Il Colore del Vento

I first tried this last summer while travelling, did not have the time to go back and purchase, recently got a couple of samples and most definitely want it now. To/on me this is a bakery smell, but a rough one, like spiced baignets or sweetbread from a small bakery with a moderate price. No porcelaine cups or cream cupcakes, more earthenware with boiling hot coffee and oil dipped greasy pastry topped with a heavy hand of dusting sugar to be enjoyed outside in the early spring sun. Very real and carefree. I'd say this sings better in spring/summer than now (where I live) in the winter - it's a bit too harsh with a lemony cough sirop/hard candy opening and fresh grinded spices that leave little space for the soft vanilla and cider (not really champagne) bubbles that stand out better when the weather is warmer. I love Lira, dislake the OG Devotion and in my opinion this does not resemble either. Lira's perfume notes are much more blended and it is a generally sweeter perfume. I am one of those who unfortunately experience the OG Devotion as a bitter scent (think Campari) and Il Colore del Vento is not bitter, although double spicy and citrusy especially in a cold climate. Altogether a rough diamond, I'd say, and for those that like a little astrology, perfect for the coming Venus in Aries season. ;-) Edit 13th of March 2026: ...and it's mine! And I couldn't be more happy! See you again Lira when it's October again, now I'm off with Colore del Vento!

For me, citrus/vanilla scents are my favourite scent profile, along with gourmands. I have tested so many! (You can see all my comparisons under my review of Unknown Pleasures) and have just purchased Dulcis in Fundo for summer (which I absolutely love!) Il Colore del Vento might just be the better option for high heat and the summer citrus vanilla I’ve been searching for! I also love the inspiration behind the scent, which made it instantly more appealing. Il Colore del Vento (the colours of the wind) is a light gourmand. It opens with an airy mix of vanilla, bright citrus, a nice balance of sweetness, and a touch of coriander which gives the scent a cool, slightly limey freshness. As it dries down I get a light, sweet, candied fruit smell with hints of zingy ginger and a little spiciness. It isn’t overpowering or heavy in any way. I get zero coffee and no cardamom (thank god!) but there is a slight effervescent quality to the scent in the mid, which I guess is due to the champagne note. This would work all year round and in high heat. Very well done, very high quality, no nasty base notes and at quite a cheap price. Beautiful 10/10 This isn’t similar to Lira, which is cakey, very sugary and a bit heavy. It also isn’t like Akro Bake which I find has a horrid ambroxan smelling dry down. This is closer to Chilli Candy Crush, but still very different and unique. The more I smell this, the more I love it.

In Italy we have a palate cleanser, served usually after a seafood dinner, which is more or less a fresh icy lemon sligthly alcoholic creamy drink that is called "Sorbetto al limone". The opening of this fragrance has its very smell, basically photorealistic, very fresh, uplifting. Then the fragrance becomes sweeter with an hint of coffee (not coffee powder, coffee drink) and stays this way for a couple of hours to then become a very warm amber-vanille skin scent for the drydown. It is the second gourmand that I try from Nobile 1942 collection and this is the best, very natural, super elegant and original (never smelled a sorbetto in a fragrance, WOW!), never heavy or too sweet. It really stands out for quality materials, blending end evolution. And I'm not even a gourmand guy, but this... this is something. I think I'll get a full bottle of it (and what a bottle, presentation is super good).

