Only Human

This is one of those fragrances that make you realize just HOW MUCH a person's body chem affects the scent. Almost everyone i know who has this perfume, says it can barley be smelled at arms length. This is NOT the case for me. Idk what it is about my body chemistry and ambroxan but boy oh boy my body PROJECTS this scent. I have the body chem where almost all perfume fades on me almost instantly, no idea why. Even beast modes like Killian angel share paradis. Poof gone. Nowhere to be smelt. But scents I usually despise like iris and orris my body clings too, but luckily for me ambroxan and cedars stay on me. Finally a vanilla scent you can actually smell on me. And I have to say someone even told me they felt like they could still smell this perfume in their nose after they left hanging out with me. I used to get this same effect with the old formula of glossier you, back when it was very ambrox heavy. On me this is a projecting soft vanilla that has a tiny peppery punch to it. But im lucky ambroxan also ALWAYS pulls sweet on me. If you know that it dosnt pull sweet on you this may not be the scent for you. I usually layer this with kylie cosmic intense on my clothes themselves because on my skin cosmic vanishes. But see I have the opposite issue with only human. Only human dosnt stay on my clothes, but on my skin itll last HOURS. I once put it on before bed to test it and the next morning 8+ hours i still smelt it on me. TLDR- If ambroan pulls sweet and projects on you this is 100% your scent.

This is my favorite fragrance in a very long time! I’ve never left a review but I thought I’d give my two “scents” on this one 😉. First of all! I like vanilla but really don’t like gourmands all that much, generally. If it pulls too sweet—it’s just gross to me. It probably doesn’t shock anyone that this doesn’t do that given it’s not marketed as a gourmand, but honestly I don’t use vanilla all that much because it almost always pulls too sweet in perfumes. Not in this one!! Only Human is the perfect balance of vanilla, ambroxan, cedar and smoke—maturing into a benzoin. Skin chemistry matters a lot for this one. I see a lot of people complaining about how it smells like windex, and that’s probably why. Oh well, everything isn’t for everyone. I suggest trying it on at a local Ulta before buying it first. I would say this fragrance has moderate to low sillage and average longevity (4-6 hrs on me). Generally that wouldn’t bother me at all, but I love this fragrance SO much that I want to just bathe myself in it. It’s really just such a beautiful and inoffensive scent that I wouldn’t mind being smelled from across the room or for 10+ hrs. At all. I’ve been trying to find “dupes” or alternatives and there aren’t really any on the market yet, and NOYZ hasn’t come out with an intense version yet (they probably won’t). I do not recommend buying the “mylk” (fragranced lotion), especially if you have sensitive skin. It gave me super bad hives, and even has a warning about it on the back of the bottle 🙃

I usually hate vanilla in fragrances, and I avoid perfumes centered around that note. This really works for me though because the vanilla is NOT sweet and it’s very natural. It works well in combination with the ambroxan and cedar creating a warm musky scent instead of something gourmand and cloying like I find most vanillas to be. If you’re picky about vanilla but want to try it this would be a good choice. Something about it feels nostalgic in an early 90s kind of way. It also kind of smells like a person, idk how else to describe that note I’m getting. I love the brand NOYZ overall, I’ve liked every fragrance I’ve tried and plan on getting all of the 0.5 oz travel sprayers at some point. They are reasonably priced with good quality sprayers and have more product than the typical travel size. I would rate this 9/10

A vanilla “skin-scent” that is simple but absolutely necessary😍 This is a lightly sweet airy Vanilla with alot of ambroxan which adds such an addictive quality. It’s creamy, warm, musky with a noticeable woody base but it’s not overdone, more so a transparent woodiness. The cedar adds a slight earthiness. It is veryy smooth and just melts into your skin like it’s a part of you. So comforting n cozy. Almost intoxicating when I smell it directly from my skin. Very ADDICTING, when u spray it u just wanna keep dousing yourself in it. It’s sweet and a lil sugary but in a very understated way. Woody but not too woody, musky but not too musky, etc.. it’s balanced very well. It also lasts well especially on clothes. I highly recommend if you love your simple but good vanillas &/or skin-scents 😇 🍦☁️🌫️🪵🍨🫶

