Fan Your Flames X

First, i have to say that this a totally different fragance depending on the weather. In summer, FyFX its an sweet aromatic aroma, you feel the resinous part of the mastic, the mint like smell of the thyme, and the rum makes his pressence strongly, all of this, wrapped in the tonka sweetness you would expect of a tonka centric perfume. Feels clean, fresh, balsamic, with a modern sweet boozy touch, making it a unique/yet familiar experience. So, you can wear it with no problems in the summer afternoons. Now, in winter, this is a totally different fragance... FyFX opens with a strong ashy tobacco aroma, wich i love, wrapped in the tonka sweetnes, the carrot earthy smell, and a chocolate like patchouly. All of this, with the aromatics giving a faint nuance, just enough to put some depth in the profile. The wifs i get all day are a smell of smoky tonka, and it feels elegant. Sweet, dry, woody, smoky, aromatic, all of that in a well rounded composition, that you can perfectly wear in a formal scenario. This is not a hoodie fragance, you need to wear it with a well composed outfit, otherwise would feel out of place. The performance its very good. Its not a beast. It gives a strong scent bubble around you, an enjoyable one. Today i sprayed it around 08:20 in the morning, and at 15:00 was still strongly present. So, a full day of work would not be a problem for FyFX. This is the first fragance i experienced that differs so much from summer to winter, two completely perfume profiles, wich makes it a unexpected all year round scent, allways, dressed up scenarios. Finally, the comparisson to the OG... FyF its a booyz, sweet, woody fragance. Its a beast, if you aply it in clothes, would stick forever. You need to wash your clothes multiple times to remove it. Its much more stronger than the X version. Also, the OG its more masculine, with a strong booyz opening, a sweet woody tobacco/coconut/tonka mid, and a delicious cedar drydown, wich its my favorite part. FyF its really strong, so, its less versatile. Not office friendly, not a everyday wear, its bold, its thick, its oily, and delicious. If you want a standout perfume, to catch the atention of other people, this will make you noticed. And that's the reason why i picked up the X version. To wrap it up, the OG and the X aren't that similar, as a lot of people already said, the X version its the daytime friendly one, and the OG its the fun/nighttime/bold one. I got my 100ml bottle for $250 last year, and, its wellwhorthy for me at that price point. I love FyFX, its a versatile, well balanced perfume, that makes its presence without scream, in a really unique and pleasent way.

I love the classic Fan Your Flames a lot 🤩 I never bought it just because it was masculine to my nose. And a classic FYF is super long lasting and has a great sillage. Even 1 spray smells for days. It makes my hubby sick because of the performance 😅 So even if I have gotten classic FYF , I would get blocked by my hubby and I wouldn't be able to use it😂 Of course I need to spend a little more time to review on this one but I can say the following as a first impression. For one thing, it smells quieter to me than the classic Fan Your Flames. I get that chewing gum feeling from Mastic very distinctly. In fact, the smell of chewing gum has always been coming to my nose since I sprayed it😃 (-and i really like it) I think they've made the masculine sides of FYF rounded in this one ✌🏻 The differences are very obvious. But it's as if the one who likes FYF CLASSIC likes this one too, but this may not satisfy the one who is in love with it. Because it's quieter than classic FYF and it doesn't have that sharp masculinity that gentlemen love. To my nose, there is a herbaceous air, probably due to the thyme note.Also mastic&carrot are most noticable notes here. Old DNA is felt from the background. It could be said to be a more summery version of the classic FYF.😃 While talking to Soner (@tan.scent) , he said "don't think of it like a coconut perfume". Absolutely I agree. Even though the coconut makes itself felt from behind, it's not in the lead role here 🥥 Besides that, I can say it's a tropical scent.🌴 If I have to wrap it up for now; Yes, if I were a man, I would be more fan of classic FYF 🤩 But as I said, the classic was too much for me and no matter what anyone said, it was a scent that would suit more for men than women. I couldn't use it on myself. This one is more suitable for people like me, who have been in love with this DNA but can't use it on themselves 🥰 If guys want a Fan Your Flames that they can use in the summer, I say go for it 🤓 (-I say this, but of course, don't expect such a fresh scent ❌) Here are my first impressions. I really love this fragrance ! You get that boozy notes in the opening accompanied by the coconut and the tonka giving it a very boozy sweet tropical vibe. Now the cocnut doesn't smell like your average coconut this is not a creamy instead is dry, ashy, and much more realistic. In the dry down the moss starts to come up and the boozy notes starts to fade off leaving you with a tobacco cocounut and patchuly sweetened by tonka fragrance. Really good stuff ! Coming to the important stuff: 1) is it long lasting ? Yes, i get 8 hours of longevity with good 2hrs of projection. The smell in the air is even better then closed up skyn. 2) is it a compliment getter ? Yes, this is a niche fragrance that is likeble by most of the poeple both in the opening in the mid and in the dryed down. 3) is ti safe blind buy ? Yes and no, this is a very likeable fragrance so i would say more than 90% of people will like this. However i blindbought this myself liking the lystnotes on the composition but truthfully the notes have the nishane take on them. it is not your typical boozy note not yor tipical cocunut not your tipical vanilla not yor typical moss... It smells rather unique for the list breackdown. 4) is it Unique ? Yes this smells totally unique even in its own genre making it the perfect occasional fragrance 5) is it worth it to buy ? Yes def worth the high pricetag in my opinion. Mark: 8.7/10 My major problem is the price, a bit too much in my opinion just a bit to much ... nonetheless worthy of the pricetag.

