n,551

Probably one of my favorites from Noteworthy. I ordered my own customized sample box after the quiz was a little finicky, but this was one of the scents recommended. It’s beautiful, light, and warm. Feels like a gentle and addictive hug. To me, it reminds me of Not a Perfume by JHAG (which I love), but n,551 is more feminine-leaning and slightly more delicate. I love the way this smells so much (although I do wish the lily-of-the-valley was a bit stronger), but performance is a bit underwhelming. I don’t mind an intimate sillage (I don’t want people having headaches around me, anyways, and prefer my scents to be intimate or moderate in strength), but I feel like this completely disappeared off my skin within a couple hours of wear. I’ve only worn one other scent in my sample box from Noteworthy for a whole day, and while I did NOT like the way that one smelled at the beginning, it definitely beats n,551 in terms of longevity, which is a pity. If this scent actually lasted me all day, I would’ve immediately purchased a full bottle 💔 I’ll be really sad once the sample runs out since I love the way this smells so much.

I love this perfume! Granted when I first tried it, I didn't really like it. It was very sandalwood-y to me and I wasn't used to that smell. Curiosity got the best of me and I just love smelling like something so I would spray it every once and a while so it lasted me a long time. One spray would linger for hours on my clothing and I would smell it walking around. I can't describe the smell. I became very addicted. It is this warm, bougie, sandalwood-ambery smell that just is not like any other. It is unique and many people may not like it since it isn't sweet or spicy. It is just woodsy and warm. I think if there is any sweetness, it comes from the lily of the valley notes. TRY IT OUT. If you don't like it, send it my way haha. It is beautiful and very unisex :D I also love sweet smells and sophisticated smells, like (Chloe Nomade, Baccarat Rouge 540, and Mimosa and Cardamon by Jo Malone)...so if you like those, give this a try

This is my favorite of the four Noteworthy scents I received in the personalized sample pack. I love it. My only complaint is that it fades QUICKLY. And there's very little projection. But it smells so good I wear it anyway. I've started layering it over Riddle Original perfume oil which seems to extend a bit. Plus, my boyfriend says he prefers the "oh, you smell nice" quality as opposed to "oh, you're wearing perfume". There's sandalwood and amber and musk, for sure, with a bit of vetiver and lily of the valley. I'm not a fan of floral perfumes, but this one smells incredible, so I guess the floral notes just blend in beautifully instead of being cloying at all. 551 is more of a Fall/evening scent, I suppose, but it's not aggressive enough that I'd be afraid to wear it during the day in Spring or Summer.

Noteworthy is an interesting perfumery. I have heard mixed reviews and I received a free travel spray along with another purchase. The N,551 is a unique, solid, and beautiful scent that deserves a lot of respect. I don't know much about the other scents. I sampled n,232 and n,818 and n,866. They weren't amazing. Start with N,551. The only other positive review I have read was about their new lemon scent. The N,551 is just so good. I've never smelled anything like it before. It is warm, honey-colored sandalwoody smell. The Lily of the Valley probably plays a big role too in maturing the smell. I can't describe it other than that. The smell probably lasts 7/10. The strength is around 6/10 to 8/10 depending on how your body holds perfume.

I also received n,551 with three other samples from Discover Noteworthy. I actually love this fragrance. At first spray it was almost non-existent. But a few minutes passed and the sandalwood became present, then Lilly of the Valley. It is a cozy, smooth fragrance. A long time ago, someone described a certain fragrance like wearing a cashmere sweater as the cooler days of fall set in. 551 fits this description too. Update: The down time of about 5 hours and 551 begins to resemble Kilian Cruel Intentions. I’ve been a collector of perfumes since the 1980’s and my favorite is always Narciso Rodriguez For Her Eau de Parfum in the pink bottle. I will add 551 to my collection. It’s lovely.

I love 551! This is one of my top 5 favorites. It is such a harmonious and pleasant scent. It isn’t too complex of a perfume and doesn’t seem to change much. To me, it is a soft, smooth, sandalwood and amber. Not really sweet, not spicy, not vanilla, but for some reason, I get the feel of those notes. I don’t pick up floral notes but it is more than just woody. It can be an everyday scent. After my nighttime shower, I spray I once and it is the nicest scent the still lingers when I wake up in the morning.

