Colognise

So darn good! Only gets better as it dries down. This is straight up freshie - floral stunner that is custom-made for Spring and Summer days. I think this is more floral than fresh after the top notes burn off. Has a gorgeous mix of lily of the valley and jasmine. Performance on this is very good! It's a unisex fragrance, with maybe a slight masculine lean. I love it. Scent: 4.5 out of 5. It's just outstanding. Opens citrusy then becomes a sweeter floral, but not too sweet. Near perfect. Longevity: 4.5 out of 5. For a daytime fragrance, this one has legs. Expect 7 - 8 hours from it. Projection: 3.5 out of 5. Moderate projection in a climate-controlled setting. Wearing it in the heat might make it project stronger. I have not tested that aspect. Sillage: 3.5 out of 5. Moderate sillage unless you overspray. I'd stay around 3 sprays. You could potentially choke someone out if you spray heavy. Nishane has done it again with both this Colognise and with its sibling, Saffron Colognise. Try before you buy. My blindest buy. I had no idea this existed or that nishane even made fragrances other than those cubes bottles that they have. Bought this because the price is unbeatable for an extrait. Although... I have no idea what the hell an “extrait de cologne” is. But... the longevity POWERFUL. So I sprayed a Terenzi frag on my left hand and this one on my right. (Bought them together) The Nishane was so much more enjoyable in my opinion. I can’t quite put my finger on it, but it smells like Italian fragrances. (Perhaps it’s the Neroli) About an hour later, all I keep smelling is the Nishane fragrance. It overpowered the Terenzi fragrance I also purchased. The Nishane evolved over time. Start citrusy and which I presume is that Neroli. It smells SOOOOOOO good. Definitely not unisex imo. It eventually smells very masculine. It smells like something familiar but at the same time, nothing like what I have currently. Should you blind buy it? Given the price point as well? Hell yes! An excellent frag to wear in the hot summer months.

An amazing freshie! Opens up with very nice citrus and green tea accord, a bit sweeter and floral at the same time. Green tea note is very nice and stays upto for 1 hour or so in the background. It is not so prominent like in Wulong cha which is a far inferior fragrance in comparision imo and also more pricy than Colognise. The vetiver and musk in the base gives it a backbone which helps in its longevity which i get around 5-6 hours which is very good for a freshie. I can say that it will shine in the summers. Blend is really nice as well. Really loved the scent profile, it is fresh and uplifting and the quality of the fragrance is top notch like any other Nishane. This house has some really great frags to offer and Colognise is one of them. Do give it a try if you like freshies and looking for a one with good scent profile and decent longevity. This one was perfect for me as i was looking for a floral freshie with not too much of green notes and no bitter citruses. This is a well rounded frag and is very appealing. 9/10

I first got it as a sample with a purchase from Fragrancebuy.ca. At first I wasn't impressed, but it grew on me. I started to think about it more and wore the whole sample out. It got to the point I had to have it. I get a citrus/grassy/buttery/sweet vibe from it. It just works well on my skin an suits my personality if that makes sense. I feel sophisticated while wearing it and have gotten several "what are you wearing?" from men and women. Its my first Nishane and I am impressed with their quality for the price. It lasts 6-8 hours on my skin and projects for the first 1.5 to 2 hours, 6 feet at least. Definitely more of a spring, summer, early fall fragrance but I can see myself pulling it off in winter (MD eastern shore, winters aren't brutal cold or long, mid October and temps are still in the 80s). This was my one hundredth fragrance and my 12th niche. I'm definitely no expert but my nose is developing to the point I feel comfortable recommending this fragrance.

When I first tried Safran Colognise and Colognise, I immediately loved the Colognise and was okey with Safran Colognise. After quite some time my feelings changed and now i adore Safran Colognise and cannot use Colognise and therefore I sold my Colognise this week. So lets talk about Colognise... Colognise is one of the rare summer perfumes that should not be oversprayed.Although the notes are fresh, composition is used very bold and strong., it should be spayed carefully on hot summer days. Last year, on a day I sprayed too much in the summer, It made me nauseous, since that day I didn't like it at all. I gave it another chance today, but in vain, I still don't like it 😀 This summer, I will continue with Saffron Colognise from Nishane only in summer If you like Neroli perfumes in the style of Xerjoff Nio, Mugle Cologne or Neroli Portofino, you will also love Colognise.

