Lvce Dell'est

8:45 - Cardamon and soapy, powdery violets. Much more lovely, light, and femme than I was expecting. 9:45 - Sandalwood sneaking in. 3 - Longevity is surprisingly good considered how light and not-headache inducing this is. I've been catching wafts all day. I'm going to rate this like I love it, but I don't. I think it's a five-star perfume for someone, just not me. Still a solid four-star if the perfume was all I was counting, but the cost knocks it down. This was my last sample for Note di Profumum. Some mixed feelings because the quality was consistently very, very good, and there are two that I LOVED, and there were also two that I liked a lot, but the price point means I get one bottle and only one. I'm going to feel a bit shoddy about spending that much, too. Normally I scoff when people moan about prices. Not that I can afford a lot of niche brands, but I don't usually feel like the perfumers should care about that. Artists, in general, should price according to what they feel their work is worth. This is my exception to the rule. If there was either a 50ml option for half the price or the 100ml was about $50 less, I would be all over this brand. Maybe if the bottle was more attractive? Another day - the more I wear this, the more I'm into it.

This is very tart and powdery. Imagine sweet tarts or smarties without any sugar. I bought a full bottle when I was in Rome it was difficult to decide smelling all the stuff they had. I liked it on paper and I ordered a tester and I liked it it's really unique and it's not bad at all. It's a very different kind of floral woody scent more masculine type of floral with cedar. I love cardamom and sandalwood but this is not cardamom heavy and it's a linear fragrance. Lasts forever and I get wafts of it. It's very different than anything else I have. Not getting any patchouli. Try before you buy. Fall Update. I got this in Rome in May and this is so unique I don't have anything else that smells like this. It is bringing back so many good memories of going to Rome for a third time. I love it. Don't regret getting the big bottle at all. I will keep this one in the wine fridge forever. I hope in 20 years I can look back and remember when I was in my mid 30s and was very successful after working so hard for 18 years to build up my life and I finally got a chance to travel and do all the things I always wanted to do. That's what this means to me.

Luce Dell'est is my fourth try from the Note di Profumum line, and it's quite agreeable, a mix of cardamom, sandalwood, violet, and cedar. The mix of violet and woods fosters a vetiver-like experience, and the blend strangely reminds me of Roja Vetiver Extrait even though vetiver is not a listed note. For me, this is an indication that the violet is used in appropriate proportion to other notes, as it's not too faint to contribute but not too significant to be an overtly piercing violet that I often find off-putting. On the whole, it's a woody, slightly earthy, slightly green blend that's unisex and never really that sharp or bassy to push one away from it. Is very agreeable, so an easy one for me to like but admittedly not one I love. Performance is very good as far as longevity, seemingly the case with all Profumum fragrances, but is not particularly loud after the first half hour or so. Very nice for year-round wearing though I'd probably use it more in the spring and summer if I owned a bottle. 7 out of 10

On My skin, I basically get a sweet + sour Violet candy. Very strong the first 30 minutes, then slowly dies down over the next 3 hours. Still detectable after 5-6 hours with 1-2 inches of projection. Very dense though, so movement will deposit a notable trail up to the 6 hour mark. Personal score: 7/10. Pretty nice, but to much like candy for me. The fragrance doesn't remind me of anything natural.

Again, another redundant release. It's the same fragrance as Luce from the same house, and I don't see a point of this fragrance. Even the names are similar (Lvce - Lvce dell'Est). This entire line is confusing to me, and the worst part is, the juices are just too weak and "meh" compared to the main Profumum Roma line.
