n,619

Spicy, Warm, Woody, Hint of Sweet Musk Smells like eating a cinnamon candy cane while shopping at the Christmas Market in Schiltach, Germany in the heart of the Black Forest. It is both invigorating and cozy at the same time. It is the all the good feelings and magic of Christmas in a bottle. It is enticing, enchanting, and dashing. It makes me feel warm, cheerful, and assured. This scent is versatile, season-less, and can be worn day or night for any occasion in my opinion, but I particularly like the idea of it in the fall and winter. I can't help but compare this to n,345, because to my nose, both n,345 and n,619 follow a similar fougere DNA. n,345 is the spring, summer, daytime complement to n,619 for fall, winter, evenings. Both are fresh spicy, but n,619 is warm spicy, like an amber-ish fougere, while n,345 is aromatic spicy, like a citrusy-clean fougere. The dry down is more of woodsy sweet and spicy musk for n,619 compared to n,345's earthy clean musk dry down. I detect both lavender and patchouli (an almost primal intoxicating combination to me) in both scents. I also detect a cinnamon (not a very sweet one, but rather a dry peppery cinnamon) or a Cardamom or black licorice note even though I don't see it listed. It may just be the way the other notes are blended that has it giving me cinnamon vibes. I see the person who loves n,345 (a.k.a., me, ha!) also loving n,619. Both of these layer beautifully with n,232 if you want to add even more warmth to the scents. n,619 + n,345 + n,232 = my cozy cabin dweller style persona's ideal signature scent triad. Sillage, projection, and longevity are all average for me (arm's length, 4-8 hours). All perfumes are unisex, but I am a feminine women, e.g. 80% of my wardrobe is dresses and skirts, who loves wearing n,619 and tends to prefer many more traditionally masculine perfumes. Wear what you love! :-)

Old Spice light. I wanted to like this because it's called "coastal" for some reason?? and I like aquatic notes but there is nothing aquatic here. Sharp woods, bold citrus, a light almost imperceptible floral, and a good amount of warmth. It's not bad, just not for me. Reads too masc and too sharp. I can't understate how much this reminds me of Old Spice but a less complex version (not necessarily in a bad way! just simplified)

Very clean, aromatic and crisp smell, nice, but nothing special, blends in as a nondescript men’s fragrance. For me, this is a pass. It’s just not “noteworthy” enough as I like very distinct fragrances not mediocre.

To me this one smelled similar to Drakkar Noir but less complex. It smelled somewhat dated. It's aromatic, clean, floral, woody and kind of masculine leaning.

I love leather and I love juniper, I also like geranium. But this blend doesn’t work for me. It’s bitter and powdery-sweet, heavy, and smells musky in a masc way. Smells like a lot of men’s fragrance that I can’t wear because they’re too sweet, too bitter, too strong, and overly citrus-mixed-with-lavender-y. Smells like oldspice, but slightly fruitier in a synthetic green apple way.
