Hundred Silent Ways

I discovered this fragrance almost a year ago. Since then, I've got it as a gift for my birthday and got way more experience with it now. The opening is mesmerizing to me. Extremely bold, potent. Fruity, creamy, slightly woody and very white floral forward. The opening can be polarizing, but it's in my top 5 ever, it's that good IMO. After the opening, the fragrance settles on a creamy vanilla and floral base, I don't feel like there's really a mid section. It's creamy from the sandalwood, sweet, vanillic. The florals bring a twist that makes this very unique, with a noticeable orris. Overall, it's very comforting to me and I love it. This is a feminine leaning fragrance, especially in the opening. After the opening, I think it's more unisex, but it definitely leans "feminine" as far as marketing standards go. I still rock this as a guy, it's not too girly at all, it's very much a refined niche fragrance. Perfomance is ridiculous. After a year, I've only used like half of my little sample. The juice is so thick that it sprays very little each time, so despite having worn it a lot it just doesn't go down. It is extremely strong. Very potent, loud, opulent. It lasts forever. As of writing this comment, I sprayed this 18 hours ago. When I move my arm a bit, it still radiates and projects the scent right into my nose. I used my bottle too, one spray was enough to be extremely noticeable. Spray with caution. Overall, for the price is just unbeatable really. Extremely high quality, top notch performance .. Yes please. This is the type of perfume that we need. Oh and the comparisons to Black Opium, I just don't see it. Yeah it's SOMEWHAT similar. But man this is just so, so much better. Way better quality, performance can't even be compared, this is also way more refined. Nah, it's like comparing a 20.000 to a 150.000 bucks car. The 20.000 is very nice, but it's just not in the same league as the 150.000 one.

The sweet silence of decadent love. It opens sweet with tuberose and peach (a very velvety, creamy peach, not sirupy, not saccarine, probably we have some lactones with a majority of Gamma-Undecalactone here) that conforts me and at the same time brings me instantly in a "decadent mood" (damn tuberose, you are always the same). In the heart we have the white flowers, powdery and soft, thanks to some iris accord in the backgroud. I like a lot the take on white flowers on this fragrance because they are not overdosed (and do not bring with them any indolic nuances that can be present when you overdo jasmin and gardenia and on a sweet fragrance they can lead to unpleasant offnotes), their fruity nuances are used masterfully to underline the peach. Tuberose is still very present in the heart of the fragrance btw. The whole life of the fragrance has the same mood, the long drydown is not different, warm, sweet, vanilla sandalwood (hello sandanol!), even if the notes change the mood stays the same, resigned, conforting, with some melancholy. I must admit that I liked wearing this a lot, and even if it is labeled and sold as "feminine" due to the sweetness, I can't see a single reason why a man shouldn't use it. Four seasons, long lasting, day and night, it can be a signature scent and doesn't require any special condition to be worn, sillage is not owerwhelming, kinda okish but more on the "close quarters" side. Price is ok. A side note: the name is inspired by a line of the sufi poet Rumi "I closed my mouth and spoke to you in a hundred silent ways" (13th century).

I ordered a sample of this after hearing good things. I liked it immediately, but it wasn't love. I oscillated. I didn't like that it was compared to Black Opium. And something about it reminded me of LVEB too. It is linear, yes and I want to say it's not groundbreaking, but there's nothing quite like it. It's a beautifully reliable and consistent performer. I can't imagine a day I wouldn't enjoy wearing this. It's sweet, full, round, creamy, rich. Instantly comforting. Hard not to like. It's been a slow burn for me. Even thought I wasn't in love, I found myself reaching for the sample daily over everything else. And when it was finished I found myself longing to wear it again. Smelling it on the sleeve of a sweater, it is beautiful at every stage. The sweetness, the vanilla, the sandalwood. It's a crowd pleaser, but don't hold that against it. It's so well blended, high quality, comforting, and wears and dries down beautifully. I don't find it similar to Black Opium, it's much higher quality and fuller. Addictive, delicious, likeable, warm, welcoming. The price tag is hefty, but is it really when you compare it to the world of once great brands now acquired, diluted, and reformulated by Estée Lauder that sell at a similar price point? I don't think so. In the end I bought a bottle. I don't want to live without it in my life.

