Falak

Nusuk Falak by Riifs is inspired by Maison Mataha's Escapade Gourmande, a unisex fragrance created by Vincent Ricord in 2020. Falak was first released around October 2025, first appearing on Amazon UK on the 30th of that month. If you like gourmand (good enough to eat, edible fragrances), then Nusuk Falak is an absolute gem from the UAE. I picked up mine on Amazon for £33 including delivery next day. The presentation is amazing, complete with a huge, ornately decorated quality box, beautifully printed and housing a gold coloured round tray on which the elaborate knobbly decanter style glass bottle rests at an angle and can spin around with a light touch. Some party trick! It sits in my fragrance collection and looks amazing. My batch code was a production date of December 2025, so literally straight off the line, and a five year shelf life date unopened is listed. The bottle is solid and of high quality and the sprayer likewise with a very decent spray pattern. The juice itself is beautiful from first spray when to my nose I get brown sugar, caramel, sweet gourmand yumminess that is both pleasing and highly addictive. My wife commented immediately on first spray how lovely it was, and although fairly linear on my skin for it's duration, the aromas are just so sweet, intoxicating and cake shop-like, that I kept sniffing my wrists and arms all afternoon. On my skin it turns to a delicious toffee accord and vanilla, like walking into a high quality cake shop, sumptuous and certainly not a fragrance that should ever offend anyone else's fragile schnozz. Let's be honest, most people love the smell of freshly baked bread and sweet cakes and biscuits, and this fragrance is as comforting and appealing as those moments. It also lasts on my fragrance hungry skin and although hardly beast mode, it's a solid performer for five to seven hours with a subtle sillage, low projection and aromas that anyone close enough to you will notice and appreciate. Anyone reaching over to greet/hug/kiss you will be enveloped in the creamy aromas and captivated for sure. And you will continue to smell that creamy accord all day if sprayed on your wrist and elbow pulse points, neck, behind the ears or use the scent cloud method (walking into the sprayed juice). I love fragrances like Mugler's A*Men, Pure Tonka, Pure Havane, Pure Malt etc, and although nothing like them in scent profile, Nusuk Falak is the exact same category of gourmand addiction and an instant love for me. And it's versatility is endless, wearable literally any season as it is simply a gourmand delight, come spring, summer, autumn or winter. It's so good, I immediately ordered a second bottle on Amazon to take with me on my forthcoming vacation. This has sweetness but is also grown up, mature, alluring, sensual, unisex for sure but perfectly suited to my older male skin, a gourmand lover's delight and is comforting, delicious waves of toffee and vanilla greeting my nose as the hours pass by. For the price, the presentation is awesome and the juice itself is astoundingly good. This has instantly become a signature scent on my fussy skin and I am delighted to have found the balance of a fabulous fragrance at a totally affordable price that lasts and smells exquisite. This takes a place amongst my faves, Mugler Pure Havane, Malt and Tonka, Maison Margiela By the Fireplace, Versace Eros EDP, Issey Miyake Noir Ambre and gives me a gourmand delight to enjoy whenever I want. This is simply beautiful.

I was not happy with this at all when I received it. I questioned the authenticity of it. After about a week it’s really starting to smell like EG, and it’s become much smoother. When I first sprayed it all I smelled was alcohol, the vanilla would begin to come thru as it dried down. For under $50 this is excellent juice! I’m assuming that because this has been fairly popular recently the company is trying to mix and ship as quickly as possible. Give it a few months... I am willing to bet it is going to be incredible once it’s matured. It already has nice sillage and I can smell it on my skin the next morning. Be careful if you spray your clothing, it’s very oily and will stain light color fabric. IDK how anyone can compare this to Jovoy’s Fire At Will... which is simply one of the best vanilla fragrances on the market IMHO. Falak is nice, but it’s nothing like FAW, and for that matter neither is Escapade Gourmand. I wonder if the people who say that have even smelled either of those fragrances

12/28/25: First spray, I was underwhelmed. It smelled like plain vanilla, and a bit alcoholic. 2/13/26: Tried it again at the office. It turned soft, skin-like, and just blended beautifully. After 6 hours I thought it was gone, but a coworker I rarely talk to suddenly grabbed my hand to ask what perfume I was wearing. I’m not an oversprayer, (6-8 sprays) so I think the sillage is good. However, I always became nose blind to this perfume. And YES, this smells so much better after maceration. Now it’s my number one fav perfume. Feminine, soft, and perfect for office wear. It’s definitely a safe blind to anyone who love feminine vanilla scents.

