Munegu

This is the first time I've ever owned a full bottle of a NISHANE fragrance and although I knew these fragrances were released at Extrait concentration, I didn't realise just how potent they are. This juice is dense, rich and thick like a British Christmas cake. It oozes patchouli and labdanum and has the requisite booziness and leathery darkness. However, like a cake, there is also an abundance of fruit and spices. Nutmeg, orange, cardamom and cumin give a sweet and nectar-like fecundity. This smells of ultimate luxury with its musky warmth of resinous olibanum and amber. Lastly, a sprig of flowers (ylang-ylang and geranium) decorates and garnishes our cake, adding a ping of freshness and a surprising prettiness which balances out the syrupiness of the other notes. Múnegu's indulgence takes you hostage and drops you into a cornucopia of oriental and exotic ingredients. Don't fight it. Dive in.

The inspiration for this seems to be Giorgio Red For Men. To be sure, the quality here is superior to the current formula of Red and this is a great fragrance in its own right. It also has a resemblance to another fragrance inspired by Red: Montblanc’s sadly discontinued Exceptionnel. Starts with a spicy, orangey, woody patchouli punch in the first half hour and then mellows out to the ambery drydown described below. The drydown has A distinct unisex floral freshness that lightens the Amber. It’s the type of amber that seems to prolong the opening orange note. At the 10 hour mark the Amber settles on its vanilla skeleton and the ambroxan interacts with the remnants of the patchouli for an intoxicating finish with a little bit of push still. Interestingly I don’t get much cumin or nutmeg, the opening spiciness seems to be more caraway and cardamom in that first hour.

Cumin, patchouli and amber at its finest! At the opening cumin is the most prominent note and then it starts blending with a clean and almost minty patchouli if that makes sense, these two notes stay for a good amount of time until a beautiful, slightly powdery amber note mixes with them in the drydown. That warm spicy feeling stays throughout the entire life of the fragrance and i enjoy each phase as it slowly blends with other notes. I don’t have any issues with the longevity and it projects for a good 2-3 hours before it becomes a skin scent (i would want it to project more tbh). Overall, Munegu is what i would call an artistic niche fragrance which will feel like a warm hug in the cold weather and one of, if not the best creation from Nishane.

I'm really enjoying this one. It's quite unique and unmistakably masculine. The opening is a dirty orange/patchouli. It presents slightly animalic because of the contrasting notes. During the drydown, the amber and floral tames and smooths the mixture while still allowing it to project and retain its unique qualities. I don't detect a smoky note, but I can see how the contrasting notes could lend to such a feel. This is certainly best fit for colder days and nights. I think this is slightly mature and very unique. Very pleased and highly recommended. 8/10

This is an amazing perfume from Nishane house. It is dominant on patchouli. The opening is a bit strong on cardamom and cumin notes but it will settle within 1 to 2 hours. The base is a sweet patchouli/tobacco/amber combination with very soothing and calming effect! Longevity is excellent. I get 8-10 hours on skin and >24 hours on cloths. Projection is very strong and two sprays are sufficient to last a whole day. In short Munegu is an excellent offering from Nishane for patchouli fans.

People use the terms "Beastmode", "Nuclear", unjustifiedly in describing other perfumes. This perfume is all about the mids and it definitely has "that cumin" accord at the open. Regardless, an ARTISTIC and beautiful perfume. Lasts so long.

Nice combo of ingredients, mixed perfectly. East to wear, day or night, office, date or casual. Very versatile. Thumbs up!

A powdery Floriental with monstrous projection, this is quite a show stopper from Nishane. The perfume opens with notes of tangerine and cedar. It moves to a heart of geranium and ylang-ylang flowers surrounded by spices. The perfume settles very quickly into a powdery patchouli and synthetic amber base surrounded by hints of incense, labdanum and tobacco. As usual Nishane amps these accords up with synthetic boosters to create a unisex perfume that has enormous sillage and projection and lasts forever. Recommended for lovers of floral woody musks and also doubles as a nice introductory Oriental. Very pleasant but not groundbreaking in any way. Please go easy on the spray button and enjoy cautiously!

Sweet amber patchouli with a strong Coromandel style and full of oriental spices. Initially dirtier and more masculine than cumin, then evolves comforting, sweet orange, into a buttery and spicy oriental veil. I get nutmeg, olibanum, cedar, labdanum. Distinguishable. Powerful, with a retro powdery touch from the 70s and a feminine amber sweetness. Get better as you evolve. Well made. Classic. Not for teenagers.

I'm surprised by how much I like this (I don't usually like patchouli)! It's spicy, tangy, and dark, but easy to wear.

Hmmm Munegu is my first Nishane and boy is it Niche. Complex and confusing at first. I wanted to try something a little different and this was .. well... different. I did not smell the orange in the top notes at all... that escaped me. I did smell the spices and the woodsy elements, but not the tobacco not the floral note. What Munegu reminded me of was Shalimar. Another challenging fragrance in my collection albeit, a lot less expensive than Nishane. Overall, it didn't project on my skin at all. It just kind of "sat" there and I sat there waiting for some sort of performance. No projectivity, no sillage ... no longevity ... well maybe 2 hours. Additionally this leans more "typically" masculine, which is not bad if it were sweeter. I don't think this will be staying in my collection because it is not a "LOVE". ... So... yep, I will be passing it along.