Italian style cologne but modern!! This is just beautiful fresh,soapy, clean scent!! To my nose neroli and jasmine are the main players with citruses on top, some green and woody aspects from green tea and the vetiver. This is musky, powdery, fresh scent that is done to perfection. Performance is impressive on my skin for this type of fragrance, 7-8 hours longevity with moderate projection. This is perfect everyday summer scent that you can use at the office or as a signature all year round. No one will complain and you can go crazy with the sprays. It’s very easy to like and it will get good attention. Overall, that’s the summer freshy I was looking for.. The quality is top notch, the smell is simple but beautiful and I got it in an amazing price! If you are in the market for a fresh neroli-jasmin scent you have to consider this!

Absolute hidden gem. I'm surprised this isn't more popular in Nishane's lineup. Amazing neroli scent. Sharp and cooling opening to a beautiful floral drydown. Is a really good pickup for spring and summer. Sweat/water really transforms the smell into something even better. High quality ingredients. My wife's favorite fragrance on me (probably because the jasmine lol) The only downfall is projection, being an extract de cologne and all, it doesn't surprise me. Bvlgari man wood neroli actually projects more for me than this, but the smell is a lot cheaper. I get 6-8 hours longevity easily, which is impressive for this genre. Scent - 9/10 Longevity - 8/10 Projection - 6/10

Love this. Starts with a ton of bergamot, white florals, a touch of the green tea. After around an hour, I get a lot of neroli and jasmine alongside the bergamot. I don't really smell lemon or grapefruit individually in this. Neroli and musk remain for the dry down. Great fresh unisex floral fragrance, I really don't think this leans masculine, at least on my skin. Lasts long enough, around 4-5 hours for me, on par considering 18% concentration. Projection's not the greatest but gets the job done. Blind bought this bottle at $80 for 100ml, which is definitely a steal; if you can get it at this price or lower, totally recommend.

Off my skin, this is midway between Mugler’s Cologne and TF’s Neroli Portofino. Opening leans toward Mugler. Dry down moves closer to TF. Tbh, I’m not fussed where it lands. This juice is fantastic. One of the biggest letdowns IMO was Mugler discontinuing his Cologne. I bought bottle after bottle. For that opening alone, this is worth the investment to get anywhere near that. I’ve not found a cologne or a clone that’s been able to do that since my last bottle in 2015/16. (We can’t get TM Come Together in Aus). If you like a classy summer floral freshie, look no further.

A nice straightforward white floral and citrus fragrance. Loses the citrus and becomes more of a woody and vetiver fragrance. A little masculine and mature to my nose, which I quite enjoy. Quality is really good and it’s actually really affordable for a Nishane fragrance. If you want one of the best fragrances in this category you can’t go wrong with this. Performance is really good for what it is. Nice packaging and the atomizer is great. Scent: 10/10 Projection: 7/10 Longevity: 9/10 Versatility: 7/10 Price: 8/10 Overall: 8,2/10

This is a gorgeously soapy fragrance. Don’t get me wrong there are slight floral & citrusy accords in there, but they support the amazing green/soapy melody. This smells like well-crafted natural soap, I love it. It’s not too much of any aspect, it’s very balanced. This is very unisex. I think that anyone who loves clean-soapy fragrances could enjoy this. Great versatile fragrance; it’s very easy to wear. I could see myself wearing this to the office, but also on a casual stroll on a warm day.

This is beautiful and an absolute steal at the price point. $150 for 100ml of HIGHLY concentrated juice. Definitely reminds me of neroli portofino / 4711 style fragrance. To me it smells like orange rind with underlying earthy nuances. I don’t get Jasmine but I can slightly see the tea note. But really all in all a neroli bomb! Perfect for summer. Lasts 8+ hours on my skin with heavy projection for the first 3 hours. My kind of “dumb reach” fragrance.

