Refined amber incense with pepper notes, sophisticated trail.

Si vous avez deja senti de l'encens Hojari d'Oman C'est exactement la meme odeur , frais , citroné et très poivré à l'ouverture. Tres bien réalisé , magnifique. Malheureusement l'encens reste proche de la peau , projette tres peu voir pas du tout et ne laisse aucun sillage. Mais l'odeur est splendide ✨

Fresh yet gentle pale incense amber As i have mentioned in my other reviews of the brand, these are largely monothematic simplistic fragrances attempting and mostly succeeding in evoking a particular setting. While the entire range is very appealing, Berbera and Grand Ile were the two that felt excessively safe. Having experienced North and East Africa several times throughout different times of the year, I feel rather transported to an hippie/ethnic themed knick knack store rather than a marketplace packed with incense smoke. There is little in terms of frankincense, too much woody ambery smoothness in the back. The myrrh opoponax dry down is somewhat more inspiring, but i definitely expected more depth here, particularly when it comes to an ingredient that is as complex as frankincense and myrrh that can range all the way from coniferous citric too earthy and fungal. Definitely not bad, good quality and blending, just somewhat lacking in vividness and inspiration for me personally. I would still gladly wear it if received as a gift.

Berbera is a very nice and relaxing to wear spicy, woody, oriental incense fragrance. This is the best one from the line if you're asking me. It smells like unburned incense, smouldering woodchips, nutmeg & pepper spice, and cedar tree sap, layered over a big dose of Iso E Super - which I personally don't mind. I find it's all really calming, tranquil. Taking it's inspiration from Africa there's not a hint of church or liturgy in here, at all. Berbera seems to be for the people that want an incense without any liturgical associations and lovers of evocative woody fragrances alike. Thumbs up.

The sophisticated sibling of Andy Tauer's Incense Extreme: a beautiful, resinous, balsamic, woody fragrance with a puff of smoke and the tiniest hint of sweetness to soften its edges. Chic, quiet and understated, it's a pleasure to wear. Don't be mislead by its 'amber' categorisation; it stays miles away from anything cloying, oriental or amberwoody. Longevity is excellent, its sillage is pleasant and discreet.

Notably similar to CDG Wonderwood. Smooth, balmy elemi forward scent with the tingle of pepper and frankincense. I prefer Berbera as it feels a bit more rounded and expansive than my memory of the former with more citrusy tones and soft white musk. There's a feel somewhere between linden and galangal to it I enjoy. Solid.
