Nivea Eau de Toilette

I have had this for some time and never bothered to review it. I do love it and I wear it often to bed and first thing in the morning. Makes me feel fresh and clean and brings back childhood memories , makes me feel safe ,secure and loved. It's the only cream my mom ever used on us and I used it until I moved to Canada. Here it was slightly different and I stopped buying it. , the odd time I bought a tin while on vacation in Germany. This fragrance is pure pleasure to me. I love the smell of Nivea cream and this is very very similar if not the same. Since everyone knows the smell of the cream there is no need to write a long review other than it's a great job they have done with this perfume. I went to Berlin past summer and they had a whole Nivea Store !!! Was amazing , wanted to get several things but my families interest wasn't as keen as mine and I didn't want to stay in line. Love the powdery clean creamy smell with a powdery lavender opening. So innocent and lovely !

It’s almost a classic. How do I describe it? It smells exactly like that Nivea cream from the blue tin that everyone knows. Maybe an odd choice, but somehow, whenever I wear it, people always ask me what it is and why it’s so comforting and familiar. They can’t quite put their finger on it. Perfect if you have to meet and communicate with a lot of new people, even in a business setting, and make a good impression on them (might even help you secure that deal). They will gravitate towards you without knowing why. I don’t know how or why the classic Nivea blue tin smells so good, but I’m so glad they made it into a perfume. The cream has been a bestseller for decades and is still super popular, so turning that scent into a fragrance was a smart move. If you love the classic Nivea smell, this one’s a no-brainer.

If you've ever owned a Nivea cream, you know what this scent smells like. It is slightly less creamy -fair enough. It's not a cream-, and has a strong opening that made me believe that I wasn't going to like it for a couple of minutes, but it then settles into, well... Nivea! It gets creamier/sweeter with time and I love spraying it on me on days when I stay home, after a shower, before I go to bed, etc. It's calming, nostalgic and a great choice for days when you want to smell clean but not necessarily make a statement with your fragrance. It's true that it feels like a skin scent silage-wise soon after you spray it, but I wouldn't have it any other way. It's also true that it lasts for about 2 hours or so, but at this price, I don't mind re-spraying! I think that I will always have it in my collection.

The ultimate comfort scent in these turbulent times. As many of us, I too grew up with the scent of the blue tin. The Nivea scent has been a sort of staple, however, I never really liked the texture of the cream, and for some reason most Nivea products (creams, lotions, deodorants) tend to turn sour on my skin. So I learned to stay away from them, but sometimes I crave the Nivea comfort scent. Some reviewers asked who might be this EDT for. Well, I think it is for me. It is the cream experience without the white greasiness. The bottle is nice at first sight, but it is not my favorite though: it is opaque, so I can't see how much is left, and the white bottle gets a worn-out look too easily (I travel a lot with it). But otherwise it is nice. Happy!

I finally got my hands on this beauty, and all I can say is - exactly what I expected! Not to go into details describing top, middle or base notes (since I can't seem to pinpoint any in particular anyway), I'll just keep this review simple and say that after the inital spray it smells like Nivea body lotion, and later more like Nivea cream (blue tin). I have no idea how they managed to acomplish that, but I'm sooo happy it worked, since the scent of nivea products in general is amazing - clean, powdery and inoffensive. It's associated with beauty, health and tenderness throughout the world. That said, my only objection goes to its longevity and sillage (both poor), but that's how it usually is with the perfect ones, isn't it?

Nivea EDT does indeed smell like the classic blue nivea but only for the first 30-50 minutes. It smells very similar to the Nivea deodorants too. Unfortunately it has approximately the same longevity and projection too. To bring out the powdery notes and extend the longevity I tend to layer it with Soavissima. Such a shame it does not last longer or project more. It is a very wearable and comforting scent, the presentation is lovely too. Costwise, if you can get hold of it (got mine from amazon.de), I guess it is quite pricey for what it is, I wonder how much one is paying for the brand name?

