Detour

Just got this one in the mail. Was a total blind buy and my first NOYZ fragrance and I absolutely LOVE it. It’s bright and floral at first spray with that Mandarin and Apple Blossom immediately noticeable, but settles into woody, sweet floral with the musk coming out on the back end. Something about this scent reminds me of walking around Laguna Beach or driving down PCH in the Spring and Summer with the windows down. Not quite oceanic, but is reminiscent of an ocean breeze combined with the scent of just bloomed florals in a beach location. It is definitely a more personal fragrance and lasts longer on my clothing than my skin. The musk comes through more on my skin after dry down, while the florals stay more prominent on my clothing. It’s a perfect summer fragrance for those who like sweeter floral notes and prefer fragrances that stay close to your body. I bought the travel size and I love the quality of the bottle and spray nozzle. I will say that smelling the spray nozzle reads much different than how it smells when it’s sprayed, just on the off chance you come across this and just give it a whiff from the nozzle.

Blind bought this based on the marketing, which was so exciting and edgy! When I opened my bottle and excitedly sprayed it out, I was rocketed back in time to the early 90s and my beloved Salon Selectives shampoo and conditioner which had the most gorgeous and long lasting fresh green apple scent. This was so apple forward and sweet, and then started to morph into a more quiet vanilla with musky undertones, far less adventurous and exciting and less edgy than I was led to believe by the advertising. This is nice but it isn't cutting edge awesome like Unmute is, where I was just sitting there basking in the absolute gorgeousness of the peppery vanilla heaven! It also wasn't as evocative and filled with longing and wonder like Sh*tty Day is. I am hoping that as mine macerates that it will get stronger and deeper! I'm glad that I have it!

I unexpectedly love this. Unexpectedly because I’m not a big floral scents person, but this is so pretty and uplifting. It just makes me happy to catch it rising from my skin when I wear it. I only have the solid scent because of the difficulty of obtaining Noyz in the UK. The mix of fruit and floral notes is so well done, and the musky vanilla dry down is lovely. I paired it today with Entre Genres by Infiniment Coty to emphasise the musky notes and it was delicious.

The opening is beautiful, fresh, and fruity in a refined way. There's something addictive about it. It lasted an hour or so on me, then dried down to a peppery scent on my skin. Maybe that's the papyrus note. If they could make a perfume that smelled as good as the opening, but that lasted longer, I'd give them my last dollar. But I know that it's hard to make these types of notes stick around.

BEAUTIFULLLL. This is a yummy, fruity, floral smoothie. The progression of this scent is so well done and masterfully crafted. I don’t necessarily smell any of the notes listed, but it’s still lovely. It opens at the top with a bright mango smell that lasts about 5 minutes, then develops into a floral peach, and then dries down to a nice fruity, white floral fragrance. Love love love

This is my favorite of NOYZ's fragrances to date. The mandarin, apple blossom, and vanilla pop out on my skin in particular, balancing beautifully with a light woody note that lingers nicely. I enjoy wearing this both alone and layered. When used alone, I layer the fragrance balm with the EDP and I find it lasts longer than either used alone, if that makes sense.

This one is not talked about a lot. It should be! This is a fresh fragrance that lightens my mood when I put it on. I get more of a fruity scent from it more than floral. The gardenia is light and inoffensive. This isn't beast mode or anything. Will last a few hours. It's just a nice easy to wear fragrance. Agree it is a shampoo like fragrance.

I absolutely love this one! It’s so fresh and fruity. This was my first LOVE by noyze. The apple blossom and mandarin and perfect! Love the jasmine! I need a full size. Already have a dent in the travel size and I gave a huge collection.

Fun, white flower, fruity scent. Reminds me of those old movies where a lone woman is driving a drop top sports car with big sunglasses and a scarf to keep her hair neat on a long stretch of highway... or I just don't want to go to work.

to me it smells like a more mature version of Our Moment by One Direction! so yummy i can't get enough

I've never smelled such an accurate "apple blossom", this really is amazing to witness if you're curious about it. You do get the apple, but also...such a beautiful, delicate white floral as well. Depending on how you're smelling this and the temperature of the air, you might get true springtime florals, but it also might read as *shampoo*. That being said, if perceived as shampoo...it's truly one of the best in that range (apple+florals can absolutely be shampoo-y). It's clean, and lovely. It has an understated romanticism about it...it's like Nicholas Sparks' novel featuring a woman from the countryside. As it dries, it loses a little of the apple and becomes more laundry-esque. It's still decidedly pretty though.

Pretty white florals track from first spray until dry down. There’s an apple blossom note that reads a little like a clean shampoo scent which isn’t unpleasant at all—it’s a shower clean green like a tart Granny Smith apple. The slightest bit of citrus sort of props up the fruity-floral apple blossom accord before it transitions into something bigger with gardenia at the forefront of a crush of white flowers. In the dry down, I can pick out vanilla and a clean skin scent, but the papyrus gets lost in the mix, buried under the jasmine-and-tiare combo, and gardenia musk. It’s pleasant, clean, and really nice on a rainy spring day.

I tried this in Ulta and am now half-way through a travel spray, which I bought without checking the notes. I'm very surprised to see gardenia listed as a note, because I am a gardenia hater--I don't like creamy notes. To me, this is a very strong sweet orange scent. Pretty quickly it turns into a skin scent. I wish it were cheaper so I could spray more frequently, because I love the opening. I also wish Noyz would offer 100-mL bottles. I never thought of myself as a sweet fruity scent girl, but I like this. It's very summery and happy. It reminds me of Burberry Her Blossom, but stronger and punchier.

