Lavanda Nobile

Is part of the unisex line, which has as presentation pattern the metallized label, 100ml bottles and a box whose print refers to the geometric pattern of stone façades of historical palaces, churches and cathedrals, as a tribute to Liguria, land that adopted the company. According to the manufacturer, its output notes are Calabrian bergamot, Italian tangerine, cardamom and Dutch lavender; in the heart were added notes of provence lavender, fresh sea notes, Guaiac wood and lavender absolute. At the base, notes of amber, white musk, tonka bean, benzoin from Siam and oakmoss. Based on this, there is no doubt that the fragrance not only received the name, but was stuffed with lavender. And this lavender arrives at nostrils of herbal form. Moreover, even before having access to the official notes, I wrote 2 words in my notes: citrus and spices. And once again, my nose was not wrong: the nuances of cardamom and citrus fruits were there. With the passage of time, the projection decreases, but the lasting remains firm and strong. Massimo Nobile dedicated this fragrance to his father and I really can see it reacting much better on male skin, than on female. After hours on the skin, it is possible to perceive the oakmoss very clearly. It's a perfume of extreme elegance and calming effect, perfect for lavender lovers. Unfortunately, it is no longer manufactured by the company and is no longer available for sale (update received in July, 2017).

This beautiful scent reminds me the mountainous zones of the Mediterranean smells and get better the longer it stays on skin. At first you will smell a combination Scottish lavender and bergamott straight away, thats what I smell the two smells combine together and creats a very bitter style smell, this smell will last at least an hour on skin and eventually tone down a little before you smell a white musk, amber and Tonka mix with the top oak moss. The perfume is very good and lasting power is between 6-8 hours in my skin and it is easy to realise that top quality ingredients were used here. Lavanda Nobile is probably not breathtakingly revolutionary, however it is certainly a well put-together fragrance that smells expensive, sexy and warm, wonderful to be used during the summer.

When I was introduced to this perfume I was told it was a "grey lavender" and indeed it makes me think of the fuzzy greyness of perfumes like Grey Flannel by Geoffrey Beene. I probably prefer this one to the Grey Flannel as it is less green. I find it very uplifting and evocative, it makes me emotional rather than rational (which is usually what I like my perfumes to do). It reminds me of a leaden sky just before a storm...