I love this perfume. I would disagree with people who wrote that is not long lasting. I think it last quite long time (trough ours it's get better and better). I love it especially in the spring or summer time, but you can also wear it trough out whole year7seasons. It is comfy, warm yet so clean and fresh. It compliments PH in my skin and also it mix with my skin so nicely. I could say it almost melts in to my skin. I did get a lot of compliments wearing this perfume. I am on my second bottle and it will always be in my collection.

Yep, smells like Nivea cream. I didn't know I wanted to smell like that until I bought this, and then I bought a back up bottle because I liked it so much. Delicate, powdery, flowery, comforting. Perfect for bedtime, especially after you've had a bath. @dabatch - It's available in the UK, too, on the Nivea site - often sold as a bundle with Nivea Sun EDT, which is also worth getting IMO.

This scent is so interesting, because at first sniff I really liked it, it’s so nostalgic, but then I oversprayed it and it made me nauseous. I then came back to it a few days later and I’m so glad I did, because now I really love it. It’s very powdery, and for me as a millennial that grew up with very aquatic and fresh fragrances, it took some time to get used to it.

It does smell like Nivea Creme, but with a perfumey twist. I don't smell any of the citrus people are mentioning (thank god). It smells clean and soapy. It's both creamy and powdery. Very fun! I actually fell in love with it after wearing it for a few days. I'll definitely repurchase it. (Not similar at all to Solinotes Cotton Blossom—I actually hate that one.)

Absolutely love this. It can be addictive because it's nostalgic..It reminds of better years that will never return..Calming, discreet skin scent that reminds of Nivea cream and that's just wonderful. Very different with a signature of its own. Does not give headaches and can be worn anytime you feel like.

Highly calming with a Madeleine-de-Proust effect, it’s a pure and unreasonable love for me. A got several compliments and enjoy the « blue » smell bubble. I must add that the Nivea « Fresh and Natural » deodorant has exactly the same result, I use it to enhance the EDT during the day. <3

I do wear this on its own, but I think it is a perfect scent for layering. It has the ability to soften stronger and pointier scents. Also great for spraying on your bedsheets before going to sleep - just because it’s so calming and nostalgic. Maybe you’ll dream of your childhood days?

Vintage scent profile, in the best possible way. It does smell like a perfume version of Nivea cream. I love it. It's the ultimate clean sheet, fresh out of shower, fresh laundry scent. Amazing!

This smells insanely good. I was very surprised. It smells exactly like the creme, but maybe better. Very creamy, slightly sweet, floral, and very clean. It's perfect for me.

Underrated scent for sure. definitely smells like the Nivea cream. So if you want to smell like that, this is for you. I didn't care for the Sun version.

give it a while to dry down and it smells exactly like the classic blue tin nivea cream! doesn’t last very long on my skin but lasts ages on clothes.

This perfume truly smells like the cream! My husband uses Nivea's deodorant. I associate it with feeling clean, safe and comfortable.

When I want to ... s t r e t c h ... my bottles with precious drops of 'Buduoir' and 'Daphne', I use 'Nivea' 🤍

My father used to bring my mother "real Nivea" in the dark blue containers from trips to Europe and South Africa in the days when the Nivea products sold in the U.S. smelled just a bit off, at least to mom. Today, I happily use Nivea men's products from Germany because they smell good and work well. So when I saw that I could easily and inexpensively acquire the Nivea EdT, I happily bought one, as others have noted, for reasons of nostalgia if nothing else. What I got was a delightfully presented scent that mimics Nivea blue package products but which adds a nice trailing rose note to the heart and an amped up powdery note and some aromachemical sandalwood in the base to turn the product into a proper perfume. Projection is moderate for the first hour or so after which it drops off to a skin scent and longevity, on me, is around 4 to 5 hours. This fragrance is great to apply after a shower on days you choose to bathe before bed. The scent is unisex with perhaps the slightest tilt toward feminine-associated, pretty florals and is abundantly safe for all but preposterosly sensitive workplaces. I use this fragrance year round, principally in the aforementioned after bath manner. I like Nivea EdT because it conjures happy memories of my mother when I was a boy. If you have a fondness for the scent of blue package Nivea, and can get this fragrance at a reasonable price, I would suggest it is well worth having.