I see the Coromandel comparisons, but this is way more powdery. This is what Chanel-quality baby powder must smell like. That is not a bad thing, but I'm not a big fan of powdery fragrances so it's not for me.

یکی از اونهایی که حسابی پیش پچولی باز های هموطن هایپ شد ، آیا مونگو نیشانه به غیر از پخش و ماندگاری بالا و بمب گونه اش چیز دیگری برای ارائه داره؟به مشام من یه کاره امبری بالزامیکی ادویه ای و چوبی با محوریت پچولیه که فضای زیره ای صابونی آلدهیدی با حداقل هارمونی در کنار رایحه ی میوه ای و آلو مانندی که حالتی مصنوعی داره و از کمترین نوآوری هم برخورداره ، این حجم از ادویه با دوز بالای فلفل و زیره و جوز هندی کافیه تا فراریم بده ، اساسا وقتی اینچنین با انبوه ادویه جات روبرو می شم که از کمترین ظرافتی برخورداره و به این شکل بی هدف و پر از حاشیه اس احساس می کنم عطار محترم ناتوانی اش رو در ایجاد هارمونی و طراحی خوب با حاشیه سازی و سردرگم کردن مخاطب پنهان کرده ، این تصور من از شروع این عطر هست ، در قلب مونگو کمی حضور گرانیوم و لابدانوم تپنده و رضایت بخشه و هل چهره ای اسموکی و تاریکی داره ، فضا گلی تر و دلنشین تر می شه و هاله ای از تنباکو هم خودنمایی می کنه و به تدریج تنباکو قوت می گیره ، به زیبایی با لابدانوم میکس شده و رایحه ی شبیه به توتون سیگار با کیفیت رو داره ، ترکیب تنباکو‌ و لابدانوم اینجا رایحه ای رو ایجاد می کنه که برام از محبوب ترین رایحه هاست ولی همچنان ساختمان اسپایسی مونگو اجازه نمی ده حظ کامل رو از این آکورد زیبا ببرم و‌ مدام بایستی در زیر لایه های ادویه ای و چوبی و گیاهی تند دنبالش بگردم ، از این مرحله هم که گذر کنیم با فضای رزینی عطر روبرو می شویم که پچولی هم بیشتر شکل نعنایی به خودش می گیره که البته اصلا فرش نیست و تند و تیزه ، در درای داون مونگو همچنان با حفظ ساختار گیاهی و بالزامیکی خودش شکل شیرین تر ، دارچینی وانیلی و پودری و کمی انیمالیک پیدا می کنه...از این واقعیت نباید بگذریم که هر تعریفی از هر عطری کاملا وابسته به سلیقه و معیار های شخصیه و برای درک هر عطری نیاز به تست چندین باره اش داریم ، مونگو فضای تاریک و دودگرفته ی دخمه ای پر از گیاه خشکیده ، ادویه ، میوه ی خشک و صابون های دست ساز رو برام تداعی می کنه که شاید ممکنه این فضا متعلق به عطاری های محلی و خاصی در کشور ترکیه باشه ، مونگو هارمونی که از یک عطر انتظار دارم رو به هیچ وجه برآورده نمی کنه و اساسا در کتگوری عطرهای مورد علاقه ام قرار نمی گیره و اینکه مناسب چه پوشش و چه موقعیتی باشه برام مبهمه ، از پخش بالا و ماندگاری بسیار خوبی بر خورداره و به نظرم روزهای سرد پاییز زمان خوبی برای پوشیدنشه امتیاز 4 از 10

This is a patchouli bomb. It's more tolerable and lighter than Chanel's Coromandel but they are close relatives in the patchouli family. Both have some sharp, citrusy notes in the opening as well. Munegu offers quite a few spices that remind me of LADDM by Tauer. Unfortunately, it's not the type of scent I'd wear. Excellent performance.