I'm really tired of the vaguely (and in some cases, overtly) snobbish reviews looking down on this fragrance for being fruit forward and for resembling Black Opium. Fruit is a beautiful smell, particularly when done right. It's done right here. Black Opium is popular and not niche, to be sure, but it's well composed and popular FOR A REASON. Now that I've gotten that off my chest, I have to say that Hundred Silent Ways is beautiful and worthy of celebration on its own. The orris, sandalwood, and vetiver beautifully anchor the white flowers, fruit, and vanilla. It never veers too sweet or screechy thanks to that anchor. The fruit, white flowers, and vanilla sing beautifully together. This is lovely, contemplative, happy perfume. A wonderful olfactory meditation on Rumi's poetry. I'm pleased to have it in my collection. For me, this resembles Ormonde Jayne Tolu as much as it resembles Black Opium. The vetiver plays a similar role to the clary sage in Tolu. The peach has a similar brightness to the amber. This is a scent worth reconsideration from those who've dismissed it, and it's a scent worth trying for those who enjoy complex fragrances that are also upbeat.

I really love this one - what a sweet, fresh opening that caught my attention! One of the best openings I've experienced - mind you, I haven't smelled that many perfumes compared to others on this site. I've gotten compliments on it but my boyfriend said it "smells nice and peachy, but just like... expensive shampoo". And I think he's right about that - because I have a sample, it was worth a try for me, but I'm not sure the price tag is justified. Don't get me wrong, I love Nishane in general, and this perfume - fruity at the top, that continues longer than expected for a top note - and fresh but cozy as it dries down - but I think this miiiight still be overpriced. Would love to try out similar ones because damn if that opening didn't make me want to try other perfumes just to get that feeling again! I think this works best for me between late winter to end of spring - agree it's not much of a summer scent, but I think it could fit in during the colder seasons from the cozy vibe but pop of freshness that reminds you of sunnier days. Don't really get the Black Opium comparison from the few times I've smelled it... maybe I'll give it another try.

This perfume is lovely, warm, delicate, very long living, but - on my skin only. After like half an hour I have to literally put my nose against my wrist to reassure myself the scent is still there. Actually it lasts on my skin forever and doesn't change much even after 12+ hours from the application, with a silage close to none. My friend I got the bottle from insisted Nishane is a beast, henceforth my conclusion is this perfume varies very much depending on individual body chemistry and not all of us are lucky enough to really enjoy HSW. Seems my skin eats up any silage and after reading some reviews of Nishane perfumes I'm prone to state it happens to many of us. I'm currently waiting for my B-612 Extrait Parfum, purchased last night and honestly I suspect the history may repeat itself with other products from Nishane, although I hope to be proven wrong. Anyways HSW is absolutely beautiful scent and I'm happy having it in my collection, it displays the most beautiful and user friendly white flowers I've ever come across. Pity on my skin it stays so intimate scent and because of that I'm not gonna repurchase it ever again.

Right now this is my #1. Sweet but classy, so feminine but also fun and a little sexy. It’s definitely sweet but not juvenile or boring. Something in here gives like a nutty almondy scent reminiscent of macarons that I really enjoy. I do understand the comparisons to Black Opium, however if this were a Mercedes-Benz then black opium would be a Kia (no shade to Kia drivers). I feel like the intention is the same but Hundred Silent Ways is far more refined and smells much more high-quality. BO always had a sickly sweet opening like invasive privet bushes and a dusty dry down on me and i think I’m anosmic to coffee in fragrance so i missed that whole part of it or maybe interpreted the coffee scent as dusty. Idk either way I don’t like Black Opium. I don’t hate it but it is not for me. The projection and longevity of Hundred Silent Ways is also far superior. The bottle is very nice and you could knock someone out with it bc it’s stupid heavy. TL;DR elevated basic bitch scent, if you want to like black opium but don’t then try this