This is a no brainer! Since I'm not really into using body lotion, I often had that feeling of "oh, I wish I could just get the scent and skip the lotion part" with many creams. So just for that I already love Nivea releasing a perfume that just has this exact purpose: To smell like the cream. And it does its job perfectly. As many already mentioned in the reviews: this smells exactly like the classic darker blue nivea body lotion. Really powdery with some delicate floral and lavender. On me it lasts up to three hours at max. But for me that's okay. The sillage can get quite heavy if you overspray. For me 3 sprays in the right spots are enough - I rather reapply than overapply. I wouldn't recommend spraying more or you will easily feel like you took a deep sniff on lose powder that now won't get out of your nose. So go easy with this one. I don't wear this that often but if I wear it, I actually really enjoy it. Layering it with soft floral fragrances also works well, if you want a more powdery creamy touch. All in all: You get exactly what you paid for. And how could you wish for more?

I finally got my claws on this fragrance, which is definitely vintage, considering that the scent formula of the original spreadable Nivea cream dates back to 1911. Does it smell like the Nivea in the blue tin? Yes. But I have to say, to be identical to the cream, it’s missing one fundamental element: the cream itself. I mean, the fragrance is there, yes, but it’s drier, more glassy — because it lacks that buttery, creamy effect. Yes, it smells clean, like childhood, like grandma, like showers and aftersun — exactly, because my grandmother used to slather us in Nivea straight from the blue tin after letting us fry in the sun with some questionable 1981-style sun protection. Actually, now that I think about it, if I’m not mistaken, she’d smear that very same Nivea on us as sunscreen during the day. Well then. Anyway, yes, this eau de toilette is nice, but after a while you start asking yourself: 'Why do I smell like some broke girl living off deodorant because she can’t afford even a scrap of real perfume?'"

It’s not 100% like the cream, but I’d say it’s pretty close (let’s say about 95% the same). This is just a little bit more citrusy than creamy, but that’s okay with me because this is a spray version. I feel clean and pampered when I wear this just like I do when I put Nivea cream on my face after a nice warm shower. I wore this when we camped outside and I stood in front of a bonfire. I went home 5 hours later, and my hair and clothes still smelled of this. It smells soft, whipped yet airy. The atomizer is not the greatest; there is no gentle spritz—I am hosed down with the juice. Overall, an easy choice for when you don’t know what to wear. This is not available in my country, but through Marketplace, I met up with a kind lady from Europe who was selling this. I had one more day to meet up with her because she said she would be flying back in a few more days. I’m so glad I took the chance. I got this rare gem for a good price. It was worth every cent.

When I spray this, I wish there was more of a creamy scent to it. There is a bit of a sour aspect (probably the citrus) that lasts throughout the whole experience that I wish wasn't there, because I want the cream part to be the base of this, like their cream from the tin, but it isn't. This is a great scent to wear to the gym or in an office because it is not offensive. Having said that, I do wish that they could make it have less of the orange... for some reason, that ends up staying throughout the entire scent journey on your wrist, and it diminishes the creamy aspects of this perfume, making it a slightly different experience than I get from the Nivea cream from the tin.

It is a nice and pleasing scent for sure, almost everyone in the world will know it and most will like it a lot. But that said the price tag is ridiculous. About 25,-€ for a 30ml? That is 83,33€ per 100ml and therefore upper territory for discounted designer fragrances. Considering the mediocre longevity and subpar sillage, this calculation gets even worse and most people will think you used a Nivea deodorant or applied a fresh layer of Nivea creme and you can get a lot of Nivea creme for this amount of money. If it was more like 20-30€ per 100ml it would be a nice freshy for sure, do not get me wrong I do like this as a fragrance, but for only 30ml this is a pass.

