Santal Cream

I loooooove the scent but the longevity is so weak!!! :( I bought the 30ml at ₩69,000 and thought it was a rather fine price at first, but after testing the perfume a few times I find it almost completely fades away within an hour! Seriously so disappointing :( Even if I bring my wrist directly up to my nose I have to sniff and pay close attention to pick up any notes. The initial spray and dry-down smell sooo delicious and instantly made me fall in love, but all I pick up after an hour or so is subtle sandalwood with maybe just a tinge of creaminess. I wouldn't repurchase just because the longevity is seriously not worth it !!! :((((((((((((((((

It’s not original nor surprising but it’s delightful and delicious.If you like sandalwood, or are on the hunt for a sweet creamy sandalwood, you gotta try this. It’s inoffensive. Stars with a citrus blast then the creamy sweetness kicks in, then settles to woody goodness. Development is rather fast. I love all of its stages nothing too much. Delicate and well behaved. I do love Santal 33. I find they are creatures of different species. Santal 33 is aggressive and medicinal (I love that about it too). This is delicate and rounded. Both are beautiful but in different realms.

Very beautiful and underrated imo. I get a lot of soft, spicy cardamom and a touch of sweetness. No pickle-like sandalwood at all! The sandalwood is creamy and soft. There’s a calming and tranquil quality to this fragrance, for me. A very beautiful blend of slight spice, sweetness and wood.

I love this. My friend bought it as a souvenir from Korea for me and it is absolutely stunning. A rather spicy sandalwood scent, and i didnt find much similarity with Santal 33 (that one smelt more like a plastic shop to me...)! Lasts relatively long and smells closer to tam dao :)

Korean Santal 33, more creamy and soft scent that blends nicely with the sandalwood. Personally prefer the sharper, leathery scents of Santal 33, so I might stick with that. However, if you found Santal 33 to be too masculine or overpowering, I'd recommend giving this one a try.

This doesn't resemble Santal 33 at all. The only resemblance is sandalwood note, which is interpreted very differently. This scent is unlike any other sandalwood perfumes, for example Super Cedar from byredo, or Sandalo from ADP. If I had to pick one scent that is similar, I would say this smells like Orphéon without juniper berries and powdery notes(is that even Orphéon?) but with creamy spices. It shares same structure with Orphéon, but it still smells very different. It starts as sharp, fresh aromatic scent. Combination of spice with sandalwood strangely reminds me of fig, but it doesn't feel fruity. The spices are warm spices, but it feels fresh. As it dries down, it gets creamier but never feels heavy or 'woody'. After 3 to 4 hours, it projects no more than 10cm. It is labeled as perfume, but it has EDP~EDT level longevity. I love this scent. It is a light sandalwood scent that can be worn daily. Just don't wear this during hot summer. p.s. I recommend getting handcream version of this scent. I like it much more than the perfume.

The opening is lightly spicy. I can’t detect anything citrus or fruity about this scent. A rather woody sandalwood that turns into a sweetish skin scent if you like that sort of thing.

santal 33's sister, creamier, sweeter and softer but my hands reach out for forget me not more.. i used this so often as a handcream though

In theory, it looks like I'd like it. My signature scent is Hwyl, and I have a personality that people would recommend Tam Dao to me. While Hwyl feels nose-pokingly(?) spicy when compared to Tam Dao, this Santal Cream is wayyyy worse. And I love Hwyl for its spikiness and spiciness. Santal Cream is very green and creamy at the same time like it can't pick a lane. It results in the smell of freshly cut grass and not in a good way. Santal 33 lacks creamy notes when compared to this, but at least Santal 33 has personality that way. This one just... hurts my nose and my brain. And if you wear it on a day you sweat? Be prepared to smell funky.

It’s a sandalwood fragrance so I get the Santal 33 comp, but I do find this one quite different from it. Much more subdued and understated, a soft sandalwood with the tiniest bit of spice versus Santal 33 that has a more biting herbal smell. Overall not a bad scent but nothing to write home about, could never see myself thinking I’d need a full bottle of this.

quite similar to santal33 but after awhile it smells much creamier and sweeter than santal33 would't really call it a dupe though many people say it smells spicy in the beginning but personally I can't really smell it it is alright, nothing crazy or amazing if you like sandalwood and sweet scents, you will probably enjoy it

Something I've grown to realise recently is that sandalwood is a scary shapeshifter. It can be plush, milky, glowing like candlelight against bare skin, like in my favourite Santal blanc by VCA... or it can be like this fragrance's. Cream? Instead, a dry, spiced-up sandalwood takes center stage—distinctly of the Australian variant, with that sharp, slightly tangy edge that some might call complex, and I call... pickle-y. There’s a brightness to it, but not the kind that glows; more the kind that pricks at the senses, like dry spices hitting a hot pan. I distinctly get vetiver too, smoke trailing through the composition, adding a touch of earthiness that keeps it from ever feeling plush. Together, they create something structured, deliberate, and pretty harsh. Not bad, just not what I wanted. Santal Cream—a huge misnomer—is for those who want sandalwood that refuses to be smooth, dressed in spice and shadows. Me personally, I like my sandalwood to blur at the edges, to lean in, to murmur instead of declare. This one keeps its distance for sure. Not my fave.

Sandalwood often whispers, and I think the fig helps to make a fuller statement. I can't pick out the fig on it's own, so I feel like it's there for supplementary, textural reasons—to add roundness and body. Cardamom and bergamot are also there at the opening, but I wouldn't call it spicy at all. It reminds me of those fuzzy, mohair sweaters in pale sage green or cream. You know when you try to fold those plush knit sweaters, but they don't stay folded since they're so thick? So they end up half-organized somewhere in the top of your closet. It's the warmth and familiarity of a knit sweater, but without the seasonal overtones. I don't think it's a dupe, K-version, or any sort of "take" on Santal 33. It's just a fellow sandalwood fragrance.

Santal 33’s softer, less spicy sister. Initial spray is sharp and borderline masculine but the drydown is creamy. While santal 33 feels like the perfect androgynous scent, Santal Cream leans feminine especially after 2-3 hours of wear. Longevity is surprisingly good, I get around 6 hours on my wrists before it fades away. Be careful not to overspray as the projection is rather strong. It reminds me of soft cashmere scarves in wintertime, browsing dusty books in an old library to hide away from the biting cold of winter.

Korean Santal 33. I got the hand cream and sample that my friend gave to me as a gift. But it turn me off because it reminds me of pork oil when the pork is grilled ??

As a person who loves creamy frothy sweet sandalwood, this falls flat and is rather bland :( Could pass as a dupe for Santal33 but still on the pricey side.

a pretty linear sandalwood scent, nothing exceptional in my book but if you like sandalwood fragrances you can't go wrong with this one!