This has everything I love in a fragrance. I love a woody vanilla and I love molecular scents. This is a gentle, sweet, woody vanilla but has a little bit of spice and freshness to it. If you like scents that are as I described and also scents with musky ambroxan this is for sure worth trying. I really debated on whether I needed ANOTHER vanilla in my collection because I already have so many but this one stands out. It has amazing performance as well. Especially considering it's a skin scent. I smell it all day on me. To me, this smells like the love child of Phlur Vanilla Skin and Le Labo Another 13. I still feel the need to have this in my collection since I only have a 10ml of Another 13 that I use very sparingly.

My atomizer broke IMMEDIATELY after purchase ...... other than that, scent is a very clean skin ambrox and vanilla note. It is not earthy, the cedar note reminds me of freshly cut dry wood or pellets. It is a cold vanilla scent, not a warm cookies or baked goods note but is still sweet. Honestly not the most unique vanilla frag I own but that is the beauty of it - it is simple, clean, sexy, just a little woody, perfect for a nice clean comfy sweater. The sillage is perfect, I hugged my friend and she said she could smell it on her clothes hours later. It is a little oily on the neck but could be my broken atomizer. Sticks perfectly to clothing, does not fade off of it.

at first whiff, it's like a slightly piney vanilla. as it lingers, it's the body spray your older sister's best friend always wore. whenever you got to hug her, that cozy warmth lingered like nothing else, you smell it at random in your life, forever wondering exactly what it was. this is pretty damn close. it's delicious skin-hugging sweetness that lasts, so intoxicating that i want to keep smelling my wrist forever. i placed it as a fall/winter scent, but if layered with something a bit fresher and brighter, it could easily work for the warmer months-- this will probably be my new every day scent.

i have the solid perfume: i get a warm pink pepper vanilla underlined with a fresh, bright but earthy scent from the cedar and bergamot. definately not a cloyingly sweet scent, but as someone who can give or take a vanilla fragrance, i really enjoy the dry down. as the fragrance settles, it becomes much more of a skin scent and less of a sweet one, as a powdery cedar note settles in with a light, and almost clean kind of sweetness. the fresh watery notes from bergamot and waterlily balance out in the dry down, too, calming it down and settling it into the skin. very light, sweet, and layerable.

I’ve never loved an Ambroxan fragrance before, but I LOVE LOVE LOVE this. Now I understand what everyone’s talking about... That warm quality that you can’t put your finger on, which smells different on everyone and develops over time. I always thought people were making it up, but it’s very real in this fragrance. I was at the store today and I put on 10 different fragrances... This outlasted everything by a longshot, and over time it just kept getting better and better. I have over 900 fragrances and probably several hundred vanillas, and this one is top top notch!

If you consider yourself: alternative, edgy, funky, quirky, avant garde, creative, gritty, unconventional, or offbeat...then this is the vanilla for you. If you identify as one of those but have been wanting to try a vanilla scent but can't stand something sugary sweet, Only Human is the cool older sibling to the saccharine, sugary sweet, cupcake-esque vanillas everyone is obsessed with right now. I would agree that this scent feels very unisex. I bought the mylk de parfum - have never used a formula like this before, but I really love it!

I mostly wear vanilla/gourmand scents and this fragrance is a unique one in my collection. It reads as a smokey, woody, "cold" vanilla rather than a "warm" vanilla like Burberry Goddess. It's the type of scent you'd see on a cool, chic girl wearing a leather jacket and maybe a black turtleneck on a brisk fall afternoon. It's a little more unisex than other vanilla scents, but still leans feminine. I will say that the vanilla is reminiscent of Mod Vanilla, but it definitely has a smokey twist to it that Mod does not. Overall a great scent!