Well well well well well well well, never in my dreams would i ever have thought i'd actually love a Nishane scent because i strongly disagree with their dna, but this one dropped my jaw, i almost drank the 2ml sample i got, so i went and got a 100 ml, this is a delicious citrusy, creamy and buttery very long lasting and projecting summer scent. I think i might even get a second bottle for backup and i never ever get a backup bottle.... 10/10

Surprisingly good longevity and projection. Starts soft but then forms a pleasurable flowery cloud around you. It's the cologne type but heavenly unisex, pleasant and natural! It's white flowers neroli/Lilly of the valley and of course, the biggest star here is jasmine! It's not overwhelming and feminine, there's a slight comparison to Amouage Reflection Man in my mind, but it's not as dominating as the latter. Highly recommended!

Wow! This is amazing! It is an assault on the senses. Crisp, fresh, inviting scent exudes confidence and charm. Suitable for the summer, and a definite head turner. I sense lots of citrus, with wood and green woven in intricately and stylishly. The drydown make is even more appealing, as the long lasting scent follows you around for 6 hours. I love it! Rating: 9.5/10

I blind bought this trying to find something similar to Mugler Cologne, and I see a lot of similarities, but this is a more modern take on that same style. This fragrance also have two layers. I actually prefer this one over MC. Drydown is more complex and elegant compred to entirely musky drydown of MC. I can't wait to try it on a hot summer day. Love it!

It's opens up bright, clean, fresh, and citrusy. It's does remind me somewhat of Mugler Cologne. Once it dries down it becomes a lot greener and slightly soapy. No complaints about this cologne. Longevity is pretty good for a Freshies as well as performance. Nishane did well in making this cologne and it feels great adding this to my collection.

Ive always wanted a nice classic Italian style cologne, and being a big fan of Acqua Di Parma’s Blu Mediterranean line, this definitely is it for me. It’s an extremely clean and fresh uplifting scent. It has a lot of depth to it and is honestly quite unique since nothing in my current collection smells like it. Solid 8.5/10

Beautiful summer fragrance from this house. Opens with juicy bergamot with underlying lemon, after a few minutes, you can detect jasmine, grapefruit and neroli side by side. It give this a clean but not sharp soapy neroli like adp essenza which i dislike. Then vetiver here on the base is noticeable on my skin also.

It is one of those that is just fresh out of the shower clean. Neroli and citrus like most in this genre. What makes this one a better choice than the rest is that it's an extrait so it lasts all day. 150$ for 100ml is a killer price too with the impressive longevity. You get your money's worth that's for sure.

Been looking for a fresh, classic, colognia for a while, yet no matter how much I enjoy ones I find, their longevity is trash. Enter Nishane; nailed it. Fresh, clean, and long lasting. Very similar to Mugler, yet actually lasts more than 15 mins. Purchased on sale at jomashop for 70$ for 100ml

That’s a very cheerful and juicy citrusy scent: clean, tart, zesty and bittersweet. All the best facets of citrus in one place. You can also feel that it’s a blend of several different citruses because I’m also getting floral notes from neroli and green notes from bergamot. Pure joy!

This is INCREDIBLE. I normally don't really like fresh fragrances, but this is crazy good. Fresh, floral, citrusy.. it bursts with a clean and high quality bergamot accompanied by white flowers. Then it developps into a smooth, calming scent. This smells extremely high quality.

Very fresh smelling but not out of the shower fresh. Has a slightly cozy vibe that the tea and florals give but remains a great summer scent. Great value I'd say. Got mine for $100 full presentation. Longevity is great 10+ hours. Sillage is just right around the wearer 2ft

So this starts of as a clean, airy citrus blast of lime, bergamot and grapefruit. After a while it transcends into this green vetiver and neroli scent that's smells just spectacular. An amazing, versatile warm weather fragrance. Longevity 10/10 Scent 9/10 Sillage 9/10

It is my perfect summer discovery. It’s super fresh, clean and uplifting, exactly what I want on hot days. What surprises me most is how long it lasts for a fresh perfume it stays noticeable for hours without being heavy.

