The Grey

What would happen if you took the suede accord from Ganymede, some of the florals from Tom of Finland and you removed the Lapsang Souchong from Bvlgari Black? Then you would be in the ballpark of The Grey by Nonfiction. The magnolia and osmanthus sets this fragrance in motion and also gives it a unique floral suede character, much like the tea suede accord achieved in Bvlgari Black This scent is a performer and its sensual powdery nature is done very well by Maurice Roucel. The drydown has more nuance and character than the scents I mentioned above, save maybe Ganymede. Lightly smokey with a coolness is contrasted nicely with a warm benzoin. Feels like a modern suede in the realm of Animalique from Byredo, but dial down the sugar and dial up some warm resinous sensual musks. Really digging these bottles. Quality

"The Grey" really suites this perfume. Prominent dark musk combined with subtle sweetness (Benzoin), floral (Magnolia) and coolness (Cypriol) which together give it a really elegant touch. I find for the price, this perfume goes a really long way - as only a little is required. A small detail - the glassware is well manufactured, the atomiser spray is very good. A very good and somewhat rare perfume.

I love this scent so much I wear this to go to sleep. Is so dark, dry but cozy. Definitely start with a small bottle, btw the spray is marvelous.

Ambery, woody scent without excessive sweetness. For me, this fragrance occasionally evokes the aroma of coffee (possibly due to the bitterness by cypriol and cinnamon). A simple yet contemporary fragrance suitable for autumn and winter. Appropriate for both men and women, but I would recommend it more for men.

Spicier of the two (between Grey and Beige) in both the spiciness and spice aroma sense. Very incense forward.