@Thewidowpacman I adore Poets of Berlin and Wild Vanilla Orchid, and even more so Bibbi X Vanilla, which to my mind is Epinette’s best vanilla/bamboo, being a bit softer and better blended than the first two. So if Only Human is another take on that, I’m desperate to try it. Sadly Noyz doesn’t ship to the UK and the only stockist over here, Harrods, is almost completely out of stock with no sign of restocking. Tbh, I think they made a mistake by stocking in Harrods, the range would fit much better in Space NK or Cult Beauty.

Had to come and write my love of this scent. I normally and a very woody, earthy gal. Sandalwood, cedar, patchouli, incense, tea, you get it? I don’t like sweet scents and I get migraines. Off first smell this scent was divine. I didn’t get the heavy vanilla compared to most gourmands. The pink pepper, ambroxan and cedar stood out to me and made me immediately purchase. It’s been an everyday wear since along with the solid. It’s also perfect for wearing alone or layering. Thank you Noyz for my new fall/winter signature

At first smell, this reminded me of MOD vanilla by Ariana. It doesn’t anymore, but I still love the smell; it’s very addicting and crowd-pleasing. I do find that it can become a bit cloying to my nose after a while, but I think that has to do with personal sensitivity, not a fault of the fragrance. It also does not last long or project well unless you overspray, but letting it sit on my shelf for a few months has definitely made it last longer. All in all, I really enjoy this scent

This is EXACTLY the perfume I have been looking for. I love vanilla but I hate the overly cloying and sharp ones like Vanilla 28. It's warm, cozy, and a little smoky without being very in your face. It has a really nice musky vibe too despite not having any musk in it. Upon immediate sniff, it does smell like a combo of Vanilla Skin and By the Fireplace, but it develops on the skin quite differently. It's a lot easier on the senses in my opinion.

I love this frag, but I love the perfume mylk in this scent even more. It’s pretty close to the body, intimate scent bubble at best, would layer happily with many lactonic vanillas. I overspray and I love the coziness in my hair and on my clothes. Really, this is how I want to smell, it feels very me. Vanilla bean, cedarwood, ambroxan skin scent.

Smells like Vanilla Skin + You, and I love it soooo much. This has quickly become the scent I reach for most often; it’s cozy, warm, a little sweet, sits close to the skin, and it’s super addicting. It might be a bit too musky when summer comes, but otherwise will work year round. I love both the spray and solid, just perfection.

In the opening I get mostly the cedar and pink pepper, but it quickly becomes a very clean-smelling, creamy vanilla. Definity skin-hugging. In the beginning I'll maybe get some whiffs of it, but after a bit I can only smell it if my nose it right where I sprayed. I layered it with DedCool Mochi Milk today and am addicted.

This may be strange but I LOVE the way the cedar is done in this scent for fall. Vanilla is quite nice and the NOYZ line always has that little bit of pepper. Sure - there may be things similar out there but I didn't already have a good woody vanilla. This one got my attention and I enjoy their packaging. Loving it.

I absolutely HATE noyz perfumes to the point of having to scrub them off immediately. I also usually hate pepper in perfume. I was really hesitant to try this one but something about this is so perfect. It’s a beautiful, cozy, comforting vanilla skin scent. My new favorite perfume of all time!

If you’re looking for a warm musky vanilla scent that still smells sweet this is for you! Not overbearing at all and lasts a decent while. Might plan on getting the perfume but for now I have the solid perfume which I love using to touch up any other similar vanilla or musk perfume I have on.

This fragrance is too airy to be smoky, and it’s very warm but light. It reminds me most of Eau Duelle or Gypsy Water, but it’s softer, with no juniper/pine or bright citrus notes. It gives elevated skin scent - I think it’s great on its own but would also be wonderful for layering.

Don't hate me for saying this but this reminds me a lot of BR540 and AG Cloud. But this is way more toned down and easy to wear at home. It's soft and doesn't project too much. It's a skin scent that I get whiffs of and I quite enjoy it! It smells less juvenile than cloud too.

omg i love this one so much. it's just so yummy. i love to pair it with the twist vanilla latte no 145 for a super duper vanilla combo. it's great and cozy for fall and winter and a crowd pleaser every time i wear it. it's a big of a splurge for me but so worth it!