향린이 일때 싸서 샀는데 알고 맡으니까 더 좋은 향수같다. 그저 베티버의 그윽한 냄새가 지배적인 향수로 생각했는데 시트러스+자스민,네롤리등 화플이 어우러지며 거기에 베티버가 첨가된 느낌이다. 그럼에도 중동틱함이 묻어나오는데 왜 그런지 모르겠다.

this is really similar to Tom Ford neroli portofino. But this one has better performance.

Colognisé is a classic citrus cologne, and to elaborate on what @FirstSense below has said, it is a homage to the Turkish tradition of gifting a lemon cologne to house guests as a show of hospitality. At face value, it is a simple, good-quality, old-fashioned cologne with better longevity than its scent profile suggests, given that it is an extrait. Radiant and refreshing, it is deeply pleasant and a good option to wear in the heat. It isn't anything groundbreaking, but it is well-composed with good quality ingredients. Colognisé opens with bright citrus notes. The lemon is prominent, as expected, but is tempered nicely by the other citrus notes, namely bergamot and grapefruit. The grapefruit becomes dominant as the lemon subsides. This works really well, given the polarising nature of lemon as a note. The tea note adds a beautiful herbal freshness to the background - an inspired addition. As it develops, soft florals creep in. Neroli is a natural progression from the citric opening, more lush, floral and well-rounded than the zesty opening. Other white florals add body. There is a green-tinged edge to the florals, adding to the freshness. It becomes woody and slightly musky as it dries down, the typical progression for a cologne. Sillage and longevity are moderate. It is unisex by its nature, and is an easy reach in hot weather. A beautiful, nuanced classic cologne, I really like Colognisé, but despite how good it is, it is overpriced for a cologne, even if its performance is better than average. 4/5.

With Colognise, I'm more reminded of Mugler than Nio. As mentioned, you get a lot of bergamot here, a non-indolic jasmin, and somehow I get a clean orange blossom flower. I'd argue that I get as much of a floral opening as I do a citrus one, with lots of naturals from both categories. Despite the floral opening, it doesn't feel too feminine and they've done a good job using lily of the valley raw materials, which are all synthetic (there is no real lily of the valley flower that they can add). This doesn't come off like lily of the valley from something like Acqua di Parma Essenza, or other fragrances like Givency Eau Givenchy. (love that one by the way, but that is even more floral than this). The floral/lily + citrus is well balanced. Then I get a milky tea, but it is understated. I almost feel carrot seed oil or some orris going on here, a crunchy aspect, but it isn't gourmand, though it is a bit powdery. I'm betting they've got some ambrette seed/ambrettolide in here (musk mallow for that ever-so-slight lactonic tea note and likely mate absolute). Some musks and resins come across as play-dohy, and I get a hint of that play-doh here. I thought it would be more citrus forward, but I still like it for what it is. I'd say, if you can get this for under a 100, it wouldn't be a bad deal. Didn't "wow" me, but it's a nice easy reach for the summer. Not a monster projector and is office friendly. Almost perfectly unisex.

A beautiful and confident take on the spring/summer freshie. The bright, citrusy cloud of the opening is reinforced by a solid soapiness - that of a well-crafted bar of soap made with care. Whereas the usual freshie has a fleeting character, this opening has a clear structure. Once that structure is established, the dry-down patiently and evenly modulates to a more floral character with a definite roundness - I imagine a solid triangle morphing into a circle. While “strong,” the fragrance is never overpowering, though over-spraying may result in a dislike for some. The thing has presence. It’s on the classier side of casual, leaning into formal. Lastly, it’s very uplifting; very happy. I wouldn’t wear it if you needed to be serious or upset for whatever reason. Perfect for: 1. Breezy daytime outdoor events. Don’t get me wrong: this will be fine indoors. However, I think the best way to wear this is outside on a warm (not too hot) day with a good breeze. The seamless soap/citrus/spice mix is oddly cooling, and the breeze will help with that. 2. Patio drinks and fun conversation. It’s a mood-lifter, and I can easily see this pairing well with one-too-many orders of Tom Collins with a friend who makes you laugh.