Very pleased with this one. I'm ill equipped to comment on any resemblance to Black Opium, though. Whenever I smell Black Opium the receptors in my nose just scream YOU'RE NOT MY REAL MOTHER and act out their teenage rebellion. So while you guys smell some sort of angel juice, my nose hairs are dissolving in acid and my membranes are poked with needles. It's a bit like watching those videos on Youtube where Celine Dion opens her mouth... and blasts your eardrums with the brutal noise of a screaming goat. Back to A Hundred Silent ways: I enjoy it a lot. I'm particularly pleased with how warm and enveloping the sandalwood is. Heavy on the sweet, almost honeyed, gardenia. It's powdery in that orris-y way, not at all reminiscent of makeup or talc. Brilliant longevity, decent projection. A wonderful little number! Relaxing, warm and inviting. Edit: I... caved in and bought it. After a few tries I realized how prominent and Beautiful the vanilla is, how the sandalwood is JUST the way I like it and how excellent the performance is...

Imagine sticking your head into a bag of marshmallows. This is exactly that! If I could describe it with words it’s smells like how I’d imagine something that is “soft”. Even tho that doesn’t describe the scent it’s just what my mind envisions when smelling this fragrance just something that is calming, soothing and soft. It’s perfectly unisex, I’m wearing it as a dude lol. This is so beautiful there’s no other words other then you’d love this if you like the smell of marshmallows. I’m so glad I blind bought this, it also works as a layering combo scent which I loved the use for it even more cause now I can mix it with something like a freshy that lacks abit of sweetness. It projects decently too, it’s extrait de parfum. 10/10 blind buy, and definitely one of my best personal blind buys to date. I’m so glad I have found this scent. And I feel I’m gonna get a backup bottle soon cause I’m gonna run out quick.

Wow this is the fragrance that turned me onto white florals.. I can't get enough of it.. yes there's vanilla but the tuberose is pretty prominent it also has somewhat of a cozy creamy nutty aspect ? Probably the sandalwood.. but it's just so beautifully blended and silky smooth. I don't detect the fruit but it likely balances out the florals so that they're not cloying or too sweet. I can understand why people might get nose blind because it's a scent that isn't perfumey or in your face is settles well into your body chemistry.. but let me tell you I sprayed this on in the afternoon one day and I hadn't showered I could still smell it the next morning on the spot I sprayed it so it definitely lasts this may not be allowed fragrance but it is a lasting one. It's definitely signature sent Worthy and it could be worn year round

Black Opium? Not even close. Comparing it to Hundred Silent Ways is like comparing cheap fast fashion to timeless haute couture. Hundred Silent Ways must develop on skin a Hundred Different Ways, because I'm surprised by the reviews I've read here. This reminded me a lot of Vanille d'Iris by Ormonde Jayne. The opening is initially quite sweet, but within minutes the vetiver shines through and complements the gardenia, iris and sandalwood very well. The fruity notes do not emerge strongly on me. It's more suited to cooler weather but could be worn in most settings. In my view it leans feminine, but the vetiver might be more prominent on others. To my nose, it certainly isn't a LVEB or Black Opium. There are gourmand elements but this perfume is far more balanced and way less sugary. The vetiver note is very welcome. It is on the pricey side though. For me it's a definite like, and on the wish list for when I win the lottery.

I was curious about this perfume at first because it quotes a Rumi poem (love Rumi!) and well, the performance is really good. This lasts on me the whole day, sometimes I can even smell it the next day. When the wind wafts around you, your companions will definitely smell you. It's so fragrant and beautiful. I tried this one and Ani and I prefer this to Ani even if Ani is more unique with its ginger note. This kinda smells like the other floral perfumes I've had before but I enjoy this a lot due to its longevity and because it's so rich. Just don't overspray because too much can be headache-inducing. Also a note on the packaging, it's very classy and includes a pretty cool postcard with Turkish art on it.