This is like summercamp to me, burnt marshmallow at the fireside. It brings back memories of flashlights bouncing on the narrow paths to cabins, giggling with girlfriends I only knew for the week. Holding hands sticky from s'mores and clothes permeated with smoke.

When I first smelled this fragrance, the vanilla note reminded me of MOD Vanilla by Ariana. They're very different, but I love both. This is my boyfriend's favorite scent as well; he said I smell like a cloud. I also feel like this is definitely a crowd pleaser

This is almost identical to Al Rehab Choco Musk. Choco Musk might have the slightest bit more of a vanilla/ chocolate bent, but I'm really searching for a difference. If you like one you'll like the other, and if you have one you don't need the other.

this smells incredible BUT i got the solid perfume version thinking it would be nice in my purse and it will be going back to the store IMMEDIATELY. zero smell whatsoever. what is there is gone in 20 mins. complete ripoff and waste of money

Coziness in a bottle. My new fav vanilla, I’m obsessed. There is something really addictive about this scent so it must be tripping some memory wires for me. This is what I want a warm vanilla to be. Already a lifer for me.

It’s a pleasant smelling spring/summer scent. It’s ok, kind of meh! There are much better choices out to try especially for this high price point for a small bottle. I’m not impressed. Notes are nice.

I have found my holy grail every day scent in this musky, warm, fuzzy vanilla. So comforting, a tiny bit weird, and unobtrusive enough to wear to the office. I’m in love.

This is the softer smoother version of Unmute from the same brand, super warm soft cozy. It was a LOVE at first sniff, and the sprayer is to die for

Love it, but I also love Vanilla Skin. I wouldn’t buy this if you have vanilla skin scents, but if you’re looking for it then this is perfect.

From the noyz line I’ve tried 12:00, shi**y day and unmute. all of them project like crazy and have really GREAT lasting power, nearing beast mode territory. Not always a good thing because unmute is the only one I like/LOVE. It’s worth mentioning they all have a ‘cigarette ash’ note in their DNA. This is the only safe blind buy from their line. I love all the popular skin scents, aside from the fact that- by definition they stay super close to the skin. I was hoping NOYZ would finally quench my thirst for a your skin but better scent that left a trail or at least stayed for more than an hour. But it doesn’t :( Out of my skin scents this one smells the most like vanilla vibes by JHAG, (VV preforms better) with a dash of glossier you from the pepper- however it has an edgier profile because it still has the tiniest hint of their signature ash smell. This is the “cool girl” of skin scents. There’s nothing offensive or not to like about the fragrance so I’ll be keeping it, but it’s redundant to my collection. Ps the mylk forms of both unmute and only human are actually awesome, they smell exactly like their spray counterparts, seem to be about as powerful and aren’t sticky. Looking forward to using them as bases for other perfumes.

I received a free sample of the Mylk version of this fragrance through Noyz's recent promotion! I have previously tried on the Only Human spray version at Ulta, so I jumped at the chance when I saw my favorite fragrance influencer (and honestly the only one I follow) Perfumerism sponsoring a promotion with Noyz. Fortunately, I was one of the one thousand who signed up to receive a sample of Noyz's new Mylk perfume. First of all, the product itself is a lot waterier and a lot less lotion-like than I was expecting. It was very smooth and quick to dry into my skin. After that, the fragrance was very similar, if not the exact same to what I remember from the spray version. It's like toasting a marshmallow in reverse, but as a skin scent. It definitely has that "your skin but better" kind of vibe to it, but very sweet and gourmand. My only qualm with this is the price tag of $95- I simply cannot justify it. You're better off to purchase the spray version for a better price if you enjoy the scent. However, this is a cool gimmick, and I wonder if it'll catch on with other brands and houses.

