Oud Venture

This scent breaks my heart. It is absolutely spectacular, a gorgeous oud scent. It has a bit of a tingle in the opening that reminds me of champagne (not the scent, more the vibe). It settles into the most incredible skin scent, like nuzzling a lover at night in a fancy hotel during a holiday trip. And all of this happens in less than three hours, then it is gone. If I can smell it on me in four it is like a distant whisper, a taunting jab that reminds me of the magical scent I could be wearing IF IT EVER STAYED ON THE SKIN. Really, it makes me passionately angry that this beauty performs so poorly AND in that price range. If it were 50 euros, sure. I would carry it with me and reapply liberally. But as it is priced now, I will simply keep having my heart broken over and over until my 10ml tester runs out. This is a big "love" - but I won't rate it that due to the cruel, cruel performance.

The performance on my skin above average but not so bad like people say here... On my scarf last forever. It doesn't smells like Oud Wood bit true this fragnance a clone. Byredo - Oud Immortel clone. And u know what? Oud Immortel has weaker performance, smells more natural, and cost much more money.

I agree with the similarities to the TF oud wood, but on my skin the longevity is great. I tested it in cold Denmark, just a spray behind each ear and it lasted whole day of walking mostly outside.

I get a strong similarity to Tom Ford Oud Wood. Has strong OUD note. If you know Oud Wood you know how this smells like. Very much similar scent.

This could be a signature fragrance. Notes are so beautifully blended. Altho100 € is too expensive for the performance it has. Sad but not disappointing, this has become already a normal practice. Getting a fragrance that is gorgeous and performs is a lottery ticket this days.

The only beautiful and worthy perfume in the collection and they discontinued it. I dont understand how people think this is like Oud wood, very different. The rest from collection is just synthetic s**t like most of commercial perfumes.

The opening smells like... toilet water. The dry down smells like oud and old book. A big NOPE for me.

Noellista has great fragrances like Rose Chant, Vanilla Club, So Delicious. I understand what those three mean and when to wear them, but this one is just pointless and isn’t special and unique like Rose Chant or So Delicious

Alright, another free Novellista sample, so let's see who did they plagiarize this tim... Aaaaaand, it's Oud Wood! Yeah, really didn't see this one coming. Clone house masquerading as niche.

Dont buy it, just don't Smells like a rotting book with a smokey note, very unpleasing and I doubt it will get compliments 1/10

Very very weak eau de perfume, or should i say colored smelly water

Very nice TF Oud Wood clone. I also understand comparing it to Versace Oud Noir or Byredo - Oud Immortel. Oud Venture basically has a niche oud vibe and I can understand why not everyone is pleased with this one. Oud is not an easy note to wear but there is nothing off-puting here. The dry-down is actually quite sweet myrrh. In general after recent Oud Wood and Versace Oud Noir reformulations as well as prices of TF sky-rocketing Novellista is solid alternative for Oud Wood lovers if you do not want to use juice with high price tag. I got this on Notino for 50 euros. Performance is decent, weak on skin but nice on clothes. If you own Versace Oud Noir you will get the idea. To wrap this up, If you like TF OW and you are on a budget and able to get this on discount, this is definitely worth checking 8/10

Smells exactly like Van Gils Live (which is/was way cheaper) but with a strong pepper note. Makes it a tad sharper. So basically it's a Tom Ford Oud Wood clone/inspiration. Smells strong initially but tones down and projection is 10-25cm from skin/clothing. At the price point it's sold right now (89gbp/99eur), try to get Van Gils live (+-20eur) or Rihanah Private Oud (28eur) tho the latter feels thicker and heavier and does not have the same strong pepper. Note: it's not Rihanna the artist, Rihanah is another frag house (I think Egyptian).

Got a free sample of this. Wearing it on my wrist right now. This is an obvious Tom Ford Oud Wood clone. Does not smell 100% identical but comes very, very close. Would be totally identical to a casual observer. If you can find this at a discounter it's a great, cheaper alternative for those who don't feel like paying the steep TF price tags.

It's poor man's Oud Wood. It seems to be almost identical, but with some random things going on in the background. While Tom Ford's composition feels high quality, this one is missing this. Performance is quite bad in both, but Novellista is even worse.

Got a sample from Notino - why does this perfume smell like toilet cleaner to my nose?! Makes no sense as there’s no citrus, but I even got my partner to smell it and she agreed with me. Will be giving this one a miss.
