This is absolutely stunning! Difficult do describe, but this is pure class and elegance. A bit powdery, i thought it had Iris but no, i really can’t imagine somebody disliking this aroma :-)

This fragrance is eating a fresh cardamom bun while cuddling in bed with your boyfriend wearing a soft cashmere sweater and when you kiss you feel the grains of sugar on each other's lips

I love this brand for no-bullshit approach, clever molecule-references in naming and helping to stop this madness with the “Grasse roses” and precious “natural ingredients”. Nature is very clever actually and has an A in chemistry :) knows how to make coumarin (sweet, vanilla-like, often described as hay) naturally occurs in cinnamon, lavender, tonka etc. This coumarin does not smell like a haystack on a summer day, it's dark. I love the cofee here and the cardamom and palo santo.

Surprised there's no vetiver in the notes here, because for me it opens with vetiver and then comes to sit between there and palo santo. More acrid/bitter than real palo santo. I'm used to this fragrance family wearing big and bold, this one is quiet and intimate (admittedly, I dabbed, didn't spray). It's unobjectionable, and certainly smells good, but not remarkable for me.

It is the first time that I smell a Frank Voelkl fragrance. This is a creamy, clean, gentle and pleasant perfume with notes of aquatic pine, if that means something. It is definitely likeable as a discrete scent. The pine makes me tend towards a male perfume.

On my skin, this reminds me of clean linen. Woodsy and CRISP. Ultimately not super remarkable to me personally, but I would go out wearing this if I wanted to smell very clean and fresh.

Very mild-mannered and inoffensive fragrance. Amber and wood linger on the dry down, initially a lot more flowery. Nothing groundbreaking here but nothing at all to complain about.

The coumarin in this certainly leans more towards hay-like than vanilla-like. Fine by me, but I know it's not to everyone's taste. I also smell something like sandalwood in here - maybe the palo santo playing tricks on my nose. This is very lightly spicy from the cardamom, but it's overall pretty gentle and cozy. If you like Santal Kardamon from Lancome but want something toned down, try this one.

reminds me of molecule 04 but this one has a slight edge over it. will probably not purchase a full bottle it doesn’t move me

A lot of these nomenclature fragrances have been dissapointing mostly because they haven't done much to elevate the common materials they're celebrating- Hedione, Helvetolide, Iso E Super, Clearwood, etc. all end up drying down to simple, kind of boring smells that you've probably smelled elsewhere in some minimally altered form. This one is at least in a style of fresh soft woods that I find most appealing. The opening is transparent and airy, with juniper and cardamom feeling like a cold, fresh breeze against a sweet hay aroma. It's a bit dark and earthy with mild incense and bitter coffee notes. That bitter-resinous element doesn't feel heavy, and the whole thing is pleasingly aromatic in a smooth, understated fashion with a hint of gentle smoke and mild sweetness. I'm reminded of D'ORSAY's M.D. with it's fresh palo santo, or even 19-69's Higher Peace with a similar focus on hay. Still, this is just pleasent and nothing groundbreaking. It will remind you of many somewhat "molecular" soft, hazy woods, but I'm writing a review because I do find it quite natural and effortless to wear and not especially sandalwood-dominant (which can become annoying when synthetics are used). It does remind me a bit of the smell of a pack of cigarettes. There's also a saffron element that's hard to place, but it comes off as cool and ethereal and slightly mineralic. Giving myself more time to sit with it I'm actually really enjoying it. It's like a much more interesting and noticeable variant of the an escentric molecules-style of translucent, fresh woods.

I don’t know how true palo santo smells like, but here there’s smoky and creamy woods like cedar-santal-guaiac. With cardamom it reminds me Santal 33 type but warmer, sweeter and more saffron-leathery. Also, it reminds me green iodine-like bitterness of unripe walnut (saffron+cardamom). Drydown is all about sweet and nutty coumarin, so it leans on a lil bit in more masculine side (for me it’s 100% unisex btw) I really like this one, and find it slightly similar to Affinessense Cuir Curcuma but with different type of leather (saffron vs. suede) and different spices (vanilla-almondy coumarin vs gingery-sweet curcuma).

It opens with the sweet scent of palo santo woods, light incense and a subtle hint of coffee altho it's far from being a gourmand. The drydown (on a paperstrip) is very creamy, the tonka/coumarin comes into play and takes centre stage. A cosy, pleasant and sexy scent. I imagine this to work perfect for dating as it doesn't scream but it is inviting. This fragrance is done by the same perfumer of Santal 33, and Tabac 28 by Le Labo. You can recognize his signature, this falls in the same category but it's not a powerhouse like Santal 33. So if you dig those two then do check out psy-cou.

This is cozy and warm. Lots of coumarin, palo santo, and juniper- in that order. It’s an enjoyable fragrance for when you just feel like wearing a big sweater!

Love this. So smooth and comforting, dare I say almost lactonic woods. Frank Voelkl's elegant touch is apparent.