Well, well, well... This is a different story to me and quintessence to my understanding on a perfume. My Top 5 all time super-perfumes alongside L'Instant de Guerlain 2003, and Champs Elysees EDP 1996, adding some credit to Delina :) and to Hot Couture Givenchy 2000. In wording: Femineity, potency, pleasure to wear, feeling comfy, confident and powerful female. Don't get me wrong - I've enjoyed and do a bunch of variable frags, often out of hype but what distinguish now that I've been craving for too long, was found worthy at HSW. The most feminine perfume I have access to, distinctive, exclusive, and of impeccable quality.

This is a very sweet and enveloping fragrance, I find it incredibly feminine, and I think most women would really enjoy it. It reminds me quite a bit of Black Opium, which I honestly regret because I used to wear BO during a time in my life I don’t love to remember. If I had discovered HSW earlier, I think I would’ve loved it even more. That said, I don’t find them identical. HSW projects better, and has a deeper, more distinctive base maybe even a touch of something slightly animalic, and definitely no coffee note. Also, it feels sophisticated and could easily become someone’s signature scent. It’s simply exquisite 9/10

At first spray I wasn’t immediately sold on Hundred Silent Ways but after it dried down, I really started to appreciate it. It smells soft and powdery, with a smooth, luxurious feel that makes it come across as classy and high quality. The white florals, like jasmine and gardenia, are noticeable but not overpowering. It doesn’t smell overly feminine to me. It’s just elegant and well done. Some compare it to Black Opium or La Vie Est Belle, but I don’t really see the similarity. This one has its own personality. It lasts a long time on my skin, but it doesn’t project very far. You won’t smell it from across the room.

One word, delicious I find the opening to be a bit masculine. Quickly going into a vanilla peachy floral. I tend to dislike peach fragrances, but this is subtle as far as I’m concerned. I am a white floral lover. And I don’t find them here. I believe that’s because it is so well put together. It is somewhat floral. I think this is very, very nice perfume. It’s kind of been my summer fragrance. In my opinion, safe for work. Lovely gift. Obviously, it’s subjective. I find the longevity to be somewhat lacking. But I keep going back for it. So obviously, I love it. Definitely value at discounters.

This fragrance is BEAUTIFUL. I am obsessed, I was in the fence based off the reviews but it smells like a high end snowflakes and cashmere by bath and body works. Which I don’t mind because that is literally my favorite fragrance from them so a more sophisticated Parfum extrait version of that is exactly what I needed. I do not see the black opium comparison, there’s no coffee here or that grape accord. This is perfect, unisex but a little more feminine leaning lasts long and can be worn in any season. I have nothing like this in my collection. It is beautiful

I actually bought this around 3 weeks ago as my first niche fragrance. This fragrance to me, is very delicate and although feminine leaning, i do think it is somewhat unisex. i wore this several times already and i am delighted to say i did get several compliments wearing this fragrance, and even though the scent is very delicate, and creamy, i find it projects quite well and i would say it probably keeps that projection for around 6-7ish hours and then stays as a skin scent for a few more hours. Definetly worth it in my opinion.

This perfume is honestly one of the best I’ve ever smelled. The peach and jasmine blend beautifully, giving it such a feminine and elegant touch. After about an hour, it turns slightly powdery, but the fruity notes stay noticeable from the very first spray. I’ve been really enjoying wearing it, even one of my colleagues told me my perfume smells unique and special, something she’s never smelled before. The performance is great too. Overall, it’s a gorgeous, feminine, and distinctive scent that’s hard not to love.