A fabulous Sunday scent, in a calming, gentle, intimate, subtle hug of a way. If you are a real fan of the scent of the cream then you will love this.. especially if you like to layer with the cream for a bit more depth. I'm sure it will last longer with a skin cream layer, but if you really like it and want it to last then be liberal and include fabric because otherwise it is pretty fleeting.

Yup. Smells exactly like the cream. Doesn't last more than 2 hours though. Very sad about that. When I wear this people compliment me that I smell fresh. It makes me feel cozy somehow. Like I just showered and put on my lotions and creams and can go snuggle up in bed. I don't wear Nivea as an adult. Maybe that's why I feel nostalgic towards this scent. Wish it would last longer.

If you can find this for under 50 bucks buy it. My bottle just came in from over seas, it smells just like the face cream. I want to say it's a little more powdery but if you like the face cream you'll like the perfume. It says unisex but it's leaning a little more on the feminine side. 7/10 for me very nice fragrance

A great smelling and long-lasting scent. It smells identical to the original blue tin Nivea cream and leans more feminine on the skin. I prefer to wear it when I am staying at home. Truly a brand extension of the beloved and classic Nivea cream. Very nostalgic and brings me back to the time my mother would use the cream to moisturise after every shower. It's inoffensive, very clean and soapy but not that strong of a performer. Does magic when layered with the original cream.

well, no idea if you want to smell like a tin can of nivea cream every day, but this stuff is unique, light, calming, and more original than 70% of new designer fragrances/flankers you can find at retailers these days. also unique: it's availabe only in austria, germany and switzerland. 6/10

I think this is a great perfume, I won't repurchase it because sillage/longevity is mediocre at best. Smells exactly like the dark blue nivea lotions/soap, so if you live those, you can't go wrong with this. Not the easiest one to find online, I found mine on Amazon (I live in the UK).

Underrated. This parfume changes notes over time, its top quality, that is reason they sell edt 30ml to be affordable to general public. Edit: Performanse is soo poor. It last only couple of hours, with aplling Nivea gel moisturizer before spray it can prolong smell hour or two.

I don’t understand the negative reviews. This is Nivea blue cream in a bottle. What did you expect?! If you like the tin of cream, bottle of lotion or the deodorant, you can use this (or the excellent perfume parlour cheap dupe!) and smell like Nivea all day. That’s it, folks 😘

smells exactly like nivea cream, very pleasant clean smell... BUT it has very poor projection and longevity, and is also a lot more expensive than the cream, so it's not really worth it imo, for the price i'd rather buy a bunch of nivea creams 6/10

I definitely get powder and lily of the valley when I first spray. A very clean scent. It does not automatically bring to mind the blue tin cream we used to have decades ago because of other perfumy notes. I think it’s pretty.

This is so nice, even better than the cream, not really the type of perfume I'd personally wear but it smells so, so good! Wish they made one that's more of a light blue, baby version of this, would be more up my alley.

On my skin it is quite long lasting - same smell as Nivea and it makes me feel comfortable. I think if you want to feel the Nivea smell longer it might be worth buying it. It has the smell that reminds of our grannies.

veryyy powdery and the lavender note is quite strong when sprayed at first, but still very much the original nivea scent i expected. this to me is so nostalgic and calming, so i love it, despite the lack of longevity

Not much point in getting this, has pretty much the same effect as using a Nivea moisturizer, deodorant, etc. Not necessarily bad by any means, just redundant. Also, I found it doesn't last very long.

Exactly what you would expect. Handy for a freshen-up but it is sufficiently like L'Air du Temps that if you have that, you do not really need this. The bottle is cute though.

The OG blue tin Nivea cream. I LOVE this.🤍 Unfortunately the spray nozzle is a disaster and it leaks perfume after using it. Will find a way to make it work tho.

Weird nose-burning opening, but the dry down is exactly like the classic lotion. So comforting and perfect to wear at home