مونگو ی عطر تماما پچولی محوره. دوز پچولی تو این کار اغراق شده . زیاده. حتی عاشقان نت پچولی هم شاید فراری بده . منتول ماده موثره تیره نعناییان تو این کار بشدت حس تیز و زننده ای رو ایفا میکنه برای حداقل نیم ساعت. زمان زیادیه. تصور این حس تند و تیز و سوزان از پچولی در کنار حس فرار روایح اسپایسی اونم از نوع تند و تیزش مثل فلفل و هل و زیره بازم وحشتناکتر میکنه کار رو . با این همه در نیم ساعت اول مونگو چیزی جز بوی ی عطاری قدیمی که تازه ادویه آسیاب کرده نیست. معمولا تو عطاری ها ی سری روغنهای هندی و پاکستانی و چینی هست که مسکن درد هستند . ترکیب وازلین و نعنای هندی. یا به قولی بوی ویکس. تا نیم ساعت اول فضا همینه نه بیشتر نه کمتر . تلخ . تند . هربال. . بازی نت ها تو این عطر یخوده کند انجام میشه و لایه بندی نسبتا سنگینه. پرده دوم نمایش یا قلب عطر. بازم با محوریت پچولی و کمرنگ شدن حس تیزی اسپایس ادامه پیدا میکنه ولی کمی حس فلورال و فلزی پیدا میکنه. . ژرانیوم همیشه حس بوی فلزی و سرد و تیز و نفس گیری داره تو ترکیبات اما بشدت معطر. روند بازی عطر ادامه پیدا میکنه تا پیدایش اکورد کهربایی. همه اون ترکیبات بالا رو تصور کنید که تو اکورد کهربایی فرود میاد.ولی کماکان پچولی حرف اول رو میزنه . اینجای عطر یا پرده آخر. تقابل دو تا نت برجسته تره. وانیل +پچولی فضای کلی عطر در درای داون رزینی پودری کمی شیرین که متعادل میشه تازه بعد از یکساعت. نمایش ی جنتلمن با کلاه و بارونی که سایه اش از پشت چراغ رو دیوار مشخصه. مردونه . جدی . اخمو. با اینکه حس پودری و رزینی تو درای داون مشهوده ولی زره ای از عبوسییت عطر کم نمیکنه و کاملا مردونه و سر سخت پیش میره. من خیلی به یاد ادکلن قدیمی از ژووان بنام سکس اپییل می افتم وقتی این عطر مونگو به درای داون میره. ماندگاری بسیار عالی روی پوست داره و نشر بوی انفجاری تا چند ساعت اول. ولی حس زیبای رایحه از ساعت دوم به بعد نمایش داده میشه که تا ساعتها ادامه داره

First impressions: Patchouli, but a lot more cedar in the opening. Becomes more ambery after 5 minutes. Cedar makes way for the spices, patchouli become prominent with a hint of nutmeg and cardamom, slowly after some time cumin rises and takes its place, alongwith patchouli and nutmeg. Amber stays the same. Becomes more powdery now. Some faint florals, can't put my finger on which ones. Patchouli is not chocolaty like Coromandel or Psychedelique. Both i like. This is spicy patchouli with some amber. I like this as well. More spices less sweetness, cumin gives a vibe of Tango minus the patchouli but not bad in any way, hardly detectable. Patchouli is the main player. Dark green color comes to mind. More like a masculine Coromandel but not a clone of any sort. Longevity of this one will be amazing. Now it is not changing much. Settled with 80% patchouli, 15% amber sweetness and 5% spices. Good balance. Man! Am getting constant whiffs of Oud Monarch sprayed on the other hand. I feel like i am in trance right now. Such beautiful fragrances.

The first half reminds me of a couple of Tauer scents with that characteristic dry, sweet tart candy effect. I really don’t know what notes create this kind of smell (rose and violet?) but another perfume that features it is Armani Prive Charm. It’s a really nice contrast to the drydown which is a gentle, cuddly patchouli that is easy to wear. This is only the second Nishane I’ve tried ( the other Afrika Oliphant which I really like) so I look forward to trying more from this house. Perfect for today, Halloween, and great for people who don’t usually love patchouli.

After the spiky first blush of notes with standout cardamom and orange, Munegu dries down to a nice warm resinous presence with a hint of booze. I sprayed this on the top and underside of my wrist, and it smells sweeter on the inside of the wrist, which is an interesting characteristic I haven't observed with a fragrance before. The dry down is subtle, and this doesn't seem like a fragrance that will project a great distance, but will remain a warm and close steady presence. Quite lovely, indeed. Onto my "want" list this one shall go.

Una nuvola di spezie soffuse d'incenso e arancia. Molto cardamomo e noce moscata in espansione lenta e costante. Lo trovo simile ad Aziyade PdE nella sua esistenza speziata... Anche se in Aziyade trionfa la nota fruttata (datteri e frutta secca a profusione, squillanti...), mentre in Munegu l'incenso prima ovatta e sopisce frutti e fiori e poi fa emergere una bella nota di liquore Cointreau. Gradevole e raffinato.

در اينكه اين عطر خيلي قوي هست شكي نيست، ولي من با وجود اينكه اصلا عطراي تند و تيز رو نميپسندم و كاملا عطراي همه پسند رو فقط خوشم مياد از اين عطر خوشم اومد. قوي هست ولي اينكه زننده باشه يا بوي زيره واضح داشته باشه يا جوري باشه كه ديگران رو اذيت كنه... من بعيد ميدونم. البته روي نظرات افراد حرفه اي تر جسارت نميكنم

This will be brief and here is why. I CANNOT TOLERATE THIS SCENT ON ME at all. If sour spicey nutty arabic scents is your thing than by all means try this, you might like it. I dont have many scents that I have sampled to be scrubbers but this is one of them and I really had high hopes for this one. :( 2/10
