Silk Destiny

For me a good intro to the world of perfumes smelling of roses. I normally disliked roses, but in this perfume I got enough roses - not overpowering but enough to make me smell my wrist again and again. I now moved from hating roses to trying out other similar perfumes: Delina (which is lovely too), and Initio - Atomic Rose (which - strangely enough - starts with a lot of rose but fizzles out pretty fast for me).

I received this a free sample, on me it smells predominately rose floral which is my kind of perfume as a regular wearer of Stella, Rare Pearls and Anais Anais. Unfortunately it's just too expensive because it doesn't last on me and it's not stand out different enough for me to purchase it. Shame.

Fruity, fresh notes embrace a crisp rose—not classically sweet, but freshly bloomed in the morning dew among greenery. The composition is very feminine, light, and slightly powdery. A portrait of a joyful young lady savoring a new day.

Seriously 2.9?? Come on people, there are many really bad ones out there, sold for much more than Silk Destiny, yet praised just because of the brand name. It’s an average but nice one...

For me it smells like a nice fabric softener. Something in the style of Clean Fresh Laundry. Give it a try if you like this kind of scents.

100% agree with Cuddle before me. This perfume smells, at least on me, exactly like fresh laundry if you ran it with a dash of some generic floral fabric softener. Another association I have is that of generic cosmetics smell like kinda cheap soap. It's not a bad smell. I wouldn't mind it as a bathroom spray. My nose doesn't pick up on any of the individual notes and the overall effect is rather flat and synthetic. The fragrance is linear and has a decent staying power of 6-7 hours. Sits pretty close to the skin. Overall it's the most meh perfume I have tried so far - I can't say that I hate it but I can't say that I like it either.

To me this is a combination between Narciso Rodriguez Poudree and London Burbery.The rose and jasmin are very prominent, just like an essence of rose. It is very appropriate for a conservative kind of woman, an elegant and classy woman.

Nothing special with this one as well (I rated the Unique Wood as well) A smell that you have smelt so many times before, basic and cheap. Really disappointed, I was looking forward to my sample though...

On me it smells either like fresh laundry or like walking into a hair salon, which, while not bad, is not what I'd look for in a perfume

Pleasant, generic, non surprising, flowery shampoo scent. Not among my favs, but not ugly as well.

I love pink pepper, rose and so as the other notes listed, but this... It smells like your grandmas cheap soap from the dollar tree. The ones with the neon color and the plasticky wrap with a flower print on top specifically. So soapy and cheap. I guess it has to do something with the tangerine and the Egyptian jasmine combo, even though the citrus dries down within minutes, but I still cant understand where this heavy cheapish soapy smell comes from. The rose in this is outdone and terribly combined with the other notes listed. Very disappointed..

I really liked the "unique tree", but this "silk fate" not at all. It reminds me of a perfumed hair dye.... Strong, harsh and boring because it smells one-dimensional...

This smells just like Armani Si. Same soapy-floral vibe. Doesn't last long, doesn't project much. Nice, nothing more.

Smells like Bamby described, but I wouldn’t say that in a good way. Strong chemical smell that gives a headache

i have a sample of this one and tried this so many times because to be honest, I don ́t really know what to think about it. It smells like an old lady to me even thoug the scent is heavy not at all. It is a fresh rose mixed with some citruses and I also get a feeling of a tuberose which probably makes it "older" to me. Sometimes I get only a fresh floral vibe, sometimes I get an old lady vibe. But I think I will never buy this one, just because it smells pretty generic. And also, ther are many similarities to Lancome Idole in my opinion (which I am not a fan of either).

I'm not normally a fan of white floral as jasmine tends to fire off a migraine in me, but this is really very pleasant. It opens rather fruity with prominent pear and then the rose comes through. I think the jasmine makes the rose sparkle, and the rose softens the jasmine and makes it smoother. It's very feminine and very pretty, but I'm not sure it's worth the cost. Silage is minimal as it lasting power, it lasted 2 hours on me and towards the end it gets a little soapy, but in a good way. Worth trying out if you like rose.

There are a lot of notes listed but this is all about the rose. I love the note of rose so I'm enjoying this; the longevity and quality is superb. I can smell it on my clothes and bed sheets the next day. The pear and jasmine are there too but it's subtle. It's a calming and uplifting fragrance. Leans feminine. Excellent.

I agree with all of the comments below, when i first sprayed it I went oh no please but then it got pleasant fruity and now the flowers and pepper/ tanginess comes thru. It probably deserves a bit higher score than 2.92. Curious to see how it performs in hot weather

You know the smell when your hair is freshly dyed with professional dyes, this is it how your hair smells afterwards. A little chemical cleaness in a bottle but in a good way.