Doce na medida. Abre fresco e adocicado pelo pêssego e a tuberosa, nao sinto a mandarina nem de longe. Na evolução, a gardênia e o Jasmin se envolvem com a raiz de orris e a baunilha começa dar o ar da graça. Após uma hora mais ou menos, o sândalo aparece adocicado pela baunilha e ainda consigo sentir a raiz de orris (que eu amo) impregnada nessa essência. Infelizmente a fixação pra mim nao durou tanto, no máximo 6 horas. E a projeção no máximo 1h30, após isso só sentindo no braço perto do nariz mesmo.

This is the best womens perfume. You consider yourself a woman? Okay then buy, dont think. Dont believe the negative comments around here, their "subjective" opinion doesnt count. If I was the ruler of this world I would force all women to wear this perfume. Every woman gets a bottle of this, when being born. If you dont wear this, you get fined, or even jailed up. Not a normal jail, more like a squid game jail, where the guards are dressed up as the bottle of this fragrance.

if i could marry this fragrance i would!!! creamy, smooth, peaches with vanilla florals. so elegant and enticing, a HUGE compliment getter for me. i can understand the simiar aspects with YSL BO, but that's just when you smell it from the bottle. when sprayed on the skin it is COMPLETELY different. i detect zero coffee, zero patchouli in this fragrance. overall, it's just one of the best fruity florally vanillas out there! you won't regret taking a sniff of this!

Hundred Silent Ways is a romantic, powdery, floral vanilla. I think the orris takes it to the next level and gives it a very rounded, lush-but-cool dimension. The first hour is more floral than vanilla, but the dry down is mostly vanilla. It can be a bit much after the twelfth hour (it lasts a very long time). I bought a small decant but eventually just bought a full bottle. I love it but I don't think I'll ever use the whole thing, it's that strong. 9.1/10

Absolutely beautiful! Creamy white florals and sandalwood with vanilla.. the vanillic sweetness is very well balanced by that powdery dry quality from the orris root. Can’t feel the peach but I do get some that mandarin right in the opening. And there’s definitely something that reminds me of some kind of nut... like almonds. Sensual, warm and inviting yet not too flashy. Perfect date night scent in cold weather.

The comparisons to Black Opium were surprising to me. Black Opium is very much a coffee scent on my skin. HSW is such a happy and sweet scent - candied tuberose, vanilla, with a gentle woody dry down. I get the feeling of a sweet peach, but my nose doesn’t necessarily pick it up. Either way, I love this scent so much - feminine leaning for sure. Projects just enough, but isn’t too cloying for a work environment.

I was given a sample of this by a fragrance friend to try and now I need to add it to my full bottle list because I really enjoy wearing it. There’s something in there that calls to me in the winter months yes it’s almost syrupy cloying but in this perfume I really enjoy it. 2025 I discovered I had a thing for Orris fragrances and this one has kept up that theme. Will be very sad when my decant runs out.

I just got a decant of this. It smells just like something I have but not Black Opium which I've honestly never smelled because I'm traumatized by the memory of the original Opium nearly suffocating me in my mother's bathroom. What else is it? I have 300 bottles, but I don't know. But I've smelled this before. I really like it but if it's close to something else I have I don't need the full bottle.

When I first purchased this fragrance I could barely smell anything. I put it to the side for almost a year and came back to it and let me tell you. She's a real one.. I think this kind of fragrance is the kind that has to macerate for awhile before you really can smell it and alot of influencers aren't really saying that. Anyhow 10/10 I love her. Smells peachy and over all fresh.

I adore this scent. For a while i thought i wouldn't have a signature scent. But this! This is worthy. Such class, sophistication, elegance, femininity exudes from this scent. To those that say it's an overpriced black opium i'd say it's like comparing a Birkin to an aliexpress dupe. There is a slight far away cousin comparison only in the opening. They're very different to me

Please, it is nothing like BLACK OPIUM. It's unique and stands on its own, imo. It blowns with a hint of coca-cola type of smell in the beginning. Then immediately, it turns into cotton candy:) along with white florals -which i love- You will absolutely feel gardenia and tuberosa from the beginning to dry down.. Great longevity with moderate sillage. MY FAV TILL NOW!!

