be careful with it, two sprays are enough for a routine. You will surely turn some heads. Try, don't blind buy. Keeping this in my arsenal and waiting for the winter. 9/10

First spray of Nishane Ani hit me so hard that it broke my rib I am not kidding, fragrances today are shorter and weaker than Gen Z relationships 20 years ago I gave my skin the first Ani particles from the stylish glass container and till this day I can't wash it off When this angelic masterpiece is a part of my body, the spicy, dry vanilla is just watering my mouth I don't need to drink any liquid Because of Ani, I might apply for the International Space Station and spray it from the sky, that will be my goal when I get drunk next weekend What else to say, this is just spectacular !

So the first time I sprayed this on, I thought it was a bit obnoxious, I thought that the lemon cake smell mixed with the green aspects just smelled off-putting, intense and gross. Once the dry-down came though, I was really enjoying this sophisticated, sweet, almost gourmand but somewhat edgy concoction. For some reason the dry-down gives me sensory images of having tea and cake in a big, fancy old library. So I'm still sort of undecided here but I'm getting used to it after a few wears and really enjoying the dry down. The performance is also very good and perfect for what it is.

Unisex but masculine leaning. Wear with caution, the longevity and sillage are there—so only one or two sprays are more than enough. I would even say spray below the neck or you’ll be coughing, that’s how strong this juice is; but with that said, it’s so delicious and intoxicating. You have to have the confidence for this scent. You will definitely fill the room and have everyone wondering “Who is that?” 👀 Fit for all occasions but I would def wear this to a black tie event, birthday celebration, or nighttime. You will for sure turn heads.

The opening reminds me of vanila in D.S & durga Pistachio, which I didn't like. It's not sweet or gourmand vanilla but it is "milky" and warm like vanilla flavored honey,masculine leaning but I am a woman and love it.The midle is like a vanilla chai / boba tea.The dry down is beautiful, faint dry vanilla with a hint of incense / vanillaincese. Unisex vanilla honey milk-dominated fragrance. It is like a mix of Xerjoff Naxos and D.S.& Durga Pistachio with a sweetened milktea. Love it! And it's a beast! Stays on clothes even after wash!

The first time I smelled it, I was hooked! I couldn't stop smelling this fragrance. It's quite addictive. Throughout the day, I need to smell the bottle cap. It instantly became one of my favorite fragrances. That incense that lingers on my skin, so present and intertwined. Incredible. How can I describe it: A soothing, ethereal, and sensual aroma. I feel completely intoxicated by this scent. It brings me a feeling of comfort, magic, and seduction. I could wear this perfume my whole life, I wouldn't get bored. Never!

This is by far the most beautiful scent I have ever smelled/owned. Perfectly blended and impossible to put into words exactly what this smells like. The best I can do is describe it in ideas. Imagine smelling a kitten that just rolled around in a vanilla cake with ginger and bergamot, but it’s not too sweet. Just perfect. And this is absolutely not a women’s fragrance, very unisex and to my nose leans male. Lasts 10+ hours on skin, beautiful scent trail and projection.. no one will forget you if you wear this.