Nobile 1942 ha creato un’altra fragranza che, al pari di Perdizione, riesce a far spuntare sul mio viso un sorriso di quelli che non si riescono a trattenere! E’ una fragranza che ha un potere magico su di me 🪄, e’ paradisiaca: l’apertura è dolce, attraversata da un soffio agrumato e ravvivata da uno zenzero appena frizzante. Seppur dichiarata in piramide, non avverto la nota del caffè. Coriandolo, cardamomo e pepe, restano sullo sfondo o forse sono semplicemente ben assorbiti dalla rotondità della composizione. Con il passare del tempo, evolve, non drasticamente, assestandosi su una base di vaniglia e ambra. Il Colore del Vento, a mio avviso, è una fragranza ottimamente bilanciata: dolce e cremosa ma non stucchevole, speziata ma delicata, fresca-agrumata, luminosa e frizzante, quasi “arieggiata” e poi calda nel fondo senza mai risultare pesante. 🌬 Love the name, the color of the wind. I was not expecting to love this, but it caught me off guard in the best way. Il Colore del Vento begins with a soft breeze of lemon touched by the faintest sparkle of ginger. Almost at once, it settles into a gentle fizz—champagne bubbles meeting caramelized sugar and a hint of coffee, like the warmth of a patisserie drifting through the air. As it dries down, vanilla and white musk wrap together, creating a sweet, airy comfort without ever feeling heavy. This is my 3rd from this house. I'm so impressed. This is pretty. I don't see it being similar to Lira, yes, they are in the same family, but Lira has that liquorish note, and I believe lavender that make it more medicinal, where as this is much sweeter thanks to the sugar and Champaigne note. The butter note is not detectable which is a good thing. Nor do I get any coffee, it's mostly citrus, sugar and vanilla. This is new to my collection, not sure about silage and longevity, as these vanilla heavy scents need to sit for a bit. So far this sits close to the skin. Will update after wearing for a while.

This is such a gorgeous fragrance. It combines everything I love - the freshness of the citrus, spices and ginger, the sparkling champagne note, and the sweet and creamy butter, vanilla, caramel and amber. When I wear this, I can't stop enjoying wafts of the beautiful trail all around me. It is so unique - a spicy, sweet and fresh vanilla. Definitely worth trying. All ages can wear this. Due to the balance of citrus and spice notes, this can be worn in the warmth of summer as well as the cold of winter. Truly versatile.

I love my lemon gourmands (lira, bake, vanille and hufflepuff), and this might just beat them all. Perfectly balanced, touch of spice, lightly sweet, twinkling, and airy. Subtle and deceptively complex. Wish it projected more, but perhaps it will get stronger with time. Got a reasonably priced bottle from FRMODA.

This is SO PRETTY. Smells like fruity pebbles definitely a citrus gourmand done so right. My skin has a bad habit of pulling spices forward and that is not the case with this fragrance for me, at all. I am Obsessed I keep sniffing my wrist and need a full bottle A S A P

Very nice! Tried a sample and on me this is almost exactly Franck Boclet's Vanille. I tested them side by side to be sure. This one does seem to have better longevity though, so I'll get this when I run out of Vanille.

I think this is a one and only perfume.It's so unique.Many sweets notes of Coffee,Sugar,Caramel etc, are balanced and each of them are so strong, but not too much. You can catch extotic feeling.

I like it soo much, the ginger note is very prominent but sweetened the caramel and vanilla. Very pleasant and likeable perfume, it was love at first sniff. My Husband said its soo god on me😍.

Smelling this was life changing. Photorealistic--like I was at a tea party. On my skin, smells like the best lemon tart in the world. The aura was Absurd. NEED!!!

The dry down of this is just amazing, kind of a spicy soft amber. Very addictive. I'm getting the most wonderful wafts from the back of my hand.

The baby of Ani & Lira. More complicated and sophisticated. Very fresh and lemon cakey.

Well, I have ,,Lira" since at least 4 years and can say that this one reminds me strongly of it...in the opening.It starts with the same lemoncake-vanilla-burst (that has been copied so many times over the years..see Akro ́S Bake, Devotion etc), although here it is more buttery and bright.Then slowly other notes come through, I don`t get much coffee, more a kind of chocolate (maybe the combination of coffee and caramel).I would say over the time it turns from a very sweet lemon-vanilla cake into the same with a chocolate mousse topping.All in all it is Lira with a delicious chocolate twist, with a better performance and I got it at a much better price.It is only for sweet gourmand lovers, although here the sweetness is not too dense or cloying (like in ,,Italica" for example).It is more appropiate for fall/winter, leans more feminine and the longevity is over 10 hours with an initial strong, later moderate projection.

