Dulce de Cuerpo

A perfect everyday fragrance when you want to feel snuggled up and cozy. At first spray you're met with the soothing scent of an incense lit record store. Followed by fresh bursts of jasmine bouquets, and a sea foam covered log washed up to the beach shore. After settling, you're left with a warm, sweet, resinous quality that makes you want to wrap yourself up in a blanket and read your favorite novel. Every complex layer of this fragrance is decadent and soul soothing. Its not one that fills the air of a room, but it will linger close to you and when in more intimate areas, you will be complimented. I love wearing this perfume in the evening after I've showered & moisturized with it's matching set. I highly recommend checking out all of Nopaleras scents. I love their story and the backgrounds of each of their perfumes.

An eerie, realistic incense perfume. Something about it is giving 90s goth and Catholic Church simultaneously. They definitely captured the vibe they were going for when they made this. It’s very wearable and doesn’t project much making it appropriate for work. You will have to use more sprays than you’re used to, but I’m ok with that given the price point. I was a little hesitant to try this because I really dislike vanilla and notes that have the “baked goods” feel. This is not that kind of sweet. It leans tart like sour candy, and only slightly. Overall this perfume is lovely and a bit spooky. I’m hoping they decide to make another version of this that lasts longer. Maybe a fragrance oil. I’d purchase that immediately.

This smells like the version of me that has their life together. A clean scent. Copal notes tend to lean 'sharp' on my skin, but the other notes soften this fragrance beautifully, and this is an easy daily grab. The low sillage and clean feel make it day time scent for me. When I wear dulce de cuerpo, I get a sense of 'just showered in a luxury hotel in the desert Southwest, and now on my way to give the keynote talk a conference.' I feel sophisticated, expensive, and fresh. Unisex scent, but pulls feminine on my skin.

I really love the zesty, ambery, incensey vibe of Dulce de Cuerpo! I would say that it's the most unique scent of Nopalera's discovery set- I really love the combination of the tamarind with the soft florals and deep resins. It is fairly citrusy, but upon drydown the amber and musk really pulls through along with a slight smokiness from the incense- kind of a palo santo smudge stick feeling.

Dulce de Cuerpo is my perfect daytime Autumn scent. It's somehow both fresh and warm without any of the typical cliches of the season. Incense and copal are the strongest parts of the olfactory experience for me. I agree with others that the sillage is very low, but the incense portion lasts forever. It is faint, but it definitely lingers all day.

all notes are present and it smells so good. it is a bit lighter than i expected. initially it smells super earthy and dries down sweet and ambery. reminds me of glossier you without the pepper note. this is definitely a sweet, dry, vanilla earthy scent and i love it. stays close to the skin and makes a great every day scent. i'm in love

Gosh I wish this lasted longer. It's definitely a non-projecting skin scent but MAN does it make you smell incredible! I can barely smell the vanilla or incense, to me it's almost like a vanilla-leaning Glossier You. Not spicy or gourmand or earthy, totally unique and beautiful. Really love this one and am unexpectedly crazy about it!

Wow! This is beautiful! It's a sweet, warm, incense fragrance. So well blended. I don't smell much violet. And the copal comes through on the dry down, it's very subdued. I love how this made me feel when I first sprayed it. I think it's my new fragrance at the moment.

This fragrance is almost EXACTLY like Carolina Herrera 212 Sexy at first spray. But the dry down is much cleaner and softer. Not super strong after a few minutes but I'm going to enjoy experimenting with this as the weather continues to get cooler.

Magical, mysterious, mystical, dark, dreamy, earthy, the gloaming, the night sky. This is beautiful and I primarily get the incense, amber, and vanilla. This would be my ride or die, all day every day, if only it lasted longer. I’m sad.

Autophilia at first spray. Shame it fades as soon as you leave the house.

The opening immediately captivated me with the scent of fresh, dry, clean earth—think dry potting soil! This intriguing start leads to a warm heart of amber and incense, evoking both churchy vibes and the comforting aroma of old books and wood. The incense here is the familiar scent of burning sticks, not an abstract interpretation. As it dries down on the skin, the base reveals a prominent sandalwood with a resinous sweetness and a distinct, realistic vanilla bean note. This is a masterful and unique fragrance that either a man or a woman could confidently wear. It has an intimate projection, meaning it stays close, yet its longevity is better than the other offerings from Nopalera and for such a subtle scent, all likely thanks to the amber.

Balsamic and earthy incense, no amber and somewhat monotonous. This note wasn't listed but I get a whiff of Blackcurrant per sometimes, it might be the scent of copal. Warm, soft-spicy, liquory, slightly sweet and smooth scent. Quite intresting and unique. Somewhat good sillage and longitivity. Not bad.

Beautiful sweet and smoky woods. Reminds me of sucking on a Djarum clove cigarette with the sweet vanilla tipped filter. Absolutely love.

