Orm

Very nice indeed! Mint and pine needles on a dark amber base with patchouli, leather and a whiff of smoke (birch tar). It is a calm scent, with a true artisanal feel to it. Expect no aldehydes, no sparkling citrus or any superfluous froth in the opening. This fragrance goes straight to the heart of the matter and quietly takes its time to fully develop on skin. It is both luxuriously oriental, a touch animalic even, but at the same time evocative of a cool, coniferous forest. A perfume of rate beauty and utterly enjoyable!

Really easy to like; strong conifers, heavy wood and pepper; hay and yarrow appear a bit later, dipped in honey, like emerging to a warm sunlit meadow from dark woods. A very calming, comfortable scent. I was expecting more marine notes, but they don't seem to be there for me. Also i have to add i've tried it several times, and every time it did not last on skin for longer than 2 hours. I'd recommend some other way to wear it. Upd, must add that in a pendant it performs differently. Solid 12 hours of Very dominating birch tar & patchouli so far, the honey yarrow decided not to emerge. Maybe it requires more body heat, idk.

Fertile strong green buds.Pine. Smoky Woods. In the far distant... Spicies! Orm makes me think about Saturdays. Why? Saturday was the traditional day for purification,baths and saunas. Contrary to popular belief the vikings were not a dirty bunch of hoodlums. They were actually pretty keen on presenting themselves in an very attractive manner to women folk. Lördag/ Lögardagen Saturday was all about getting that soap lathering, scrub the body, comb the long hair and pick away the dirt from under the nails. These guys sure know how to look and smell becomming for the ladies. They were actually not a little vain. The furs with silk trims from as far as China..oh my.. the heavy jewellry and small leather pouches with heavenly scented cinnamon cardamum. Who in their right mind could say no to that? I can only imagine the trail of broken hearts and blue eyed babies they left behind trading with people that had moved on to agriculture and building more sophisticated sociaties. Whereas the nordic people still lived off a high protein hunter collector diet. I'm sure the long blond hair, height and big built was both frightening, exotic and therefor alluring. Come on we all had our bad boy years. Just admit it! My thoughts also go to the ones that were left longing for their safe return. The perfume is very very joyus, happy and youthful but still... there is something that is longing. Longing to discover.See and feel something else. Breakaway...a n d to miss home. A mothers longing after her unruly wild son that she swoar to beat to death if he did not come back in one piece...the yearning heart of ones true love left weeping at the shore. I know if I ever find the true love of my life. He and Orm are gonna be the perfect fit. Brave. Pure. strong and uncoplicated, loving, caring comforting and with the gift off the gab to tell me the stories of his life while I rest My head at his chest and inhale waffs of Orm.

I love the colour of the juice. It sounds like an aquatic/forest smell judging by the scent discription and scent notes. I gotta try this.
