In The Shower

I can't resist my husband when he wears this. Sexy as hell. Don't listen to the haters. Especially to the person who said it smells like beef jerky, they probably needed a shower.

It definitely smells more like "In the Campfire" or "In the Expensive Leather Jacket". Very leathery. It smells good but def more masculine, I can see a dude loving this scent- very leather forward with a hint of lemon. The initial spray is super smokey and then dries down to a very close to the skin amber and sandalwood smell. It smells very nice on my boyfriend who is a fan.

I got this in the Nonfiction Discovery EDP set that came with cute little blotter papers. I smelled this on the paper, and it did not smell the way I imagined from the description at all-- it is a peculiar scent! It smells of pungent wood vinegar, or a bonfire after it rains. I don't think this is a pleasant smell, but it is intriguing. I do smell the patchouli, bitter orange and Campari underneath. It dries down to something earthy, smoky and medicinal, but I really can't imagine a person wearing this scent. Not for me! Update: I’ve tried layering Santal Cream from the same brand over this and it helps to tone down the wood vinegar and bring out a certain sweetness which greatly improves both scents, IMO. This combination is much better than each scent on it’s own.

"In the Shower" is a misnomer! It doesn't smell like being in the shower, it's a smell that makes you WANT to get in the shower. Hmmm... maybe that's what they meant. It smells like a campfire. It's headache inducing. It's a big disappointment, because I love Campari and wanted to love this fragrance, but OMG, I don't!!

name is misleading because this smells more like a campfire while raining but the fire won’t go out. it is STRONG. i don’t think it’s a wearable scent unless you layer it with something because of how overwhelming it is but it is an interesting scent.

One of the worst scents I've ever encountered. It smells like a cheap Irish Spring knockoff or a sauna if someone peed on the hot rocks.

I felt the need to review after all the negative impressions below. For me, this scent opens up with a jolt of the citrus/Campari combo. But quickly, it becomes all about the woodiness. It’s a smoky, resinous guaiac/palo santo wood profile mixed with the earthiness of patchouli. There’s something else sweet that comes through on the dry-down as well. Amberwood adjacent. As someone who enjoys a smoky/woody/patchouli profile, this feels like a contemporary skin scent version of that. And I’m simply not getting the pissiness folks are talking about. I would recommend this to someone looking for a smoky/woody fragrance for the warmer months or someone just dipping their toe in that arena. But for me, when Abîme from Maison Violet exists, or any of the perfumes from La Curie, or Stag by the Maker... Not sure why I’d reach for this one.

It's definitely not the shower you're thinking of unless you shower in fire and smoke, maybe you shower in a sauna??? It's densely woody and smokey quite claustrophobic I feel like I'm getting cooked but if you love a heavy woody and smokey scent this is for you I imagine it would probably be wonderful for the dead of winter

Smells like a tree literally stood up, walked over to me, and piss all over. Smelly and sweaty piercing wood and patchouli with a disturbing citrus that adds to the stench resembling an old mop.