Initially, I smell marzipan, It then dries down to a warm milk, sweetened with honey and a rich tea biscuit on the side. It evokes feelings of comfort and reassurance. This will be magical in Autumn and Winter, when you crave warmth and safety. To me, I think this is phenomenal. I have read other reviews, saying they find it similar to Vanilla Voyage, I love Vanilla Voyage and I do not get any similarities whatsoever. Vanilla voyage is a thick, buttery Vanilla, whereas Falak, is soft and dreamy. It lasts approx 2 hours on my skin and has a weak projection, however, this is a new bottle, so hopefully as it sits, it will get stronger.

This is what Chabaud’s Lait de Biscuit should’ve been!! To me Falak is a mix between Escapade Gourmand and Lait de Biscut. It’s an airy vanilla mixed with caramelized biscuit's slightly dipped in milk. It’s smells amazing right out of the box. I prefer Falak over EG 100%. I find EG has more of the caramel note, while Falak is perfectly balanced & that biscuit note just takes it to a whole new level. Safe blind buy for vanilla gourmand lovers! (I have a 10ml decant of Escapade Gourmand & previously owned but decluttered Lait de Biscuit by Chaubad due to the weak juice)

Falak feels like it was custom-made for me. Sweet, deep, intoxicating, and mysterious... It gives total Maison Mataha Escapade Gourmande vibes, but without the mortgage! I love that it’s not a cloying, juvenile sugar bomb, but a truly mature, high-quality scent. Think crispy toffee biscuits and brown sugar, with absolutely zero milky/milkshake undertones. If you find Bianco Latte too heavy or cloying, you will adore this: it is much softer and more sophisticated. The bottle is a bit quirky in person, but hey, it fits on the shelf. A definite MUST HAVE!

This one came in today and is fantastic right from the start! I found Sticky Dates nausea inducing and Amore Caffè too intense, but this! Finally an airy caramel done well! I am not even a huge fan of this DNA, but can definitely recognise quality when it is there. Falak deserves all the hype, and layered with Maitha Attar oil by Lattafa (without overdoing) is simply delicious. Price quality ratio is unprecedented: I bought it for €21 and is an eye catcher on my dresser. 10/10.

I personally adore this DNA. I've delved into Niche fragrances before in trying and learning about, but was never impressed enough to pay. But I would be interested in the OG of this DNA. However a few YouTubes say the longevity on the OG doesn't warrant the price. It's true the scent profile isn't ground breaking. But if you love gourmands, I'm pretty sure you'll like or love this. I have 2 other brands that make this DNA on my radar. It's just easy, good alone, or layered.

This is lovely, very beautiful and very sweet fragrance. I never tried Escapade Gourmande, so can’t compare. I can’t differentiate any of the notes, but to my nose it is not a conventional caramel or vanilla fragrance, I never smelled something like that. I love Bianco Latte (and the dupes) and they are not similar at all to me, maybe in the same sweet universe. Edit: I could smell it in my clothes in the next day.

BEAUTIFUL GOURMAND. No lactones, no butter, no burnt plastic or coffee, no licorice or anise, no patchouli, no ambroxan, all of which are soooo trendy those days... :-( So that is the perfect gourmand for me. Very dry biscuit covered by brown sugar on my skin. Very similar to Cake on Mondays from Cocoa Pink, without the cinnamon note. Love.

Beautiful safe gourmand that does not cross the line of smelling like actual food. It’s a crowd pleaser, very difficult not to love. Smells exactly like you imagine reading the notes. No surprise and no deception. No ground breaking DNA, I bought it for bottle which is gorgeous. Now that the hype is down I got it for 19 eur.

The scent is beautiful, I've never smelled EG but it does smell like my Maitha oil. It has an elevated perfumey vibe to it. It lasts much better on me that Matcha Latte and smells more grown up and less casual. I like the bottle and the atomizer is really nice!

Brown sugar, caramel, and vanilla done softly. No sugar overdose, no caramel milkshake chaos. Just warm, edible sweetness that stays close to the skin. A cozy gourmand for people who like Bianco Latte but wish it would whisper instead of shout.

This is a very strong brown sugar forward fragrance. From reviews online I expected it to be slightly my fluffy vanilla, but it’s definitely more deep, rich and mature. It’s still pretty sweet but you do get subtle spice in the initial spray.

Never smelled the OG but this is a very very gourmand-y scent. In a good way of course. You will smell just like a sweet biscuit! Beast mode deluxe! Stays forever on the skin. Lovely! I’ll give this one a strong 8,5/10!

Yep like someone already said this is Escapade Gourmande for sure and bought a big bottle after my sample.