The warm, enveloping aroma makes it perfect for evening wear, but it’s versatile enough for daytime adventures as well.

Absolutely the opening reminds me of Le Male Le Parfum. The development of the fragrance brings out the differentiation to me, but the carrot note, which I'm assuming is what gives me an orris/iris buildup just makes this super elegant. However, the booziness and sweetness certainly give it a semi-formal vibe. I cannot get enough of the smell. It performs great, and it has more longevity than projection. Smells delicious, to be honest. Smokey coconut, some earthy tones, and a beautiful mature drydown made me absolutely go for a full bottle, for which I've paid ~$160. No smell of tropicality, nor too much playfulness. In reality, this can even be an older man event scent. I think clubbing is not the word I'm looking for, but it can really be a special occasion fragrance and easy signature for every season other than Summer days (it does work in Summer evenings). Be different, rock a fragrance like this. Anyways, get your damn nose on this. It's probably my favorite Nishane frag.

Fan Your Flames X is a variation that I really appreciate as opposed to the original, which I considered too "hard" for me and didn't really feel was for me. It may be pleaser, less complex, but wow is it good. The coconut takes on creamy and very pleasant nuances from the other notes, creating a sensual, warm and round fragrance. To my nose it is not too sweet, rather I find it refreshing in some ways, a cuddle at sunset in summer, perhaps in a beautiful tropical beach. I added it to my collection, it makes me feel incredibly sensual and lighthearted at the same time. "White Cliffs of Ruegen" painted by Friedrich, imagining the white rocks as delicious, fragrant coconut flakes.

This is a coconut forward boozy scent with some tobacco, tonka bean, and a woody dry down. This opens with a very strong rum with a creamy coconut. It smells like a coconut liqueur, almost like Malibu or RumChata Coconut liqueur. The tobbaco in this is musky and smoky. There’s a hint of that carrot and thyme but it’s only in the background, overshadowed by an earthy and sweet tonka bean. This scent is heavy but the aromatic notes help it from being too much. The dry down leans more into earthy territory with a very woody oakmoss and some fresh patchouli. The coconut booze, smoky tobacco, and smooth tonk bean linger in the dry down as well.

I love this. To me, it’s a rich, silky, sexy nighttime perfume. The opening is very coconut and rum forward, but it’s quite deep rather than cocktail or beachy. These are grounded beautiful by a hefty dose of tonka bean, as well as tobacco and patchouli. To me it’s reminiscent of a sexy beach club in the Caribbean, surrounded by rum and cigars. Great sillage.

Boozy Coconut scent that is sexy, modern and warm. Its refined and gentleman like without being old school. Has something classy about it. I love its sweetness and the lounge vibes it gives. More fall appropriate and I am really loving it. My colleague smelled it and said its unique.

Beautifully blended scent. However, it’s only slightly similar to the OG. As previous reviewers mentioned, it’s much softer, therefore less masculine, and it has less coconut and rum. Altogether, I prefer this one considering the versatility. My wife also loves it.

after tested in the store, i fell in love with this fragrance. smells like those chinese chewy coconut mochi with custard filling. its airy resinous sweet, not over saturated gourmard level of sweet. young people and Asians would love those type of smells

As a woman, I really like it. The opening is a bit in your face, but when it settles its really beautiful and sophisticated. Nice longevity

I just did a first impression on this while i was excited i kinda was underwhelmed. I get little of the og in this one. It’s like tonka sweetness with some fresh balsamicnes of the mastique don’t get much rum and coconut. Not like the og. I get some thyme touches giving it some green slight spice but this is not like the og. The og is a real man scent heavy cedarwood. Some oakmoss some rum some coconut some good tobacco. You can actually smell those notes while in this one it’s more like a mixed up version of the notes. . I kinda get some jpg scandall style sweetness in this Or le beau. I don’t know but for me the Og wins this battle.