I love this perfume, it starts off strong with the lemon, a bit of the ginger, cardamom, & pepper thing really rounds out to a pretty sweet warm slightly buttery vanilla, almost smells like an ice cream cone towards the 5-6 hour mark. I don’t really get much of the coffee tho. It really is such a cool strange combo that really transforms as it sits on the skin

Oh man... Was this a blind by fail? Does this need to macerate? I just got it. It's been on my skin for about 15 minutes and unfortunately, I am getting the lemon pledge. I got it at a discount site. Did I get a bad batch? I might have to come back and edit this post, but at this point not my favorite.

The citrus is a bit off-putting for me. Fortunately it doesn't last and what's left is a beautiful spicy vanilla with just a dash of coffee. Unisex, but leans a bit more feminine to my nose due to the sweetness. While I don't think it's extraordinary, I am enjoying my decant.

I hate the opening as it’s so nauseating! But the dry down is pretty nice though , I’ve only just got it , will test it out more

IMO, this perfume had potential, but there were just has too many contradictory notes to work well together. It smells like a aromatic peppery ,lemony gourmand. I really could not appreciate any of the gourmand notes because on my skin the aromatic pepper took over. Lira is so much better. A definite pass!

Opening is sweeeeet. It does smell like sticking your nose in a bag of fruit loops. Kinda fun. It goes south pretty quick and turns into a savory catastrophe. It's bizarre. Like thick, raw dough. Hard pass.

Stunning. Having heard about it before, I already had a pretty good idea of what it would smell like... but I clearly was not ready. It is sparkling, happy and zesty but not pungent nor too sweet. The light bitterness of citrus, coffee and champagne is perfectly balanced by the sweet notes but I don’t get an overly sweet or pastry vibe, despite the sugar and the butter notes listed. This is gourmand but still perfumy and so airy. I see why this is compared to Xerjoff Lira but I personally find this one to be much more balanced and the dry down is different. I LOVE this stuff. Went for a « smell day in the city » to discover fragrances, I smelled about 60 perfumes and this one definitely stands out.

I was promised grown fruity pebbles but sadly that is just not what It’s giving. All the heavy spices mixed with the strong citrus are making this come off as almost savory to me. I was pretty skeptical about the fruity cereal comparison given all the spicy notes listed so I can’t be too surprised since I know I struggle with prominent spice in fragrance, but curiosity got the best of me with this one and I just had to know. Unfortunately I’m just struggling to find the sweet notes at all.

This is a fabulous and surprisingly long-lasting lemon gourmand perfume. I agree with the person below who said it's the baby of Lira and Ani, since it has a sweet, lemon cake note like Lira and the spiciness reminds me of Ani. In my opinion Il Colore del Vento is better than both of those perfumes as its missing some of the annoying, funky notes that made Ani and Lira unwearable for me, and its just smoother and better blended all around.

I got a free sample of il colore del vento and was pleasantly surprised. From what I can smell, the opening smells exactly like a limoncello, but with a sugary, kinda fizzy lemon. As time passes, it settles down to a lira-type dna, but a bit fresher and a little bit less cakey, keeping the fizzy lemon accord. Overall, if you’re looking for a summer casamorati lira alternative you will not be disappointed by il colore del vento

Fruit Loops, Champagne, and a light lemon sherbet touch. There’s a clean soft musk that balances everything out. I usually don’t care much for scents like this but I loved this. I like this perfume better than Lira because this smells like an actual beautiful perfume with lemon gourmand facets instead of just smelling like a walking piece of lemon cake. I feel like it’s more elaborate than Lira and unisex.

Nice lemon-vanilla scent. Compared to Akro Bake, the lemon here is less bright and zesty. This defenitely has a caramel butter aspect. And it might sound strange, but I smell a tini tiny bit of cannabis. Don’t know what combination of notes is causing that.

A wierd concoction of notes imo. It’s gourmand, it’s citrus, it’s spicy, it’s savory, it’s everything but the kitchen sink. Scrubber for me.

Really intense lemon that dries down to smell like Froot Loops.. wanted to like it more but the opening is just too bright for me