It smells nice and comfortable. However, I am confused with all the reviews and YouTube reviews mentioning how citrus heavy this is... with the initial spray, I get heavy floral notes and musk. Citrus is very in the background and only detected when thinking about it. It smells nice and comfortable but it is definitely not a „cologne“ like fragrance. If you want to have a citrus like fresh fragrance, this is not it imo. I have batch code: 008172 Bought it last week in Germany. Nevertheless, it smells qualitative and still good and is kind of addictive... I want to smell it over and over again. On my skin it has a 1-2 stronger project and sillage. After that, around 3-4 on the skin. I would buy it again for this price and I am curious how it be on my skin at higher temperatures. Just as a reference for you all, I like (also own them) the following „summer“ scents like: Musc Panage, 4.1 LE MUSC ET LA PEAU, Terre de Hermes, Creed Royal Water, Coeur de Cologne Mizensir.

I received a sample of this from a good friend. Upon first sniff, I immediately dismissed this as a "clean powdery" scent and automatically set it aside; I'm not a big fan of powdery scents. Aside it sat, for months & months, until I was bored one day and couldn't recall the scent. .. Boy, was I a fool. I mean, don't get me wrong, I still find this clean and powdery, but not only, and not nearly as powdery as I originally perceived it to be. The more I wear it, the more I get sort of a pollen-like sweetness combined with a crisp but mild citrus rind. Call me crazy, but I get a smidge of some Hacivat DNA. Agreed, this is proper unisex, and I also find it has decent year-round wearability. Great longevity. I like this way more than I initially did. I love coming back to things to view them in a completely different light. 8 out of 10.

I’ve had this bottle for four years and have nearly decluttered it more times than I can remember. It took me a while to figure out that this is really a citrus scent for cooler weather. In high heat, the jasmine gets way too loud and almost pungent for me. But on cooler days or summer nights, it wears beautifully. It nods to classic neroli scents but isn’t redundant. The jasmine–neroli combo is softened by green tea which makes it calmer and less sharp. The drydown isn’t mind-blowing, but it does give that clean, just-showered, sun-dried sheets kind of comfort that I really enjoy. And in true Nishané fashion, it lasts all day and still projects even in cool night air, which a lot of fragrances in this style just don’t. 7/10 ✨

This is Bergamote 22 wrapped in a soft fluffy blanket! The top notes instantly reminds me of B22 (one my favorites) with lots of similar notes (bergamot, grapefruit, vetiver, musk) and the top notes come together to give the same impression of honeysuckle. The floral citruses are tamed more quickly and the dry down is quite different than Bergamote 22. Colognise is more musky and less woody and spicy, so it becomes a powdery creamy cousin to the sharpness, bright florals and woody depth of my trusty Bergamote 22. If you love the Le Labo and want a muskier, softer and less fizzy version of it, this would be perfect! It is unisex leaning ever so slightly male, but I would totally wear it as a female.

I actually slightly prefer the top notes of Colognise over Mugler Cologne because there's a sourness to Mugler that I don't love (although it goes away) that's lacking here. Made me think at first that maybe I should sell my Mugler bottle and replace it with Colognise. But Colognise loses me on the dry down - once the citruses fade away, it's a not unpleasant chemical, dryer sheet muskiness, but it's artificial and feels stiff, whereas the Mugler has more of a fresh, airy quality on the dry down. I don't like this trend in modern perfumery where coarse, heavy aromachemicals are used as fixatives to make fragrances last longer but at the expense of the overall experience.

