The synthetic and very fruity and sweet, perhaps overly sweet, opening fades but never disappears as the smoky wood aspects grow stronger during the dry down. After four hours it is a very weak skin scent. This can be worn year round, although it might not be the first choice during winter months. Priced appropriately and an attractive bottle. However, my bottle came with the medallion on the top of the cap dislodged. I put it back on but it is still loose and prone to falling out again.

I've liked the other oud fragrances I've tried (Ajmal Aristocrat for Men and Juicy Couture's Dirty English) but this one is too synthetic and character-less. The brief opening is a bit like champagne and pie, but once it's gone it's closer to the smell of copier fluid. I will say if you smell it on your skin up close it's worse than if you hold your wrist as far from your face as you can. From that distance, you'll get vague floral and amber-ish notes. But I don't get any colors or images from this. I could see this being unisex and it's probably fine for the office, but there's not much creativity nor personality here.