X comes across as a softened, slightly more polished interpretation of the OG. It feels noticeably fresher, yet it lacks the darker aura and depth that define the original. If I had to choose between the two, I would still reach for the OG; it’s more intense, more enveloping, and unmistakably a full winter fragrance. That said, X is comparatively easier to wear. While it can still feel a bit heavy in the height of summer, it remains more adaptable than the OG in warmer conditions. Although mastic is listed among the notes, I personally couldn’t detect it in a meaningful way. Tag(s): fresh, polished, less dark, coconut, rum

I like this. Definitely masculine leaning but I would wear it in the colder seasons, maybe mixed with something sweet, boozy, more feminine. Edit: revisiting after trying Lattafa's Petra and while it's not that similar to be a dupe, I do smell a little bit of that in here. Though I have to say I like this more, even though it's less sweet and more masculine. Actually that might be the reason I like this more. Petra's sweetness can be overpowering but this is just right for me.

If you're after a coconut that actually interprets it as husky and dry, and not the usual gourmand sandalwood kind of take on coconut, this nails it. I looove that it toned down the volume from the original which was nauseatingly smoky to me. It's not sweet though and there's still a dusty ashy bitterness, but it's much smoother. Think pure bitter coconut oil minus the viscosity and keeping all the smoothness. I like it! But it ain't my style tho!

I really dislike the opening of this, I get some strange chocolate and aromatic concoction, but luckily the dry down is a lot better. Tobacco and tonka mostly, a little coconut and some tiny hint of thyme. Sounds weird, but surprisingly enjoyable, but the deep, deep dry down is really where this perfume shines - with its deep tonka centered scent, the aromatics turned down low, and the coconut becoming creamy.

Lighter than the original...more wearable...this is an all year scent, little heavy for high heat. Slightly reminds me of the JPG dna but still dominated by the depth Nishane blesses us with. *niche but still has that mass appeal* *Versatile* *Unisex but leans masculine for sure* Scent: 8.8/10

It's reminiscent of a warm tropical cocktail with hints of coconut and tobacco, blended with menthol-like woody undertones. Suitable for all year round. Easier to use compared to the original, not as unique though.

Starts off very earthy and boozy. It dries down nicely and becomes a sweet but dry coconut rum. I blind bought it and I have to admit... I’m not mad at this.

As a fan of some Nishane perfumes this is one of them and I see why they build this flanker because it’s name is a success! But like I expected from Nishane it’s a big dissapointment, smell and quality wise. They seemed to focus on buying marketing instead of delivering quality these days and that’s what they actually stand for: Money and buy everything with Money! Well here is the result... Fan your flames without that smokey deep tobacco.. soft, simple and very synthetic opening. It becomes more sweet and cloying and as I see someone already made the link to a Paco Rabanne.. well it does smell like a designer for sure but with horrible profile. Nothing like the OG and the performance is also bad. I don’t understand why these brands trying to push the gender neutral scents. I mean it’s ok to make a unisex perfume, but making a masculine tobacco scent a feminine flanker? I don’t get the strategy here..

The intense rum and smoky atmosphere of the previous series (Fan Your Flames) has diminished. At first opening, I detect a more distinctive lemon flavor than other citrus fruits. I smelled something close to lime and cola. The perfume then gets sweeter and sweeter, transitioning into a scent reminiscent of sweet cigarette smoke. It offers a warm tropical cocktail atmosphere with coconut and tobacco. It is more acceptable to use compared to the original, but it is not perfect.

Open is very boozy and spicy. I get a strong cinnamon scent. It is very sweet. Eventually the tobacco comes forward and it evolves into this weird combination of coka-cola and cigarettes. Not unpleasant, but definitely unusual. Eventually it all mellows into a slightly sweet, spicy, and smoky fragrance. Not bad, but not to my tastes.

as a fan of the original Fan your flames, I had high hopes, but it was just made so masculine to me, that I wouldn't want to wear it. It's like they added Le Male into this. Perhaps great for gentleman, but a hard pass to me... It is still the coconut + rum strong vibe, but with a masculine touch. Ladies, try before you buy.

This is a polarising scent. To me that ashy coconut with oak moss in the background is not enjoyable. The opening hints or a party fragrance but after a while it turns into something that is more suitable to a hermit living on a deserted island. I owned this for about 6 months and could not learn to use it. So I sold it.

