Golden Yuzu

I love this one. I got it in a box of samples and Golden Yuzu was my favourite of all. It smells unique, unisex leaning a bit more soft - feminine, for me. I will buy a full size of this and share it with my partner cause he likes it on him as well. I can’t describe the scent too well because I find it unique. It’s not a beast performer longevity wise though.

The opening is a citrus bomb with a hint of plum and ginger. It smells okay, but I can't say I'm a huge fan. But after a couple of hours, the dry down on my skin is absolutely amazing - woody, musky tea with a hint of amber that gives it depth. Worth it solely for the dry down, which I adore, but I don't think I would ever commit to a full bottle of this. Edit 30/07: Okay I might take back what I said and go for the travel size bottle for start. It has grown on me for the last 4 days, there's something about it even in the opening that makes me want to sniff my wrists constantly.

Golden Yuzu broke my heart a bit. The first spray was pure sunshine – bright yuzu and cozy cardamom that made me feel weirdly happy and free, like it was about to become “my” summer scent. Within 15–20 minutes though, it twisted into this bitter, woody, almost scratchy cloud on my skin, and I could barely smell the blackcurrant or plum under it. What started as an androgynous, carefree citrus turned harsh so fast that I went from hunting for a full bottle to scrubbing it off at the sink. Beautiful opening, but on me, the drydown completely ruined the magic.
