When this was released, I really wasn't sure if I'd like it, but I'm pleasantly surprised to say I do! It's a unique composition, especially for a celebrity collab-- I find they tend to stick to mass-appealing profiles, but I love this vibe. Violet is a note that I want to love me, but it sometimes just doesn't work. It can tend to come off sour or pissy on me. To my surprise, upon my initial spray on the testing strip, everything came off very sweet! Kind of took me for a whirl, I feel like I've smelled it before. It came off as sweet as saffron to me-- which I do love me some saffron. I'm not sure how that happened but I'm not complaining. Into the dry down, the tobacco is quite subtle-- it's definitely there but it's not as present or rich as I'd prefer, it's more like how I'd imagine a tobacco leaf to smell. Again, wish it was richer. I think I'd be floored if it was. Perhaps its dullness is from the cashmere coming through with it? I got a cashmere-y vibe at the same time as the tobacco. I like it. It's not the coziest cashmere I've smelled, think a tiny bit scratchy but it's that kind of blanket that still keeps you nice and warm. Addicting to smell on the tester strip.

Idk I really like it! It seems very feminine to me on the opening and then more fresh on the dry down. I kept sniffing my wrist! It feels very fresh for warm weather and maybe even a bit fruity. I already own a very similar perfume (Poom Poom by Maison Matine) so I did not purchase this one. However I liked it enough that if I didn’t have a similar one I would have picked it up!

There’s been so much hype around this fragrance, and I totally get it, who doesn’t love Ella? But I was expecting this fragrance to be a lot sweeter and more feminine leaning. It definitely feels more masculine to me personally, I would love to smell this on my man, I think it’s more his style. Smells like men’s soap, it’s very musky to my nose, with very little sweetness coming through. But the sweetness isn’t a floral type or fruity one, it may be coming from that honey accord. However, it shows up faintly in the middle notes and disappears quickly. Left me wanting more.... Unfortunately, it’s not for me.

I need some others to review this so I can figure out my thoughts, I think. I was expecting something different & that caught me off-guard. I was thinking this would be a lightly floral, warm, a bit sweet, maybe skin scent. Instead, it gives me the same vibe as Father Figure. Like the fresh, masculine smell of men's shaving cream or body wash. I can't decide if I like it or not. I don't smell the violet at all, which saddens me. I think it would smell amazing on a guy. I'm not sure if it's feminine enough for me, however. Please someone else chime in with your thoughts! :)

This is heavy on the tobacco and cashmere woods notes. The opening of this fragrance is very cologne like and the dry down becomes more powdery with a soft amber note and that tobacco note stays throughout. I don’t get much of the florals. Dry down feels unisex but the opening leans more masculine. Not sure how I truly feel about it since I really wanted to love it but it was just not what I expected. I layered it with something sweeter like Noyz only human and it softened it up for me.

At first it smells like the sticky floors of a frat house covered up by floral febreeze and vanilla perfume. As it dries down it thankfully loses that and becomes more of a generically synthetic shampooey floral. Surprisingly slightly unisex. I think the overtly “feminine” and sweet fragrances are played out, boring, and expected, so I do appreciate the direction of this. But I don’t like the perfume brand and this didn’t change my mind.

The notes sound great but unfortunately, this scent is very generic. I’m only getting amber, cashmere woods, and something slightly masculine- maybe the tobacco. It’s unisex enough that it wouldn’t be weird on a woman though. The dry down is reminiscent of Unmute, which is also very cashmere woods heavy. It’s fine and has mass appeal, but a pass for someone looking for a unique fragrance. Edit: after reading the reviews, yes, it is Old Spice. Also, it turned my skin red where I sprayed it.

Man I really had high hopes for this.. The notes make it sound so pretty. Then when I heard it was masculine that didn't even scare me away because a lot of my favorites are more unisex leaning. But this is just... Boring, honestly. I don't get why this is such a flop for me because all the notes in here sound wonderful. I guess maybe it's the tobacco note that ruins it for me.

This is not at all what I was expecting or hoping for. It stinks!! I don’t think any combo or layering will help. If you find one please let me know......I couldn’t put my finger on what it reminded me of until my sister said it smells like a “teenage boy that just showered in axe body wash” it was such a let down.

Be Her?? This should be called “Be HIM” all I smell is soapy Tobacco. It’s giving Old Spice. Not for me.

I think there is a bit of tobacco and amber in the base, but it is very feminine still. The violet and peony are the main notes. There is a similar powdery quality to rinse cycle from this brand, which is to say it’s a little clean on top of a sultry base. I don’t think this is super unique, but I can’t remember what it reminds me of. Rain City Rae’s has a much heavier tobacco floral that’s called Forever and Always, but it’s pretty different. I think this is light for the most part. I would say this is for a woman who wants a light floral without the harshness of white florals. 8/10

Ummm...this is masculine leaning with a fizzy musk in the dry down that tingles my nose. It smells like my husband’s Old Spice ‘fresh’ scent deodorant and maybe a touch of old school Cool Water cologne. On paper it is slightly floral...so maybe it will soften in time.

I mean, it’s nice. Violet Amber woods. It isn’t a projection type of scent, but it has a comfortable smell to it. Definitely unisex. Leans almost more masculine to me. Not worth the price necessarily since i personally don’t think it’s unique.

So disappointed! Zero sweetness. Clean and totally unisex. Is anyone else getting something pickle-ish? :(