This smells EXACTLY like church, but not in a gothic cathedral kind of way, but more like a 7:30am mass way (source: 18 years of no sleepy sunday mornings). The violets (they’re strong) stand in for the 80-something geriatrics who have sat in the same pews for decades and give you mean looks if you take their spot (especially the one-legged vet and his scary wife, they never smiled), and the copal, sandalwood, and “sweet earth” (idk why they called it that, it’s just a musky vanilla) smell in combination exactly like the nice Mexican family who sat behind us every week and left after communion (which made my mom tsk and roll her eyes, but she was of the hardcore mexicatholic persuasion, and they were there every week regardless, and we sometimes did too, sooooo). It’s way too specific of a scent memory for me to enjoy as a perfume, but it is VERY correct, and I bet would be lovely in summertime on the right person. IDK, I'll probably return it. Violets and childhood parental resentment, meh.

Pretty, powdery amber and copal. I get the violet vanilla and copal the most. The incense isn’t giving church vibes.. it’s giving earthy incense which I prefer. This has absolutely NO longevity on skin or clothes which is a bummer. I would have liked it but for now it’s just okay. Also, I feel like there is the faintest hint of a very soft leather vibe happening on my skin before it completely disappears. Has anyone else experienced this? I love leather in fragrances and I was expecting to come here and see a leather note listed but there isn’t one. Either way it’s pretty. But I don’t get much time to appreciate it.

I really wanted to like this perfume, and I do. I just wish it projected even a little or lasted more than 5 min on skin. Very disappointing. The scent is beautiful, but I'm not purchasing a full bottle due to it's longevity.

Dulce de Cuerpo smells like the night sky over water, which sounds like nothing but is actually everything, a balmy darkness that has cooled just enough, where you find yourself tilting your head back and registering, not for the first time and not without a small interior lurch, how vast and indifferent all of it is. There's something agave-bright and boozy in here, a kind of milky agave-adjacent liqueur that has a celebrity's name attached to it, something that comes in a bottle shaped like a ruffled stiletto or a lacy skull, that you wouldn't seek out but that works perfectly in this moment because this whole moment is a little outside your life. You walked past the lurid neon dregs of a party a half mile down the beach to get here. You're wearing a sample of a fragrance you wouldn't normally reach for. The drink in your hand was whatever they were featuring at the bar. None of it is quite yours, and all of it is exactly right, somehow, for this time and space, a little bit outside time and space. Underneath, the fragrance is vanilla and resin and something softly earthy and powdery, but it's all filtered through the mist of the night tide, through salt and dark water and the musk of warm air that has been swirling over the ocean. Thoughts arrive and pass by like clouds over the moon. The sky, enormous. You, small and warm and human, all of your human grievances and desires and sadness and mania and wonder, which is fine, which is everything, which is all there is. Which is all you get.

This is a beautiful scent !!! At first spray I was a little let down . It just smelled like incense and had a resinous leather quality to it . Then the dry down happened and it developed into something different. The dry down is everything!!! It reminds me heavily of kayali wedding velvet and a little tiny bit like amber invite only but mostly the wedding velvet . It’s much cleaner and more well blended without that strange savory/cheerio note I get from the wv. This has a smooth , soapy amber incense that is absolutely addictive. .

This fragrance is amazing. It reminds me of my Summer’s in Texas. San Antonio to be exact at my grandparents house. The smell of sap on the trees, the hot sun and the Saltillo tiles in their house. Even reminds me of staying at my Mexican grandmother’s house in the summer in Kansas. It is such a beautiful fragrance. The only thing is it does not last at all. Not even an hour, which is so sad. One of my favorite fragrances of all time I just wish it lasted and performed better

Rather loved this one, but a bugspray edge was present. Didn’t ever quite become bugspray but the threat was there. A bit like Ambre Narguile or Ambre Russe or Secret of Success in a fruited golden amber, but not as sweet as SoS or as boozy as AR or woody as AN. I really liked it on the first sampling, but tried it again and yeah, the bugspray is much too strong and there’s a leathery element that I really didn’t love. Not enough like my AN or AR loves to be my thing.

This may be a controversial addition but, to my nose, this smells so much like the opening of Goldfield and Banks's Ingenious Ginger. I assume its the mix of the copal and vanilla that mimics that shimmering, translucent ginger flower and warm vanilla in IG. I'm not getting much incense, but I'll have to try it in the warm weather to see how it develops and changes on my skin. So far, I really like it and will continue playing with the travel size.

This reminds me of a mom who keeps mumus in a vintage wooden cabinet. She has a lot of good quality furniture and likes to burn incense every so often. The heavy amber with resinous touches ages this a bit too much for me. I also feel like the incense mixes with the sandalwood which makes the overall scent creamy, but dusty. It’s a no for me.

It's yummy, sexy. Definitely get the incense and sweetness. Has the most depth of the three perfumes Nopalera offers. Unfortunately, like the other perfumes, the longevity is horrible. It lasts less than an hour for me.
