Rose Musk & Vanilla

So, I purchased this fragrance (despite not so positive comments on it) just because the reviewers below implied it is very talcum, baby powder like... and, it really is! I got this today in the mail and I am astonished how much this reminds me of baby powder. I even had to add some perfumes like Iris by L'Erbolario, Junoon by Al Haramain, Teint de Neige by Villoresi or Baby Powder by Demeter to the similar scents above, because all of them have that familiar baby powder note in common (also, I own them all. :P). Anyway, my first impression is that I really, really like it. :) I collect this type of powdery perfumes as they are very comforting to me. :) This particular one starts with some citrus notes but then proceeds to this beautiful, warm powdery, almost milky note. I'm thankful that those not so raving comments below helped me to find this hidden, truly powdery gem. Moreover, it was quite affordable, so this is, I believe, a valuable addition to my talcum powder based perfumes. It's a great blind buy if you love scent like that and if you love the scent of baby powder in general. :) I don't care it's not about the rose in the first place, as I can't really stand perfumes with a prominent rose note anyway. After some time of wearing this, I would like to add that this got "promoted" straight into my favorite perfumes, that's how much I like it. :) Also, for an EdT, the longevity and sillage are quite good, I'm really satisfied with that. :) I was wearing this while running my errands and I was constantly getting little whiffs of the scent. This simple perfume is really underrated. I just hope more people would read this review first before purchasing this, expecting it to have a prominent rose note, like Rose Vanille by Mancera or something similar to that, and then ending up being disappointed. This is not what you are looking for if you want "the rose". This is really pure, sweet powder. Not a jammy rose, not a sweet rose, not a "Delina" rose, nothing like that. :)

For hardcore powdery lovers, you have to love powdery perfumes to love this! This perfume is 🔥🔥🔥 So powdery yet it has a certain dense, hard texture, like compressed powder. And it is a cold fragrance, almost has the texture of a freshly out of freezer ice-cream, when the ice-cream is still dense and dry, before it reaches the temperature to be soft and creamy. Incredibly strong and long-lasting, and so affordable. Rose is not detectable to my nose, only white floral, and the vanilla is not prominent. So maybe don't expect those.

This scent plays so well with others. Used with essential oils or rose scents with poor longevity, it knocks the sillage and longevity out of the park.

Speechless! I don't know what to say, lol. I purchased Rose Musk and Vanilla EDT shortly after its release, and have worn it a few times. For me, it is one of those fragrances that is very difficult to review. I do like it--I think, lol. My nose picks up lots of big roses, subtle vanilla, and powder--lots and lots of powder. The dry down is nice, if you are into roses and powder. If not, this is a super hard pass. As time progresses, on my skin and clothing--the scent bubble, waft, and longevity grows larger and larger! Make no mistake about it--people will smell you! If you like being smelled--Rose Musk and Vanilla is a great choice. Outside of a subtle amber and musk, big rose, slight vanilla, and powder--my nose doesn't pick up any of the other notes listed above. I do consider this fragrance mature, not old, and very well-blended. I wore it to work today, and I will be wearing it to run a few errands later. With this fragrance, I'd be very selective as to what day time activities that I would wear this to because I can see it being offensive to others--in a Tea Rose type of way. This is appropriate for some nighttime activities, also, in my opinion. Overall, Rose Musk and Vanilla has excellent longevity and wonderful sillage. It is most appropriate for the mature woman--who is serious about life. Not a safe blind buy!

I like this. And on my skin this smells just like Kenzo Flower but stronger.

Way too much musk. I bought it because the rose and vanilla accord appeals to me but mostly you get musk and powder. It gives it an old, dusty smell. It's a grandmotherly scent. And then the next issue is the sillage is very strong. I couldn't recommend wearing this to work or anywhere people may be sensitive to perfumes. It's very noticeable, very strong. This one had a lot of promise in it's notes, but it fails at balancing them to make it the lovely scent it could have been.

Baby powder smell! I may use this for daughter who likes to try mommy's perfumes sometimes. Disappointed cause the notes sounded so good and I really liked the packaging too.

Pure talcum powder scent.. If you crave a scent like that its great.

I recently purchased this one since I was into rose jam scents. This one, however, has a prominent white-musky scent which covers up other ingredients. While I adore white musk and the “baby power” scent, that’s not what I want to try out at this point. Rose and vanilla are definitely there, but I have to wait to detect these until the scent is almost gone. Longevity is not great on me. Fades away after two hours, and the sillage is not good either. I have low body temperature and dry skin so probably that’s why. Might have to try it again in winter. I got this fragrance for only $20 so I don’t want to complain about it, but just for your information, this fragrance is neither the most luxurious one nor the best deal ever. Overall, this one is for white musk lovers and has rose-vanilla twists at the end. I like this fragrance, just not the way I wanted to. I’m bummed out, but it doesn’t mean this fragrance is badly done. That’s simply not true if anything. Relatively safe for any occasion and inoffensive. Still lovely.

I purchased this fragrance at SDM for 19.99 and sadly it is a waste of every single cent. I am very open minded about scents and I usually can find something to like in a fragrance, not this time. I find this to be so harsh and shrill, the musk seems to scream above all the other notes. I actually love musk based scents but this is just tooooooo much, it truly drowns out the rose and vanilla. Such a shame since reading the notes I thought this would be a winner but I was so very wrong. I might try spraying my curtains with it to use it as a room fragrance but honestly it might just be the very first time I throw a perfume in the garbage, something I’ve never even considered doing before.

I WISH I would have purchased this when I had the chance. I WANTED to, but talked myself out of it thinking it was probably some watered-down sweet concoction of a typical 'modern rose' sent = weak sauce. Now after reading some more reviews, I think it would have been right up my alley. Now its hard to find. Shame, should have followed my instincts on this one

To my nose it’s fresh and cold like Coton from Solinote. Dry rosy musk, very pure, becoming slowly a little bit sweeter. I get compliments. BTW l’Erbolario Iris and Mauboussin are sweeter, like icing powder rather than this one’s talcum.

the way the scent profile is layered makes it perfect to use for hiding the smell of MJ - do with that what you will. i’m a sucker for musk!