Definitely a more feminine fragrance. This almost gave me Armani Crystal Noir EDP vibes (formula with the gardenia and coconut), but the Nishane has more of a soft creaminess to it, with a little bit of spice. This is suitable for the work place as long as you don’t overspray. A great everyday fragrance. The review by InnerPeaceFound is very accurate.

جمال اناقة فخامة، عطر حبكة من الآخر، محبب للنفس، اذا كنت تحب عطور الفانيلا مع الزهور البيضاء هذا جداً بتحبه، عطر صحيح انه للجنسين لكن أرى انه يناسب النساء أكثر، بس صراحة التوليفة شيء جميل وما يشبهه عطر، رغم ان البعض يقولون فيه تشابه مع بلاك اوبيوم، ما اعتقد، فهي فروقات، هذا فيه عمق اكثر ونقاء اكثر، اداءه جميل ويستحق التجربة والشراء.

I've worn this twice to the dentist and the first time the dental assistant complimented me, and the second time the ladies in the waiting room said "Something smells so wonderful in here". Then after my cleaning, the Dental Assistant said "You smell so beautiful!" to which I had to let her in on my secret. hehe

I need a lifetime supply of this. I want to roll in this. I need a 200ML bottle to be made. It does well at what it was created to do. Smells good, lasts long, and garners compliments. This and black opium really don’t smell alike when compared side by side. This is a million times better in every category.

Sexy, feminine, some would say it is a bit basic, but I think it is classy and elegant. Pricey, which is why it would be in my "special occasions" collection, but I would definitely feel like THAT girl wearing this. It is powerful, bossy and tender at the same time. Love love love!

I was so excited to try Nishane's Hundred Silent Ways, clearly knowing it’s a favorite of my partner. The creamy blend of peach, jasmine, and vanilla feels warm yet sophisticated. It’s advanced without trying too hard and lasts all day without needing a touch-up.

It actually doesn’t remind me of Black Opium, at least only a small percentage...It reminds me rather of a softer version of BBW - into the night and also Attrape-Rêves by Louis Vuitton. It smells delicious and pretty but on my skin it doesn’t project...

Real special. On my scarf, peach and sandalwood are the standout notes - and what a lovely combination! On my skin, it smells like a hybrid of Green Stravaganza, Yum Boujee Marshmallow, and Black Opium. Hundred Silent Ways is perfection. Obsessed.

I see people that says ''Its not long lasting etc''. The thing is, this perfume makes the wearer nose blind. Tested couple of times, I smell myself after an hour and litterally cant smell anything but people can still able to smell HSW heavily.

I personally see this as a floral perfume with a little sweetness from the vanilla and fruits. This is not a gourmand fragrance. You must like white florals. I really like it though but I thought from the reviews it would be much more vanilla.

white floral heaven with the most addictive juicy peach & vanilla. i want a whole bottle for summer so bad, i accidentally spilled half of my sample on my arm before going to the beach and fell in love with her one last time.

If i don't 'know what to wear, i always choose this one. It is suitable for every occasion. Very good performance, sweet feminine smell. I have received a lot of compliments, especially from men.

There's a reason a lot of people love this scent profile. It's just easy to wear. It's pretty and soft. I definitely get the tuberose and sandalwood. You really can't go wrong with this one.

I can’t pick too many exact notes in this but it’s rich, floral and decadent. Strong projection and the lasting power is great. It’s a perfect date night scent and I find it super addictive.

I completely overlooked this one because of the hype. But then I tested it at the airport and yes, it’s another sweet floral perfume but it’s done so tastefully. Elegant and grown-up sweet.

Best date night perfume. Seductive and sensual, gives rich girl vibes. I could wear it in any season, maybe not in the summer, but it's a great fit for all as it is very versatile.