My Favorite Take on the 4711 Cologne Formula. Colognise is exactly as the name and notes suggest: fresh citrusy neroli, with a green and floral nuance. It is a modernized version of 4711 Original Eau de Cologne that was copied numerous times. However Nishane takes that scent and modernizes it for the current time by toning down the neroli, making the scent less sharp and herbal, yet the neroli remains prominent. The jasmine adds a beautiful and mature light white-floral touch. It is neither indolic nor animalic. Fresh, citrusy, green, and lightly herbal and floral. The performance is very good for such a fresh scent. An uplifting, masculine, warm weather wear. "Like"

First impression the Jasmine is very dominant; however, Jasmine for whatever reason typical is punchy off my skin. I don’t personally think this smells similar to Nio. If you’ve smelled Eua Debonair this is similar (assuming your skin chemistry has a similar reaction to Jasmine). I’m definitely curious how this smells on others. I would be willing to bet other notes are more prominent. I agree with samosbabos regarding how to wear this in the summer. There is an alluring quality to this fragrance. I think this would be great for an evening date, or semi formal occasions vs. a grab and go office fragrance. To my nose this is perfectly unisex.

To me, this smells like a combination of Mugler Cologne, JV Artisan Pure, with hints of Nio. I think that if you have any of those already, this is probably going to be slightly redundant. This reminds me of being in a very nice hotel that has its own fragrance line or products (i.e., shampoo, hand soaps, room mist, etc.). Given the notes, I would say this is unisex, but more suitable for a man. If you can find this for under 100 and you don't have the others that I mentioned, I would snag this. Otherwise, I would skip this and probably pick up a different citrus-centric fragrance like Xerjoff Renaissance or Mancera Lemon Line

It is just an above average fresh/clean fragrance. The tea note is very pleasant in this fragrance that makes it perfect for spring, summer and early fall. I would say it’s also great to wear in the office as it’s a clean bright scent and fairly inoffensive, although the citrus notes really shine the most in it. The longevity is okay and sillage is good. If I were to describe how it smells. It kind of smells like how a citrus iced tea would taste. Very grapefruit forward that is mellowed out by that green tea note. I would say it’s a good cologne for a good value that’s not just like a regular summer shower gel fragrance.

This is the kind of fragrance I like. It starts off bright and uplifting because of the natural smelling cirtus and green tea. It gives off a definit cologne vibe. In the mid it becomes slightly creamy and fuzzy. The Lily of the Valley comes peeping. In the base I don't get a lot of vetiver but above all an ambroxan smell. When the drydown hits, which is a bit too fast for my liking, you get a faint hint of the top and mid. So the positives: great smell, natural opening, uplifting, lasts for a decent amount of time, the negative: goes pretty fast into an ambroxan dominant base.

This was a really nice citrus scent with a great, decently long lasting Neroli note doing a lot of the heavy lifting. Grounded a bit with vetiver and and musk against a nice strong citrus that is not juicy or sweet. A light powder note throughout, but not enough to detract or take real notice, just as a point of freshness. Feels out of place on the discovery pack I'm working through from Nishane (12) as it doesn't really have a twist or anything different going on. Just a pleasing nice citrus that lasts some than some others.

Not love at first sniff for me personally. Guess I'm just not a grapefruit fan. I more prefer fresh, clean, and soapy. This just wears too heavy for my taste at a tradeoff of decent performance. Maybe it could work at night or in cooler weather. I'll still use up my decant and spend some time with it. Still a high quality juice regardless of my opinion.. Update after sampling many other Cologne style fragrances I finally get this one. It is unique and definitely worth trying if you're into this style.

Very pleasant freshie with a dominant jasmine/tea note making it quite unisex and “perfumey” compared to typical cologne-style scents. Which actually surprised me, as this being marketed as an “extrait de cologne” (tf does that mean, Nishane?!) made me think it would be ultra-macho, for men too embarrassed to wear something that says “parfum”. But no, it’s a lovely floral/citrus and even a sensible (ish) price for this brand.

Simple uncomplicated floral citrus scent perfect for hot weather. The scent opens with notes of jasmine, citrus and green tea. As it starts evolving some grapefruit and Lily is detected. The perfume settles on a base of powdery synthetic musk surrounded by hints of vetiver and neroli. Nothing particularly unique but an easy reach unisex scent with moderate sillage and projection and good longevity. Enjoy!
