this fragrance is doing exactly what it’s trying to do. i love wearing this on winter/spring days to feel like the city slicker i am not. it goes on more metallic, then dries down much woodier. my natural scent brings out the pepper notes, which i found complemented it so well. even the fragrances in the discovery set that weren’t my taste were complex, interesting, and layered; shoutout nostos! i want a full bottle NOW!!!

I absolutely love it. It’s very nostalgic for me. As a kid, one day I walked outside on a cold day in the winter and asked my parents; “what’s that smell?” and this comes SUPER close to it. Very fresh, it literally smells like the outside air on a cold day, but in a good way. I bought the full bottle after I tried a sample and I’m so happy with it.

It's a snow day and there's ice on the pine trees. You're wearing your signature pear glace body spray. Your friends dare you to run outside and stick your tongue to the frozen metal flagpole. You're stuck. But everything smells so lovely.

if you enjoy a metal note, you will love this !!!! metal is one of my favorite notes and it’s quite prominent in this fragrance. super green, minty, and silver. i might have to get a full bottle this is truly so good

A Twilight-filtered liminal space fragrance. Hard to describe – after a bedtime Benadryl my notes app includes phrases like “spaceship lobby,” “android masseuse,” and "wet computer." It’s an inorganic scent, despite the green/earthen notes. Opening plays almost like pine before morphing into cool, clean ivy. Sterile metal and petrichor emerge into the thick of its lifespan and linger for over a day on fabric. Was super curious to see Marissa Zappas’s spin on an industrial green, but was the least impressionable of the Nostos trio on my first waft. However, one month later, it’s been my most worn of the bunch. Sometimes you crave that mineral. Closest scent sibling I can imagine is Binaurale’s Incident Light, which is brighter and more citric. Mental Snapshot: An offworld wellness compound, somewhere like Titan or Europa. After sterilising yourself in a stainless steel cold plunge, you venture into the TerraSim Pod. Recycled coolant rains upon you and synthetic sediment crackles beneath your feet. They claim it smells like home. Not like you’ve been any closer than Phobos. tl;dr: ice planet onsen 🧊🪐

Very metallic and mineral-y in a beautiful artistic way! Smells like a cold cave mixed with a dusty attic but not claustrophobic, like you have breathing room and your not suffocated my metals and minerals and dust. It's surprisingly beautiful for the main scent notes being seen as unwearable by the general population. Not a scent I'd wear personally, but it's definitely a work of art!

At first it’s freezing cold machine of metal in a wet, chilly forest. Then the greenery warms up as it gets closer to noon and the sun comes out more.

Omg this immediately smells like walking around San Francisco. Concrete & eucalyptus trees. Very nostalgic smelling.

Deeply green, with something slick and city like about it. Snowfall while the city’s industrial machines are on the road. Man vs. nature comes to mind. Great if you’re looking for an ivy fragrance with a cool twist.

This is a photorealistic airport lounge scent. Like someone came over and wiped the faux leather terminal seats down with industrial cleaner five minutes ago, and now the stale regurgitated air has dried it into a film. I was really excited for this brand's discovery set but all three are reminiscent of public spaces. Teen smells like the A+F corner of the mall, Calico smells like a Friday night on public transit. Pretty cool to be able to bottle them up into perfumes, but I don't want to smell like any of these experiences

hey, you can't win all the time. this fragrance made a lot of promises, the vision of snow on concrete, ivy, pear, pepper, orris, but at the end of the day, it's kind of nothing. dark green, vaguely smoky and it tickles the back of your sinuses when you smell it, before it vanishes as quickly as it appeared.

Just super cool. Matte shades of grey concrete, dried, cool-toned woods, a hollowness that isn't glowing with warmth like so many woody cedar perfumes. I get a mild sweetness actually, arising off the testing strip like a soft wind through a grove of snowy trees. Something about it does feel chilly, yet not completely sinister or alien. Instead it's a little nostalgic, calm even. I want to say there's some very mild creaminess I pick up, that makes me think of milk in a freshly brewed cup of tea- diffused and earthy. The effect is almost like nutmeg or something, but the notes list pepper and pear. Hours later there is this fuzzy static electricity aroma with a little bit of bright amber. Very nice. It has a translucent quality that's quite easy to wear once the woodiness and spice comes through, and sits on the right side of abstract. One of my top two perfumes from day 1 of Fumed in Chicago.

the bergamot and pear notes came through nicely on this but there was an odd skin smell mixed in as well, not like a "your skin but better smell", but a faint fleshly, sweaty smell. I played tennis in it and it smelled kind of like meat when mixed with my sweat. Not something I would purchase because I don't think it's pleasant enough but definitely unique and I could see it being phermonal for some.

warmer than i thought it would be due to the base notes. the metal comes through very well, as does the concrete. smells a bit industrial in that sense, like concrete dust or metal shavings. not offensively, it’s balanced by the natural elements. i like the pepper top note a lot. this is a very crunchy scent. sharp despite the base. will probably buy a full bottle.

Clean, cold, metallic. Smells like I’ve been shrunken down beneath a snowdrop lightly dusted with fresh snow to eat slices of pear. It’s soft on the skin, just like snowflakes falling onto flushed cheeks. Ever so slightly green and woody with the barest hint of zing.

Just bought this for my boyfriend after we smelled it in the discovery set. To me it heavily smells like wet concrete, snow, metal and grass. Someone else has said this before, but it really does remind me of a swing set in the park on a snowy late winter day.

A skittish Sodastream hiss and fizz, infused with dewy early-March grass clippings, shoreline salt air filtered through the fog of memory, and a cool, soapy, low-grade angst that can only be quelled by compulsive steel-wool scrubbing.

Per @stardrop, I really do get that meaty note. If I focus really hard on the image of wet concrete I can vaguely transform it into that, but that takes some work.