I got this perfume in the sample kit of 4 perfumes. I didn't love it at first, but after spraying it and wearing it for a few days, I need to get the 3.3oz bottle! Very warm woody scent that smells like chilly fall evenings spent snuggled up in a warm blanket. Love it!

I took the noteworthy discovery scent quiz and this was one of my top favorite scents sent to me! It’s a soft powdery woodsy sweet scent. The note that are listed blend very well into each other. It is sophisticated smelling without seeming stuffy. It gives me the vibe of being at a jazz club having a cocktail. As it dries down the amber really takes center stage and smells creamy. It is honestly such a crowd pleaser and I see why so many rave about this one! I love how it’s not very strong but one that others can still smell, good for the introverts that still want others to notice their scent. I’m sure that’s why it was sent to me haha! I only wish the longevity could be longer because it barely made it to 5 hours or so on me after a work day.

Nearly used half the sample spray I have trying to get a strong enough read on this one. Such a shame too because the reviews are great and the notes are right up my alley I just don't smell much of anything. It's so weak on me I hesitate to write this review. I definitely detect some amber musks and soft drier woody notes but beyond that nothing. The patchouli and lily of the valley are totally lost on me. What I can make out is lovely and cozy and sits very intimately on my skin. Theres something vintage feeling about it that might be an ashy sandalwood or vetiver though I have no confidence in what exactly. Again, the price just doesn't feel justified here. I'll be giving it another shot soon though.

I bought one of their personalized sampler packs. I haven't tried all four, but of the ones i tried i like this the best. It's a nice combination of woods and florals. I love classic base notes, sandalwood, vetiver, cedar, patchouli, so this is good for me. I dislike most musks, but they are hard to avoid, and fortunately the one in 551 is not overpowering. I think 551 is a good daytime scent.

I absolutely love how it smells but it's soo light, I'll spray 5 sprays and can barely smell it. It lasts on my skin but I can only smell it when I literally put my nose on my skin. LOL. So, my goal is to find something reminiscent which actually has some decent projection/sillage.

My favorite sample that I got from their discovery kit. I feel like it's not incredibly unique or anything, but I do like it. I completely understand why it is one of Noteworthy's best sellers, and I think I'll wear it out sometimes, but I don't plan on buying a full bottle of it.

Ordered a sample of this through Noteworthy AI test. It’s a lovely fall/winter woody scent. To me though it’s too close to Mason Louis Marie Bois De Balincourt which is my go to for that season.

Sweet, Slightly Spicy, Musky, Woodsy This one does not leave much of an impression on me. It's not even a jeans and white tshirt good for layering wardrobe staple sort of scent, but it's not a scrubber either. If you look at the reviews on Noteworthy this would appear like it is by far their top selling perfume, but I truthfully do not understand why because it is very far from my personal preference. Luckily this is not one they have sent me in their discovery set sampler but a sample I purchased independently. I love vetiver but this vetiver dries down almost to a gasoline-like scent. It is one of those scents that I am unsure of if I go nose blind to or if my skin eats it or it truly is this weak because I barely detect it after a few minutes.

One of the four scents I got in my Noteworthy discovery set. Not my favorite, but not bad by any means. If you like amber, musk, and vetiver, this is a good fragrance for you. I do love vetiver, but I can take or leave the other notes and they're not doing anything spectacular here together for me. I don't really get any LOTV or patchouli. It's a warm, spicy, almost orangey (but not quite) scent, but it's a little too spicy for me. Eventually settles into mostly vetiver on me. Like the other Noteworthy scents I've tried, it doesn't project or last very well. Three hours, maybe, with snatches of scent here and there after. 6.5/10.

Sharp. Slightly floral, but mostly rich, clear and warm amber. No pickle in the clean sandalwood. Reminds me strongly of something specific, and I cannot place it. Smells more like a classic perfume would, though not heavy. Lily of the Valley is bright and breezy, softly sweet. The cedar is more apparent. As it dries, the brightness of vetiver and flowers strengthens, becoming sweeter and cloying. Immediately, this puts the fragrance into evening outing territory; sharper and obvious. Not my thing. A nostalgic experience that's just too perfume-y.