Just putting like for now as ive only worn it once, I recieved it yesterday. To me this smells very similar to a perfume I already own, I just have to search through the collection to find which one (i believe its attar maitha). But it is a lovely DNA. It's a distant cousin of bianco latte, and a half sister to escapade gourmond. This one does stand out on its own for sure. I wish it had more milky notes to it, to make it creamier, but that would put it a lot closer to bianco latte and with the amount of dupes for that in the market, it doesn't NEED it. The dry down is quite surprising, very toffee and amber, which is very lovely. Id say thats my favorite part, but ill wear it a few more times, and let it sit for a few weeks and update before the end of the creamy vanilla season. Currently without macerating id give it a 7.5/10 as I can still smell it on my clothes the next day

This is budget Escapade Gourmand. Is it the same? No. Side by side, EG has a richness and longevity that Falak won't match. But this is a solid alternative. I didn't get any particularly weird notes from it, but, like all ME fragrances, if they smell weird you need to let them sit for a while first so it can settle. I can afford a full bottle of EG, but I'm working through a 10ml decant at the moment. However, if/when I commit to a full bottle, I'll be getting something like Falak to go with it so I can spray with abandon and not worry about blasting through the entirety of my more expensive fragrance. Anything over $100/bottle is precious to me. I try to save them for when I feel fancy, and I use a solid dupe on regular smegular days

This is delicious! I have never tried the og so I cannot compare it, but it smells very sweet and caramelly. I will say though, when I first got this, perhaps due to mail shock, it was a weak fragrance. But after letting it sit, it did get stronger. I can see this being worn year round because it isn't super strong nor overpowering. Comparing this to Matcha Latte, they are very similar but ML has a coffee touch added to it (and no matcha whatsoever btw), whereas this is just caramel and brown sugar. I will say though, if you want this fragrance or scent profile but VERY much beast mode, try Scentual's Creme Brulee. That one is basically this but on steroids lol, and they also have a body oil that lasts the whole day.

Hey soooo, this is my 100% honest review... and I actually really, really like it! If you love gourmand fragrances but don’t enjoy anything that’s overly sweet or gives you a sugar overload, I honestly think this could be the one for you. It has that delicious gourmand feeling without becoming too heavy, syrupy, or childish. To me, this feels like a softer, more wearable take on Lush Sticky Dates. It has that warm, sweet, comforting quality, but it’s toned down and feels smoother and easier to wear. It’s the kind of scent that gives you that cozy “I smell amazing” feeling without screaming dessert. Definitely a gourmand for people who want something sweet but still elegant and balanced.

A slightly artificial version of Escapade gourmande, but not in a disturbing way. Dupes are usually recognizeable in their opening, just like in this case. Sugar and caramel is less smooth in the beginning, must be because of the biscuit note, but in the drydown it becomes very similar to Escapade Gourmande. Vanilla slips in easily🍧 Another difference that at some point of drydown it's like a creme brulée that's sitting in a clean, but dusty room. Sound very weird, but this is how I can describe. Falak also inherited the lack of performance and intimate sillage from the OG. Comparing the two, Falak worth its price for a similar experience what Escapade Gourmande can give.

Its Bianco Latte but less suffocating. As someone else said identical to Maitha by Lattafa oil. I'm happy to add it seeing as I found it on the second hand market and like I said it's a very mild version of BL which I PREFER over the original

Grown up gourmand, rich tea bisquits melted in warm honeyed milk. Sits close to the skin, but so comforting and delicious, the presentation is cute, you wouldn't want to throw that box away!

At first sniff yo get brown sugar. It’s a sweet gourmand fragrance. Dried down to a sugary caramel and I’m so obsessed with it. The bottle is so nice I’m hoping it doesn’t spin and fall.

I'm gonna have to let this sit to give a better review but for now this smells very similar to Vanilla Voyage without that sharp weird note that VV has. I haven't tried Escape Gourmand but having heard that it is close to Bianco Latte (and having Bianco Latte) in my collection, I can say that Falak is in the same area of Bianco Latte-ish type of DNA. There are certain caramel fragrances that have a rubbery note in them (Latte Abyad for example) but for me that is not a big deal braker. But it has ZERO longevity, even on clothes and that IS a dealbreaker. As usual, in my honest opinion, this is an ok fragrance but nowhere near as extraordinary as influencers say. Will come back for an update

A perfume I regret buying. Not because it's bad, but because it's quite bland. Absolutely nothing stands out about this perfume, except the bottle (which is quite beautiful, but a bit of a headache to manipulate). It a simple creamy, smoky vanilla scent with less than average performance (2-3 hours on my skin, 5 to 6 on clothes, projection quite subtle and intimate). I do prefer my perfumes to leave a bit of a trail and if you are anything like me, this is not a good choice. The scent is nice, it is definitely a safe blind buy, but he price does not reflect the performance. It is literally an over-hyped marketing stunt.