This drops a lot of the personality that the original had, the warm sweet amber is gone for a cooler almost after shave like base with a dry mossy and coconut edge. It's the more masculine of the two so in theory I should prefer it but I definately do not, it's a little boring.

I like it and dislike it. The opening with a coconut is very nice, but very soon it gets tainted with ashtray-like tobacco, at least on my skin.

This is a joint review of Fan Your Flames and Fan Your Flames X. Fan Your Flames is a rich, woody, spicy and boozy scent. Coconut was hardly there for me. There was a definite smoky or burnt type of accord. It has only a subtle sweetness. Quite masculine. Performance is very good - lasting well over 10 hours with strong sillage the first few hours. Like it a lot and will be getting a full bottle. Fan Your Flames X is something entirely different. Does not smell like or remind of the OG at all. A sweeter and milder fragrance with an odd note that I can't really identify but didn't like. Comes across as feminine. Performance is good but not as good as the OG. Didn't care for the X version. TL;DR, the OG is the masculine version while X is the feminine version.

This perfume is really weird in its own sense. It reminds me of fan your flames from the middle notes, but it's a bit zesty in the top with a woody note that makes the DNA of the original fan your flames version disappear quickly. I almost feel like throwing up when I smell it or get it on my skin and get a headache. The shelf life is good and all, but the whole scent is not my thing... I stick to the original which is far better than this... disappointment of the X line here

This is a much sweeter and fruitier/tropical smelling fragrance overall. Softer, less harsh on the opening with the tobacco note pretty heavily reduced. Bordering more on a floral gourmand than a boozy tobacco scent with some coconut. Overall, rounding out the edges and making this a broader fragrance rather reduces the focal points and makes it something more passable and a bit less interesting. Definitely a step back in this one for me.

Like many reviewers, I agree that it’s more unisex than the original version — I think a woman between 25–40 could easily wear this. For me, when I first smelled it, I didn’t fall in love with it, but I thought, “It smells really good.” However, after about an hour, it became quite sweet and felt more feminine. Since it’s very sweet and doesn’t have anything refreshing to balance it out, it becomes overwhelming for me.

The opening is a very herbal tobacco — not pleasant to my nose. The herbal aspect of the tobacco calms down as the fragrance dries down but always remains in the background, which bothers me. Yes, it’s a coconut boozy tobacco fragrance. I honestly do not like the way the notes are individually made nor how they are blended. It does not come off as smooth and rounded.

I put 1ml on. It was super flat. If I dig my nose in it is a very nice smell but sorry I am disregarding it because it has no projection. Maybe this is pure extrait territory and not for me.

Opens with an interesting green spicy sweet scent. Unfortunately dry down takes a sharp u turn to a very sweet cloying powdery feminine scent. Disappointing. Stick with the original.

I bought it because it was different, but nobody liked it. Not for men or women eighter, it smells weird. Not a pleasant smell.

I am getting topical vibes in Fan your flames X. Not sure is it because of carrots and thyme but all this mixed with tobacco and rum reminds me of arab perfumes. To me, all tropical notes smell super bad and make me sick. Also, I do not know which one is worst, this X version or original, Fan your flames, which smells like the inside of the barn. They are both equally super bad. Such a waste of money for samples, but better that than for entire overpriced bottle.

The only real difference to me between this and the original is that this one has loads more amberwoods and way less charm. This actually smells like Le Beau Le Parfum, as the top notes are thinned out, cheap and designery, whereas the original, with its rich rum and multi-faceted, photoreal coconut, is one of my favourite perfumes. Cash-grab wheel-reinventing at its worst.

This is absolutely repulsive. One of a small handful of fragrances that I have actually recoiled at when I first smelled them. Smells like a really cheap designer fragrance to my nose

I typically prefer very feminine, delicate, fresh scents like PDM Delina, MJ Daisy, and Armani Yulong Cha. I visited a perfumerie that carried a lot of niche fragrances and I was shocked by how much I loved the Nishane fragrances. I ended up purchasing a sample of this perfume, which is shocking. It truly is a unisex perfume. The tobacco and oak moss give it a masculine quality but the coconut gives it a hint of sweetness for longevity. This fragrance is quite complex to my nose — I’m surprised someone said it was linear. There’s a dark playfulness to it and it smells completely different from far away vs up close. From far away, it’s lovely and walks a fine line between masculine and feminine. Think of a men’s cologne layered with Hawaiian Tropic lotion. Up close, it smells extremely earthy. Like if you put your nose to the damp forest floor next to some moss and took a whiff. This fragrance pushed me out of my comfort zone and I actually like it a lot. Maybe not enough for a full bottle though. We shall see.
