Meraviglia-re

I got a big 15ml decant of this one as a free gift with purchase. I didn’t realize what I had . It’s beautiful, if you’re a rose patchouli lover like I am. You will love this one. I love this perfume. But I have many just like it. Atomic Rose smells very similar and so does Rose de T’aif by Perris Monte Carlo and so does Portrait Of A Lady, although POAL is much nicer and lasts longer, hence the price. So I will enjoy my 15ml and thats that . But it is very nice. Spicy rose. Doesn’t last long on me. But to be fair, nothing does. The ONLY perfumes that last all day on my skin are perfumes by Areej Le Dore. Nasomatto too and all perfumes by Kerosene. If I absolutely had to choose only one perfume house for life, it would have to be Kerosene, they have everything you could want and the prices are great. It’s a toss up between TF and Kerosene but since Tom Ford has sold out and all the perfumes have been weakened and reformulated, and Kerosene would never do that. They’re a small Indie house with amazing perfumes. I choose Kerosene every time.

Meraviglia is my fifth try from Note di Profumum, and as with the rest of the line, the notes listed have produced a reasonably fresh and bright result, and the note breakdown has been limited, as with other Profumum offerings in their main line. In Meraviglia, the mix is rose, coriander, incense, and patchouli, another fairly simple note breakdown, as is characteristic of Profumum Roma in general and of the Note collection in particular. The rose is most prominent, with the coriander perhaps being the second most noticeable note, with the incense and patchouli being somewhere in the background. It feels like 50% rose to me, though I realize I just have a nose for rose. It's quite agreeable, a phrase I've been using to describe most of the Note di Profumum line. It has bold elements at times but for the most part, it explores features of the rose (its brightness, its tartness, its greenness) in homeostasis. I liken it to a fresher take on Calligraphy Rose by Aramis, at least in terms of general genre of rose and scent. It's a good performer, not among Profumum's best, but very long lasting with moderate projection. Like most of the other Note, it's so easy to like but difficult for me to fall head-over-heels in love with. 7 out of 10

This was my favorite along with Osa and Lvce. I didn't immediately think of rose when I smelled it because it has sparkling & spicy facets; I think that made it stood out the most for me, whereas Osa is straight-out heady floral and Luce is a bit too light & fresh. I like the crystalline & incensy beginning more than the coriander driven middle, although it reminds me of Le Cri de la Lumière a little.

Nice but redundant if the house already has two great rose fragrances, one sweet-jammy (Dolci Pensieri) and another fresh-woody (Rosae Mundi), this third option going in the dusty-green direction is kinda boring and doesn't stand out enough to be relevant with the competition

Rose and coriander. How strange. Interesting if you want a dry, spicy rose.

It hits you with a jammy rose that’s almost sour. Later, a dry incense appears, and the rose takes on a more 'green' character, almost fern-like, accompanied by nuances of black pepper. I took a peek at the notes, and the fern-like aspect must have been from the coriander seeds.

9 - Rose scented soap. Robust smell. The patchouli is def. there. 10 - Still a prominent soapy rose. Not bad but mostly meh. I think this may smell differently in warmer or less humid weather so I'm not going to actually rate it.

Longevity is insane on this beauty. It smells very similar to portrait of a lady (and TT porpora also) but i am still happy to have both. Wonderful projection as Portrait if a lady before reformulation. Unisex. Use sparingly.

Slightly peppery, patchouli, geranium, orange blossom and jammy rose. Beautiful scent, a must try for lovers of rose.