Detour is so confusing based on the marketing. I got a sample before release and tried it without reading the notes. It is a really simple apple floral. I'm not sure what I was expecting, but this doesn't feel like a car with the windows down on a road trip. It feels like shampoo. It's feels like the hand soap in the powder room of the Kayali Fluer Majesty marketing. Lol It is not a bad fragrance. I really like it. It just doesn't really fit the vibes they advertised.

I wasn't expecting to like this one as much as I did. You're first hit with the Mandarin and Vanilla (not like a creamsicle) and in the background there's the floral note. The floral Gardenia note isn't the main star, but it is present, so it's more ideal for someone who can tolerate some floral, but isn't looking for very floral or no floral. It's sweet like a candle or Bath & Body Works scent but in a non-offensive way.

Initial thoughts: I feel like this one smells really special and unique on a fragrance strip- kinda floral but light and citrusy at the same time and a little woody to ground everything. On the skin I only smell clean/shampooey white floral. Nothing over complicated at all. It’s okay- I would test on skin first!

I usually hate florals but this one is suprisingly very yummy, almost a gourmand floral somehow. Super fresh and springy. Unsure if i would purchase as I only tested it but maybe a travel size! This is the only scent from the noyz collection I actually like.

I love this fragrance and it makes sense because it smells incredibly similar to Gucci gorgeous gardenia. It also shares the fact that it doesn’t last long. I get 1 hour projection 2-3 hours skin scent. This is beautiful I’ll just stick with Gucci.

A crowd-pleasing safe scent. Doesn't smell terribly unique but I may come back to this and add it to my collection later on. The freshness is almost aquatic.

I like this. It's not super heavy on the white florals and I think the apple blossom gives it a pear like scent. It's just fresh and shampooey

Have to second two reviews below. This is quite lovely. But in less than two hours it’s done :( This is what I tend to experience in this line of fragrances. (I LOOOVE Lost And Found) They’re gorgeous, fun, and yummy. But they disappear faster than a one note symphony. So far, I’ve found that Unmute and 12:00 stick around the longest for me, but even then, not long enough. While they’re not Xerjoff or Kurkjian-level expensive, $85 bucks is still a lot to shell out for an eau de parfum that performs like a weak eau de cologne.😕

I really get the apple blossom in the opening, which was lovely. But, the dry down lowkey reminds me of someone that just mowed a lawn. Like grass clippings and almost sweaty. Not my fave.

I thought I liked this on first spray, but I liked it less and less as the day went on, like the top notes increasingly clashed with the base notes.

Shampoo. Fine. Meh. More white floral than I anticipated. Not keeping it.

First - Im a big fan of Noyz. Second - I dont know what I am smelling in this fragrance. I smell - A this -and - B that but nothing cohesive. This is my least favorite of the whole bunch. Right now, not a fan. Side note, it does smell mixed floral sweet. The end. UNMUTE, 12:00, SHITTY DAY - THUMBS UP~

This reminds me of le mond gourmand fleur de blond and gucci flora which I love. I liked the opening but didn’t like the dry down. It kinda stinks in only a few minutes.

It opens surprisingly bitter & sharp which takes some getting used to. It then softens into a heavy gardenia that's very Gucci reminiscent. It finally settles into a subtle, skin scent that's vanilla-y which I definitely don't mind. Kind of more like a ghost of a fragrance, occasionally catching you off guard with its fleeting whiffs in the air when you least expect it. It reminds me so much of that dense intensity in the air after it rains—a sour petrichor (definitely layered and interesting but super unexpected to me).

This is a beautiful fruity gardenia. It dries down to smell quite sweet. When I smelled this, I kept thinking that it smelled like something I already had, but it took me weeks to place it. Revel by the Maker is a near dupe and new release. They are both fruity gardenias. Revel leans a bit more tropical with a strong pineapple note versus Detour's apple blossom. I enjoy Revel's opening slightly more, but Detour lasts longer and is almost 100 dollars cheaper for a full bottle. I would also say that Detour is much more accessible and generous with coupons than the Maker brand. It's a no brainer

I tested this in-store today, and had it not faded before I even left the store I probably would have purchased it on the spot. It is a fantastic citrusy white floral and I really enjoyed it while it lasted, but given how weak it is (I sprayed this on me about 2 hours ago, and I really packed it on), I unfortunately can't say that it is worth the price. If this would actually last then it would absolutely be in my collection.

I am new to even trying floral heavy scents but this Gardenia and Apple blossom is literally so beautiful and simple and doesn't smell like a funeral home. It is so clean and sharp scented that it comes off more as a "clean" linen scent than a floral. Very pretty and sophisticated!

Gucci Gorgeous Gardeina but without the patchouli! I find this quite long lasting. The musk is clean and warm and there is something a little spicy at the base that’s definitely giving niche. This is absolutely beautiful!

SOOOO yum i love it, idk why the top scent profile is white floral to me it is totally citrus forward, like citrus then floral then white floral I was going to buy only human but i honestly like this one more

Smells just like Gucci gardenia literally couldn’t tell the difference. Definitely a nice cheaper alternative!