Even though it initially has a vanilla/biscuit scent, it turns into some kind of plastic smell that bothers me. This plastic note ruins everything, at least for me. I have Eclaire, Eclair Pistachio, and Riiffs Noor, and I don’t smell this kind of plastic in them. I had to buy this perfume because of all the good reviews, but like someone said here, Nusuk Falak is just overhyped. Also, the projection is very bad, it disappears after a few minutes. Very disappointing.

I absolutely love gourmand and this is definitely that, but i dont know if it's for me. It's very sweet, but kinda dark and heavy. Not creamy, lactonic or vanilla like I prefer. It's got a hint of spice too. It's almost like straight graham cracker. It's also not the right season so I'll give it a try this autumn/winter. I know people dont like the bottle, but i love the design.

Just arrived. I had great expectation and I am disappointed. Its braun sugar, vanilla, and coffee, quite weak scent, another Bianco Latte DNA, and not very good. And the bottle is just a crazy circus - I cant apretiate it when there is such an average scent inside. I will use it as a comfort scent when watching Netflix.

Update since my review in April. Longevity has gotten better on clothes, on my skin this still doesn't last. However it still has this weird burnt caramel rubbery note and even though it is not too strong it feels cloying at the same time. I ended up decluttering it.

The scent is actually beautiful, but it does not last :( this is my favorite scent from my Nusuk purchases and is the one that lasts the less...

really really wanted to love this but there is an artificial smell i can’t get past the best way to describe it is a biscuit that has a bunch of artificial ingredients in it. not for me, unfortunately, as the bottle is so unique and pretty. It is like a poorly made khadlaj cream velvet. if you have Bianco latte or one of the clones then you do not need this, this would be the worst of this dna that i’ve smelt.

I just received it and smelled it immediately. I had predicted a nice, warm, sweet scent. I'm disappointed, though. The brown sugar, caramel, and coffee notes give this fragrance a VERY spicy note. Similar to Swiss Arabian Shaghaf Toffee and Nebras Elixir. Later, it also smells a bit like an expired perfume. The box is prettier than the bottle; the bottle is not easy to use...

Smells like butterscotch... Not for me... The box and bottle are beautiful and unique but my bottle broke very easily... Very cheaply made

I hate the bottle you have no idea lol, but I have the og and this dupe smells extremely similar. I literally got 2 more bottles after receiving mine, it's pretty much spot on for a dupe, like 95%. Not everything is great though. The performance is horrendous, only the longevity was good, but projection and sillage is extremely low. Still I can't believe there's finally a cheap dupe out there. I kept buying the dupe made by DUA which was a bit over $100. Let's see if it gets stronger with time

Smells nice, but the bottle is obnoxious. I collect perfumes and this just takes up so much room, and doesn’t sit nicely with my other bottles. Is there someway to remove the pointed bottom and just have it sit flat...!? Other than that qualm, just juice smells good. Very sweet vanilla and brown sugar closer to EG, not caramel milk like BL.

Unfortunately There's something in this that gives off a medicinal smell, I'm not sure what it is, I'm hoping maceration will fix that medicinal odour .. Delete the musk & maybe the brown sugar & this would be gourmand perfection The positive is how they can make such a nice bottle plus the juice for £30 it's just baffling

Vanilla, caramel, milky notes. This is a nice gourmand that feels like a mix of Fire at Will, Bianco Latte and Escapade Gourmand. It is very intense. Fortunately it doesn't feel heavily synthetic, it feels a lot more expensive than what it costs. I think this is very nice.

So Sand+ Fog’s version of this is Vanilla Cake, it smells like plastic to me. I saw the plastic comments on here too. Fire at Will smells like plastic to me too. I wonder if Gourmand Escapade smells like plastic too to many people?

Got this yesterday- bottle arrived damaged, which kind of put a damper on it. I don’t have an opinion on longevity or projection... the smell is gorgeous. My issue is, it’s really oily. Curious- anyone else have this issue?

A typical ultra-sweet gourmand bomb. A classic crowd-pleasing fragrance (for people who want to smell like sugar), with a rather generic scent profile that is fully in line with the type of product it represents.

to be honest I only bought this for the spinning bottle but I’m not mad at all! if you’re a fan of escapade gourmande, you’ll probably love this too.

I already have Matcha Latte, Maitha, and Tempt Me Not, but I am obsessed with this scent profile. I may have to get my paws on this one tooooo😏.

Longevity is okay, sillage is super faint. I absolutely can't understand how someone would vote this as enormous sillage lol
