Vet-G16

I don't know what it is or why it happens to me, but I am in love with almost everything PROFUMUM creates. I didn't even know the specific sub genre of fragrances existed until recently. I suppose it's because they only sell it in Rome Italy? I'm not sure if that is true, but that is something I read. I'm sure there is a reason why, but this fragrance specifically is so beautiful that is unfortunate only a few people are able to wear it. There is such beauty in simplicity when it comes to the brand. I mentioned this before that it is similar to Italian cuisine. Excellent ingredients created in a beautiful manner with elegance and simplicity. That encompasses the entire brand, but specifically this Fragrance. Vet G-16 my God it is stunning. I love Cypress and I absolutely love Vetiver and they are both front and center here. Pristine clean true Green earth. Nothing interfering. A little bit of nutmeg and sandalwood to soften but not enough to notice. Let me explain my perspective a little bit more. I am a quadriplegic. I use my voice to type these fragrance reviews. My life is very different than I'm sure most of you. Fragrance is my passion because it allows me a glimpse into the world I never really had or I am never able to truly grasp. This Fragrance is a hand that grabbed a cypress tree and held it in front of my nose.

Yes, It reminds of cola nuts and even anise like candy in the first few minutes after application. From the beginning I thought this perfume was very weak, because I couldn't smell it after 2 hours, but today after 8 hours from application (i used 3xspritz from 2 ml tester) i smelled a wonderful woody scent in the office in the place where I was sitting 5 minutes ago. It does not have a very strong projection like other profumums perfumes, but it definitely leaves a mark behind you. Its like “sauna style” of vetiver. This is ideal for summer, it have fizzy and cool vibe, its airy with soft mineral quality. I will put this and Muskara Vetiveria from Fueguia in the same shelf, better vetiver than this is only VAR from Mallo.

Like Victrix, not for boys but well dressed men. I agree much better than Guerlain’s vetiver-centric fragrance.

Vet G16 is third of my three samples to try of the new, not-widely-distributed Profumum Roma collection of six fragrances, Note di Profumum. Also for sale, like the rest of the collection, at Parfumeria Benegas, which corroborates the Profumum website's note list of nutmeg, cypress, vetiver, sandalwood. Certainly the name suggests that the blend will be vetiver-hearvy, and I can generally corroborate its accuracy from the opening into hours of dry down. It's woody, sure, but also green, with a hint of the spices and sweets that come with the nutmeg. Cypress lends its green/woody hand, and the vetiver itself isn't ashy or earthy but rather fresh, as in Roja Vetiver Extrait, so the whole blend is pleasant and year-round friendly but not without some bass in the form of the sandalwood, which gives Vet G16 some roots, in my estimation. Vet G16, like Amante, has the benefit of being fresh without a citrus-heavy note breakdown that might otherwise be relatively fleeting (Acqua Viva, though, defies this, and all logic). At $294 for 100ml plus taxes/shipping, this is not unreasonably priced for what it is: a good performer like Luce (albeit not quite as good as Amante) but a robust versatile scent that is four-season-friendly. 7 out of 10

Gorgeous natural masculine summery vetiver dominated scent from Profumum. The central rooty vetiver note is surrounded by hints of nutmeg, sandalwood and cypress. The overall feeling is that of a freshly showered and groomed aristocrat taking a stroll in his gardens. Beautifully and simply blended with moderate sillage and excellent longevity. This could easily become a daily wear easy to reach scent for a confident man. Enjoy!

It starts as a fruity limoncello breeze with an earthy body, featuring earthy vetiver and subtle spices. It’s 'simple' yet still a complex scent. I feel like this would complete a dressed-up look. This aromatic vetiver fragrance puts Guerlain's Vetiver to shame.

What an awesome vetiver! Probably the best I've had. Lasted 24h + a shower. Quite smoky/earthy vetiver initially or First hours + hints of licorice. Then settles into a linear fresh Vetiver! Love it! Will get a bottle.

Very green and I also get Vetiver with nutmeg. I like it but am used to their other line which has much better projection and longevity. Not bottle worthy for the price in my opinion.

2 - Super fresh vetiver, almost citrusy in and of itself. Nutmeg is powdery and works to keep the cypress from coming across as too astringent. Not my favorite sandalwood that I've come across but works to ground the scent. This, as pretty much all of this brand I've tried, is excellent. Much too masculine for me, which I knew it would be, but if you're a femme-identified person who can do vetiver, I think it would be worth sampling. There is something very comforting about this. It smells almost dense up close, but then is a light airy smell from a foot away.

Reminds me of Encre Noir. It's often said Encre Noir is a niche perfume in a designer bottle for cheap. Well, this is a niche perfume in a niche bottle that will cost several hundred for a 100 ml. I bought the 18 ml version which is quite handy for travel but also left me some money to eat for the rest of the month. It's a very workplace appropriate scent. More likely to pair well with smarter dress. If it wasn't so pricy I'd get a 100 mil bottle of it

Almost gives off an aromatic, citrus loaded cola accord at first. Lemon drops, cold jasmine, oregano, basil, minty vetiver, nutmeg, olibanum, cedarwood, balsamic notes and lime. Fantastic freshie that I've never considered is one when tested on paper. Just a pure joy to wear, instantly transports you to sunshine
