Oudous Lux Solis

The accords for this are completely wrong, it is in no way citrus fresh - most predominant note (after 30 seconds of something fruity) is oud, and then that’s it for the entire wear. Anyone saying this fragrance reminds them of Tygar has to be insane

Great tropical all year round scent. Beast mode, especially on clothes. Initial opening is harsh but settles after 30-60mins

My sister has her internship at Harrods and managed to steal 15 samples for me. It smells like a refined tropical lunch, like the ones you buy at Harrods that cost 40 pounds. Powerful lasting power and spillage is very good. Can be used in winter which it will be the best I believe. I ain’t paying all that so my sister will get me a tester bottle. Until

Just tried at Harrods, so this is a hot take. Apparently I am insane, but this starts as Vibrato with extra ginger, pineapple and creamy tendencies. As it settles, it steers towards an Erba Pura vibe + akigalawood. The pomelo and honey give it a strong "gummy bear" aspect. 12h+ longevity. In the late dry down, I can smell some kind of very faint smoky-dustiness, which may still be coming from the akigalawood. No perceptible signs of oud, unless you are very imaginative! Thankfully, I can save my money... I much prefer other works in Nishane's lineup and others from Fernandez. Do you like derivative long-lasting sweet bombs? This may be one for you. PS: for some reason, I see that Oud Maracuja is being suggested as similar. Usual trolls? There is no leather nor a distinguishable passion fruit in Lux Solis.

This is extremely strong and long lasting. The opening is indeed quite fruity and might be perceived fresh but there is a note that I do not really like (probably the oud) and it lasts from the opening till the dry down. Reminds me a bit of hay mixed with the smell of a barn or even farm animals. Any comparisons to fresh fragrances like Blue Talisman or Vibratto are completely missed as it definitely is not a fresh fragrance in general. To me it is way too sweet and too strong to be used in warm weather so I would only wear it in winter. It's so strong that it actually gives me headache after a while. Overall, I do not like this fragrance. I think Favonius also used to be a Harrods exclusive at some point and I like that one much better. On the other hand, my wife loves Oudous Lux Solis and she got a full bottle for herself. If you're interested in this one, I would recommend to test if you get a chance. Definitely not a safe blind buy.

Have any of you even smelled this? The predominant note here is MOST DEFINITELY NOT oud. There's ~zero oud here. It's also nowhere near Tygar and there's nothing here to even warrant a comparison to Favonius. You can instantly tell that this is Jordi Fernandez copying his catalogue from Crivelli and Ex Nihilo. It opens fruity-synthetic-sweet, exact same tropical fruity accord from MC's Oud Maracuja. That accord is mixed with akigalawood and calone, i.e. it's VERY synthetic. So the opening is mainly Oud Maracuja with some Blue Talisman cross-over. Initial transition is candied sweet fruitiness which does imply ginger, but for the love of god, the inclusion of ginger doesn't automatically make for a Tygar dupe... When I smell it up-close, my first idea was that it reminds me of Castley, esp. Castley in the opening where you get that fruitiness (ginger) opposed by the synthetic akigalawood note. Castley also has a spiciness which isn't featured here (and Blue Talisman features floral tones which also aren't present here), but that's the game we're playing - there isn't anything exactly like this in the market, you just have to draw pieces together to get a better picture. As it goes into the dry-down, there are some nuances of Ani X's fruitiness. On-skin, the patchouli is fairly prominent alongside the akigala at first - these two give the fruity notes strong lift. The patchouli is not well-executed, just like how it isn't done well in Hacivat Oud nor the original Hacivat. But then the fruity notes mostly fade away and the scent is left exposed with mild fruitiness alongside white musks, akigalawood and calone... essentially a blending disaster. Final dry-down I would also place somewhere around FdB's Tropiques (which is adjacent to the Erba Pura profile), given the very plain musky dry-down. By any objective measure, this fragrance BLOWS. Every existing akigalawood fragrance in the market is executed smoother than this (incl. Blue Talisman, Castley, Ganymede, Purpose, and so on) and the fragrances that Oudous Lux Solis is competing with are miles ahead in blending. F-tier fragrance.

Then it changes where a woody floral vibe with leathery nuances start to appear & increase progressively together with appearance of Oud accord ( not funky or animalic but fruity sweet one )...it is lovely & addictive...& Unisex.. Broke into Harrods just to take a massive dump on the fragrance counter, while I was using Creed boxes to wipe my angry trumpet clean i managed to snag a shit ton (literally) of samples of this fragrance. The top notes invoke the beautiful smell of a new teenagers bedroom after he discovers the hub and the real purpose of lotion. Salty, sweet and has a weird hint of pennies. The middle of the fragrance invokes drunk nights at your local Popeyes where you get irrationally angry because your no longer talk to your dad and hes a son of a bitch..... ANYWAY the bottom notes of the fragrance once again smell straight up like a goon sesh with no lube. Just tears and rug burn. 5/7 Perfect Fragrance needs more rice

In the opening, a bitter, grapefruit, pomela note greets us. Then it evolves into a tropical fruit cocktail. The fruitiness of Oud Maracuja is definitely copied here, I get the same tropical mixture. But the oud is tuned down. This one is not animalic and the oud usage is minimal. It could be called the summer/fresh verison of Oud Maracuja. 7.5/10 To me, this one and its sister release smell identical in dry down and they both like something from Montale/Mancera. I expect more from Nishane.

What are these reviews bro 😂 Now going based of the note composition it seems like a distant cousin of the Oud line from Maison Crivelli, likely to be an all year around frag. Can't wait to blind buy this and give it a fair review.

if you like tropiques but want a more masculine woody leather undertone, get this. performance is excellent. All season scent.

A worse version of favounis. Favounis is brighter and easier to wear. Don't get the high rating.