I like this scent which is surprising because I’m not a woods kind of girl. I normally prefer florals. However, I dislike the fact that Noteworthy numbers their scents and with the quiz and marketing, they somehow make you think that they have 100 choices when they really only have 17. They don’t hide that fact but they don’t tell you up front either. The full 3.3 oz size of this is over $100 which I think is overpriced. This reminds me of something else but I’m not sure what.

I received this randomly as a sample (had never heard of this brand before), and the packaging/sample card only listed lily of the valley, amber and sandalwood. Interesting to look on here and find out there are more notes. To me it's a warm, woody, lightly sweet fragrance. I expected it to be more floral from the muguet but it mainly seems like amber and woods. I prefer a light, fresh scent, so this isn't my taste.

My fourth and final Noteworthy scent. This is the best of the four, but it's still the opposite of noteworthy. Uninspired, inoffensive but bland and not a noteworthy statement to be had. Needless to say, I won't be using my discount code if anyone wants it. This has been a very lame experience and I'm not feeding the animals.

This is a pretty good dupe of LeLabo Santal. I have found a closer dupe with more projection and longevity called Stallion 53. It's a 100 mil bottle (twice as big) for $30 on Amazon. I also own the 100 mil bottle of LeLabo Santal 33 it was a gift. I love Santal 33 but the longevity and projection is low on me.

I got a sample in the scent box. It's like a body mist, not a perfume. Reallllly light.

I have had such a journey with this fragrance and Noteworthy. This is my first review on here, because I had to spread the word on this one: it cannot handle changes in temperature. I received samples of this scent in 2 discovery kits in the early fall last year and fell in love. Since then, I have ordered various sizes of it 4-5 times, and every time, I smelled virtually nothing, much like other reviewers. I live in the Northeast and have figured out that something happens to this fragrance in transit when it is shipped during any time of year warmer than 80 and cooler than 65 degrees. Instead of the gorgeous Lily of the Valley that used to be at the top of this fragrance, I only get a muted woody cedar scent. If that's what you are smelling, know that that is not the way this fragrance is supposed to smell. Noteworthy customer service has essentially gaslit me and told me over and over again that I'm the only person to have ever made this complaint. If you are not getting a rich, well-blended, floral amber, please contact their customer service and make a similar complaint. I loved this when I got to smell the real deal, and I keep urging this company to reformulate so the majority of us don't get a lackluster product upon arrival. I would go out of my way to purchase this in a store if that was even an option, but sadly, it is not. For now, it's just a letdown.

Immediately difficult to smell. I had to spray twice to really pick up on it. The wood notes are nice, but the musk that comes through was just unpleasant for me. It became all I could smell, and for me it smells too much like weird, sweet farts. After trying to wash it off three times it finally is stripped down to the base notes which are very nice, at least.

This is a very creamy and sweet with a slight floral to it. In general I’m disappointed by these and hoping I can find a friend who would enjoy it more than me. There is a lot more interesting frags on the market right now that are the same price and longevity.

Reminiscent of Jazz Club by Maison Margiela, but an inferior dupe. The sandalwood in here is so strong it is overwhelming and not well incorporated in the overall composition. Just bleh and a pass for me...

I got a sample box from noteworthy which was really cool in theory (you take a personality test and they send you 4 samples that they think would suit you, for $24 AND you get a coupon for a full size) but unfortunately these perfumes just do not perform. This smell is so lovely, smells like a Lush employee playing in a sunny field. However it only lasts a few moments before becoming BARELY a skin scent :( hoping to find a dupe that is longer lasting.

Noteworthy is worth doing if you are just starting out in your perfume journey. The scents they chose for me according to my quiz results do please me, but I’ve got about a hundred perfumes, all of which I love, so I find that each noteworthy scent reminds me of something I already have. N,551 reminds me enough of Guerlain Samsara that I don’t feel moved to buy it. .

I hate this one, I’m not sure why. I did the quiz and got my four samples. I am a bit disappointed. They all smell kind of generic, reminiscent of existing fragrances, and nothing I’d want to wear. I was really hoping I’d be surprised, but nay.