This is a vaguely spicy, incense-y vanilla that isn't terribly sweet. If you like unmute, you'll like this one too. Unmute is the moody and rebellious older sister, and only human is like a cross between a hippie and a clean girl (in a good way). She is not a dreads and patchouli hippie. She worships Stevie Nicks, wears long white skirts and halter tops with tons of gold bangles and hangs suncatchers in her windows. The spice/smokiness mostly fades after a few minutes and sweetens up a bit on the dry down. Don't let this put you off, but it does give play-doh a little bit. (I personally like that a lot) This is a really good one to have around for layering, I think it would do a great job softening up harsher scents. This is a safe blind buy if vanilla fragrances are your thing. Update: after having this and letting it sit awhile, the sweetness has increased, and the "smokey/incense" note I was picking up on has blended itself more into the vanilla. It didn't disappear, they're just so harmonious it doesn't stand out like it used to. Love her still, very happy I bought a full size.

On my skin chemistry, this fragrance leans more on the leather side than the vanilla side. It's a pleasant and sensual mild leather scent, with a vanillic undertone that some leathers naturally have. It's like cuddling up on a well-loved light tan leather couch. It doesn't have much projection, and is definitely a skin scent. I can see it layering well with sweeter / more gourmand vanillas to add extra depth, or to supercharge the warmth of other fragrances. It's the fragrance equivalent of a basic in your wardrobe - it goes with everything, isn't hyper-distinctive, but nothing fits like it.

The opening and the smell right out of the bottle had me HOOKED!!!! My body chemistry tends to make fragrances sweeter, and this just turns into such a basic bitch vanilla on my skin 😔. I wish the dry down on my skin had more of the woodiness, pink pepper, and freshness I smelled in the opening!!!!!! It smells like Eilish no. 1 and VS Bare Vanilla on my skin. Not that that’s bad, I just feel deceived 😭. On the plus side, the longevity is GREAT, it was on sale at Ulta, and I could probably layer anything with this and it’ll smell good. That opening though 😩 I neeeeeed that...

I'm surprised no one has said this smells like Sol De Janeiros DNA. I have Sol De Janeiro 40 on my left arm and this on my right and they smell so identical I can't even tell. Asked a friend about this too and she couldn't tell the difference. Also, this vanilla has more of a coconut vibe on me. Not a bad fragrance, saw someone say she biked 20 miles in this and it stayed nice. I did intense working out in this and I still smell fresh and marshmellow-y, but I'd get some sort of Sol De Janeiro fragrance/body butter if you want to save money.

Still deciding on this. Definitely heavy on the ambroxan but it’s advertising itself as a musky skin scent with a slight gourmand lean- which is what led me to picking this as my first “my skin chemistry but better” scent. Didn’t buy a full size and I’m glad I did not. I think once I’m done with the travel vial I won’t repurchase but it’s been a good scent to transition into fall with. For noyz, I think I prefer unmute.

A super lovely vanilla scent. Definitely not synthetic or fake smell at all which is super nice. I can see this being a really good scent for colder weather and like someone else said, it would be great for layering with other scents. It kinda reminds me of Billie Eilish No. 1 but less sugary/intense/cloying. I definitely will get myself a travel sized next payday.

very woody fresh! despite having a vanilla note, i would not classify this one as a gourmand, but rather something truly unisex and very human (lol). i usually don't like ambrox notes but this one is very far in the background. i feel like this reminds me of memories i have yet to live, but will come to reminisce on in the future

I liked it a lot on the test paper but when I sprayed it on my skin it smelled like windex and powder for a good hour. After that though the scent settled more and became a very soft floral skinlike scent. The vanilla is the strongest but I can still smell the undertones of bergamot and cedar. It's not an overpowering fragrance

The vanilla in the base is very overwhelming, almost pushes it into a bakery scent upon first application. The fresher scents mostly come out when it’s dried down and the sugar is gone when the ambroxan and water lily shine through. A sweater left alone for a few days smelled almost powdery so... patience is a virtue
